So I asked for someone "good", because I got someone before that was not very good. They told me I would get Holly. Well, I got Mery, who happened to be the not so good person. I have never been treated so poorly at a nail salon in my life. I like to treat my 8 year old daughter to mani pedis as a fun day date for the two of us. The words that came out of her mouth were "This is supposed to be a place to come relax at and I've never felt so stressed." Long story short, we were separated for each our mani and pedi.. so when her mani was done she came over to me in tears saying her nail tech pinched her fingers so hard and she was very rough. My tech was very short with me and also aggressive. We both played musical chairs as other customers came in with several different techs helping us. I was left 4 times during my pedicure while my daughter waited over an hour to have hers completed. As customers came in they would leave her to finish the adult, then go back to her. When a customer came in they asked her to move to a kiddie chair that she did not fit in so that they had room for the walk in. This was IN THE MIDDLE of her pedi. 2 hours 45 minutes and $140 later my daughter's nails are already chipping and I am unhappy with mine. We will not be returning. read more

I wish I would have taken a picture of her fileing job. I went in there to get my nails taken off from a different salon and she was very sweet and asked me about my day a couple times. She kept skidding me with the drill and it burned. When the nails came off completely, I asked her to file, and shape it and she handed me the file and basically pushed me out the door telling me to keep it. It was very rushed I paid and left. 5+ stars!!! I found this place on Google today and saw good reviews so I went on the fly. I was greeted with happy, smiling "HELLO'S" the moment I walked in. They won me over immediately. Everyone is SUPER friendly, interactive, you get the free soda or water, and tons of attention. The shop is VERY clean!! I watched every technician open new tools to work on clients, and I even saw one get dropped and she opened a new tool instead of using it after falling on the very clean floor. I was waited on by Lenna doing my pedicure, BEST freakin' leg and foot massage, and also Nancy who offered a manicure with just a "slice" of white on the tip. It's sooooo pretty and sleek. I had dip before wanted to just change to some short french tip looking nails. Didn't want the actual french tips put on. I got acrylic put on my nails when I said dip, and the lines were crooked that made the "french tip" look. There was even missing acrylic on some parts of my nails and on some the acrylic was put beyond my nails, it was put on my finger lol I'm never happy with the way my nails look when I get them done here but my reg place was closed and wanted to give them another try. **I struggled with the rating - I've not had real issues in the past - just with recent new techs in the salon** Ladies - you know I love you and have been coming to see you for 9 years, but the service I've received the last 2 times is not the type of service you typically offer. I do not make an appointment, I'm a walk in, and I absolutely do not mind waiting. The ladies who have been at T Nails are wonderful and easy to work with, but a few of the new ones have left me feeling irritated and frustrated when I leave - not even tipping after one visit - which is not like me at all. Two weeks ago I went in for a shellac mani, and a new tech waited on me. She started filing my perfectly rounded nails into squares - after I showed her exactly how my nails looked and what I needed. Although she attempted to correct the shape, let's face it - once ground into a square shape it's hard to make it go back to a rounded shape. She did not follow the proper shellac process and my color didn't look right that same day, she didn't clean up the edges, nothing. I was beyond irritated when I left, not leaving behind a tip and writing a note on the bottom of the receipt. This Saturday I went early for a basic pedi - and had another new tech. I usually get the #2, without the scrub but with the wax instead - I'm happy to pay extra if need be. She argued with me about that and finally did what I asked. She didn't do a good job on my heels, and then argued with me about putting on my shoes - although they were fine to slide over my pedi - wear them there all the time. Again, frustrated - I got up from the chair barefooted. Although I tipped this time, the tip wasn't more than what I would have paid, as I received $4 off my total - the tech got back the $4. Although I'm going to be in this part of town for another 8 months, I may have to find a new salon. I go to the nail salon to relax for an hour or so, not leave feeling irritated and frustrated. read more

Pedicures are also fantastic. I don't ever feel rushed and the ladies really take their time with rubbing in lotions/oils. Perhaps they are under new management because I've had 2 recently unfortunate experiences when it comes to nails. First off they double book and lack regard for your time. If it isn't bad enough they are behind... they don't even complete the job they want you to spend at-least $45 dollars on. I been going to this nail shop for 8 months. I went one day to get a new set but the ladies suggested I just get a refill and for cheaper. I agreed with her & I trusted her because I liked the nail shop & service! I went back today, a month later, she (Helen) took off the old nails and I had fungus under my nails. Instead of her trying to fix her mistake she kept trying to downplaying it after several questions, "I'll put a nail over it, it's okay." She also humped her shoulder at one of my questions pertaining to my nail. I asked for her manager and she damn near refused to get her but I got up and proceeded to have a conversation with her manager. She sent me too another nail tech who told me it was fungus and help me out. The manager was cool until she tried to give me a discount for the next time I come in instead of that day I found out fungus was under my nails. This has never happened to me with a nail shop. We have been going off and on to this place and will finally stop. Every time we go will feel more and more like just another tip. They try to take on too much and give poor sloppy service unless you are one of their favorites. They offer special neck and shoulder massages that they charge for and really pamper those clients because their bill and tip will be high. Some places include that in their service. I've requested it once and if someone wants to pay for it; that's good for them. My problem with them is that they are always less than a great experience. The wait is always long, sometimes upwards to over an hour easily and you will see people walking out in frustration. It's only as people are walking out that they try to get them to stay. They don't offer any customer service to you while you are waiting all that time before you give up and walk out. My daughter liked this place and would beg me to try again. This last time we went; her nails were not even and they left powder/glue over the sides of her nail on her skin which she says is painful. If you look closely, the powder is not smooth and even and looks lopsided just like another viewer posted. I hate going because every single time I go for a pedicure; I get nicked and bleed! Yes, bleed! This last time was the worst as it would not stop bleeding and she kept applying the usual stinging agents on it to stop the bleeding and keep it from getting infected. The thing is, she never apologized or even acknowledged she did it. I finally said something and she just kept on working. The person who did my shellac manicure saw that one of my nails had broken too short. She put a tip on it and I thought it was a nice gesture to have my nails look even...only to see it looks way bigger than all my other nails and was charged an extra $5 for it! For my daughter and I getting medium level pedicures and one full set shellac and one shellac manicure; we spent almost $200 and were not satisfied. We tried to tell them and all they do is talk fast and get you out the door. I am one to complain if really warranted but my daughter didn't want me to and it was supposed to be a special mommy and daughter day so I didn't want to spoil it. I hope this review helps. I'm gonna say that I'm not very impressed. I have been here a few times and never had a complaint till my last visit. At the very start, I had mentioned that my nail on my pointer finger looked crooked. By crooked, I meant that the thickness of the nail looked off....not by a little...but by a lot. She kept reassuring me that after she filed it, it would look right. I have had my nails done for so many years that I have never had it look so lopsided and then it magically look better at the end. Well what do you know at the end the nail still looked crooked. I said it at the end again (after multiple times of telling her) and she wanted to try to fix it at the end but my hour break was up.
