I'm so glad I tried this location! Brooke was amazing and my wax came out great! I love all the personal touches this location has. The rebooking reminder board was awesome. Gabriella was amazing!! I was nervous to get waxed after the last time at a different spa caused my face to break out horribly. She was amazing at explaining to me the difference in the products used and offered me a calming mask after that reduced the redness and my face didn't break out!! Wonderful experience all around! I have been to this location on and off over the years since moving to the area. This is the first time I felt compelled to leave a review as I had such a great experience. I went in for a Brazilian over my lunch. Not only was Gabie very quick, she was professional, sweet, and the wax was almost painless. It had been a very long time since I had been waxed and she was very thorough without dragging the appointment out. From walk in to walk out was about 35 minutes and that included spending time reviewing products and coming up with a plan to prevent ingrowns. To be clear, she did not push excessive product or at all, just helped me refresh my aftercare since it had been awhile. I really appreciate that approach. This was my first wax with Gabie but I felt so comfortable that I ended up wrapping up our wax chat sitting up on the table without my pants on (sorry! ). Overall a much better experience than I had in the past and I will definitely come back. read more

If I could give zero stars I would!! Horrible customer service and extremely racist. How do you allow your employees to tell paying customers their skin color changes the effects of waxing?? If I could give zero stars I would. I don't know who these other reviewers are, maybe friends of an owner or employee, but they aren't being honest. Please be careful with this location. I have been to different locations as I travel a lot for work and I have never been treated so poorly. I interacted with 2 different employees in the building Harley and Brittney and wouldn't recommend either of them. I complained of pain and they ignored me and claimed I was being too sensitive. I have never had issues before and then they blamed my skin tone. If you can't work with melanated customers then just say that. Don't trust this rating. find another location. read more

Waxing in the City offers a lot of appointment times, which makes it easy to schedule an appointment. You do have to call to cancel an appointment. They offer a 20% off discount for one service for first time clients. I got a brow and lip wax, and it was less painful than where I usually get it done. come here every month. they are very good at their job and very knowledgeable. I like that they have a membership program that gives you a discounted rate. I also like that after they wax they go in and inspect for left over hairs or ingrowns, etc. they put powder, clean the area, etc. they definitely take their time and put care into their work. The only thing I would change is for the staff to communicate to each other about the forms we fill out, because I put on mine I was pregnant and one of the techs recommended me something pregnant woman can't use. read more

My wax was too painful to finish and this is a first. Not sure if it was the wax or the esthetician but having to go over the same areas 2-3 times each then tweeze felt like death. Even with taking pain meds in advance I found my legs still shaking and breaking into a sweat trying to tolerate the pain before calling it quits. Second worse wax experience. read more

I decided to book with Christina and that is one of the best decisions I would make. I got a Brazilian and an eyebrow wax. Christina's helped to eliminate any anxiety with her friendly and professional demeanor. She made sure to inform me about the products she would be using on my skin. She entertained all the questions I asked and even recommended products that would help me. I did not feel the pressure from her to buy what she recommended. Which, to me, is great!
