Love this place! Every time I go, I always fall asleep because it's so peaceful. Son always does my lashes so pretty and natural. They use great products because my eyes are never irritated when he's finished, and my lashes last for several weeks. Also, my real lashes remain healthy and long when I take breaks. The staff is very friendly, the shop is clean, and Son is always very punctual. I never have to wait for him to finish another client or anything like that. It makes it very easy to schedule appointments during my lunch breaks, which I love, because he starts and finishes on time. I would definitely recommend trying this shop. *** NEGATIVE STARS *** I went here for my birthday lashes and even provided a picture of what I wanted. She went ahead and did whatever SHE wanted to do. I asked for the longest volume to be 18, if not 16. She said she couldn't because I've gotten my lashes done only once before and that was years ago. However, the first time ever of having my lashes done, I had went to Amazing Lash Studio and they gave me longgg voluminous lashes and that was my first time ever getting my lashes done, my lashes CAN withhold the length. Her excuse was not valid. The products she used hurtttt, mind you, I know how it normally feels but her products hurttttt. She kept trying to take pictures of my eyes but they kept tearing up. The lashes themselves are ok, they do look natural and the lady comes off sweet but then was talking shit about the picture of lashes I wanted while she was on the phone. She kept saying "kiss lashes" and laughing. I could hear the other person on the phone laughing as well. Now I have a Waterpark to go to today and cannot get them fixed due to me being in the water. I love this place, Cindy (10+ year's experience) did my lashes beautifully, but her son I've heard is amazing as well (his name is son). She listened to exactly what I wanted, I got a wispy set. I'm very picky with my lashes and have had a lot of bad experiences. She made sure I was okay the entire time, always checking on me. It was a tiny bit pricey, but you get what you pay for and more. I've waited two week since having my lashes to write this review for retention reasons. They stay on soooo good which is something a lot of lash techs have trouble with. My lashes still look great, definitely going in for a fill soon. She highly recommended the boba shop next door (delicious), then we even had boba together. I've only gotten my lashes done once before visiting Lux Lashes for the first time. I can honestly say I've enjoyed my stay here! Cindy immediately picked up my phone call and set up an appointment only two hours later (on a sunday). She quickly got to me as soon as I arrived and she listened to what I wanted done - I didn't even know how to explain what I wanted since it was only my second time, and Cindy made my lashes better than I imagined! The first time I got my lashes done (at another lash studio), my eyes burned practically the whole time. My eyes watered so badly and my eyes constantly twitched with the under eye pads. But here at Lux Studio, the under eye pads were nice and cooling, my eyes didn't burn, water, or twitch, and you can hardly feel their hands touching you because she was so gentle! It was extremely quiet that I thought we were the only ones there but there were other people in the next room! There was also some soothing music playing that I even fell asleep! First time coming here for lashes and I had such a great experience. Cindy, who scheduled my appointment, was very sweet on the phone and was able to schedule me for an appointment before going to work. Although I have had eyelash extensions done on me before, they were never professionally done. I would just choose to do it because either it was free or because it was for an extremely low price. So with that I would always feel my eyes burning during the process and cause them to be extremely red and irritated afterward. Most recent experience was horrible! Nail technician glued my eye shut because of her not properly placing the gel pad. Overall, I was definitely nervous before coming to this place, but I am so glad I chose to come. Ashley was the one who did my lash extensions and I am so happy with them. I let her know that I had work at 1:00 and she got it done within an hour or so. For the most part this place is amazing. It's very easy to get an appointment even last minute. They're clean, polite, and the lash application is mostly comfortable (no poking as with some other technicians, though I have experienced some burning from the primer and glue), and the lash application was exactly what I asked for and very natural looking (another lash expert confirmed the work is top notch). The only reason i'd dock a star-- is as it turns out i'm very very allergic to the products. Lux Lash studio seemed very surprised, said none of their other customers have problems and worked to troubleshoot the issue first with applying farther from lash line, then removing the primer which caused significant burning, and next we were going to try swapping eye pads for tape. The problem is, each time I go my reaction gets worse. This last time my eyelids became visibly puffy and red (where in the past they were itchy but neither red nor puffy and mostly my eyeballs were bloodshot and itchy). I asked if we could switch to a sensitive glue and I get the impression they only have one glue option. Again they commented 'no one else' has any problems with their glue. My newest symptoms are what I've come to learn as a 'classic' adhesive allergy response. So, if there's no option for trying another glue -- i'm forced to leave Lux Lash studio and either quit extensions forever or try another place that does have sensitive glue. I'm sad, because I did like this place a lot, the prices were reasonable, and it was easy to access. read more

The tech Kim does NOT listen to her clients. I specifically requested her not to tape my eyelids open... Due to the fact that I have a severe response to the glue. However she proceeded to tape them open anyway and of course my eyes begin to water and burn very severely... Then she took the tape off and taped them open again just a little bit less. I don't understand why she didn't just adhere to my request in the first place. Secondly, I paid $100 for what was supposed to be a mega volume set ...and I had hardly any lashes on my eyes at all. Then she told me that my mega volumes didn't have mega volume because I didn't have enough lashes for mega volumes however she still charged me the mega volume price why would you charge me $100 for a refill of mega volumes if I don't have enough lashes to achieve mega volumes? Lady name Tao (starts with a T) did my lashes and I wasn't satisfied with the whole experience. She didn't talk me and just went straight in telling me to lay down. I thought maybe she was going to talk to me about the process when I lie down. I told her It was my first time getting extensions and i had couple of questions. She said I was going to like the lashes and not to worry. I asked her about the process and she wasn't responding. I noticed she didn't know a whole lot of English so I took a deep breath and let her continue. While I was laying down, this guy(works there too) comes in and talks to me because I'm sure he was listening and heard she wasn't responding to my questions. I started Talking to him. Then I was fine. At the end, she just told me to not to wet the lashes for 24 hrs and that's all. She didn't elaborate anything else. She didn't explain the post care of the lashes and didn't give me a spoolie brush. And she took 2 hrs. (I asked the lady in the front desk how long It was going to take and she said about an 1hr &15 min) Through out the week and half my eyes were getting irritated and I had to remove my lashes elsewhere. On one of my eyes, the lashes were falling off and the other one was still in place. The lady i went to for the removal of the lashes mentioned that she put a lot of glue on one eye which cause the irritations. I don't recommended this lady at lux and won't be coming to this place again! read more

My entire experience was negative. I broke my neck to make it to my appointment on time because she only had one opening before i went on vacation. I arrive on time and ended up waiting 30 minutes for her to finish the previous client. Viviana I think her name was. She was not very welcoming. I informed her it was my first time thinking she would guide me through the process but she only said "sit your things over there and lay on the table". The process was about 2 hours long. The lashes looked nice at first but I noticed a lot of irritation. I assumed it was normal because it was my first time. She didn't tell me about aftercare she simply took my payment then gave me a card with the after care on it. Long story short my eyes were irritated my entire trip and lashes continued to fall out even after following the directions on the after care card. Now after only a week I have maybe 2-3 lashes remaining on my right eye and less than 1/2 on my left eye. I attempted to reach out but she never answered my calls nor returned them. I won't be returning and I don't recommend them especially when there are so many people to choose from in the Houston area. read more
