We had dinner tonight. 1st time. Comfortable. Fresh food such as bread and calamari. I ordered veal Parmesan and remain confused. Bone in butterflied veal. Paper thin and dry with bread crumbs. Little sauce and less cheese. All I tasted was crunchy bread crumbs. I don't understand the bone in? Added nothing. Serve this dish as bone in veal parm. Medium. Not butterflied. Add sauce and generous cheese. $$48? Was over priced for that dish. read more

Service was excellent this evening for our first visit to Viola Cucina. The owner made a nice effort to introduce himself and to give us an overview and history of the restaurant. His personable manber was imbued upon the experienced, knowledgable and friendly staff. Our drinks were terrific and the food was excellent. It is very rare that I would post an unfavorable review. We have frequented Viola a number of times, however, this time around was disappointing. We were treated coldly and felt rushed as the check was delivered with dessert even though we spent a considerable amount on dinner each time. Needless to say, turning over tables seems to be their new priority rather than customer service. Customers should be treated kindly and enjoy their meal as business can die very quickly by word of mouth. Sadly, it will be our last time dining there. read more

Never written a review before but I had to do it after eating here last night. The food was amazing. I'm not usually an Italian guy but this was not your average Italian restaurant. Everything we ordered was a wonderfully crafted and beautifully executed dish. What really prompted me to get on yelp though, was the hospitality. Every single person working there, from the bartender to the young gentleman starting us off with water, was super friendly, welcoming, confident and knowledgeable. The entire staff that we interacted with, including the owner, seemed genuinely happy for us and for themselves to be there. As someone who has worked waiting tables and bartending for 15 years, I can appreciate how truly rare a place like this is. Viola Cucina, ya'll are awesome! Many of our neighbors posted glowing reviews on various social media platforms so we had to try it. The hype was justified. We had a 7:00 resy on a Saturday night and our table was waiting for us. There is limited seating so we were pleased that they take reservations seriously. The vibe is lively when the place is full. By the time we finished, only a few tables of patrons remained and things quieted down a lot. At least this night, it was an early crowd. Service was attentive and professional. Wine assortment wasn't extensive but something for everyone. I had the bone-in veal chop parm served with some pasta and it was very good. Wife had chicken valdostana which she enjoyed and had plenty to take home. Accompanying risotto was delicious. Our friends had the exotic mushroom dish and rigatoni Ala Norma and they said both were delicious. A much needed addition to local dining options. And by the energy of the crowd (and comments from the owner that they've been busy since day one) Viola has a bright future. read more

We have been there twice and going again this Friday. We eat at the bar and have a blast with Ali...great personality! Food is excellent...eggplant appetizer, veal parm, pasta with burrata. She was impressed by the reviews and wanted to try this fairly new restaurant. drinks and appetizers came promptly, but not our dinners Told 3 times over the next 45 minutes by our server that our meals would be out shortly. At the third time, let him know that we were very disappointed with the wait. Still took a while longer to get our food, which was good but lukewarm at best. By this point, at least two other parties who came in after us, had already finished their meals and left. This should never have happened. They offered some drink compensation but by this point we just wanted to leave. read more

Came here for a ladies night and the reviews lived up to my expectations. The ambiance was relaxing and our waitress was very attentive. The food was delicious and well seasoned. My palate lit up with the first bite of my meal, it had the perfect level of spice and was not super overwhelming. We tried the focaccia bread which was fresh, airy and tasted wonderful in combination with the spread that was provided. My only negative is that we were sat directly next to the kitchen at the bar . I left smelling very strongly of food in my hair, clothes, jacket. I made a reservation days prior so it was disappointing that they squeezed us into a small corner. I think most women would dislike their hair let alone clothing smelling like straight food on an evening out. The location is also very small and slightly cramped which I expected from others mentioning the same in reviews. I wouldn't recommend sitting next to the kitchen and hopefully next time I come I won't be sat there again. read more
