Fantastic charcuterie
Kerri L.

Eclectic. Cozy. Hands down the best little underground restaurant on Main Street in downtown East Greenwich. It gives off a speakeasy vibe and has a bunch of little tables with unique seating options ranging anywhere from vintage couches to outdoor patio furniture. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and taken to a "balcony" table which gave my husband and I an excellent vantage point to take in all of the charming details. Our waitress was amazing... perfect blend of personable and professional. She made sure our glasses were never empty and quickly cleared away our dishes before bringing our next course. Speaking of courses... they were offering a special Valentines four course dinner for $100 per couple and an optional wine pairing with each course for another $25 per person. Very reasonable prices especially when considering the quality of food. We will definitely come back. They have an intimate bar area as well as a courtyard for summertime dining. Plus, they have gluten free options!!!!

Cute spot to grab some wine and a charcuterie board. We went early on a Friday and were surprised to see the back patio already all filled up. We ended up sitting inside which has a cute rustic vibe to it. I actually think I read somewhere that their building is the oldest building on Main Street. The service was slow, but super friendly. We shared their small charcuterie tower for two and it was super filling and chock full of delicious options. We also tried one of the sandwiches which was tasty, but I'd probably just stick with charcuterie next time. I appreciate that they do a monthly wine flight with a solid variety of wines. A lovely spot for a date night or a "girl dinner", especially if you can score a spot on their patio under the bistro lights.

Hummus and Burrata...so good!

First time there for dinner. Such a great spot. We ate outside, as I had my dog with me and received amazing service. (The inside is adorable.) The food was absolutely delicious. We got the hummus and burrata and the muffuletta sandwich. The cocktails were delicious too...huge selections of wines and some cocktails. I would highly recommend. They were also amazing to my little dog and he got multiple treats from the staff!

Great service, and such a cozy spot to enjoy a glass of wine! We ate dinner before walking here so unfortunately we didn't get to try out the pizzas they serve here but they looked delicious. Definitely try the Sangrias! We got ourselves a couple glasses of wine as well and they were great picks. In addition, it was a nice evening outside, so we took advantage of getting to sit in their patio area-the vibes were perfect and we'll sit out here as well next time we visit Graze!

Affogatto

What a find! For $50, I ordered a charcuterie tower (plenty for 2 people), a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, and my absolutely favorite dessert, Affogato. Everything was delicious. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was that of a charming wine cellar. It's directly across from the Greenwich Odeum, with free parking in the municipal lot next door, and the perfect place for a treat before a show. I can't wait to return!

I think this may be my one of my new favorite places. Absolutely charming. We sat outside and had a wine flight each. We also got a charcuterie tower. Every single item was delicious and extremely fresh. We will surely return!!

What a nice surprise! Friendly service, beautiful ambiance and great charcuterie tower with a little of everything, all fresh cheese, meats. Comfortable seating inside and thoughtfully decorated.

Charcuterie for two? This beautiful little box is available right from the case. Go picnic like a rock star.

Heard about this little gem after searching for "cheese shop" in Yelp. Came here because of the reviews as we were unsure of where else to go for a nice charcuterie board for my brother-in-law's birthday.party. He loves wine and cheese and this is DEFINITELY the place to come if that's what you're looking for in the area. It's a charming little space that offers personalized and expert attention if you're not sure what you want, but also a huge selection of the best, high quality items available for your needs and desires if you're an expert as well. Wines are all organic and sulfate free. Meats, cheeses, jams and fruit are all fresh and top quality. An outdoor patio is also opening soon. Personal service. Expert advice. Delicious options for any palate and artful design and attention to detail. They even throw in wine glasses when you buy two bottles. Can't miss if you're planning a get together. Check it out and see for yourself.

The cutest spot for a date night or girls night. The menu is small but the charcuterie was delicious and enough for the 3 of us! The staff was very knowledgeable about the wines they offer which was helpful when picking one out! Def recommend.

Not only was it absolutely delicious, but it also doubled as an arm workout for the day. LOL Our waiter went above and beyond tending to every detail. He provided exceptional service. The chefs outdid themselves with their salmon dish, and my husband loved his steak. Usually, we find seating at the bar, but this time we sat in the dining area which felt more refined. If you haven't been here yet, you have to check it out! It's an oldie but goodie... a RI staple.

I found that the tuna steak appetizer was slightly overcooked (not sure how) and had a fishy taste. The portion sizes of the food and what is charged for them doesn't really add up. If you add chicken to the pasta with marinara, you're looking at ~$28 for what is the equivalent of maybe 4 fork fulls of angle hair and a chicken nuggets worth of chicken. Its a leg up from Greggs or Chelos, but I would argue that Greggs and Chelos are probably a better value for a somewhat equivalent meal. The service staff do a great job and are attentive, which is the saving grace. Probably won't come back unless we get a gift card.

Our server, Jenna, visited our table soon after we were seated and brought us water. We were waiting for other members of our party, and she never made us feel rushed or pressured. While waiting, we put in drink orders and the "Lavender Fields Forever" cocktail that I ordered (Rhodium Gin, lavender syrup, fresh lemon juice, snap pea simple syrup) was so delicious, and garnished with a beautiful sprig of lavender flowers. We ordered two appetizers: Point Judith Calarmari and Corn Arepas. The calamari had too many tentacles and not enough rings for me, but the arepas were excellent. The cornmeal base was crispy and hot, and there was just the right amount of meat and toppings. For entrees, our group ordered the Chimichurri Grilled Chicken sandwich, The rigatoni with pink sauce and sausage with crispy chicken as an add on, the short ribs over mashed potatoes, the Wood-Grilled Bone-In Pork Chop, and the Rib Eye Steak. We all enjoyed our entrees. It is evident that Iron Works uses high quality ingredients and puts a great amount of care into the preparation fo their food. We split three desserts amongst the five of us: The flourless chocolate torte, the cheesecake, and the Banoffee Sundae. The flourless torte was rich and very chocolately, and the cheesecake was very good as well. I'm not a fan of bananas, so I didn;t try the Sundae, but the friend who ordered it enjoyed it. After dinner, we sat and chatted for awhile,, and we never felt rushed or pressured to leave. This was a very enjoyable evening in a great restaurant environment with delicious food.

Most egregious: the shrimp that came with the Caesar salad was POPCORN SHRIMP coated in SWEET-AND-SOUR sauce. I truly couldn't believe it. Why wouldn't the server at least warn me? To add insult to injury, my salad was overdressed and soggy. Also, the dressing was revolting. I don't mind anchovies for flavor, but the dressing tasted like an anchovy puree. I think it was maybe past its prime. I had one bite and couldn't continue. Inedible. And the fries. The parmesan truffle fries were drenched in mayonnaise??? I don't really care for mayo but I don't mind a drizzle or an aioli dipping sauce. However, the mayo to fry ratio was literally 2:1. I tried to wipe it off and it was still like a mayo-fry soup. Inedible. I took everything to go and just trashed it. I've NEVER done that before. This is a delayed review (meal was a few months ago) and I'm still rattled by how bad it was.

Be warned, it's on the more expensive side for dining and may be a coin toss for "is it worth it" for those that enjoy a night out but also looking for value. Food was a mixed bag for us.... Starting with the smashburger was genuinely disappointing as the burger itself was dry and advertised as a "French onion" smashburger that failed to deliver any of the rich, savory flavor we expected with a name like "French onion smashburger". The hot honey Mac and cheese was very good and flavorful... The hot being more of a vinegary heat than I expected but the cream sauce was rich. Speaking of value earlier.... Smashburger was $20 and the Mac and cheese was $28. Entrees were $10-15 more it seemed but previous reviews all spoke highly of the entrees and would want to try them if we visit again. The overall service experience was disappointing for us. Not for the demeanor of the staff but everything else... We had a decent size group of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids) and was fortunate to have a dining room to help the kids burn some energy while not bothering the other diners. However, from ordering to entrees to arrive was 45 very hungry minutes. It also took 20+ mins just to get drinks. Once the food arrived, they also were short two of the kids meals which was thankfully corrected quick. We then were somewhat "gently" being asked to wrap things up by 3 staff members in 10 mins making the rounds to clear plates and any to go containers. We all understand the business in the food industry and turning tables, and trust me, after an hour from arriving to food on the table we wanted to get home for bed time. However, really sours the experience and would not advocate going here with large groups.... Between the kitchen and staff I can't say you'd have a guaranteed good time.
