What a great place ! We had a gift card and had been wanting to try it so made our way over Friday night. It's a really nice cozy place. I think it's a perfect date night or special occasion place. Great romantic atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and make sure our drinks were full. We had a yummy charcuterie board and some spicy chicken. It was all really good. It's not a cheap place , you will pay more but it's worth it for the quality. Highly recommend !

We were led to a corner table by Michael who greeted us at the door and was to be our server. As usual the room was noisy. (Later we asked whether the music volume could be turned down which they did, much appreciated) We scanned the menu and found it hard to not order everything! However, we started with a Martini and a Cubano Viejo - both of which were well made and went down nicely. While we were deciding we nibbled on delicious almonds. As usual we shared a number of dishes. The seasonal Croquettes, the Patatas Bravas (slightly spicy), Gambas Ajillo with extra bread to sop up the tasty sauce, and to top it all our favorite Lamb Chops. For dessert we had an excellent pistachio tart washed down with a glass of a fine Cabernet. All the dishes were excellent and deserving of the highest rating - rare for us. (Perhaps because everything jelled nicely. The check came to $140 o which we added a good tip. We had ordered too much and took some of the food home to consume the next day. Our server was very attentive and cheerful (I think we had him on a previous occasion). The experience was most enjoyable and we will certainly be back sooner than later.

What we got: The grilled calamari-was exceptionally tender... lots of flavor and spice not chewy at all. The razor clams- were very garlicky and lemony-delicious! The duck baclava- so interesting and different... tasted somewhat like a fancy bite of thanksgiving dinner with stuffing and all. Chorizo and cheese platter- good, it is what it sounds like. Drinks were fantastic as well, we tried a few different cocktails and also had a sample of an espresso martini- friendly bartenders! If you want to sit at a table instead of the bar, make a reservation... but the bar was nice! Good ambiance overall and would love to try other things on their menu- definitely a fun splurge night out on the town!,

It was Providence Restaurant Week and I wanted to specifically patronize a BIPOC business. We first started coming here during the height of the pandemic and we dined outside in the parking lot, which was actually a lovely experience. Since then the restaurant has expanded their outdoor patio area with a covered roof, giving us another reason to want to come back. It was really hot the day we went so we decided to eat inside, but we were not disappointed. There were noticeable changes since the last time we've been here. I love the upgrades, like the chic rechargeable lamps on the table (instead of votive candles) and the teensy spray of babies breath in a purple tiny vase. These small touches give the restaurant a modern flare while still maintaining that comfy feeling, and you just can feel it in your bones that you're going to get an amazing home-cooked meal. The Prix Fixe #PRW menu was really well curated there was so many choices. It was actually hard to decide, but my husband ended up with the marinated sirloin tips over mashed potatoes with spinach and a Demi glaze and I had the African lemon sauce, chicken with rice and salad entrees. All of the appetizers and the dessert options were also really incredible. The dulce de leite cake might just be the best dessert I've eaten all year! The staff was really incredible and attentive. Even when the manager had to come over and talk to me about my Yelp check in coupon, he was very kind and helpful. Long story short, I'm very particular and I had a five star experience at 10 Rocks I highly recommend!!!

I was with 3 other coworkers and we all did enjoy our time. Our waitress Sabrina was sweet, friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. I would say dress casual. My bf had the duck ramen which he really enjoyed and devoured, said wished there were more ramen in it tho which means he def wanted more lol. We had the gyoza app which was standard, wasn't a huge fan of the tangy sauce and chili oil. Maybe an additional sauce option offering would be nice? A cool thing they have is the blooming jasmine tea which the server told us was imported from Japan. Was very strong which shows the quality. Had a pink mocktail which was too tangy for my taste. We were a party of three, but it could have been a party of six with all the food we ordered. We had the first reservation at 5 PM. We parked on the street, but you can park in the lot and they will validate your parking for you. The service was a 5/5 and the ambiance can be casual or fine dining. The lighting is perfect for a romantic night out and the view of the Providence River right over your shoulder. We made our own board: Umbriaco di Raboso "Drunken Cow" - amazing cheese, very high quality, sharp, not over powering. Definitely get it! Provolone - sharp very good quality provolone cheese Proscuitto di San Daniele - sliced very thin, soft and flavorful. I was very pleased with the portion size and the flavor. A must have! Spicy Olives - assorted olives with a spicy olive oil. All of the olives were fantastic and there definitely was a good kick from the spice. They threw in the pickles, jams, nuts and honey, all were fantastic. I really liked the blueberry jam. The warm tapas came out at all different times. Fried Bolognese olives - Although these were unique and delicious, I would skip these next time. The Bolognese is just a pinch on the inside of the olive. It would be a game changer if there was a side of Bolognese sauce to dip them in instead. Eggplant - Definitely a must order. Super simple sauce packed with flavor and the buffalo mozzarella is to die for. The pork belly is also a must order. Tons of flavor and not a lot of fat, which surprised me. It was a good sized portion too. Now of the the pizza...we ordered Pizza Salumi. Very thin dough, wood fired for the flavor and the crisp. There is a good amount of sauce, which can make the crust floppy, but it's so worth it! The flavor of the sauce is so good. All fresh and top quality ingredients. The soppressata was perfect, taking this pizza to the next the level. It was cut super thin, as it should, and gave the pizza the flavor a margarita is missing. It would be tough not to order this next time. So just as we should have been walking out of the door because we were so full, we had the duck and the wood fired NY strip to split among the three of us. The duck - The duck dish came with the two legs so it was the dark meat with crispy skin. The duck was flavorful, moist, tender, and had some sort of apple based sauce to accompany it. The mashed potatoes were great and the Gorgonzola chunks were a treat, especially while sipping the sangiovese/cab red wine blend that we ordered for the table. The NY Strip was my favorite. The steak was tender and came with the flavor from that wood fired grill. The sauce was so good that I dipped every piece in it, trying to reserve some for the mashed potatoes. I ordered the steak medium rare + and it came out just how I wanted it. We ordered the lemon tart for my mom's birthday dessert. I would skip the dessert next time, but I always skip dessert. My mother loved it...very fresh and vibrant. I would have to say that Bacaro is my favorite RI restaurant, especially for a special night out. It is also a perfect spot to go and grab a snack or two with friends after work with a drink. It is affordable as you want and can find high end alternatives as well. The bottle of wine was $48 and you couldn't have asked for a better pairing with all of the food. We also ordered an after dinner cocktail, called the Call to Italy...very refreshing for a digestive type cocktail.

The issue was when we tried to get clarification on allergy-friendly options. We understood the menu may not accommodate certain dietary restrictions, but we were trying to order for other members of our family while also double-checking in person if anything could work for our child. What made the experience frustrating was how we were handled. We were told to stand outside and order online--in 25-degree weather--with a child, instead of being allowed to step inside briefly to order and ask questions. For a business serving pastries to-go, that felt unreasonable. We were also told the stools were reserved, despite there being only two patrons in the entire establishment. The staff came across as dismissive from the moment we walked in. It's a shame because we were really looking forward to the food, but no meal is worth being treated poorly. Business is business, but basic hospitality and courtesy matter.

The welcome aperitif was a great lil' treat to kick the night off with. We were given a mini charcuterie selection to keep us busy until the main event, which began about 20 minutes after we arrived. Vannaluck talked us through the history & characteristics of cognac. We were given 3 small pours of different cognacs to taste as well as a serendipitous, bonus mini pour at the end. Throughout the night, the kitchen sent out a variety of tapas that UTILIZED COGNAC. Cognac glaze, reduction, brine, etc. Fascinating!
