It's clear the owners put a lot of thought and creativity into making their cocktails the centerpiece of the experience. That said, the execution didn't live up to the concept. The menu appears to rotate regularly, and while the drinks were certainly unique, most of the cocktails we tried were hit or miss. At roughly $22 per drink, I expected more balance and refinement. One cocktail started with flavors reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but after the initial sip, the combination of bitters and fruit syrups created an unpleasant cough syrup like finish. We tried a mocktail as well, and it was mostly ice and soda water, with what seemed like a collection of syrups doing most of the heavy lifting. The drinks were creative, but many of the flavor profiles felt disjointed rather than intentional. The biggest issue, however, was the bar service and sanitation practices. I watched a bartender place a cucumber garnish into a glass using his bare hands, touching the entire garnish in the process. He then continued to take credit cards, cash, and other items before stuffing ice into additional drinks with his bare hands. Whether or not this technically violates health code standards, it certainly wasn't appetizing to watch and left a poor impression. Parking is another challenge. There is no dedicated parking, and unless you get lucky, expect to park several blocks away and walk. Overall, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the cocktail menu is ambitious, but the drinks didn't justify the price point, and the sanitation concerns were hard to overlook. I wouldn't rush back, especially given the cost and parking difficulties.

We sat at the bar, and I expected to receive service from the bartender, but he didn't acknowledge us for the entire night. Instead, our server took our order. After a while, she informed us that the crispy rice we ordered was sold out. She mentioned that the bartender was supposed to let us know, but he never did. What made the experience more uncomfortable was that the bartender seemed to be giving most of his attention to the Caucasian customers on the other side of the bar. We were the only Asian customers there, and unfortunately, this left us feeling like we were being treated differently because of our race. The good food and drinks helped compensate for the poor service, so we decided not to let it ruin our evening. However, things got even more disappointing at the end. After I paid, I noticed that I had been charged for the crispy rice even though we never received it. When our server tried to address the issue, the bartender appeared to ignore both her and us, so we eventually left. I hope management sees this review and reaches out to me to address the overcharge and the overall experience. Overall, although the food and drinks were good, the service and the way we were treated left a very negative impression. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

We stopped by late Saturday night and were able to snag an immediate walk-in at the bar at Hao Peng You, which is the intimate speakeasy portion of Midnight Oil. The decor definitely reminded me of my grandparents' house in Taiwan, with vintage, ornate wooden chairs, dragon/lion statue carvings, and even a historic century old marital bed that had been repurposed into a booth. The drinks were also VERY unique, with my favorite being Hua sheng (literally meaning peanut), which was crafted from a nostalgic childhood peanut milk drink. All our cocktails were crafted very well, to the point where I thought they were a bit on the lighter side since I couldn't really taste the alcohol. This section does get really busy though and only had one bartender who is making/serving drinks and taking orders, so do expect a bit of a wait. There's a small stage area in the back where they host a lot of events. There's also some outdoor patio seating and an event room upstairs. I started out with the Ooogie Boogie (Proper Twelve Apple Irish Whiskey, Manzanilla sherry, Mela apple liqueur, Luxardo del Santo, green apple juice, simple syrup, $15). This was absolutely delicious and not sweet at all. It has a few layers of crisp, slightly tart, apple flavor. You would never guess this is an Irish whiskey cocktail. She started out with the Deadly Nightshade (butterfly peaflower-infused Centanario Plata tequila, Tott's Champaigne, Crème de Violette, Van Gough Blueberry & Acai vodka, Salers gentian amaro, butterfly peaflower syrup, lime super-juice, $15). This was a solid mezcal margarita with a light pumpkin flavor and a hint of heat. The rim is a mix of cinnamon, turbinado sugar, and salt which was tasty. Bartender Zoe was awesome! They will then ultimately block you - presumably because too many people liked your comment. You guys, that's embarrassing. You need to do better. My comment was completely respectful and an honest concern for how I was treated the one time I ventured in with a friend. Deleting feedback you don't like, customer concerns, and then further blocking those people (I hadn't written anything else. I only noticed because I clicked on the notification that someone liked my comment and saw I was now blocked) makes you look shady and guilty. I'm not a bot, and I explained a very real, possibly discriminatory experience at your bar. If anyone reading would like to know the experience: It was October 21, 2024. A Monday. I should've written this review then but I didn't have anything nice to say, and didn't want to trash this place when it seemed they were struggling due to what the bartender said. I was going through a really tough time, having just canceled my wedding about a month earlier. It was my first outing after a month+ of deep depression. My friend came to rescue me and take me out. I had been meaning to try this place since moving to Long Beach. It was fairly early in the evening, probably around 8pm or so and it was pretty slow. There was music and two couples dancing. We grabbed a table and I went to the bar to get us drinks. As I stood at the bar, some guys had come up alongside me to wait as well. The bartender looked over me and promptly took their orders. I barely had any emotion left in me at the time so I didn't care, and just waited to be next. However, I waited. And waited. And waited. The bartender seemed to be intentionally ignoring me (now the only person standing at the bar). I watched him busy himself with other drinks for the tables, for the guys, and continue to ignore me. Time ticked by and I started to wonder if I was doing something wrong. My friend kept looking over at me from the table like what is taking so long? Minutes and minutes passed as I stood there awkwardly, being blatantly ignored. After a long stretch of time, the bartender quickly said something in my direction like, "If you want to order you're going to have to go to the other end of the bar." I said, "Oh ok thank you." And walked to the other end of the bar. From this point, I was ignored and talked about (full male bar staff) without being looked at. They rudely discussed in front of me how I was standing there, and how each one of them wasn't going to take my order. It had been over a half hour at this point, and I was the only one who had been standing at the bar. It was a slow Monday night. Because I was a broken hearted loser at the time, I started to tear up. Why was I being treated like this? Am I not someone they want in their bar? Is this place not queer or woman friendly?? Why is every other person getting served, while I am blatantly dismissed? After almost 40 minutes, the bartender on that end told me he wasn't going to take my order, and I'd have to go back to the other side again. I quietly walked back over to the other side, feeling so embarrassed and just wanting to leave. It was ridiculously clear I wasn't welcome here, though I had no idea why. I remained standing there for maybe another 10 minutes. The original guy finally relented and begrudgingly took my drink order. He was standoffish at first, until he realized I wasn't upset about any of it. He started to apologize, saying he was brand new, and told me some of the staffing issues they had had that night. He seemed stressed. He recognized he had served the guys before me, and I had been ignored for way too long. He apologized again, and poured us an extra shot in our drinks to make up for the poor treatment. The drinks honestly were terrible lol, but I can only complain about so much. Plus he gave us double the alcohol, so I guess I was grateful. We left immediately after and went somewhere else. I haven't been back since. I wish I could share screenshots of my TikTok comment with the owner's dismissive reply, so you could see for yourselves whether you think that deserved being blocked. She even liked one of my reels from my page? Very odd. People are going to share the truth about their experiences at your establishment, and for you to deny that and block them is wild. You could've responded in a very different way, but you chose to be defensive and shady. That's on you.

So this is a review that's been a *long* time coming (I've just been chronically overwhelmed for an…read moreequally long time.) I haven't been here often, but I *was* here right around when they opened, wherein I determined that the food ranged from quality but a bit overpriced, to just overpriced, a feeling I would still hold, generally speaking. Great vibe, solid service, but maybe a little pretentiously priced (and/or it's just stupid expensive to run a restaurant in this area, granted.) And with *super* pretentiously-priced cocktails, for how relatively simple they mostly are (if I'm gonna spend $18+ plus tip on a drink, I expect Baby Gee-level cocktails.) They also had an impressive wall of craft beer on tap, but also a bit pricey, especially compared to places not on 2nd street, so there was never a particular *draw*. But then I never actually finished reviewing it, because I'm super behind. Anyway, then also not particularly recently, they launched a happy hour, which at the time, especially for this particular part of Long Beach, was pretty stupidly good, with $5 decent sized smashburgers (6 with cheese, 10 with cheese and also fries), as well as $5 craft beer, pretty much all of them, including the fancy, exciting stuff (exciting if you're a nerd like me, the barrel aged stuff, for instance). They also had one specific half hour at the time, which I'd like to immortalize as a super fun idea, where one specific cheap but craft beer was some stupid price, I think like a dollar, but since they had a whole wall of rotating craft beer, a *different* specific cheap craft beer any given day. That's not relevant at all to my current review, but it was fun. Anyway, I still didn't write a review like a year ago when I took advantage of that happy hour, though I did take advantage of it a solid couple of times. Skip forward again to just a few weeks ago, I happened to be attending an event in the general area again, an event that was going to involve more alcohol than food and for which having a happy-hour-timed dinner in the area was going to be useful, so I figured I'd check out whether the happy hour was still there, and it was. At least as of a few weeks ago, the happy hour (3-6 weekdays) was still a thing, and it had gone up a whopping 55 cents per item. Ends up being effectively ~$17 plus tip for a quality smashburger, quality fries and a craft beer, though they didn't have as *many* of the fancy (barrel-aged or equivalent) stuff as they had the first time, they did still have some, and it was still $5.55 for any beer on draft they had. So happy hour wise, that's a pretty good price for this part of the country, I'd say. Obviously only since the burgers and fries *are* also absolutely quality burgers and fries. Not quite as wonderful as my gold standard smashburger at The Stache, perhaps, but still a great smashburger. My opinion on spending almost 20 bucks for what is effectively still just an old fashioned, hasn't changed, though. :p

Viaje is truly a gem in every sense of the word! I've had the pleasure of dining here numerous times, and each visit surpasses the last. The service is consistently top-notch, and I can't praise Viridiana enough for her attentiveness and expertise in guiding us through their impressive selection of tequila and gin. Now, let's talk about the food--it's nothing short of outstanding. I've ventured through many items on their menu, and each dish has left me speechless. However, there are a few standouts that I find myself returning to time and time again: the ceviche, arrachera, branzino, and of course, the heavenly churros. Every bite is a burst of flavor, and I've yet to encounter a dish that didn't impress. One thing that truly sets Viaje apart is their dog-friendly patio. As a proud pet parent, being able to enjoy a delicious meal in the company of my furry friend adds an extra layer of joy to the experience. Beyond the exceptional service and delectable cuisine, Viaje boasts a cool and inviting ambiance that sets the perfect tone for any dining occasion. The vibrant energy of the restaurant, coupled with its stylish decor and lively atmosphere, creates an experience that is as memorable as it is enjoyable. Whether you're catching up with friends over cocktails on the patio or savoring a romantic dinner indoors, the ambiance at Viaje effortlessly enhances the overall dining experience, making every moment spent here truly unforgettable. Viaje is a culinary haven that never fails to delight. From the impeccable service to the mouthwatering dishes, it's a dining destination that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking an unforgettable gastronomic journey. read more

Ah, yes, the culinary enlightenment! Allow me to applaud the restaurant for their exceptional ability to turn an ordinary meal into a luxurious gastronomic journey! What a hidden gem of a restaurant! First off, let me just commend their commitment to exclusivity. Who needs baby booster chairs or high chairs, right? It's all part of the master plan to encourage little ones to hone their balance skills early on. Truly innovative! And let's not forget their admirable dedication to the "grown-ups only" menu. Who needs those pesky children's items cluttering the menu? It's all about challenging the taste buds of the little adults in training. Kudos for keeping things sophisticated! And, the staff, they exude confidence like no other! I mean, who wouldn't want to be in the presence of self-proclaimed culinary geniuses? It's like being in the presence of Michelin stars, but without the pesky recognition and fame. So refreshing! This place is perfect if you're looking for a restaurant experience that's a bit different from the norm. Overall, my visit here was an enlightening experience, and I'm sure it will leave a lasting memory in the minds of anyone who ventures into this extraordinary world of gastronomy. If you're looking for an adventure that pushes boundaries and challenges your perceptions of dining, this is the place for you. Five stars for the audacious journey! read more

An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Viaje! From the moment we walked into Viaje, we knew we were in for something special. The warm atmosphere and inviting ambiance set the stage for what turned out to be an absolutely incredible night. May I also mention the background music selection was such a vibe! Anyways, our experience was unforgettable! Adrian, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, making us feel like right at home from start to finish. His attentiveness and dedication to hospitality were evident in every detail. We were also lucky to be served by Javier, who was not only professional but also incredibly engaging. His energy, laughter, and friendly demeanor added such a fun element to our evening. He made our entire party feel welcomed, as if we were dining with an old friend rather than just being customers. And let's not forget the food!!! absolutely phenomenal! Every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with clear attention to quality and detail. It's rare to find a place where both the food and service exceed expectations, but Viaje delivered on every level. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers exceptional service, a welcoming atmosphere, and unforgettable flavors, Viaje is the place to be. We will definitely be back! read more

I recently visited this upscale Mexican restaurant in Long Beach for a birthday celebration, and overall, it was a great experience. The ambiance leans romantic, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that adds to the upscale feel. The service was impressive--our waiters were attentive and accommodating, even with our large group. However, since our party was split into two tables, there was a noticeable delay in food arriving for the other table, which was a bit of a downside. As for the food, the flavors were on point. The skirt steak was well-seasoned and full of flavor. The ceviche featured red snapper as the catch of the day, and it was fresh and bright. The sea bass was cooked perfectly, and the grilled octopus was prepared well--tender, not too chewy, with chorizo on top and mashed potatoes that complemented it nicely. The salmon al pastor had a nice balance of flavors, though some might find it on the sweeter side. The mole was solid, about a 7/10, but the portion was generous. Drinks were also good, adding to the overall experience. Despite the minor hiccup with timing, it was an enjoyable dining experience. If you're looking for upscale Mexican cuisine with great service, well-crafted dishes, and a romantic ambiance, this spot is definitely worth checking out. read more

I decided to try Vaije last night, drawn in by the ambience. Unfortunately, I have to give this place one star due to poor service and underwhelming food quality. To start, I did appreciate how quickly they accommodated my canceled reservation, which initially gave me high expectations for the service. However, our server was inattentive throughout the entire night. I constantly had to flag down other staff members for basic requests because our server barely checked on us. He seemed far more focused on other tables and appeared annoyed when we decided to order only entrées and one full carte plate. I'm not sure why we were treated differently, but it was noticeable. As for the food, I really wanted to love their barbacoa tacos and dessert, but both were disappointingly bland, especially for the price. We voiced our concerns to a staff member clearing our plates--since our server was nowhere to be found--who said he'd pass the message along. Yet, our server never followed up. Overall, don't be fooled by the ambience. The service and food simply don't live up to expectations. read more

We had an amazing experience at Viaje in Belmont Shore. The highlight of our visit was definitely Bailey behind the bar. His knowledge of additive-free tequila was incredibly impressive. He took the time to explain different brands, production methods, and flavor profiles without ever making it feel overwhelming or pretentious. You can tell Bailey is genuinely passionate about tequila and hospitality. His recommendations were spot on, and we ended up trying tequilas we probably never would have ordered on our own. It's rare to find a bartender who is both highly knowledgeable and great at connecting with guests. The drinks, service, and overall experience were outstanding. If you're interested in tequila, especially additive-free options, ask for Bailey. He made our night and is a huge asset to Viaje. We'll definitely be back! read more

I recently visited Viaje Mexican Restaurant in Long Beach and had a pleasant experience overall. The food was good, though not extraordinary. We tried the guacamole, taquitos, empanadas, tortilla soup, and their strawberry margaritas & Viaje margaritas. The flavors were solid, but I'd rate the food a 7/10. The portions are on the smaller side, so I'd recommend ordering a few extra items to get your fill. What really stood out, though, was the ambiance. The restaurant has a clean, open, and inviting atmosphere that makes it a great spot to celebrate a special occasion, like a birthday. The staff was friendly, and the environment really contributed to an enjoyable time. Overall, I'd recommend Viaje if you're looking for a lively, pleasant place to dine out in Long Beach! read more

I had the most incredible dining experience at Viaje, and a huge part of that was thanks to Adrian, the manager. From the moment we walked in, he made us feel genuinely welcome with his warm hospitality and professionalism. Adrian went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect. He checked in on us at just the right moments, provided excellent recommendations, and made sure every detail of our meal was flawless. His passion for hospitality truly shines, and it's clear that he cares deeply about both the guests and the restaurant. The service, ambiance, and food were already outstanding, but Adrian's attentiveness took everything to the next level. If you're dining at Viaje, know that you're in great hands with him leading the team. Can't wait to come back! read more

The establishment's ambiance is aesthetically pleasing, and the cocktails offer were indeed delightful. Regrettably, our evening was marred by an unfortunate incident wherein my sister-in-law felt ill after consuming one of the seafood dishes. What compounded our disappointment, however, was the managerial approach demonstrated by Sergio in response to our predicament. His lack of empathy and the presence of sarcasm during our conversation starkly revealed his character. It is important to acknowledge the efforts of Adrian, our waiter, who made a sincere attempt to attend to our needs. Despite my desire to give another opportunity to this Mexican-owned small business, I find it challenging to endorse an establishment with such leadership. read more

This place is absolutely lovely! The interior is modern, fresh, and has such a clean, welcoming feel. The service was top-notch our server was friendly, professional, and really knowledgeable about the menu. My husband and I came here for Valentine's Day last year, and we had such a memorable time. We started with the sopas as an appetizer, and they were delicious. For the main course, I had the fish, and my husband had the steak--both were fantastic. The presentation of the food was also impressive. We finished off with churros and a chocolate dessert, which were both incredible. Whether you're planning a romantic date night or just a fun outing with friends, this place is perfect! read more

We had a fantastic experience at Viaje on 2nd Street! The ambiance was warm and inviting -- perfect for celebrations and date nights. Our server, Arturo, was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start. We'd heard amazing things about the margaritas, and while they were delicious, I felt they had a bit too much ice. Still, refreshing and tasty though! The food was absolutely BOMB! Every dish was a hit, but the ceviche was the real star for me -- fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The presentation of each dish was also on point, making the whole dining experience even more memorable. Highly recommend Viaje for a nice night out! read more

I've been to Viaje many times, and it never disappoints! Located right in the heart of Second Street, this place offers an upscale Mexican dining experience with amazing food, a great bar, and an incredible vibe. The atmosphere is super classy, with some of the nicest furniture and decor you'll find in any Mexican restaurant. You can tell they put a lot of thought into creating a high-end experience. The service is excellent, too. If you're looking for delicious Mexican food in a stylish, upscale setting with a great atmosphere, you've got to check out Viaje on Second Street. Definitely a spot worth visiting! read more

Viaje is hands down one of my favorite spots in Long Beach at this point. I keep going back and it hasn't let me down yet. The sopes de barbacoa are the reason I can't stop thinking about this place. The barbacoa is so tender and flavorful, and they nail the sopes every time with crispy on the edges, soft in the middle. Get the sopa de tortilla too. It's rich and comforting but doesn't sit too heavy, and it's a great pairing with the sopes. Vibe is laid back, staff's always been cool, and the food comes out fresh every time. If you're after elevated Mexican food in Long Beach, just go. read more

Absolutely loved this place! We sat outside, and the setup was super comfortable with heaters that made the night feel cozy and relaxing. The atmosphere was beautiful...perfect for a nice dinner or just hanging out at the bar. The service was top-notch...friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. I ordered the branzino, and it was amazing...perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Whether you're looking for a romantic night out or a spot to catch up with friends, this place is a great choice. The food was sooo good, we had the harachera, the enchiladas, and the blank ink aguachiles. We really liked the service as well, they had really good recommendations and were so attentive. The place itself is really pretty, w romantic low lighting, but still intimate/ bright enough for a group to have a conversation. Lastly, the music that was being played all night was soo good. Great mix of classic Latin pop, y2k Latin music, and new Cumbia's too read more

The restaurant itself is nice and the food is good, but the manager completely ruins the experience. This is the second time he has come to our table in a confrontational and dismissive way. During this visit, he even stated that "customers are wrong 95% of the time," which was both surprising and unprofessional. It's unfortunate because the restaurant has great potential, but with this kind of management, it's hard to return or recommend it. read more

I'd actually been here once before, quite some time, also at happy hour, but never got around to writing a review before it stopped feeling relevant. About a month ago, I had a reason to be in the area during happy hour again, so I decided to stop and try their burger. The burger is solid, though by itself, I'm not sure it's 13 bucks without fries level good. It's a good burger, and the fried mustard is great, but I didn't really taste any (advertised) plantain, nor whatever "chlorophyll aioli" is. As plated, it's like a 4/5 burger, compared to, for instance, my favorite burger place, Sideburns. It's also the first burger that seemed specifically *designed* to be eaten with a knife and fork, which on one hand really feels, in some way, to defeat the purpose of a burger... on the other hand, if you like spicy hot sauces, the extra star is for their house hot sauces, which I absolutely immediately used all three of to make a fantastic basically smash-burger ahogada. I'm pretty sure this is also the first sit-down restaurant where they just gave me sides of all their house hot sauces by default when the burger arrived, without having to ask for it, which is pretty cool of them. Their hot sauces are extremely good, all three of them. As a hot sauce lover - I would've loved more of all of them. I was there during a less busy time, obviously, and sat at the bar, so that says less, but anyway, the service was great (was great the previous time like a year ago, too.) I sat down at 5:45 (happy hour is until 6), had a food and drink order in at 5:50, burger showed at 6. (Got a second drink order in right at 6 on the dot too, of course.) There's a second add-on special for a boilermaker if you get the burger, so obviously I did that - I love that it features South American products, an aguardiente and a South American beer (I also like that that it means it's not a boring American macro beer, of course.) I also had the lulo margarita, $10 on happy hour, and great. I love learning about new (to me) fruits you don't see often around here, too. Delicious, though fun fact, it was even more delicious after I added a bunch of the lightest, creamiest hot sauce to it, lol. A non-canon modification that, conveniently, didn't require the bartender's assistance, and which I definitely intend to repeat if I'm ever back there (this is also a note to myself). It is always a tough sell when I'm in the area, just because it's across town, Bamboo Club is around the corner, and I love Bamboo Club, but anyway, Selva is also solid too, especially during happy hour.

There is real intention behind the food here. I've worked my way through the entire menu, and what continues to impress me is not just the creativity, but the consistency. The flavors are bold and distinctive without feeling forced, and the dishes have the kind of personality that makes a restaurant memorable rather than simply good. Chef Carlos is an exceptional talent. His cooking feels confident, thoughtful, and completely its own. Selva has a clear point of view, something that is surprisingly difficult to find even in cities with strong food scenes. The hospitality deserves equal credit. Jack and Chris are a dynamic duo and have an instinct for making the room feel warm, personal, and effortless. Great restaurants are about more than what arrives on the plate, and they understand that completely. After eating at an enormous number of restaurants across Long Beach, Selva is still the place I find myself recommending first. For me, it is the best restaurant in the city.

A New Job, A New Milestone & A Chance to Rewrite the Narrative…read more My best friend and I have a tradition of celebrating new jobs with a nice dinner. Since this was her new job and a major milestone, I let her choose the restaurant. She had visited Bo-Beau last year but didn't get the full experience, so this was her chance to rewrite the narrative. And it was truly night and day. I researched the restaurant beforehand and was excited to see that Bo-Beau is part of the Cohn Restaurant Group, which I mostly associate with San Diego and South Orange County. After this experience, I really hope they're here to stay. I noted on our reservation that we were celebrating her new job, and for once, the restaurant actually read the note and acknowledged it. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was excellent. The hostess welcomed us downstairs, another staff member greeted us when we reached the rooftop, and our server quickly followed up. Then came the surprise: complimentary champagne for both of us. It was such a thoughtful gesture, especially because those little celebratory touches seem to be increasingly rare. Our server was also patient with our questions and attentive throughout the evening without being intrusive. We spent about 2.5 hours enjoying dinner and catching up over: Baked Brie Brussels Sprouts Steak Frites Everything was flavorful, and the entire experience felt relaxed, peaceful, and worth the price point. The food was great, but the hospitality is what earned the 5 stars for me. Real hospitality is paying attention to the guest, recognizing the occasion, and making people feel genuinely welcomed. My best friend got the celebration she wanted -- and a much better Bo-Beau experience this time around. Will definitely be returning!

The staff was incredible from start to finish including in the ordering process as they graciously offered to sample their diverse Italian wine list and even the slushy. How it works is that you wait outside, order at the register, then get seated. Friendly note, though, is that they do (free?) wine sampling at the register, and since I took the bar route, I wasn't able to partake (but if I asked, maybe they would've let me sample too). The customer service was great; staff was friendly at the entrance, the waiter kept checking in on us, and food took a tiny bit long but I expected that because they were busy. I was only able to order Mezzi Rigatoni Pomodoro with pork sausage because I wasn't too hungry to be able to order more. The pasta was cooked al dente and one word to describe the sauce was beautiful. It had a great tomato flavor and tasted super fresh. If it matters to you, I did peak at the couple next to me who ordered a caesar salad and it was HUGE! Overall, this experience makes me eager to go again!
