Do not go to an authorized Verizon retail store! Instead go to a Verizon corporate company. I had placed an ordered for my new phone for pick up at this location. When I arrived the employee claimed they were having system issues so they could not upgrade my phone although she had the actual phone with her. When I called the actual Verizon line the representative told me what happened was probably the San Ramon employee made an error and advised that I should not go to an authorized retail store since they just want customers to buy phones directly with them. The employee did not even give me alternative resolutions and was not helpful at all. Long story short I advise you if you are going to upgrade your phone and order online do not go through this San Ramon location. An update to this review I called Verizon to cancel this order their corporate headquarters called me and said this store marked my order as delivered and completed although I never received the phone. Please also note this store never contacted me nor did they email or text me to tell me my order was ready. I also received an email that my order was cancelled. It seems very suspicious to me. Avoid This Store -- Especially the Opening Sales Agent I came in for a simple phone upgrade and left with one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. The opening sales agent charged me both a service fee and an activation fee, then told me to call Verizon and have them remove the charges -- but not to mention his name because he would "get in trouble." Of course, when I called Verizon, they said there was nothing they could do. A few days later, I went back to the same store to return the phone. I arrived right at opening and was second in line. The same agent told me I would need to call customer service to start the return, even though customer service had specifically told me to go back to the store. He also claimed the customer in front of me would take over two hours to process, and that the next available employee wouldn't arrive until 12:30 PM. Thankfully, I didn't leave. Another agent actually came in around 11 AM, and she was fantastic. She helped me right away and processed the return smoothly. She did have to charge a $50 restocking fee, but I called Verizon and they refunded it without issue. To make things worse, the opening agent originally told me my monthly bill would go down after the upgrade -- but it actually went up by $12. I highly recommend avoiding this store, and especially avoiding the agent who opens in the morning. Dishonest, unhelpful, and misleading. The one helpful agent isn't enough to make up for the terrible experience. read more

Isiah was a gracious and patient young man who was very helpful navigating through all the issues I had transferring and deleting data on the trade in. I was having issues with my IPhone and figured maybe it was time to look into getting another phone. I stopped into the Victra/Verizon approved dealership and noticed they had a sign up showing it was the last day for a special they were running. If I turned in my phone (which was going on 6 years old) I could get a new phone for free and only pay the tax on the phone and a small service charge for the transfer and service-up of the new phone. The store was busy with a couple people ahead of me and it was also towards the end of the day. I was fortunate to get Rohan as the technician/salesperson to assist me. He answered the questions I had and at first didn't think he had a new phone, but he went in the store room and found one. He then got all my information and started transferring everything from my old phone to the new phone. He told me I could have 5 days to double-check everything and make sure everything transferred over. I came back the next day and completed everything since the transfer was all done. Rohan told me if I had any further questions or concerns to stop by and he would do his best to take care of any questions I may have. I would definitely recommend Victra to anyone looking for a good experience buying a new phone! read more

This is a follow up to my initial review on Sunday July 20. I had to go back to the store because my wife's text messaging app, Textra had apparently wiped out the texts she sent, though not the texts she received on her new Pixel 9. I AI'd possible solutions and every one I tried failed to display her sent texts. So back to the Victra San Ramon store. Fortunately Rohan was there and once again, saved the day. Though the text messaging app, Textra was not a Google Messages app he saw that when I had changed the bubble for sent messages to white, I failed to make sure that the text color was not also white, which caused no text to show up, white on white. Duh. Once he changed the color of the text to black, bingo, all of her sent texts came back. She was so frustrated she wanted me to switch back to her old 7 if her Textra app could not be fixed. So, once again I must laud Rohan who figured out how to solve a problem with an app he no doubt had no familiarity with as it is a 3rd party app I discovered a long time ago to replace the stock Android text messaging app that came with my old Motorola phone back in the Stone Age. read more

I wish I didn't have to give any stars because of the greed-driven managers. My partner's mother had an online phone order ready for pickup at this location. The managers gave away her new phone to another customer to get the commission for the store even though that phone was reserved for her and not the customer who had walked in earlier that day. We had a confirmation email from the corporate office that said the phone was delivered to this location and was ready for pickup, but the store managers insisted that the phone was shipped to the his mother's address. We called again after speaking with corporate who said the phone was indeed there, but the managers of that store decided to lie to us again and tell us that the order was cancelled. We have spent days trying to resolve this issue and the phone order has still yet to be cancelled or replaced. read more

My phone had been having difficulty charging and connecting to my car. The My Verizon app told me it had (re)connected 88x that morning, so I came in (without an appointment) and Randy greeted me and helped me right away. Turns out, it was time for an upgrade. Randy helped me pick the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with 256 memory, since I was happy with my old phone, but had maxed out on data. Also had an $800 trade-in value! None were in stock, so had to come back to pick up. Since I had so much to transfer over, I connected to the WiFi with my laptop and pretended I was at the local coffee shop. Randy helped a few customers while I waited. Super knowledgeable and welcoming. He addressed technical issues, even had customers call his phone directly. He also helped someone upgrade their iPad. I saw an ad for Eargo (hearing aids) in the store and asked him about it when he checked on me and he was happy to pass on my info, so a rep could follow up. Overall, great experience. Ask for Randy. If I could give this store 0 stars I would. not only are they pushy about trying to get you to change your plan, but they will actually change it without your authorization. My mom went in just to activate her eSIM card and walked out with a completely different plan--without being informed or giving consent to change anything. To make matters worse, they charged her $39 for the activation of the eSIM, even though when I went in for the exact same thing a few weeks ago and I wasn't charged at all. We're on the same plan and account, so there was absolutely no reason for the difference and charge. We spent hours on the phone with Verizon customer service trying to fix everything and get our original plan back just so we could access the perks in our plan--like Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, and Apple Music. Thankfully, customer service was apologetic, and they confirmed my mom should never have been charged that fee or have had our plan changed without consent. Still, that's no excuse for the employees at this location who clearly cared more about making a profit than being honest and respectful. Avoid this place if you value your time and money. I called the phone number listed for the San Ramon store, it went to a central calling station and not the store. They told me that because I was a long time customer (over 14 years), that I would be eligible for an $800 credit towards a new phone. I went into the store after making an appointment with the man on the phone, only to find that they would not promise me anything more than a $600 credit and my bill would've gone up to almost double what I'm paying currently because they are trying to force me into an unlimited data plan. I am a senior citizen and don't need unlimited data and certainly don't want my bill to increase by twofold. Shame on you Verizon. You just lost a long time customer! My experience here yesterday was exceptional! David was absolutely wonderful. I came in an absolute mess with my mom after having the WORST 4th of July ever. I lost my phone to the river and needed a new one ASAP. I came in dreading it and thinking it was all going to be a nightmare. I was in tears upon arrival but David was patient, kind and understanding. He was so sweet and knowledgeable. He dealt with me and my mom so incredibly well. My mom asked him 1000 questions and I was just so upset from the day before but he was calm and kind. He told me everything I needed to know and assisted me extremely thoroughly. He helped me through all my concerns and got my phone completely up to date and told me all the new features that I wasn't accustomed to on my last iPhone. He not only helped make this process as painless as possible but his kindness and amazing customer service turned my entire day around. He could see I was sad and genuinely wished better things for me going forward. Not just A+++ customer service but a genuinely amazing person all around and that is hard to come by these days. I have been to this store at least 3 different times and each time, Noah helped me out. First was to ask questions about changing a plan and changing phones. He was extremely helpful, and did not pressure us at all. The second time we went in, we did change a plan and phone for my brother-in-law, who is not tech savvy at all. Noah took the time to explain things, and answered all of his questions. This last time, my husband and I went in to change phones. The AC wasn't working, and it was really warm in the store. Noah, once again was his friendly, helpful self, in spite of him being subjected to an uncomfortable temperature all day. I am not sure why the store got low review scores... I know that there is sometimes a wait, but it can't be helped if Noah is the only rep in the store. He does his best to help everyone, and to apologize for the wait. I would suggest trying to schedule an appointment if you don't want a long wait. We didn't have any appointments, and understood we would need to wait our turn... not a problem for us. read more

I was sent here to process a return from another Victra and told that I can't return the item because corporate doesn't allow returns over $100 at other stores. Only this item was only $79.00. She is amazing and the best customer service I have ever experienced no joke! I came in with a phone it fell into the swimming pool and for a very small cost I got an upgraded phone and an iPad! And I'm still paying less than I was paying before when I was making payments on my old phone. Terrible experience with Verizon-Victra retailer. I wanted to set up a business account in Oct 2020 because I was promised a great deal including BOGO iPhones and a cheaper monthly rate through my business. Turns out they didn't process my application correctly and I was charged an extra $300 the past two monthly bills. When I go back into the store, reps tell me they don't have the power to correct the error and make failed attempts to call Verizon financial department. I could have done that much on my own, so seems pointless to come into the store for help. Needless to say, countless hours have been wasted trying to fix a problem through this third party Verizon store. Issue is still not resolved 3 months later! Be weary of Victra as they seem to not be well connected with corporate Verizon and it makes for a lot of miscommunication and customer frustration. read more

Company would not replace them at that time and said wait for a few months. Nothing. Now right at one year later we still fighting Victra to solve this problem. Nothing from them. This was perhaps the worst experience of customer service and product knowledge I have ever experienced. The person who helped us did not know about their products and basically lied to us because he didn't know. He says the only way we'll get a specific promo is if we both get new phones - I don't want a new phone. Tells me the phone that he is trying to sell me is better than the one I already have, I tell him no it is not, and he kept pushing, but I said no I do not want a lesser phone. Find out, my partner is still able to get the promo even if I don't get it. He says our order will be there in a couple days - it was not. This is only the beginning. I cannot fully blame him - the management in this store is also a piece of work. I can not at all recommend this Victra Verizon store even slightly.
