We were AT&T customers for ~10 years. Moving to the Manteca/Lathrop, we experienced poor reception quality. Called the nearest Verizon store to inquire if we needed an appointment to discuss options and spoke with Phylicia on the phone. She was very professional and super bubbly. We drove in as quickly as possible since she had indicated that a BOGO sale was ending. We walked in observing COVID precautions and were able to meet Phylicia in person. Traded in 2 XS Max phones for 12 Pro Max phones and unlimited service lines. Phylicia was so great to work with. She didn't miss a beat going through all of our options with us so that we were set up with the perfect plan to suit our needs. I do not want to short change any of the other representatives there but we will only deal with Phylicia as we forge this new relationship with Verizon. She was OUTSTANDING. I thought they were the best cell phone company until I tried negotiating my bill with them. Not only did I have to call multiple times but they repeatedly went uncooperative. They claimed the overcharges were just mistakes, yet it would always result in their favor. My last "chat" ended up going nowhere since I couldn't get Sam, the representative, to tell me exactly what my bill would be after a credit. I finally ended the chat and resolved to find a phone elsewhere like Walmart for example. My advice to you is don't bother trying to negotiate with them -- just leave them to their crooked ways. read more

My daughter broke her phone about a week ago, and figured since I was in the area, I'd check out this shop. Upon arriving I was greeted by Kolin, he helped me out on replacing not just one of my daughters phones, but both. Then i decided to upgrade my husband's and my phone a couple days later. And Kolin helped me again, this time we added my son to our plan as well. He was a great help on both occasions, and I am grateful for everything he did for my family. Do not go to the store to upgrade your phone or for any type of service. The lady that help me talked me into not going and picking up a phone at another store probably so that she could make the commission and then when my phone was delivered she never called me I had to check the tracking info and had to call them in order to go get it. Long time AT&T customer but was just fed up with paying a bill for service that didn't work at my house. Came into this store and was greeted with a warm and genuine hello, and was welcomed in. I started talking to who greeted me and found out that it was only their 1st day and they didn't want to give the wrong information (I can appreciate that) and signed me in. I waited about 10 minutes and was introduced to Floyd. He was very patient with me and gave me all the information that I needed without pressuring me. Overall a very pleasant experience. He mentioned that this store was a part of the Manteca Chamber of commerce and for me, I thought that was nice. The sales rep, Sierra, told me I could get a $159 rebate towards a new iPhone 8 with a trade in of my old iPhone 5. After sitting down, filling out and signing the agreement, which included the $159 rebate, after a half hour, she reached over and took the already agreed upon and signed disclosure form and starts writing a new one. I asked what she was doing and she said she made a mistake about the $159 rebate and that I now had to pay full price for the phone. I told her I think that is called bait and switch and that's illegal. After arguing for 15 minutes she said if I didn't want the phone, I could return it for a $70 restocking fee. I said "are you kidding me, I haven't even touched the phone at this point." I asked to speak to the manager, and of course he was on vacation. After being there for almost 3 hours they sent me home with the new phone and told me the manager would call me Friday and they would make this right. Of course, he never calls me. I called on both Friday and Saturday and could only get ahold of the assistant manager, Mike, who told me the manager said to bring the phone back because they will not honor the rebate and I have to pay the full price. I was having issues with my cell phone not working so I went into the store for help. Phylicia greeted me immediately and diagnosed the problem. I didn't anticipate needing to get a new phone so I was devastated when she told me it could not be fixed. The cost of getting a new phone was something I didn't want to do. But she assured me that she could help me trade in my phone and leave with a new phone with little cost. Phylicia assisted me with transferring all of my phones current information to my new phone. Helped me with finding new accessories like a better case and screen protector. And all very quick and efficient. I highly recommend going into this retailer store. Had an issue with a phone went into the store to see if they could help us with it because we didn't know if it was human error or there was a problem with the phone. The person that helped us told us that the phone will need to be repaired and that we did not have insurance to cover the repair but we are eligible for an upgrade. Upgrade seems to be a standard term that is used in the industry to let you know that you're able to buy a new phone basically. Decide to go ahead and replace the phone because the previous one was not insured, After making the purchase I asked about paying for the phone now and they said that I was not able to do that but I would have to wait for my billing cycle to go through and I get do that after receiving the bill. Received the bill and noticed that I had insurance so I thought the person that helped us had added insurance to our plan without my knowledge I called Verizon to inquire about this and was told that we've had insurance on the phones. Went back to the store, And this is basically what they said, we're sorry she made a mistake it's difficult for them to read the bill as well and. She did not notice you had insurance. They said we could return the phone if we had the box for credit and would not charge you a restocking fee(are you kidding, to even suggest there could be one), I asked about the accessories that we bought, she asked if we bought them there, indicated we did not, bought accessories through Amazon. First suggestion was to return them to Amazon, and my reply was that's unethical there's nothing wrong with the products, this is your mistake not theirs, well we're sorry we can't help you with that. I would not do business with this location, they apparently are okay with lying to make a sale. read more

Worked with Bruce. Went into buy new phone. Was told IPad was part of promotion all that was required was taxes Nd fees in store. After a few billing cycles, bill quoted was nothing near what was agreed on in store. And the iPad wasn't part of the or a promotion. After he convinced us that we were only financing new phone we actually financed the iPad too. Was a total SCAM, if I could rate 0 stars I would.... now I'm stuck with an IPad that originally wasn't needed and am paying more than I ever wanted or expected!!!! read more

If I could give this store zero stars I would. First of all, we've been here for more than 4 hours just to get a new phone! And what makes it worse is that while we were sitting there, the rep said that she's had a customer waiting here for 11 hrs before! The rep's name is Cindy and she was not very nice. We felt as though she didn't even want to help us. We were given the runaround when we first got here and sitting here in front of someone that's giving you attitude, isn't helpful while you wait. My review is meant to be my opinion of Verizon corporate. About a month ago my wife and I went to this particular location to gather info about Verizon wireless. We have been AT&T customers for years. And the employee at this location who helped us explain that Verizon was doing a promotion called back to school. It's a promotion the new customers would receive a $600 gift card to use in the store for purchasing accessories or simply applying it to your first months bill. This promotion was the deciding factor for my wife and I to switch to Verizon. A few weeks went by and we had noticed that we have not received the gift cards as we were told we would. My wife went down to the location and talk to the employee who signed us up explaining that we have not received the gift cards yet. He filed an inquiry with Verizon corporate with this situation. We received word from Verizon corporate that this promotion was no longer in existence and they were not going to honor it with us as new customers. My wife filed an appeal to their decision and again we were met with that they were not going to honor their promotion. To my wife and I this shows exactly what kind of business Verizon wireless corporate truly is. They set forth employees to make false promises to lure you in. They get you to sign a two-year commitment locking you in to their business. And then strip you of the promotions that you were promised by coming to Verizon. Not to mention that there cell Service is awful. AT&T provides a much better coverage service. AT&T follows through with their promotions to their customers. I strongly discourage anyone in becoming involved with Verizon wireless. Their business practices are incredibly disrespectful towards their customers. read more

Went in today after hearing about the BOGO offer on the iPhone XR. Phylicia helped us and was very knowledgeable and kind. She hooked us up with 4 new iPhones and a few hum devices for our vehicles. She was more than happy to answer all of our questions and made sure we understood exactly what we were getting ourselves into. She transferred all of our information onto our new phones. The manager of the store was also very helpful in assisting. They were very accommodating of our kids and even let them play games on their tablets while they waited. Staff is misinformed. I called up this store about three days ago to see if this store was still capable of renewing my discount (because my employer has an agreement with Verizon wireless.) The person I spoke to explained the options of what documents to bring with me and assured me they could easily do the renewal. I drove from my hometown to this store and a sales rep there said that they used to do that, but no longer allowed to process discount renewals. Which is it? Can they or can't they? They wasted my time and gas. read more

After waiting about an hour I was finally helped by the Assistant Manager at that location. Her name was Gianna. She was very helpful in getting us the things we came for and she personally gets 10 stars from me. However she and one other employee seemed to be the only people there working in the middle of the afternoon. The phone rang several times and she had to stop to answer the phone, other customers came in and were waiting for a very long time started coming to her to ask questions. She was excellent at trying to joggling everyone but there was really no need for that because clearly there was a few employees in the break room laughing and talking really loud. When I asked her if the manager was in the store she informed me that he was. How unprofessional is that? I glad I got everything I needed because I have no plans on returning to that store. If the manager is allowing that type of behavior new management is needed. I personally have been in Customer Service management for years and this is absolutely the worst work environment I have ever seen. Verizon is a great company absolute get the service but these people here are doing a horrible job representing the company. Went in to do simple Verizon upgrade. Daniel told me he was not able to look at my account but would activate 2 new iPhoneXs and have the rep contact me in the morning. Charged me to do data transfer then after the process had started and I had been in store for over 2 hrs. Said I had to leave without a phone and to come pick up the phone in the morning. Went back to store to pick up new phone in the am only to discover the phones were not preordered correctly. Spent 1 hour on phone with 611. Had to go back in to store to do a complete return. Magically Daniel can look at my account! Spent 2 hours in store and had to leave with old phone while Verizon system updates. I still have to go back to have new phone activated. My guess is it will probably be another 2-3 hour process. Lots of hidden fees such as 30.00 line upgrade fee and 20.00 data transfers. (I was originally told a perk of buying phone in store) Terrible Customer care! Still have been offered zero compensation for a mess employees created. read more
