They overcharge you big time and the customer service is horrible. I never get my credits promised to me, don't waste your time!

Verizon does NOT value it's long term customers. So, I guess I should be saying "Thank You, Verizon, for not valuing me as a Valued, Long-Time, Loyal Customer. I went across the street to TMobile and got treated as a Valued Customer should be treated." Loyal customer for over 20 years, never got anything for free from Verizon. My iphone gave out and I went in to see what kind of LOVE Verizon has for it's LOYAL LONG-TERM CUSTOMERS. First Customer Service Rep had me walking out with just having to pay the sales tax on a new iPhone 15. Got stuck on transferring data and had to get the boss. I explained to the "boss" Simon, that I was a long time customer and my phone broke. I wanted a free phone (just like a new customer would get) for my over 20 years of Customer Loyalty. He told me he was "The Boss", he said how things went around there and that shouldn't be a problem, he just needed to look at something. He looked at a few things, then he stopped looking and tried to sell my their internet, then he tried to get me to apply for the Credit Card - which I did because it was going to make paying my bill easier (To be honest, I felt like the quicker I said yes to him, the quicker we could get back to processing my transaction). Once he got all of that taken care of, he went to review my prospective purchase and told me that "No, the plans we have cost "X". I said "No, your employee told me all I was going to pay was the sales tax." He said "No, our plans... blah blah blah." He called the other employee over, who apologized and said he made a mistake. That I would have to pay for the phone after all. So much for "Customer Loyalty". The "deals" are just for new customers, to get them in the door. Us long time, loyal customers aren't worthy of a good deal now and then. Especially after being with Verizon for over 20 years. I took my phone back, went across the street to TMobile. I got a brand new iPhone 15, the phone case, wall adapter for charging AND an Apple Watch (ALL FOR FREE), along with free Netflix and Apple TV. I also didn't get charged a fee to import my phone data onto the new phone. When I walked out of there, my phone and my apple watch were both completely ready to use. read more

My elderly grandmother went in to this location to buy a new iPhone. She was with her caregiver and the sales rep told her that her old iPhone charger would not work with the new phone. He also said she would need a special plug in for the charger included with the new phone so she would have no way of charging said phone without purchasing additional items. She was not happy with this so he said he would give her a free charger he had in the back. When she got it home, this "free charger" appeared to have been opened, and after trying it, it didn't work so her caregiver took the item back to the store. Come to find out she was actually CHARGED for said item. Luckily they refunded the amount and the item was returned back to them, but if that isn't some shady business, I don't know what is. read more

HORRIBLE TERRIBLE UNCARING people work here. GO work at McDonalds and learn some customer service. Double charged me for a mobile internet jetpack device, could not activate it, charged me twice before even attempting to activate, assured me I was charged once, unable to offer refund same day, manager Mohammad offered cash refund over the phone employees refused to provide the refund in person had no knowledge of it, after confirming refuno stated they had no money available, after 20 phone calls and 3 in store visits assured me a check is coming that will take 4 WEEKS. I understand that the associate were with other customers at the time, but not even acknowledging or asking what I'm here for while clearly waiting, only for a pickup. I called this store on Saturday, April 6th at 5:26pm. The young man answered and I asked him what time the store closed. He said 7pm. He asked if there was something he cld help me with? I said my husband is having problems with his phone. He said he wasn't going to be there, but that his co-worker cld help him. My husband gets to the store at approx 5:35pm. He calls me and says did you tell the people at Verizon tht I needed a new phone? I said no. He said tht both the woman and young man were there and did not want to help him his phone problems. They only wanted to sell him a phone. My husband tried troubleshoot with them saying, do you think if I did a factory reset the it might help and the girl replied no, you need a new phone and wanted to sell him a $1000 phone. What??? We paid $800 for each our phones and we have the same phone. Mine works perfectly. The girl stated that some people's phones stop working after a year. What, really? My husband talked me into switching wireless carriers after my constant complaining about AT&T service in our area. We went to the Lathrop store and met Domarina. She was super clear with promotions being offered, broke out all of our costs and savings and also compared our current service with Verizon. AT&T is not only more expensive but the service is horrible in comparison. I've had the service through Verizon for a few days not and it's a world of a difference. Once I switched phones, I had issues transferring my photos through iCloud. Domarina stayed after hours to figure it out for me. She went above and beyond in so many ways. I bought a 360 Glass screen cover at this retailer and two months later the screen was cracking all over. I was mad after spending $65 for a screen protector and only lasting 2 months. After a little persuading they did replace it for free. So I am pleased with the customer service. read more

I hade a very difficult time "porting" from AT&T to Verizon during the Coronavirus pandemic. Purchased phone and service online and transferring at home was a nightmare. All Verizon stores had abbreviated hours but I called this store and answered with a quickness. Went in to the store and had a gentleman help us, also with a quickness. Made all the necessary calls to transfer with old and new phones, (4) total. Lots of multitasking. Mohammed is the man, saved us the whole weekend of BS doing it ourselves. Leave it to the professionals. He even educated us on some options for our old phones which was nice. This was not your average problem- billing, accounts, transfers, everything it seems. I've had some issues with this store in the past however I came in to have them check on my account to see if I was able to save money. I worked with Domarina and she was incredible she truly cares about her customers. I also had the ability to work with the store manager Tracey and Sean since they didn't have customers. It was a very well oiled machine and the three worked extremely well together. I was able to lower my bill and get a new smart car solution and a tablet!!!! Not very happy with the "new management." The transaction started out ok, we came in knowing what we wanted: Google Pixel 2 XL. They had one left in stock, so we bought it. They started the process of setting it up and transferring all the info to the new phone, which took forever. The associate told us that we'd receive a $15 discount on the OtterBox we purchased at the same time, and when we checked out she said 10% off accessories- we received only 10% ($6) off the OtterBox, but not off the screen protector. We left the store and as soon as we got home we noticed there was a blue dot flickering on the screen. I called right away and they told me to bring it down so they could look at it. When I arrived they told me they would replace it but they didn't have any left in their store and they'd have to get one from their Stockton store. They said come back in 45 min and they'd be able to switch the phone out no problem. I came back after about an hour and they said they hadn't been able to get the replacement phone yet and they'd call me closer to when the store closes at 8pm. So I was forced to leave and wait again. I came back yet again after they called to let me know they got it. When we got there I asked the associate about the discount she offered and she said no that's not what she said, she said that we'd only get the $15 off if we purchase 3 accessories, and that the 10% only applies to the cases not the screen protector. She made sure to mention that she didn't even have to give us the 10% off and went out of her way to check our account to see if we had that discount listed. I also asked if our phone would come with a car charger since the last phone I got there came with a free one, she said they don't give anything for free and that was something the old management would tell people to scam them or something. I said ok whatever we'll buy one from Amazon then. I told the associate I wasn't very happy with having to come back and forth so many times and I felt like the issue with the phone screen should have been caught during the time she was setting it up. She said no she didn't see it and got defensive that I was trying to say she was purposefully selling us a damaged phone. I again said whatever that's fine let's just get the new phone set up and get out of there. After another hour we finally left with the new phone. When we got home it was after 8 pm and my phone started ringing, I answered and it was the associate calling. She called to make sure I knew that I actually didn't get the phone charger free when I got my last phone. I said ok so you're calling after hours specifically to make sure I know I'm wrong? She tried to say it was so I knew she wasn't ripping us off, but also wanted to defend herself that she wasn't selling us a damaged phone on purpose. I am baffled and astounded that a customer service rep would call me after the fact to basically tell me off, that I'm wrong and to make sure I knew she took her lunch break to go get my replacement phone. I am also concerned that she was going through my account after we left when she really had no legitimate reason to be doing so. Next time we will be buying our phones from Verizon directly online. Also all the accessories we got there we could have bought on Amazon for way less. Next time we will save our time and money and not shop here. read more
