The City Cell staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Pricing for products and services is competitive and in many cases better than other stores. Eddie, my "go to guy" is efficient and effective in identifying the problems and provides quotes and oftentimes secures the customer approval prior to work commecing. The store offers many different types and brands of phones, both new and older models, stocks a broad range of phone peripherals and offers many plans. For the musical enthusiasts, I enjoy that City Cel carries many brands of speakers and karaoke machines that are discounted for my business. I highly recommend City Cel as your first choice in anything related to phones and other miscellaneous items. read more

Hello! I came to Citi Cell trying to unlock a cheap Wal*Mart phone. The staff explained to my why I could not do that with a new phone as they are very knowledgeable and directed me to a large selection they had in the store. For a great price I left with a better than, unlocked phone for my needs. On top of that they had all the accessories I didn't know I wanted/needed at reasonable prices. My sons screen went dark and would not respond right before xmas. Apple had no appointments available anytime soon. Verizon told me, since I had no insurance, I would have to buy a new phone. I called City Cell to ask if they might be able to look at it. They said to bring the phone in. They replaced the screen and the phone worked again. Very happy to not buy a new phone and get it fixed in just over an hour. read more

They are simply the best, they are the most thorough and quickest cellphone administrators in this County.

Erika's very helpful and she's very nice! I give her 5 stars for her amazing customer service!

I used to love this store. it was convenient always friendly and helpful. I had been going there for years for everything. Upgrades, changes. Or simply not understanding something about my phone. Yesterday this all changed. There was someone in front of me, i waited then others kept coming in. I guess since I was not there to hand them money, then I would have to wait as others came and left. They helped everyone else fist. I mean they did get to me but blamed other people as to why they could not correct the issue in a timely matter. Over and over people came in after me and I was pushed a side. They simply did not want to help me when they always did before, At one point I asked them: "what should I do, go home" They said I could and return tomorrow. By this time, I had been insulted, made to feel I was stupid. They were disrespectful and basically said it was my problem. I got the phone from them and all the other ones in prior years and had excellent service. As I was leaving I told them the above "That they had insulted me and were disrespectful. I will never go back there. When there is a issue with my phone or my service, then I will change my service and get a new phone from a place that services there long time customers, read more

I dropped my iPhone and the screen was a shattered mess. After looking online and calling various places a gal at best buy recommended City Cel. I went in a little while after they opened and 1 hour and 15 minutes later my phone was as good as new. The staff acknowledges you right when you walk in. They are knowledgable about the repairs and I didn't feel weird about leaving my phone there. The best part was the price I paid for having my phone repaired! My oh my, I saved money by coming here! I purchased a Yelp deal as well. I hope my iPhone never gets dropped again, but if it does, I know exactly where Im taking it!!! read more

I took my iphone in to get the broken screen fixed yesterday and everything went really well. Exactlly what you asked for. I took my Galaxy S4 in because the LCD cracked under the glass. I was quoted the same price as "Mail in" centers ask for and was politely told it would be about 1 1/2 hours wait. I returned 2 hours later and this phone works perfectly . Very professional and personal. Exactly what you asked for! read more

Super nice owner and employee. I was immediately greeted and the service I requested done promptly and to perfection. My iPhone X looked brand new after having the entire screen replaced in less than an hour. Their pricing was the most attractive part compared to other businesses that do the same thing. I will only come to this location for any of my cellular/wireless needs. And if you are looking for accessories, there is no doubt you can find it at City Cel Wireless. They had the largest selection I have ever seen in any retail store. read more

Excellent customer service. Fixed iPhone screen fast. Very Satisfied customer will definitely be back for any future phone repairs.

City Cel Communications replaced the badly cracked screen of my iPhone 4s. They even asked if I got the Yelp coupon! The screen was finished in under an hour. Great job, great people! I would recommend them without hesitation. read more

I was very disappointed in this place. My family and I walked into this business and there were about four customers and four employees inside. We waited about 15 minutes without anyone even acknowledging our presence. A simple hello we will be with in a few moments would have sufficed. This seems to be a trend with Modesto small businesses no one has a concept of customer service. We were two dollar signs that walked right back out the door. We wont be back. As far as selection there were a ton of used phones but not too many new unlocked phones as far as we could see, after all no one helped us. We were interested in a new unlocked phone to use without a contract. read more

Eddie is a wonderful person to work with. He did more than I expected. Very happy with his service. Thanks Carl Gagliardi

Went to city cellular. To have an old iphone checked unlocked and serviced. Recieved excellent service and price. Good store ran by a good family man. I don't live in Modesto. But i do recommend and will come back if i should need service again Sandy P lodi read more

Eddie the owner knowingly bought stolen merchandise . He refused to return it to the proper owner with sufficient proper evidence . He tempted to extort me for $75 and was yelling at me and threatening me. I told him he can return it or I'll call the police. He said to do what I want. When I went to pick up phone after work he wasn't around. He left a young female associate to deal with me. She handed over the phone without a problem. But she lied too. . She said she didn't know anything about the situation but when I questioned her she knew what was going on . Do NOT go to city cel !!!!!!!!!!!! Almost forgot. While leaving they tried to charge a young man $ 20 to return HIS phone to him. What a thief they are!!!!!! read more

My microphone went out on my phone i called every store in Modesto everyone said they could fix it but didn't have the part I'd have to wait like 2 weeks. City cel had the part and fixed it within an hour. There was a chance while fixing the microphone the screen could have broke but, they took their time and fixed it perfectly. I was really happy to have my phone back the same day. Samsung would have fixed it but 10 day to wait. Thank u to the people at city cel u really made this easy for me. read more

The price was reasonable and they had the screens in the shop so they could fix my phone in few hours, rather than waiting for days. Good quality service. Definitely would recommend to anyone in Modesto. read more

I never come back here. They told me waiting for 10 days for unlocked iphone of sprint with 75$. But now im waiting 5 weeks. It not unlocked yet. They just said wait and wait. If they can not unlocked it. They have to say no at the first time. Waste my time read more

I brought in my Apple Watch here because i cracked the screen they said they would do it for 100 dollars so I went for it. A week they placed the screen he broken the LCD and told me that it was another 100 to flex what he broke seeing no tiger option I agreed and a other week passed they had the watch done but force touch or applying pressure to the screen to make it do a certain action was gone so I called a he said that the watch never had that to begin with which was stupid because I had that watch for over a year and that was always there and I used it all the time he agreed to try a different screen and they did to get the same results so they told me that they would send it to Apple to see what they can do well that was all in February of 2017 and in April of the same year I get my watch back broken with no screen on it and they told me that the people they sent it didn't want to fix it but reading a not they placed inside the box where the watch was it said they offered to fix it but citycell decided not to fix it and send it back hoe it was I got my 200 dollars back but I lost a 800 dollar watch because not that it's open apple can't fix it so don't bother here the staff it nice but this place amazes me how it's open and I'm so sad I lost my watch and it's may and the bands haven't came in form them just bad service overall read more

The shop is fast and efficient. They have enough business to offer OEM parts for iPhone and I assume any brand. Made the mistake of taking my iPhone 7 to another repair facility and the broken glass was replaced with an extremely cheap knock-off. The colors were off and it didn't work well. City Cell said the knock-off cost about $12.50 and I was charged $89. They replaced the bad part with OEM. Turn around time for a phone is an hour or two. Excellent. read more

Absolutely horrible. I paid 120$ for a new screen for my iPhone and in less than 30 days the screen was lifting off my phone. I keep my phone in a great Lifeproof case so I know I did not damage the phone screen. I took the my phone back to the mchenry location and they would not honor the warranty. I kept my receipt and you can see my phone is in great condition and yet I walked away from the store today with the loss off my 120$ and my phone even worse than when I initially brought it in. Do NOT bring your phone to your location unless you want to ruin your phone and lose your money read more
