Upgrading my phone was a nightmare when it should have been an easy transaction. I was received a quote that was the same as what I had been paying for the last 2 years and just received my bill which was $15 higher than said quote. Horrible! Avoid this store go to a real Verizon Wireless location. This is simply a 3rd party, middle man, wannabe, poseur center with no ethics. I dealt with Shawn who scams and lies to make sales. He will tell you anything to get that sale. He will even offer you free phone cases under the table just to get the sale, very shady. He will not advise you of proper activation costs, discounts and other important factors. I escalated my issue to the regional area director and they do not respond either, they appear to approve of this stores ethics. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! THEY LIE ON LOTS OF PLAN DETAILS JUST TO HOOK YOU IN THE PLAN! I am so shock to see a bill "$534.46". I asked them to take off the insurance on all of my devices, they didn't do. The talked me into getting one of the hotspot device for $10/month so I can get 20% discount on my data plan, didn't let me know that there is an activation fee for $40, and the charge insurance on this device too!!! Worst of all, I didn't even get the 20% off on my data plan!! Didn't have a great experience with this location. We are long-time Verizon customers before we switched to T-Mobile. After about a year with them, we decided to switch back to Verizon so we came to this location. We picked the $45 plan and since we're returning customers, Arjun told us that we didn't have to pay for an activation fee. All we needed to pay for upfront was $10 for the sim card. We were told that on our upcoming statement, all we needed to pay was the $45 - plus taxes and other smaller fees on top of that, but not an activation fee. Fast forward to this month, we finally received our bill and were charged a $40 fee! With our bill now amounting to $115.28! We'd called Verizon to sort this out, but since this location is a retailer, I had to sort this out with them. I called in the morning, but was told to wait for Arjun to come to work at noon so I could talk to him. I wanted to get a lot of work done, but because I was being passed around by these guys, that essentially wasted my entire morning. Finally, I managed to talk to Arjun in the evening only to be told that he was only following procedures and has no control over the fees. I don't have any problem paying for extra fees if I need to, but I have a problem with these guys making false promises. After that, he said "Sorry about that." That's great, because sorry's going to fix it, right? In the end, I called the main Verizon hotline back and eventually got credited $20. I only received half of it because I was told that there was no documentation of whether or not I was really told that they'd waive the activation fee for me. Right - because a normal person would walk into Verizon and record/document what the sales people tell them. Bottomline is, DO NOT EVER go to this location. The sales people will do whatever they can so you sign up with them to the point of lying. Another reviewer, Eric M, is right about them avoiding responsibility. read more

Amazing service! I came to get a new phone after my old one started giving me issues and they helped me through the entire process. They transfered all my stuff from my old one which is usually a reason I hesitate to upgrade but they took care of everything and got an amazing deal. Ali, the store manager was great! He was personable as well as the other staff in the store. He accomplished what several other verizon stores couldn't. It seems like they kind of gave up. He did not. I told him what I was wanting and needing for my service plan and he didn't give up until he worked it out. He didn't try to sell me anything extra but told me what I needed to have in order to get the plan I wanted. He went above and beyond... even calling verizon customer service when there was a glitch. We went and signed up with Verizon in November. Jerald what the person that "helped us" He lies about all the promotions that they had. Never gave us a receipt, had to go back and get one. He never gave us the paperwork for the promotion to submit and lied to my face about it. Have been dealing with this since November and his manager won't do anything about it. Never go to this store. You will get ripped off He told us we were getting bogo free but nope still paying for one of the phones 2/17/19 @ 1:10pm. Jerald called me because I wrote a bad review about him. The lurky loiterers smoking in the common area outside the storefront detracts from customer experience; unemployed and/or homeless and self-proclaimed "suffering" individuals occupy the commercial vicinity. They've cussed and harassed Verizon employees and consumers ... what's worse is security patrol (for the private property) is of no help to ether party. See the bottom for the TLDR version of this reveiw (Its a lot however I had PLENTY on my mind) After a roundabout with originally purchasing the Google pixel 3 when it first came out, I was stoked to purchase the phone and a nice unlimited data plan to go with it! Everything was grand until of course like the dummy I am. Dropped my phone and shattered the screen, no biggie it happens. I go to Verizon in which they directed me to the insurance as apart of my plan, heres where things get crazy. Nothing wrong on Verizon's part however key part of the story. The insurance company (different company fyi) was a nightmare to deal with. they fixed my phone after giving me 24 hours to come pick it up (which i came by the next day) I was informed that they will be hanging onto my phone for 72 hours. Which wouldn't be an issue as i'm not to "glued to my phone" however I was attending college at the time and needed access to a specific app on my phone to enter campus grounds so I could not attend classes for essentially 3 days (fun :/ ) After getting my phone back I was excited as it was all shiny and looked great! Until I realized the internal components when they where rewired. where rewired incorrectly, Biometrics did not work, could not make calls, wifi and bluetooth did not function and don't even get me started on the crackling noise from the speaker anytime it made a noise! So after feeling pretty defeated and having the luck of a slug I called once more the insurance to ask what to do. The lady on the phone was kind until realizing that factory resseting does not fix the issue (which i'm still confused about to this day as in my entire experience i never pulled a "Karen" move :/ ). After dogging us on this we where sent a replacement device and had to send the broken one in. A bit annoying as I was once again unable to attend class while awaiting the phone. It arrived quickly which was nice! However noticed that my brand new google pixel 3 that I paid a solid $1k for. was now a refurbished phone with a nice little sticker saying so. a few scratches on the back however I figured they where cosmetic and no issue there only to find out that after about a month's grace period of just a few glitches here and there. The bluetooth completely refused to work popping errors up every 3 minutes with that the wifi would also not work and neither would the hotspot. Since not wanting to deal with the insurance and pay an extra $150 or so to send ANOTHER defected phone back and miss class, I decided to just deal with it. There where some ways around the error messaging with restarting but overall it drove me mad for a loooooong time until roughly two days ago when i realized I was just about paid off of this phone. Yesterday I went to the Verizon here and Hernan went more than beyond to assist me on this! He listened to my issue and did his best to find work arounds in getting me a new phone without having to pay a life's fortune in it with being on and off phone calls with several higher ups, even so much so as after realizing I was a freelancer and self employed, offer to switch me to a business account to not only save on a few extra bucks (Which is always appreciative) but also work better for my needs as my phone is basically a business asset at this point! After several issues with the technical side of setting and switching my account, he was more than patient while waiting on the line to get the technical issues figured out and even answered the million and one questions I had! To sum this up. This verizon location in Irvine I haven't had any bad service with and Hernan went beyond the extra mile to assist me with my plentiful issues (i'm sorry it took such a long time to get everything situated!!) . I got out of the store with a new phone all nice and setup, a new account to better suit my needs. And the follow up email was definitely appreciated. There has been some obvious changes in management since orange I was went into the store. We have some serious genius bar reps on our hands. The edge program and pricing was very easily illustrated when I walked into the store and some friendly sale agents helped me with my phone selection. Now I have my new Galaxy s5 and the manager Sean has helped me set up all of my corporate emails along with setting me up with a free tablet! Sean had a line but set aside the time to make sure I had everything I wanted on my new phone and tablet. I didn't have to wait in a line or be hazed at the door by a greeter looking to see if I wanted to buy a phone or not. I just came in to ask for directions and I walked out with an amazing deal. When will negative stars be an option? This place told me I needed a new iPhone when I went in with what turned out to be a very common issue with the iPhone 7. I bought the iPhone 8 with a case and screen protector and was told to erase my 7 and send it back to Verizon to complete the process. At home, I had trouble with reformatting the phone so I went to Apple for help. Even though the phone was out of warranty, Apple gave me a loaner phone while they sent my phone back to be repaired/replaced at no charge. When I went to return the 8 at this store, the manager told me to wait, telling me that Apple may have not been truthful with me and may end up charging me for the replacement (pot calling the kettle black?) So when Apple DIDN'T charge me, and gave me a brand new iPhone 7 for free, I went back again to return the phone at this store. I spent over $200 here, and upon returning the phone, got $68 back. This was due to a $70 restocking fee (Verizon says it is $35). When I confronted this issue, both clerks told me that it is, in fact, Apple who charges $70 for restocking (also no true, according to Apple). The other money I did not get back was for the $70 screen guard that the manager had opened and placed on the iPhone 8 without asking or being given permission to do so. They told me that since it was opened, I could not return it and the manager was unwilling to refund the money. Also, I was never even given a receipt. In my opinion, this store seemed to use unethical practices in getting me to purchase a new iPhone to bump their commissions, and tried everything possible to prevent me from returning the phone, presumably, so as to not affect those numbers. I went there three times to return it. The first time, was stated above. The second time I went in, they said that the manager wasn't in and only he could do returns. The third time I went in, (time was running out in the device return window) although the manager wasn't there, I returned the phone fora whopping $68. It took an hour to process the return. This place is a joke. It is not a Verizon store, it is an authorized retailer. I have never been treated like this in a corporate store who have gone out of their way many times to help me and have outstanding customer service. Horrible wait times here, and very bad customer service. Save your time, money, and aggravation and just go to the Verizon corporate store at the District 2 miles away. I continue to be haunted by this miserable experience, as I am still dealing with charges of a few hundred dollars on my Verizon bill from this incident. This was over TWO MONTHS AGO! Such a disappointing experience. Terrible customer service with sneaky, dishonest, and unethical business practices. By the way, Verizon gave me a $35 credit on my account to compensate for the $70 fee that this store imposed on me. As soon as my billing issue is resolved, I will filing a formal complaint with Verizon on the unethical practices of this store. read more

Pleasantly surprised with my visit to the Verizon store this morning. First - not crowded at all! Worth the short drive from South Coast Plaza to escape long lines and cramped stores. Second - Friendly staff! Shoutout to Nick and Milad, both of these guys were knowledge, patient, helpful, and knew when to give me and my husband some time to think on our own. Great guys!
