I'm honestly disappointed to have to leave this review, especially since this shop has a lot of great reviews -- which is why I chose them in the first place. The staff were friendly and apologetic throughout, but unfortunately the overall experience didn't meet expectations. I came in to get the back glass on my phone replaced. I was told it would take one hour, but it ended up taking over two. When I got the phone back, I noticed the replacement glass had a large open hole where the camera light should be, which would've allowed water or sand into the phone. (See attached images.) I called and they immediately offered to fix it, which I appreciated -- but it meant driving back again and spending another hour there. The new glass they used didn't have the hole, but still had glue residue around the edges, and they mentioned the phone would no longer be water resistant. For $78 and over 3 hours of my time across multiple trips, it just wasn't the quality I expected. They didn't offer any discount or compensation, which was disappointing. They were kind, and maybe I just had bad luck -- but based on this experience, I wouldn't return or recommend them. read more

Our repair did not go smoothly, but you can really tell a company by how they handle problems, and they did great in this case. We had a Galaxy S22 with a cracked screen, and we had Cellspot replace it with a new screen. The phone was returned to us with a screen protector film still covering it, and with whole bunch of rubber bands holding the screen in place. We were told not to remove the rubber bands until an hour or so later so the screen can set properly. At the designated time, we removed the rubber bands, removed the screen protector and immediately saw a huge scratch in the center of the screen. We immediately went back to the store to show the problem. So the screen must have been scratched from the vendor that sold the screen replacement. Cellspot couldnt have known since there was a screen protector on the screen, and we couldn't have known because of the same screen protector and all the rubber bands around it on return to us. Unfortunately the screen vendor that supplied them the screen did not believe that the screen was supplied scratched and told them that we must have scratched the screen ourselves. (We did not do this, since we saw the scratch as soon as we opened the screen protector and rubber bands. The phone was hand carried home (never in a bag with hard objects) and left on a desk until the designated time to remove the rubber bands). Ultimately it looks like the store had to replace the screen again, and their supplier refused to reimburse them for the defective part. But Cellspot only charged us the original fee taking the loss. It's unfortunate that their supplier gave them a bad screen and wouldn't replace it, but I give cellspot high marks for doing the right thing and giving us a properly fixed phone. I would suggest if you do a screen replacement to leave the phone with them longer and have them take the rubber bands / screen protector off before giving it to you so you can inspect the screen before leaving the store. Ultimately we are happy with the experience. Hopefully they can work the situation out with their supplier. read more

Started off 2021 great by misstepping into the jacuzzi and taking my phone for a dip too, haha. My phone screen was already cracked from a screen replacement from elsewhere (terrible job) and water probably seeped in through the existing cracks. It started glitching out like in the Matrix. I was actually able to make one last call to CellSpot to get their address to GPS it in my car before the screen went completely black. Their reviews don't lie! After walking in, I didn't realize I had actually been to CellSpot before, years ago, probably for another screen replacement. I remember their spectacular customer service and ease of repair which haven't changed. The lady quoted to return in about 3 hours (because they couldn't contact me due to leaving my phone with them lol). Upon return, my phone was like brand-new, no white spots or ghost touches yet, and they even charged my phone too! It was $170 for the iPhone XS Max screen replacement, which I think is very fair for the quality of the repair and product. I'm on my THIRD screen from this company. This is truly a case of "you get what you pay for". I brought in my iPhone X for a screen repair back in December 2019 and they replaced it with an aftermarket piece- it was a good alternative to a more expensive OEM replacement. All was fine for a few weeks until it started showing white spots...brought it back under their 6 month warranty and they replaced it with a new one, no questions asked. Another month goes by and my phone started having ghost-touch issues like crazy, to the point that it was pretty useless. Again, because it was still under warranty, they replaced it. Their warranty was really useful, but it only lasts 6 months. It has then expired for me and again I'm experiencing BOTH white spots AND ghost touches! Now I can't even claim a warranty repair for their mediocre product! If you want a sub-par job for a decent price, go here. If you want it done right and save yourself the headache down the road, shell out the extra cash and go to a more reputable shop. Side note: if you do get a phone screen replaced here they have a sign that says your phone WILL lose water resistance so be aware of that. What they also don't tell you is they don't calibrate your new screen and you'll LOSE your True Tone capability (iPhone only). 2 stars because at least the staff is pretty nice and the warranty is good to have. read more

I had my iPhone 12 screen repaired two wks ago and they replaced it with a non apple product. Since then my typing accuracy is off and the phone doesnt seem to recognize the new screen as a genuine apple part. My battery life also is significantly worse snd depletes way faster than pre screen repair. I am not sure why the new screen is sucking up all the battery life vs the old screen. I'm dissapointed in the performance of the new screen. read more

I came in about a week ago to get my shattered screen fixed. I was impressed on how fast they were. I was out within 30 minutes. But I was little disappointed that they used an after market iPhone 7 plus screen on my phone and still paid 125$ I would give this spot 5 stars for the repair but I wasn't to happy WITH THE SCRATCHES THEY LEFT ON SIDES OF MY PHONE. Not 1, not 2, BUT 3. My screen works perfectly but I would rather go through apple since I know they wouldn't have scratched the sides of my phone while taking off the original screen. IM NOT TOO HAPPY ABOUT THIS. And it's not like they can fix it. So I paid 125$ for a fixed screen but was it even worth it because now I have a phone full of scratches. read more
