I want to give a huge shoutout to Dylan at Sunglass Hut. Every time I go into the store, he's the only one working, and honestly it's impressive how well he handles everything on his own. Even while juggling multiple customers, keeping the store organized, and answering questions, he still manages to stay friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. You can tell he takes pride in doing a good job and making sure people leave happy with their purchase.What really stands out is that despite being the only employee there most of the time, Dylan never seems annoyed or overwhelmed. He takes the time to help you try things on, gives honest opinions, and makes the whole experience easy and enjoyable. That kind of customer service is rare these days. That said, management seriously needs to get this guy some help. It's not fair to have one person running the entire store so often. Dylan clearly cares about the job and does everything he can to keep things running smoothly, but he shouldn't have to do it all by himself. If I could rate zero stars I would . I spent close to 200 dollars on Oakley Sunglasses. I expected the best . The rubber piece i the glasses came unglued after two months. It got stuck on my hair and i had to cut it out. I went back to the store and i expected an exchange m. Instead they wanted me to buy another pair a 50 percent off. I do nit recommend this store. I've never felt so embarrassed and humiliated in my life. My family and I walked in your Irvine spectrum location on October 20th between 2:10 & 2:15. As we walked in there were 2 associates standing right in the entrance with zero acknowledgment from them. We walked straight to the Gucci sunglasses section. I had 2 pairs in mind to decide since I already had an idea on what I was looking for since I saw them in your website. While being in your location for about 3 minutes and still no acknowledgment whatsoever from either staff we decided to leave. As we were leaving another family walked in and were approached with a warm welcome from your white staff. As I was leaving I had a brief conversation with the associates. I told them they lost a $500 sale since neither one acknowledged us but did in fact acknowledge and approached an Asian family in less than 5 seconds. I told them that it was wrong for them to do that. The white associate said he didn't see us which was a total lie. When we walked in the store there were no other customers in the location. Your associates did not approach us because we are an Hispanic family. My wife and I are hard working Americans and can afford to purchase anything in your location. We were racially profiled for no reason. As we were leaving the white associate gave me a bad & disgust look. Your company should be ashamed of hiring people like this. Ordered RayBan sunglasses with an option to have it delivered since the product was not available at the store. Was asked to enter the home address where to be shipped, paid and left. Waited more than a week and did not receive the item. When checked on the tracking, showed that it was delivered to "Irvine". Called the store and spoke to the manager Shane who was getting irritated and being rude over the phone due to the complaint. The request was to be shipped at home, but the employee placed it as "for pick up". Instead of being understanding to the frustrated customer, the manager was being rude and was not happy to solve the issue when he claimed himself that the employee who helped me was new. If I knew the fit and the type of glasses I would want to give as a gift... I would have ordered online. I'd rather go to a company who's very willing to help than deal with an employee who just wants to get paid and be done on their shifts. read more

" Suga Shane" as said on his name tag who is the MANAGER who really made sure we knew he was in charge, was a smart ass the entire time we were in there. We were picking up a pair of glasses we ordered to the store and we were planning on picking a 2nd pair but changed our minds when he kept being Rude. Sunglass Hut is a large chain Sunglass retailer, this location is in the Irvine Spectrum Center. I came here and bought my fiancé Burberry sunglasses as I know she loves the brand. I think the sunglasses were cute and she loved it. It cost about $250. I think the price was fair as well. The customer service was really good, the salesman was extremely helpful and friendly. He took the time to explain all the current promotions and such. They have a decent size inventory, however, I wish it was just a tad bit bigger. I waked into this sun glass hut looking for a certain style of ray bans. I pretty much only wear this one style and i had lost mine this morning. I was in the area and thought I would try my luck on a whim. I looked around and found them! But they were $40 above what they are online. I have bought them online a couple times and had expected there to be a slight markup of course but not 35% over! I left and got in a last ditch effort I pulled up my last order, from Ray Ban's amazon store, and asked if they price match. She asked me "from where?" I said amazon, knowing they wouldn't, and she said "no because we don't know if they're real or not. Good luck!" And then turned around dismissively. I don't care about the not matching. I assumed they wouldn't, but you can't blame a guy for trying. I do care about the assumption that I'm trying to buy real glasses at fraudulent glasses prices, without any context. To Start off by not accepting a return because you personally felt they were used by scratches you saw understandable and that's your policy as a store whatever, but to chase us out of the store presuming we stole a pair only to stick your hand in our bag and check. Apologize and say "oops I must have misplaced them.." if it was because we were speaking Spanish we apologize for being Mexican but please invest in store security don't have your manager run out and not even ask to check our bag. Been to many other Sunglass hut locations and have had VERY friendly experiences. This one is COMPLETELY the opposite. I went in on a Sunday and Jessica was working (it seems a lot of others have reviewed her for this particular Sunday as well). I brought back a pair to exchange for a different one because it didn't fit correctly. No scratches, everything in perfect condition. Jessica immediately gave me attitude because I had waited a couple months before returning the glasses. The first thing she said to me was "You can't just keep returning these you know" even though this was the FIRST time I was exchanging them for a new pair. I found my pair of sunglasses and went up to the register to exchange them. There were a lot of people in line and Jessica was working in a rush. I quickly ran my credit card for the extra money for the new pair only to find out immediately after that Jessica had OVERCHARGED me. I was being friendly and she made an attempt, I'll give her that. She was very apologetic... at first. It was a pretty busy day but she made a mistake and I expected her to give me back the 20$ extra that she charged me. After about 5 minutes of her trying to figure out the machine she says "Are you really going to make me do this for 20 bucks?" I responded "Yes, I want to be charged properly for the sunglasses I purchased." She tells me to wait in line because she has to help other customers. So now I have to wait 20 minutes in line for her to help everyone. Fine. I wait in line until I get to the front. She still can't figure out how to refund my money. She spends another 10 minutes, another line forms, I can tell she is stressed so I tell her I'll come back in a bit (I needed to go to T-Mobile anyway). I finally come back 40 minutes later and it's empty. She tries again to fix the overcharge and can't figure it out. She probably says "Are you really doing all this for 20 bucks?" 2-3 times during it and I can tell she can't figure it out. Finally, she has me go over the math behind it (which, I must say was impressively hard for her) and we come to the same conclusion. Afterwards she then again says, "do you really need the 20 bucks that bad?". By then I have wasted over an hour with her. She is making me feel uncomfortable AND look bad infront of my girlfriend. I finally say forget it, tell her how incredibly unprofessional she was being, and leave. If anyone from sunglass hut reads this review please let me know if I could get my money back. Not that I REALLY need the 20 bucks... but when stuff like this happens I like to follow through with it out of principle. NEVER visiting this Sunglass Hut location. I just called ahead to make sure they had the style of sunglasses I wanted - Maui Jim 187 in Matte Black / Grey (List Price of $329.99). Jessica picked up the phone, to which I inquired if I could check if they had a pair in stock. The response? "I have ten people in line, call back later. *click*" I understand how hectic retail can get, having worked food service and retail positions while I was in undergrad, but that's no excuse for this kind of customer service. I would have accepted being placed on hold until another associate could assist me or even providing my number so I could be called back at a later time. This treatment, however, has lost them a customer. This is unfortunate, because I appreciate the easy returns, guarantees, and other benefits that come with a Sunglass Hut purchase.
