Zero stars for customer service and having no advantage to buying over the Internet where you don't have to deal with terrible salesmen. Apparently they lie to you over the phone to gain foot traffic, which helps them justify their brick and mortar presence. My wife's phone was dying and she wanted an iPhone. Called ahead to see if they had the iPhone 5 in stock. They told me no, but they would have them in stock November 2nd if we pre-ordered it. The Verizon website was indicating that they would have stock on November 9th, so to get the phone a week earlier, we packed up the baby and made a trip out there. Upon entry, we were greeted in a friendly manner by John, a salesman (manager? He was wearing a black button up shirt), we indicated that we wanted to upgrade my wife's phone to the iPhone. He indicated that they would need to preorder it and that it would be available November 11th. I informed him that someone on the phone (I'm a dope for not getting her name) told us November 2nd, which was the only reason we drove to Glendora instead of ordering it over the Internet on the Verizon Wireless webpage. Not only did he not apologize, he was barely cordial for the rest of the conversation. We decided to just order the phone and get it shipped to the house. This process went by quickly and would be worth giving the store 1 stars, except for when I questioned the total amount to verify we were getting the same price as the website. His reply seemed to imply that he couldn't believe I was accusing him of ripping us off and made me feel like an idiot. I'd rather deal with an overseas outsourced call center than deal with this guy again. Customer service fail. read more

Never have I ever felt this way about any other wireless provider. They get you going about how good the deal is that they're about to give you until they walk out to hand you your bag when you're about to exit and tell you that everything they told you was not guaranteed. ZERO stars. I have been here multiple times and they are never able to help me. The time before this last experience, my sister and I were told to wait for the next available rep... easily done, no complaints... over 30 mins later in a store that wasn't busy that day, we were finally called. We were then told that in order to get helped we would have to wait AT LEAST 20 more minutes. We walked out, I called customer service and had my problem taken care of within 5 mins. No idea why the greeter didn't tell me that option when we first walked in. This last time the greeter asked a couple of questions and said we would be called soon. 20 mins later we get someone to help us. I was returning something I purchased the day before from a different store that I never received a receipt for. He told me they couldn't do the return there, and that I would have to go back to the store I originally purchased it at. Fine, seems like they just didn't want to do it, but we walked out anyways since we had just wasted 30-40 mins waiting for him to "check and see if he could". After driving to another verizon store, we explained the situation and what had happened at the other store to the manager and he confirmed that they COULD have looked up the ticket since we had the order number, they just didn't want to. shady. I went in because my phone has been acting up lately. It's dying a lot faster than normal, apps are lagging, yesterday it wouldn't make phone calls. They basically told me it was because of the messenger app I used (funny story it's the Verizon messenger app for androids). I was pretty adamant that that made very little sense since my husband has the same phone, same app and none of the problems. The guy treated me like I was an idiot. Unbelievably rude. Long story short I let him fix the messenger app and walked out. Suddenly the problems were twice as bad. Thanks for nothing Verizon. I'll be filing a customer service complaint tomorrow. read more

3 1/2 stars- This is one of those "main" stores where you can go get phones, bills adjusted, repairs done, etc. etc. The staff here is very nice and never just lying around. The guy who set up my new droid even hooked me up with some cool programs for music. BUT the reason I'm only giving this store 3 1/2 stars is because of the wait and because the store is almost busy! One time I went in right after work with an appointment for 5:30. 5:30 came and went and we finally asked what was going on we had an appointment and should have priority, they said we were next like 3 separate times, around 6:30 we finally got called after a lot of nagging and me almost falling asleep. so just a word of warning, if you go here be willing to wait a while. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Not only did they screw up importing a number to my account by adding a 4th line the "manager" told me there was nothing they could do and that importing a number from the same carrier is impossible. Then he started giving us major attitude and told to go back to target mobile and maybe they could help us. JERK! What kind of customer service sends away people. So we went to target mobile and the lady was so nice doing everything she could to help us and calling verizon for us. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! They opened a sub account for another customer because they failed to close out my account. Then when that customer didn't pay my credit got dinged keeping me from a credit acceptance. When i went in to talk to them about what happened the MANAGER treated me very rudely and bacisally blew me off. Just stay away. If you are looking for the newest phone, go to Costco or Sam's Club. I am writing a review today because I had the best amazing experience at verizon. There was a rep named John he was super kind, patient, and all around a amazing man. I had received a promotion during summer and but when I came in to use it they couldn't find it so I left. I then called a rep on the customer service number she told me she would honor it but that they had a even better promotion and that I would need to go back to the store so I did. Not only did John make sure to assist me again his manager was so kind she never questioned him helping me i took up allot of his time but he never complained he helped me step by step to get the phones I needed yes I said phones lol i bought 2. Everytime I come into this store I find myself waiting for an infuriating amount of time as I see several employees NOT working but rather talking and joking with each other. The worst part is I come in with a simple question and none of the standing around employees will take the two minutes to answer it. I waited a whole hour before being helped only to have my question answered in under a minute and the answer was a "no, you aren't eligible for that". I am typing this in store now and one employee has passed by me three times just wandering around and was just playing on his phone and yes I can guarantee he wasn't doing anything work related. The absolute only reason I come to this location is because it's two minutes away from my house. Definitely going to give the new location in Glendora a try next time. At the very least you'd think they would have somewhere comfortable to sit and weight but their isn't a decent chair or couch in the place at all and for someone with back problems that only makes the long wait worse. read more

I will never buy anything from this store. I've spent a few thousand dollars here over the last two years and they refused to help me. I brought my Samsung Watch in because it doesn't work (after a couple of months) and asked them to test it on one of their chargers since I wasn't sure if mine worked. They said they couldn't and told me to go to Best Buy to have them test it. I told them why would I go to Best Buy when I bought it here along with my new Samsung Phone. He said they didn't have any spare chargers, but Best Buy would. I went over to Best Buy and they pulled a new one out of a box to help me. In a few seconds I found out that it was the charger which was under warranty. This is the type of customer service I would have expected from Verizon. read more

walked in at 8:25pm. was told that it would at least a 35-45 minute wait, if I wanted go ahead and walk the stores outside and he would hold my spot. Came back at 8:58pm as the manager (over weight Hispanic guy) locked the door in front of me, looked me in the eye and turned around. I stood there waiting thinking he may come back to the door to say they were closed and then I could tell him I was on the waiting list. He only continued to look back towards me, gesture to someone else to tell me they were closed. No one came and they left me standing in front of a locked door, even though 3 of the workers looked over many times. Horrible customer service. WEST COVINA STORE is better and if it wasn't for the fact that I needed them to replace my Life Proof cover STAT I would have just waited instead of dealing with this store. It is 10 minutes from my house, but never go to this store, service has always been horrible both times I have been there. I had to rate it so I did as 1 STAR but it isn't even that. Walked into this store with the intention of upgrading my phone. A hand full of the Verizon reps were helping others, while the rest (about 4, all male) hovered around the center island. Not one said hello, or offered assistance. I looked at every phone, which took about 15 minutes. By this time I thought one of them would come by to see what I wanted, or explain the functions of the phone. Nothing... I walked out and went to the Verizon store closer to my house, was given a warm greeting and offered to help, etc. Needless to say, I walked out with the new HTC (M8) and all the accessories. I had the worst retail experience of my life at this location. I went to this store on Wednesday with my mother who was trying to activate an iPhone 7 that she had previously purchased with Verizon. The salesman then sells us a prepaid plan and charges my moms debit card only to let us know that the phone cannot be activated because the Verizon system has the phone black listed as lost or stolen. We were there for over an hour as he was trying to resolve the issue with the customer care, but he was ultimately unsuccessful and told us that there was nothing he could do other than bring in another phone or purchase one of their prepaid phones. I left the store at that point being that I had to take my baby daughter to a scheduled doctors appointment. I go back to the store with my mother on Friday, this time trying to purchase a prepaid phone and activate it with the pre purchased plan we bought on Wednesday, and the sales associate tells us they can't activate it because the phone line was blacklisted when we tried to activate the iPhone. At this point we got really annoyed and asked to talk to the manager who had not been very helpful in our previous store visit. As I walked towards him (Daniel Mariscal), he was visibility irate and told me that there was nothing he could do for us due to the phone being blacklisted. I explained to him that we wanted to activate another phone and he became very argumentative and kept trying to show us on his tablet the restriction on the phone line. I then asked him for a refund and he said that wouldn't be possible due to it being a prepaid plan. During this whole process he was incredible rude, hostile, and was getting way too close to me. I brought this to his attention and he laughed it off. I asked Daniel if I could talk to the store manager and he replied, " I am a manager." I told him that I wanted to talk to HIS manager, and he told me he wasn't in. He eventually goes to the back and brings out the store manager, Cesar Rodriguez, who immediately begins to help us and begins rectifying the situation. He was able to give us our refund and was very apologetic about our experience. We then left the store and went directly to ATT. They were able to activate her iPhone 7 without any problems. read more

It looks like not many people end up as lucky as I am at this store.. Or maybe people only think to write a Yelp review when they experience some traumatic event. There is a review bias on the internet, right? Anyway, I had a great experience I'd like to share. I really regret not getting our sales person's name as she was absolutely amazing and deserves all the praise she can handle. I came in with my mom, sister, sister's boyfriend, and sister's baby expecting to spend the next several hours camping out waiting for our turn at the counter and hoping the baby would stay asleep the whole time. Well, we came in, were checked in, and spent 15 minutes browsing smart phones until we were approached. "Us? No.. you must be mistaken, it's still Saturday.. you can't be ready to help us yet." They were! We won some kind of a Verizon store lottery. Anyway, we had several issues: I was trying to add myself to either my mom's or sister's plan (whichever benefited my wallet the most, naturally), my mom was trying to figure out why she can't cancel a dormant line on her plan, and my sister was trying to find out why her bill was so ridiculous (answer: Instagram). So after the sales person juggled our stories and dealt with all of our varied demands, we walked out with a combined plan for all 3 of us, my mom and myself saving $30/month, and my sister saving $20/month (if she can keep her data down). They even managed to sneak in a second sales person to check my mom's cable plan to see if there were any additional savings for her, but admitted my mom must have complained to someone important on the phone because she was getting some combination of deals that shouldn't be allowed, so we were warned to keep the cable out of contract for maximum savings. We were a real pain, but the woman who helped us stayed in a good mood and fixed all of our issues and we walked out with more savings! Oh, and no one woke the baby. read more

I met Daniel (manager) when I needed to adjust my bill. He was very helpful and fixed my account which took a lot longer than either of us expected. He had difficulty and had to call but pursued and was able to reduce my bill. I would highly recommend Daniel and this Verizon corporate store. read more

Went to the Verizon Wireless store because my Android phone was slowly crashing and I was losing my ability to even make a phone call. What a terrific team of employees was there to help. Cameron explained that there was a bug that had hit my phone and that it was an easy fix! He stepped me through how to fix the phone and I successfully completed steps 1 and 2, but was unable to launch step 3. He asked me if he could have my phone, and when I agreed, he put on gloves and completed the step, and I had a working phone again. I really appreciated the lengths they went to to follow COVID protocols and to keep everyone safe and at a distance. The whole staff worked beautifully as a team to keep things moving. Eli, the security guard, was helpful and friendly, and the employee outside monitoring the line (Marisol, I believe) did a great job getting everyone served just as soon as possible. A great experience dealing with such a stressful situation. read more

I told my husband that rarely do people ever go out of their way for customers anymore or people in general. Well, Michael here is completely different, he goes over and beyond like I have never seen before. He helped him with handling rebate program by personally handling it as he promised when my husband bought the phone. He gave my husband his cell number and now he checks to make sure he is working before we come in there. Friday we went in to put my phone on my husbands plan and change the number and ended up being helped by someone else because Michael was again going over and beyond by helping a lady connect her new phone to her blue tooth in her car. Made an appointment online to see what they could do about my husband's touch screen on his phone (it's a non smartphone). Basically, they just took a look at the phone, saw a couple of scratches on the edges (no case because they don't really make cases for these phones) and said that they couldn't do anything about it except if we have a warranty to use it and pay the deductible. Wow...really?! Sooo unhelpful. Won't be renewing his line next year. They used to have good customer service but not anymore. read more

Let me start by saying I've had VZwireless for years and have had only minor problems. This review is more about a bundled internet/directv service I got on 2.2.2012 and cancelled on 2.23.2012. I moved and had to get internet and wanted DirecTV. I am going try attempted to make this long story short. -1.31.2012 I tried to start service online; their website failed to complete transaction 12 times due the DirecTV link. -13th time I got a confirmation number but it didn't register on the 'whatsnext' site. I called a local store (Glendora) and was told to wait overnight and it might show up. It didn't. -2Went into this store to try to fix it, I think it was Oscar who helped me (I was greeted by a staff member and directed over the the inter part of the store, no one told me about the computer sing in), Oscar remembered me calling in for help a couple days prior and I didn't have to retell him my story. -Oscar got my service going and was very helpful. Internet service activated the date it was suppose to. DirecTV didn't have my address listed, there was a hickcup with the computer when the DTV account number was to come up and Oscar told me I should get a call within 48 hours if not to call DTV. -The DirecTV part of the service failed somehow, some glitch I guess, it got cancelled on the 2/13/2012 and reactivated on 2/22/2012 with VZ but DirecTV never had me listed as a customer any of the 3 times I called, DTV never came out to install the dish. VZ phone/online people who saw the account but where unable to tell me why my account was acting the way it was. -After hours of bonding with VZ online chat customer service and phone customer service I made a choice to cancel my internet and (on and off again) DirecTV through VZ within the 30 window allowed without any extra charges. The short of it is that Oscar was really nice and helpful but the service itself failed to work right and it was the DirecTV part of the bundle that failed the Verizon part of the service worked fine. That's my 2 cents. P.S. I may end up going with VZ internet again because I feel it was a glitch that made my account act up but it was hard to deal with not knowing why and not getting answers from the online support and phone center support people with VZ. read more

After the rep that we had been going to for YEARS had left we went in for the first time seeing the first available rep. What a difference that made! We were helped by DANIEL AMBRIZ who was very friendly. Upgraded our device and then told us we had missed the fathers day promotion by a few days. He then said he worked out a deal for us and gave us a jetpack for free which is basically a wireless router that works off your unlimited wifi from your cell. We were under the impression that it was completely free. We then got our bill and we're charged an activation fee as well as a NEW MONTHLY CHARGE! We would have NEVER agreed to this if we knew that. It is something we DO NOT need and definitely something we wouldn't have agreed to pay an additional $18 a month for!!! We went in and said we were not aware of any of this but of course since it had been more than 14 days it is non refundable. Now we are stuck with it for 2 years!!!!! This is the first time in 15 years I have had a problem with Verizon. We can thank DANIEL AMBRIZ from the GLENDORA store for this! read more

I've reviewed 33 businesses on yelp and not a single bad review but today Verizon earned 1 star (less if it was possible). My daughter needed a new phone and I thought I'd call ahead to see if they had the phone in stock and what the price would be... not asking for rebates or fees based on our account... they refused to tell me what the retail price for a simple iphone was. So we drove to the store (this would have been the 6th or 7th phone we've purchased from this location). Candidly, it takes about 30 minutes to buy a phone here and my young daughter really needed to use the restroom. The manager told me the location does not have a restroom... All retail businesses have restrooms. I understand having a policy stating customers can not use restrooms but to lie was a bit much. I was told to have my daughter use one of the neighboring businesses restroom while I begin the phone purchase. In short the manager was unfriendly, dishonest and treated us poorly. We went to BestBuy 3 minutes away... they were kind and eager to help, had restrooms and offered us cold bottled waters while we did the paperwork. 15 minutes! read more
