This is my go-to Verizon since moving to the city. Tonight the manager Leah helped me out with my broken Bose speaker. She was able to lookup when it was purchase and gave me a new one without any questions or problem. She also helped me put a screen protector on my phone, even though I purchased it through Groupon. She was very personable and great to work with. Even though there is usually a 15-20 minute, it is worth it for the friendly and knowledgable staff. read more

I have been a Verizon customer for 10 years now and this was without a doubt the best service I have ever had at a store. Given the fact that I was super hungover during my visit and my desire to be there was about -100% and I still thought it was amazing service speaks volumes to this location. Ben was a rockstar for us today. He was able to help with the upgrade of my phone, add a new line and phone plan for my partner, and got us the best possible deal. He was friendly and connected with us immediately. There was no pressure to make this a fast or easy transaction and we were able to take time to decide and pick out the perfect phones and accessories. Don't bother trying to get any support questions answered. The reps, especially Ignacio, are extremely rude, and defer all questions to "care" support (calling in.) Very disappointing. This was one of the most unpleasant experiences I've had in a long while. My mom was visting from Chicago and had been thinking about upgrading her current phone to an iPhone, but she wasn't sure which one she should get. We decided to check out the Verizon store around the corner to help her make a decision. The salesperson, Bill, was not only incredibly rude and short, but he talked down to us as if we had no idea what we were talking about. Frustrated with his tone and the fact that my mom had an upgrade on her account, we asked what the additional $30 upgrade fee was for - he shot back a snarky remark. Since none of us had upgraded a phone recently, we were unaware of Verizon's new policy to charge an upgrade fee on any device. It continued to get worse as he cut us off many times are kept trying to up-sell my mom on products and add-ons she didn't need. I used to be in the retail and I absolutely understand up-selling, but there is a certain tact in this process and when the entire sale is on the line that is the time to stop trying to up-sell and just sell. Clearly Bill does not understand the fine line between making a sale and breaking a sale. If I were the store manager, I would not only write Bill up for his unpleasant attitude, but I would fire him. This person should not work in retail. Today I went in to buy a new phone because I dropped my phone yesterday and it completely broke.I had the great pleasure to be assisted by Ben. He was awesome. Great customer service and very helpful. From the start he was trying to figure out the best and cheapest solution for me to get a new phone. Then when I asked about transferring my numbers, he told me unfortunately since we couldn't get into my old phone he couldn't transfer the numbers, but he tried two other options. He said once my phone is activated sometimes it grabs my contacts from the cloud and adds everything, when that didn't work he downloaded the Verizon cloud to see if I could get my contacts from there. Unfortunately neither of those work, but I greatly appreciated how Ben went above and beyond to try to help me get my contacts back. Ben made my experience great, and if I ever have to go back into Verizon for some reason, I will definitely be asking for Ben. He was also very funny, and nice. He made the awful $230 bucks had to pay sting a little less. Thanks Ben! read more

I ended up leaving my families plan and setting up my own account for the first time and had so many basic questions and she always had a smile and answered everything very clearly and very politely. I have been going to this store for years and have loved it in the past, they were so helpful! I am assuming they have hired some new not so helpful sales reps. I was told that for only 10$ a month I could update my data package and get a tablet. Of course, I said yes. While the sales rep was very friendly, when I received my bill it was $110 more than what I normally pay. I was not told that the data package was $20 more, the phone was $30 more, the tablet was $10 more. There was also a $54 fee to initiate the tablet. So that is actually $60 more per month plus the one time fee for the tablet. Not cool. I am a previous sales rep in a B2B sales position and was always taught to be honest with our clients as their return in business is more worth a one time sale. Not sure how this store is operating their business model but they may want to make some changes. read more

I went to this store and describe what I was looking for. The whole team has been nothing short of amazing. I didn't think it was possible for a mobile provider to excel in customer service. I don't usually submit reviews, but I just had an excellent experience getting my old iPhone working again, with the help of this location's technical expert, help rendered over my land line so I didn't even have to travel to the store. When I called I got connected right away, the technician quickly took me through a routine, got the phone started again, got me to backup to iCloud, added a free .5 gigabyte of data usage while also reducing my data usage setting to a lower and less expensive, more appropriate amount. And he took time to work all the way through this business and a friendly business-like manner. Admittedly I was so dismayed that the iPhone suddenly stopped working that any help would have rated high with me, but this experience was superb top to bottom. read more

We have been customers of Verizon for years, but lately it has been BEYOND REDICULOUS. I have thought about it a great deal and feel I have a moral responsibility to warn others so they will not be treated in a similar manner. I would NOT write this if it wasn't true. We have 2 devices with internet access, one is a phone. We are both adults. When the phone was COMPLETELY DEAD as the battery will Not hold a charge more that 8 or 9 hours I got a text msg from Verizon an my 3rd device that does Not have internet capabilities that I had gone over by 2 GB. ONE HOUR later I got another text from Vz saying that I had now gone over 4GB, while the internet phone was still completely dead. Then 2 more GB in another hour meaning I am over 6GB in 2 HOURS!!! I called to ask the next day--was told a 2 hour movie would use 1GB---SO I ASKED How, (without a time travel machine I'm thinking) could a human possibly watch 4 HOURS OF MOVIES IN A ONE HOUR PERIOD? ? ? ? I Didn't get an answer From Verizon. How ALSO Could, using 6GB in 2 Hours, any Human, watch 12 hours of movies in 2 HOURS? ? ? ?...Even if Both devices were working. I was told that browsing, reading the news "Burns up a lot of data, and that must be what did it. It only gets worse. The next month in 4 days, I've supposedly used 6GB, with both of us working over 50 hours, sleeping 8 hrs per night=56 hours per week, when would that leave much time for internet. WE DON'T nor have we EVER had a Netflix acct, nor used skipe, and have no desire to. They billed me for 30 GB. THAT is Impossible. I asked if they could check my Verizon devices because BOTH the phone and computer that uses a USB have ALL UPDATES Turned OFF, by a person with a degree in computer programming!! The rep told me it is still my computer!!! Next point that should make you RUN to another internet provider: We are to have 2 free GB allowed before we were billed for the 30GB!! So I nicely asked can Verizon take off my 2 free GB, leaving me to pay $450 for the 28......I was told that "the 2 never show up on your bill that way. You get 2 free first, then Verizon starts showing them". How ridiculous.......I asked how does any person know that got their free GB, if it's not shown in the usage???? ? ? That's like going to the gas station and getting 2 free gallons of gas, but the counter never showing it. When I was in the Verizon store I heard 2 more situations like mine. Unbelievable ..... I am honestly saddened to write this, but If you might be considering Verizon, don't do it. It won't be worth the aggravation so many experience. We have been Verizon customers for over 15 years and have always had great customer service (over the phone) and the network is one of the best. My wife and I both upgrade our phones regularly and one of our last visits was the worst. The employee was pushing us to buy extra products (of course) and told us about the Ellipsis Jet Pack. Since we travel a lot we thought it might be useful. I asked how much it would be as we didn't need to incur any additional costs especially since most places have WiFi and we have hotspots on our phones. He said that it would actually make our bill go down if we had it. I asked him more than once if that was true because it seemed a bit odd. He assured us that it would go down. Now we are in a 2 year contract and our bill of course went up! If we want out of the contract for this device, it will be a $250 cancellation fee. Absolutely ridiculous. We've called a few times to discuss it and no one ever offers any assistance except to say that we could let someone else use it if we know of anyone. We have used it maybe twice in a year and have no use for it. The fact that we were lied to in the store just so they could up sell us to make more money is just bad business and makes me want to leave Verizon all together. I will start shopping around and look to change carriers. It's too bad the stores don't have the same great service that they do when you call. read more
