This place truly saved me when I was in a bind. Friendly, knowledgable, and they were able to get me in and out in about twenty min. Highly recommend! read more

VIP level of service! I, like others, made the mistake of dropping my iPhone without a case protector. The back glass shattered into several pieces, so it had to be replaced. Apple quoted over $350 and required me to go to a local store, schedule an appointment, and wait for the repair. I could not interface with anyone at Apple, but had to click through multiple links. Meanwhile, I called New Era, and they messaged me back immediately, saying they would look into my request. They offered me a time that worked for MY schedule (within their working hours) and quoted $100 less than Apple. In addition, they offer pickup and drop-off! The owner messaged me himself and came to pick up my phone so I could keep my work-from-home meeting. Within an hour, I was at the store picking up my phone. Case repaired and no hidden fees, just the agreed-upon price! I would definitely use New Era again, but hopefully not too soon.... read more

I had the misfortune of requiring a major screen repair on my phone after a fight broke out at a event I was at. My phone was knocked off a table and landed straight on marble screen side down. There was total darkness on the screen as well as in my life. While I am not glued to my phone on social media, like most people, I do it a lot for making reservations, Yelp check-ins, emails and text messages to a few people. I do have a second phone, so all was completely loss, but this was my primary phone. As it was a Friday night, I reached out to a few places on Yelp and New Era was the only place that responded right away. The Doctor and I were scheduled to leave town the following week and I was trying to get the phone repair ASAP to take with me. Juan was very responsive and took care of me right away. The repair looked amazing with the screen working as intended. Unfortunately the damage was not just with the screen, but far more extensive than initally thought. Not sure what happened during that fall, but the phone would not stay connected to network, even though my second phone as well as The Doctor/Queen's were fine. I ended up needing another phone, which was needed as I wanted something smaller for going into my smaller Louis Vuittons. But the work that Juan did was amazing and fast, and the price was just right. I am going to take in my HP for a rehaul, just haven't had the time to do so yet. But I will be taking it as well as some other ones in for additional memory, etc. to improve the performance. read more

Small store that I'd never heard of, but I followed the positive reviews. The owner, Juan, is friendly and very knowledgeable. And the price was right! Definitely recommend. read more

Juan was super friendly and helpful. The schedule was super flexible, and I was able to get my screen replaced in 10 minutes. Quick, affordable and friendly, I highly recommend. read more

Juan is very helpful. He gets the work done. The price is way cheaper compared to other stores. Definitely recommend him!

Was the closest phone repair shop to me at the time, saw the reviews were good and decided to give it a shot, would definitely recommend. Owner is super kind, helpful and worth the price. Even offered a complimentary screen protector, 100% coming back for any repairs that I need in the future. read more

Responded quickly. Fast repair. Reasonable price. iPhone stayed fixed. What more could you ask for?

Juan was able to get me in just an hour after I contacted him for an iPhone 11 battery replacement. The repair took 20 minutes as advertised and was a smooth transaction. Highly recommended! read more

I can't say enough good things about Juan at the Lincoln Square office on Damen. He did an excellent job on my laptop, clearly explained everything he was doing, was very patient with me, and provided outstanding customer service, all at a very reasonable price. Just be sure to call ahead to make sure he's on site before going into the office. read more

Great, fast service. Just got the charging port on my iphone 14 pro replaced in about 20 minutes time. Highly recommended.

I brought in a 1 yr old iPad needing a charging port replacement. Apple will not fix iPad parts. Most repair places will not do repair work requiring soldering but Juan will. Juan had it fixed in less than 24H from when I dropped it off, texted me updates along the process, and did it for a 6th of the price of what it would cost to replace. Fast friendly local family-owned. It's exactly what was needed to get the job done right. read more

Juan was excellent in communication and results. My mom got a paid off but locked phone and I was in and out in under 10 minutes. So awesome! Thanks and I'll be recommending you guys and returning if I need anything ! I got a good rate, turnaround time, and no charge if they couldn't do it. I looked at 5 places and am glad I went w this guys. read more

I've used Juan at New Era twice. He is fast, efficient, and reasonably priced. Fixes phones, tablets, computers etc.

Had a broken iPad Pro screen. Apple advice was to "recycle" it. Took it to New Era and Juan and team were able to fix it. The price was fair. The communication was on point and the service was quick and ahead of schedule. This will be my go-to for further repairs. read more

This is as bad as it gets. Got my phone repaired and the battery replaced. The phone started shaking and the battery stopped charging within 2 weeks. I tried to reach out to him for a few days, didn't hear anything. No response, no room to leave a voicemail. Took the phone into the shop finally and he said it's another issue. At this point, i wanted my phone back but he said no. He told me to call 911 and sign a paper and would not return my phone. Police came up and had to have him basically give me my phone back. This is by far the WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had so please consider before going in to shop. The Guy disappeared after fixing the phone and had to deal with calling the cops. He also said he will get lawyers if I leave a bad review after all of this.. read more

Juan is definitely the go-to guy for smartphone, pad, and computer repairs. He took two older generation iPads that no longer charged because of worn-out Lightning ports, replaced the ports and batteries, and charged less than half of what a new iPad would cost. Other shops claim to fix, but run away from anything that involves opening up the device. New Era Repair gets the job done! read more

Pardon the late review, but nevertheless I got to it! Juan was straight up about all his services of what he could do and not do! All fair prices and can say any better compliments to their customer service and constant contact with updates. I had hardware and computer issues that wouldn't turn on. He was able to retrieve all my files and data on a broken dell all in one pc. Thanks again Juan! :) read more

Great service, easy to communicate and very patient/descriptive when it came to explaining the problem and how to solve it. Will definitely return for any other electronic repair needs! read more

Juan answered my questions regarding my Surface's cracked screen immediately. Great communication. Offered a fair price. Others told me how difficult the repair would be, but Juan just let me know that I would have to wait a few days for the part to come in. Once it did, the repair only took 1 hour and a half. It looks and works great. I would absolutely recommend them to others in need of computer, tablet, phone repair. He seems to love the work and that matters a lot. read more

This store/staff is new, and this is a perfect example of how to open a new business. I called in advance and asked about replacing an iPhone X screen and the gentleman I spoke with was knowledgeable, kind and even drove to their warehouse JUST to pick up what I needed (which was out of stock.) THAT is called customer service. Wow. He handled my iPhone X screen replacement in about 15 min, and even gave me a complimentary SIM card pin tool. These guys are great. Definitely recommend. read more

I needed the back of my iPhone replaced and had gone to other places but the prices were insane. Juan took care off it with a reasonable price and was in and out within 45 minutes. I was told by other places the repair would take 6-8 hours but at New Era Repair I got my phone back and working perfectly fine within 45 minutes. Great customer service as well. Throughout the process, Juan kept me updated about what was going on. Definitely recommended. read more

I made an appointment with Juan at 11 am, when I arrived the store was closed. I waited outside for almost 30 minutes and he never showed up. The next door shoe repair shop, was kind enough to let me borrow their phone to call Juan to ask how much longer I had to wait for him, but Juan never answered his phone. I drove for about 40 minutes, I wasted my time and gas for nothing. He reached out to me to apologize and to explain why he didnt show up and offered to repair my phone at no cost. We booked another appointment but then all of a sudden his soldering equipment broke on him and told me it would take weeks to get a new one. As a result he didn't repair my phone. This is unprofessional and I would not trust someone with a business with this kind of unprofessionalism. read more

I broke the screen on my iphone basically as soon as I got it... three years ago. Part of why I never got around to getting it fixed was because it always seemed like such an inconvenience to go out of the way to drop my phone off somewhere and then pick it up later. When I found out this place was right in my neighborhood, I requested a quote to get my screen replaced. I heard back from the owner that same day, so a few days later I decided to stop in. I dropped my phone off, received a claim ticket, and left to pick up some groceries. When I got back, they were finishing up my repairs. When I checked out, I was told that I have a two year warranty on my new screen, which is an awesome bonus. read more

My beloved iPhone 7+ had a cracked screen, little battery life, and worthless charging port. Owner Juan Cuevas met me minutes before closing, quoted a reasonable price for all repairs ($135 + tax), and told me it would be ready the next day. I've been using my iPhone for over a week and everything is working as it should. Excellent work and customer service! He can also extract data from my old laptop, so I'll be a returning customer. read more

top notch all around. fast, friendly and fairly priced.

I stumbled across this shop as I was walking home from the train. I needed my iPad repaired and they were great! Customer service, knowledge and reliability are top notch and the work that they did for me was perfect. I would highly recommend them for any computer, tablet, phone repair. read more

My iPhone XR broke last Friday. This was the second time in 6 months. I went to the one by Devon the first time my phone screen broke. I had issues with the screen afterwards. Like sometimes I have to turn the phone off so the touch screen will work again. Unfortunately I broke my screen again. So I decide to look for another place. I tried calling places. The New Era offered the most reasonable price. Jose was very nice and he fixed my phone in 25 mins. He even gave me a screen protector as a 1st time customer. The place is really clean and new. Customer service is amazing. I highly recommend. read more

Juan saved my life!!!! Thank this store for being open and so helpful!!!!!! My phone wasn't working and I was in a city I'm familiar with and all my money is on my phone. He saved me literally LOL!!! read more

Juan did a great job repairing the screen on my iPhone 8. Looks great and was done incredibly quickly. There is literally no reason I will take the phone to Apple to fix it going forward. Extended the life of the phone, and I am now looking for other electronics around the house that I have avoided getting fixed because it was too much of a hassle. Thanks Juan for doing a great job! read more

Fixed my cracked iPhone screen in 20 minutes for $60. Really friendly service. I'll be back!

Thank you! Fixed/replaced a broken iphone camera for my son. Really nice and helpful, great service, fast ... Definitely recommend.

They fixed the screen on my brand new iPad 7 for a lot less than I expected to pay. After a dumb accident on my part, my screen was smashed so bad I couldn't even touch it because tiny pieces of the screen would stick to my finger. It's basically like brand new again. Inexpensive, quick, and high quality repair. Ask for Juan, he'll take good care of you. read more

My husband went here to get us phone screen fixed. He is so satisfied with the price and customer service. The screen he put in was literally just like the original iPhone screen. Highly recommended! read more
