I been going to Nova Fix for years every since they opened and I love this place! When you walk in there is always someone sitting there ready to greet and help you. They repairs are the best price in the area and they are FAST! AT&T sent me to Ubreakifix by Asurion and it was a terrible experience. I will remain loyal to Nova Fix. The only way I will try a new spot is if my insurance sends me there but I would not expect the same service I receive at Nova!!!! read more

The owner is a very transparent and honest man. I went in for a data recovery but he offered to fix my phone at a at a very fair price, almost half of what others were quoting. The repair wasn't possible so we only did the data recovery which was only $40, while other shops said they'd only do it at $160. Would come here if I had other phone troubles. read more

This is a great business! Reasonable pricing, excellent customer service, and a perfect repair. I will be recommending NovaFix to everyone!

I needed a hand held GPS repaired, Dymitry called me back immediately. I had it dropped off and had it repaired, and I Still haven't received a response from any of the other companies. Great service. Thank you Dymitry. read more

Super affordable computer repair! They explained the issue clearly. Great, reliable service!

We requested a back glass replacement for an Iphone 13 pro and it costed $180. The quality was really good. I'd come here again!

Nova Fix did a great job replacing my iPad Pro screen. They were transparent throughout the process, quick to respond, and turned everything around very quickly. I'll definitely be using them for future device fixes. read more

Brought my phone in because the wireless charging stopped working. The owner/technician diagnosed the problem quickly and had the parts to fix it. Swapped my ubsc port and battery in about an hour. Works like new now! Will be bringing my stuff here from now on. Also responded on Yelp with an accurate estimate/cost for the repair based on a quick description. Great repair shop. read more

Absolutely genuine and personalized service. You won't find a better place for mobile repairs in my opinion. Coordinated, transperant and cost efficiency. Good job team. read more

Easy communication and accurate estimate through yelp messaging, luckily he wad exactly what was needed to fix the issue and instead of the 4-5 business day estimates we were getting, we got our laptop in great working condition in 2 hours. Highly recommend read more

Quick service and fair prices. Highly recommend, used for iPhone screen repair on 3 devices.

Dropped my iPhone last month while using it for a work assignment. Went to Nova Fix and they replaced the glass on my iPhone 7Plus in under a half hour. Their work is seamless and it lasts. Highly recommend! One tip -- the parking meter enforcement on that stretch of Chicago Avenue is super aggressive. If you park in front, feed the meter! read more

Fixed the back broken glass of my iphone 12 within an hour and change. I originally called around 1pm and the owner explained he didn't have the part in stock but could have it soon (aka tomorrow). I explained i was trying to get it fixed same day due to travel arrangements, and not only did he manage to find the part, go pick it up, and fix my phone within two hours - but also did it all with incredible grace and a very fair price! incredibly happy with the service. read more

Okay, I usually do not leave yelp reviews, but I believe it is in the best for humanity if I share my experience so that others do not have to struggle and waste time and money, as I have. It all started when I broke my iPhone X screen 6 months ago. I looked to yelp/ other reviews to make my decision and thought this place was alright, with an okay price. It was close, seemed legit, right? I was wrong. First time I came in, an individual behind the counter said to come back in 30 minutes. I waited at the coffee shop across the street and when I came back, my cracked phone screen was replaced. I looked at my phone, and it seemed dull. I turned up the brightness, still dull. I should have known then. Complaining makes me anxious so I was like uh thank you and left. I then got home and looked at it more, there was GLUE around the phone, and i peeled some off. There was a space between the screen and the rest of my phone, I could press down and the space would close, and then I would let go and it would bounce back. Bad. I knew at this point something was wrong for sure. I'm super busy so I left it. A day passes, the screen starts glitching. I take time out of my busy schedule to GO BACK. a different individual is there this time. he tries to charge me $120 AGAIN to get another phone fix. I say absolutely fucking not. they replace it again. lo and fucking behold, it glitches again. i go to a different place and they say that whoever fixed my phone 1) did it poorly 2) used super cheap materials and 3) damaged my phone. i pay AGAIN to have my phone fixed somewhere else. TLDR; if you want your phone fixed, go somewhere else, and save the two trips and arguments that I had. Nova Fix, you are on my shit list read more

I had a Macbook Air from 2013 and the OS wouldn't update. Therefore all of the browsers wouldn't update and as a result nothing really worked. I thought I needed to buy a whole new computer. Then I reached out to Nova Fix to see what could be done. Dmitry was very knowledgeable and said they could partition the hard drive and install the latest OS from Apple. So I brought it in and sure enough, after a few hours my 2013 Macbook Air was basically refurbished with the latest OS and it feels like a brand new computer. It saved me the hassle of buying a new one for a fraction of the cost. read more

Absolutely loved their service. I had doubts to take my iPhone to a store other than Apple to fix my iPhone. But this store absolutely changed me. Got an appointment in next half hour, fixed it in 20 min and walked out with a phone that looked like new fixing solid vertical light on my iPhone screen. Better price than Apple store also. They made sure I got the best service. Guys were very through in every detail and extremely caution. I'm absolutely happy with a service I received. Will go here for my next repairs definitely.Without any doubts if you have something to fix, your first thought should be NovaFix. read more

I can't say enough good things about this shop! Needed my iPhone screen fixed, they gave me a quote and got it done in ONE day. They really show that they care about their customers, because I told them I was planning on trading the phone in after it was fixed. They called me to make sure I wasn't trading it in with Apple said they would know the screen was changed and therefore will not take it. I really appreciate them going the extra mile to let me know. Fortunately, I was turning it into my cellphone carrier. They fixed it so fast and everything looked perfect. They made it so easy. I hope I won't break my phone again, but if I do I'll definitely come back! read more

I've been going to Nova Fix for more than 10 years. They aren't always the very lowest estimate but their prices are competitive and the quality of the work is excellent. Nova Fix has repaired several phones and tablets for me over the years from Blackberry, Nokia, Samsung, and Apple. They have repaired broken screens and camera lenses, and fixed issues with antennas, keyboards, audio, touch screens, battery life, etc. Service by certified knowledgeable technicians is fast and perfectly executed. Apple even replaced a device under warranty (after I dropped my phone in the lake) after I had a screen replaced by Nova Fix. (That would have voided the warranty if they could tell it was replaced.) Most recently one of my rear camera lenses cracked. After spending almost 3 hours at Apple Genius Bar, they told me it would cost $499 to repair. Nova Fix repaired it for $50 in about 40 minutes. No need to look any further. Absolutely highly recommend Nova Fix for any device repair needs. read more

We have had Nova Fix do a few jobs for us over the years and have always had good experiences. Once we brought in a 20 y/o drive to see if the data could be pulled off it. They had to order a special reader for the drive, only then to discover that the motor in the drive was bad. Getting the data off of the drive would have required an extensive, specialized recovery effort, so we decided not to go ahead with it. Nova Fix refused to accept any money for the job, even after they had gone through all the trouble and expense to discover the bad drive motor. This is a very friendly and professional company. read more

I got a quote and was able to come in to get my LCD screen fixed all in one day. I dropped my phone that morning and it destroyed my LCD screen on my Google Pixel 2. I asked for a quote on Yelp, and they got back to me within the hour. They said it would be $130, and that they had availability that day and the parts in stock. I got quotes from other places and this was the most affordable. I came in around 2 PM, and they let me know it could be fixed within 2 hours. Mostly took that long to get the glue to dry. Went by the McDonald's nearby to do some homework, came back, and it was done! I even used the Yelp coupon and saved $10. I thought this whole process would be a lot more stressful, but they gave me all the info up front and there were no surprise costs. Definitely recommend. read more

I am from Texas and the repair shops in my area did not offer this repair (Sim card reader not reading any SIM cards) since it required soldering, so I understood I was taking a gamble on this repair. I found out about NovaFix from eBay to handle a repair/replacement of my SIM card reader for iPhone 7 Plus. I shipped off the device to NovaFix and once it arrived at their facility, they repaired the issue that same day, contacted me to show me it was now working and shipped it back quickly. NovaFix helped save me hundreds of dollars by not having to buy a new phone. I definitely recommend their services if you have an issue with your SIM card reader and I would consider them for all my future needs, even though I am an out of state customer. read more

It's unfortunate I can't give them 6 stars, these guys are amazing. I took my iPad to have the screen replaced, after weeks of putting it off I finally decided to bring it here. I msged them for a quote and gave me a reasonable price which is already a plus. They called me to tell me my camera was also damaged and could be replaced for an xtra cost (I really didn't care for the camera since I don't use it on the iPad so I declined over the phone). When I went to pick it up, not only did they replace my screen, but also my camera that was damaged! No extra charge and on top of that honored the $10 off for checking in. I was blown away, these guys run an honest business and really take their time to deliver a clean and exceptional service. I highly recommend. They will beat or match the competition. Totally worth the drive! read more

Nova Fix provided a quick response to my Yelp request for a quote. Received a reasonable quote after describing the problem. I had already received a ridiculous quote from another vendor without any requests for information. My phone was prepared in under an hour and less than estimate. Reasonable and honest! read more

Stopped by Nova Fix with my son, whose phone wouldn't charge. The guy behind the counter grabbed a tool, worked on the charging port for a minute or so, and then said "fixed." And it was. I tried to offer him some money, but he wouldn't take it. Couldn't have been more helpful or nicer. read more

Damn Chloe padlock on my purse finally did some damage - but not to a would-be mugger, rather my work-issued iphone :-( My first thought was that my boss would be pissed and then my wallet was going to be even more pissed. For $50 and in under 10 minutes the nice Ukrainian boys had my phone looking brand new! Looks chic from the outside and like an upscale real estate office inside - unlike some of those scary "here today, gone tomorrow" mobile accessory shops. An absolute pleasure! read more

Nova Fix Phone Shop On Chicago Ave. My phone is brand "NEW". They were extremely efficient, I was able to wait outside and they cleaned off my phone with a bleach wipe and also wiped my credit card down with a bleach wipe . Double Wipes! The owner made sure he understood the full issue I was having with my phone and then made sure I understood what was needed to make sure my phone worked like new. The best phone repair service in Chicago hands down! I needed a new battery for my HTC 10 and I wasn't eager to do it myself since these phones are the most difficult to work with. They ordered the par tand I got my HTC fresh as new in less than 10 days. The actual replacement process lasted less than a day, so they are blazing fast. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my phone in the future, these guys can fix anything. Skill set 10/10 read more

The front desk gentleman could have been more respectful. About a week ago, I accidentally spilled water on my E14 Thinkpad keyboard. Some keys were dead. I reached out to this store to see how it could be fixed. As a lawyer who has to work 12-14 hours a day typing, a comfortable keyboard is vital. It's also the reason why I did not replace my old E14 with the newer Yoga or X1--their keyboards are subpar compared to the older T and E series. Nova Fix told me they would replace mine with the original keyboard so imagine how surprised I was upon receiving my laptop with some knocked-off Chinese keyboard (OEM, as claimed) for our agreed price of $200. The front desk gentleman was grumpy when I said I was not satisfied with the result. He began lecturing me on how laptop parts can be manufactured in different countries. He laughed sarcastically at my arguments, treated me like I am a retard when it comes to gadgets. He called another gentleman who took care of my order, Dmitri, who was easier to talk with, and eventually, we agreed on a revised price. By the time I was about to head out of the store, the grumpy gentleman said, "Hey, look here (showed me a Wikipedia page on Lenovo) your laptop is a Chinese brand". My Chinese ass was so dead inside. I appreciated Dmitri for listening and accomodating me, but the front desk gentleman could improve his attitude. read more

Great work and professional. Highly skilled repairs on my big iPad! Took my big iPad Pro 12.9 1st generation to get the lightening port replaced years ago. They held it and micro-soldiered the lightning port back on correctly. Awesome fix! Came back a few days ago and requested 1) new battery 2) fix the broken front camera (just black screen). I put down a deposit, 2 days later they called with the part in stock, dropped off the iPad. He repaired (micro-soldiered) the front camera (didn't need to be replaced) and got a new battery in a few hours. Awesome job! Recommend! read more

Unfortunately, this business could use A LOT of improvements, especially in the communication aspect. I scheduled an appointment with them. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, the person I was supposed to meet wasn't even there. Additionally, I had to call them to get updates on the status of my phone and when I did days after dropping it off, they told me they couldn't fix it. I'd have appreciated better communication even if they couldn't fix it. I drove across town to get to these appointments, so they were rather quite disappointing. read more
