My experience was very brief, but I'd say that they get 5 stars for integrity alone. My note 5 had been having connection issues and could not fast charge anymore. Even on their site, it says that replacing the battery and fixing the connection was going to run me around 200 dollars. Considering that I use it for work, that it was out of warranty and an older phone, and I had a hurt back so I couldn't run around everywhere, it was fair. I was willing to shell out the cash just so I could get back to normal. They looked it over, cleaned out the connector, and double checked everything with the battery and didn't charge me for anything. I mean at first I was getting a little short because they just fixed it without a major repair and I didn't have time for it to go south later on. But they kept pushing that they had no reason to take out the battery and replace the connector because they couldn't replicate the issue. Solid guys, very patient, and they didn't charge me for it. Preformed a fast and effective fix for my iWatch screen and battery at an a reasonable price.

Cheaper than getting your iPhone screen fixed by Apple (~$130), but you're not guaranteed OEM parts (original manufacturer's parts). This is important for two reasons: (1) A non-OEM glass screen will not create the exact same color/contrast output as the original screen (2) Possibility of the home button rattling due to an non-OEM glass screen (this was later fixed) I brought in my iPhone 6 to fix the screen. Upon receiving it, the color and contrast was off and the home button rattled (I compared my iPhone to other iPhones). I brought it back in, and they took another look. Second time around, they fixed the home button rattle, and the color/contrast of the new screen was better, but it was still warmer than an original iPhone's screen. This matters especially for people who do a lot of photo-editing on their phones, as you can't properly adjust settings when the screen is altering your colors. The employees at Nova seemed nice enough, and they insisted that it was an OEM glass screen. I have reason to doubt them, as the replacement screen isn't exactly the same as the original. I would get a refund if I could, and then pay the extra $ to get my screen fixed by authorized dealers/Apple. read more

You guy went the extra mile to fix it not once, but twice when the initial fix still demonstrated a small degree of cracking in the damaged corner. Really great spot! dropped my phone and then it started turning off every few minutes. Took it in immediately, picked it up 2 hours later working great. It was $120 for the functional issue. I told them i didn't care about the cosmetics though, but they did that part for free too! But then i noticed my wifi was bugging and i thought it may have had something to do with their repair work. Took it in and picked it up 2 hours later. They said it was something on a different area of the phone (so probably not having anything to do with their fix; probably also broke during the fall..), but they wouldn't accept any payment for it! This place is the definition of expertise. There always is at least one tech on hand who is like a cell phone Yoda, able to figure out the quirkiest little problems. I had a terminally ill phone ready to be put to rest but was trying to milk a month out of it until I qualified for a significant discount on a new one from my provider. The power button stopped working and the phone wouldn't turn on. I took it in and a super friendly guy there sat down with it, took it apart, worked on it like a surgeon, and revived it in about 10 minutes. The price they charged almost didn't seem fair to them. Being an absent-minded sort at times, I let the battery run down a few days later and took it back. The same guy worked his magic again, and was tried to tell me no charge. I insisted on paying them something, and they cemented a customer for life. Writing this review the night BEFORE taking my phone to NovaFix for my 4th visit. I've used them for 3 broken screens before and recommended to my colleagues and clients. They are polite (old school European polite), fast and honest. Their prices are fair, not the lowest but not the highest. They always offer me the yelp discount as a repeat customer and I've never had issues with their repairs and workmanship. When it comes to phone repair... its really hard to find a place that wont rip you off. Not only are the people here experts when it comes to iPhones, HTC, or blackberries but they take the time to make sure you understand exactly what's going on with your repair. Then they go one step further and work on it right in front of you. So... dropped my HTC Evo in water... wouldn't even turn on (bought it 6 days ago from sprint). First thought... SH!T. Well there goes another $400 bucks trying to get sprint to replace it. Enter NovaFix... First off I couldn't get to the store until 530pm (closes at 5), but the guys were nice enough to stay late. Left the phone with them overnight, and they had it ready for me the next day by noon! These guys rebuilt the connector between the LCD and digitizer (blacklight) within an hour and had the phone dried out and working like new for under $100! Keep in mind, even when I offered Sprint money to fix the phone, the only solution given to me was to replace the entire unit for full retail cost. I broke my HTC One-X's screen, which happens to be the most expensive and largest pain-in-the-ass screen to fix of all smartphones from my experience. Yippee. After becoming hopelessly depressed watching the YouTube video showing how to fix the screen, and realizing that there was no way in hell I was going to pull that off, I started researching places to fix my stupid screen. I went with NovaFix because they had a Yelp deal, and were reasonably close to my house. Also they seemed to get good reviews. After about an hour wait, they were able to fix my phone good as new, so they did the job. And the fellow up front who fixed my phone was pretty friendly and nice, so good customer service too. Although, they were reluctant to let me use the bathroom, but I think after I paid them the $100+ to fix my phone it dawned on them that it might be a good idea to let me do that. These guys are AWESOME! I was definitely not drinking wine when my iPhone slipped out of my hand, screen-side down, onto on a tile floor. The screen shattered, and the packing tape that prevented the glass shards from being embedded in my fingers while I texted wasn't providing the clarity I desired. I called a couple other places prior to this to have them actually recommend this spot since they only serviced iPhones and my phone was a Samsung. I had a crack in the back of the phone which I had no idea how that happened. I came in and met with Victor as I talked with him earlier and showed him my phone. I used to try and buy parts on Amazon and fix my iPhone screen by myself, but after coming here and getting it done for $100 ($90 with the coupon), I'll never do it myself again. I know exactly how difficult the process is, and the guy did it himself in 15 minutes. BUT, 2 days later, the phone was flickering and I couldn't type on the screen. It wasn't anything too crazy, as the phone still worked fine. After a week or so, it was obvious something was wrong with the part. I brought it back in and the same rep popped off the old screen, identified that it was a faulty part, and gave me a new one that works fine now almost 3 months later. I was referred to these "kids", and thought I was getting professional service specialists, but instead I was greeted by a young guy! They did fix my 3gs phone that had a crack in the glass, but I found out later that I overpaid (other shops were doing it for like 10 and 20 bucks less). The worst part was that after a week or so the glass cracked again, and all I did was drop it on my carpet. I have thrown my iphone many times and the old glass took alot more punishment than this new glass did before it broke. Novafix are very professional, friendly, and quick service. When I went, they originally said 1 hour, but I had to be at work in an hour, and Viktor said they could finish it in 25 minutes. Prior to coming to Novafix few years ago, I searched places to fix my previous phones and Novafix is most cost efficient place to fix devices in Chicago. Took less than 20 minutes to change my screen. Have been coming to get my phones and fixed. They have great store deals. Came here over the summer to have my charging port fixed on a Samsung Blaze. Called and received a quote of $55-60 (can't remember) and was told it may take a day or so to fix. That price was better than most competitors I've seen plus alot of places weren't sure how much until they had the phone in their hand. If you can purchase the Yelp deal which gives you $10 for $20. Its a small little shop on Chicago Ave. Bunch of young guys but don't let their age fool you, they know EXACTLY what they were doing. When I arrived, I told the guy what was the problem and he remembered our phone convo.
