I had a very frustrating experience with this business and would not recommend it based on what happened to me. I brought my iPhone in on 4/7/26 for a battery replacement. I was told to leave the phone charging for several hours and not to use it, which already seemed unusual, but I followed the instructions. The next morning (4/8/26), the phone would not turn on at all. I went back to the shop right when the listed opening time said they would be open, but the store was closed. I ended up waiting and coming back multiple times, and the business did not open until after 2 PM. This made it very difficult to get timely help. When I finally spoke with the technician, he examined the phone and told me that there had been a short circuit. However, he did not take responsibility for the issue and instead tried to explain it in a way that suggested it wasn't related to the repair. I requested a refund for the battery replacement service since the phone was no longer working after the visit. Initially, there was resistance, but I was eventually refunded $66. Overall, the experience involved poor communication, long delays in opening hours, and a repair that resulted in my phone no longer functioning. I ultimately had to replace my phone. I recommend asking detailed questions about repair policies, turnaround time, and warranty before using this service. read more

This past Sunday - I gave them a call since they were one of the handful of stores open that could repair my phone. They said they could get the replacement glass for my wives Samsung flip z phone on Tuesday. I told them my wife has cancer and has doctor appointments weekly - so time is of the essence. I quickpay a deposit and on Tuesday - their listed number goes straight to voicemail all day. It is now Wednesday and I still couldnt get anyone to answer to the phone. I figured hey - maybe they are super busy so I drove over there - and despite yelp saying they are open - they were not. Save your time and hard earned money and go elsewhere! read more

Took my phone to get fixed the back and the front was broken, once I got it back the front camera was blurry can't see anything the back of my phone broke within like 2 weeks of getting it fixed never dropped it for it to break, and it turns off at least twice a week takes a while to turn back on. I took it to see if they'd fix it and all they said was they could clean the camera. Don't waste your money. read more

Had screen replaced on an iPhone 6S Plus. It only took ten minutes and I was out the door. Nice work, phone looks beautiful again.

I went two weeks ago to replace cracked screen. Screen was replaced. A week and a half later green vertical lines started pooping up on screen. Took it back for them to check and ask why this would happen. The guy immediately proceeded to suggest I broke my screen again. I was livid. Accusing a customer without any reason. I did not break my phone again. I would not want to pay $180 again. There was potentially a faulty, generic screen put on my phone, which I was aware it would be after market. I was not expecting to be accused after over paying for a repair that was not done properly. They took no responsibility for it. The place DOESN'T even PROVIDE RECEIPTS and only takes cash. That should have been my red flag. I took my phone to an authorized Samsung dealer, authentic parts paying $149 and 1 year warranty. This is what I get for not doing research. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY. Just because they speak nice doesn't mean they were honest. read more

I had a cracked screen on my Galaxy Note 5G, so I couldn't see anything on my phone for a few days. I stay in Hyde Park, near U of C, so I assumed it wouldn't be too difficult to find someone in the area who could repair my screen, hopefully fast and wouldn't cost too much. After calling around and going to 3 different repair shops in Hyde Park, all of them said it would take at least 3 weeks to get the screen delivered and there was no guarantee on when it would arrive. Finally, the last shop recommended that I check out Tech 1.8, further up on the Northside. I gave them a call that Sunday afternoon, they told me to come by and that they're open until 9p (on a Sunday nonetheless!). Within 30 minutes of me getting there and giving them my phone, not only was my cracked screen replaced with a brand new one, but he also fixed the back of my phone, essentially giving me a new phone, all in less than 30min! The price was very reasonable and they were really professional, really great guys! Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone to check them out, no matter where you are in the city, it's def worth the drive, I wish I would've known about them sooner!
