Great Staff and Great Products! I came here to turn in my iPhone 5s (yes....it's an oldie) and get the IPhone 11 Pro Max and had such an amazing experience! Truth be told, I got the iPhone 11 at first, but came back and soon left with my 11 pro max. I worked with Evan and he helped me both times to get everything straight, walked me through the new features, and he also introduced me to helpful accessories that I will, for sure, come back to purchase. I am a sprint customer and sadly they closed down the usual store I go to. So now I'm forced to go to T-Mobile which i usually don't enjoy the visit because it's usually young adults who have zero customer service skills and are more hyped about the store radio then the customer. I have five lines with sprint so I pay a good amount of money and I get that we are in a pandemic and social distancing is very crucial so having to wait for service not a big deal for me. But to have me wait an hour and thirty mins for one of T-Mobile unpleasant looking (W/ RBF) to go out back grab my pre ordered phone hand me the box and tell me you can go home and switch your phone yourself. OK can't be that hard right?!? Wrong first off I DONT PAY A LOT of money for you to make me IT, I'm not tech savvy, and I rely on my phone for work. I switch my iCloud thinking that was it but nope the night I missed three major calls from work and I work in the medical field so yes it was important. So why do you have T-Mobile representatives in the store if you aren't going to help and just send us home with our problems and say figure it out?? I HAVE NEVER HAD AN EMPLOYEE LOOK SO MISERABLE & THEN JUST SEND ME OFF LIKE I KNOW WHAT IM SUPPOSE TO DO WITH THESE PHONES. I'm pretty sure the guys who work here are magic. Each time I come in with a question about my phone they a.) get to me quickly, even if there's a line; b.) are patient listening to even the most convoluted and meandering story; c.) always resolve my issue so that I leave in a better place than in which I entered; and d.) have yet to up sell me. The friendly, knowledgeable customer service can't be beat and when you're having issues with your mini-computer isn't all you really want is a comforting ear, someone to tell you it's going to be alright and -- even better -- someone who can FIX the problem? I can't quite figure it out. I come in and brace myself for an unpleasant experience and I leave giddy and giggly and contemplate bringing them a plate of cookies. Magic, I tell you. Arrived from overseas in need of replacing my damaged, and rather older, phone, and explored my options here with Mario and Jorge. Mario explained the issues I was facing with the processing system of my S6, and suggested that I wait a bit before purchasing a new phone, while exploring the latest in the phone market. I am a Samsung loyalist, and was conflicted between the three S10 phones. I am use to the size of the S10e, but was more attracted to the S10 and the S10+. After two other hiccups with the processing system on my phone, l decided to proceed with the new S10+, so as to have my old files/pics safely transferred, without worrying about my S6 failing me entirely. Staff set up my phone and answered most questions I had. The S10+ is amazing and impressive. It is larger than I wanted (I have small hands), but I LOVE it. Also purchased the Tech21 case (best case ever), as well as a screen protector. Mario and crew made the decisions so easy for me. read more

Seriously. Hated my phone, got no satisfaction when I called the 800 number. In fact, they were awful. Long time customer, I went in the store to basically throw my phone at them and run away. Left with a fantastic new phone and a renewed plan (for someone who has been counting the days until she could dump this company, that is saying something). That is how good Natalie is. She dealt with customer service for me, changed my service so it works more efficiently, got me into a Samsung Galaxy II (which ROCKS!) that I walked out with, and restored my faith that there are people out in the world who actually care about their customers. Pretty ticked off with this store. Stood in line for over half an hour to get in, finally got in to ask a question that they couldnt answer over the phone. brought my Iphone X in to see what the trade in value would be since the back glass had a small crack in it. Guy told me that it is worth 0$ and they would not even take it unless I had it fixed first. It being a Sunday and needing my phone for work the following day, I took it to the cell phone repair shop next door and paid 100$ to have the back glass replaced. Get home and do a little research come to find out the back glass will not effect the price of the phone and they will take it regardless (a change in policy that Tmoblie made 6 months prior). If the guy had taken more than 20 seconds to answer my question and actually do his job instead of trying to usher me out the door, I wouldn't be out 100$ for nothing. Thanks a lot read more

They take pleasure in putting obstacles by offering choices that take hours to complete simple tasks instead of minutes. Apparently I'm a girl who just likes abuse. I liken my relationship with T-Mobile to a relationship to a shitty boyfriend. When it's good, it's great, but when it's bad, I've been Chris Brown'd. I left my previous abuser, Verizon, last winter and moved in with T-Mobile. TM said he would never hurt me. He'd never make me sign a contract or ask me to keep my old-ass phone for longer than six months. He wouldn't be a corporate robot sent from the cellular telephone depths of misery to make my life a living out-of-service hell. Some of that remained partly true. The first eight months of our young relationship I enjoyed. The romantic dinners, the lower bills, the nice new phone. And then the iPhone 6 came out. TM shushed me to sleep and told me, "you can have whatever you want, baby. You're on my JUMP program, girl. You can have it all. Every six months at least." That's when the lies started. I ordered my iPhone 6, and two weeks later I got a 6 Plus. Uh, have you seen my midget hands? I already have an iPad thanks, I don't need a second one that makes calls. I called TM trying to get it fixed, and got no luck. I was even hung up on once. That was fun. So I returned it to this store where they returned it for me and tried to order me a 6. And tried, and triedandtriedandtried. No dice. Defeated, I gave up and went home. Two weeks later, after the promises of receiving a call as soon as the 6 golds came into the store I would be the first to know, the phones came in and I got no phone call. Like some pitiful girlfriend left on the last day of summer before her boyfriend heads off to college. Don't worry girl, you'll be the first person I call when I'm home on break. Uh huh. I had to walk into the store to find out they had been cheating on me! Caught iPhone 6-handed, guys!! So after over an hour in the store, I finally got my midge hands on the phone I waited six weeks for #firstworldproblems. And then my 6 didn't want to play with my 5S and the technician had to keep restarting the transfer process. This breakup was going miserably. Eventually, TWO HOURS LATER, I got my new 6. Victory at last!!!! I'm a free woman!! Eeerrrr except my new 6 is a lemon I think. It transferred over all my photos seven times. Seven times! Deleted all the data in my apps, and my favorite- it notifies me in two minute intervals of texts I get. I F#$@#$$ saw it pop up the first time, 6!! Stop F$%^ telling me about the same F@#$% text!! I'd go back to the store if I were scared of what they would do with the phone the second time they got their normal-sized hands on it. The guys at this location are nice, attentive, but they are not Apple-friendly. Every single guy I talk to basically washes their hands of the iPhones. They're quick to tell me they don't have iPhones and don't recommend them. The guy who transferred my 5S to my 6 wasn't even sure how the new 6 worked. Come on man. You can do better than that. I was in the wrong place at 4:30 yesterday on the way back from a fresh manicure. A drunken man decided to grab my phone out of my hands and shatter it on the ground. I am on call at work for the next four days. Not having a phone was simply not an option. I went to Sprint with video and a police report. They said we can't do anything. I could call costumer service. I was like on what phone? I had to ask them if I could use their phone. No one could help me. They really did not want to either. I decided to walk the three doors down to the T-mobile store. Natalie explained what would happen in this instance if I was a T-mobile customer. They would give me a loner phone for the night and my phone would be over nighted to me. It was an easy choice. Thank you T-mobile for saving my day. This place is fantastic. Sadly, I must update my review to include that the text feature on the pre-paid line I now have is not a full text service. That is to say, I can send texts to phone numbers, but any SMS (that is, say, a store deal or even CTA bus tracker) does NOT work at all. This is NOT good. For example, the other day, I was in Office Depot and I could not get the coupon they offered. NOT OKAY. I have visited numerous forums on this issue as well as going to stores and trying to deal with customer service. No one has an answer. It just doesn't work. That is NOT okay. In a sense, it is false advertising to tell customers that they will have texting when such an important feature and aspect is left out. I was also thinking of trying to get the $49.99 unlimited deal that they offer with two phones for my one phone, which may solve the problem. This has got to be a network issue and clearly, the pre-paid services is what is causing this inferiority. But if that is the case, it should have been disclosed. My guess is that my request to get the $49.99 plan (with the contract) will be denied. I am going to give this one last try before I tell T-Mobile that I will report this to authorities. Because, it's just not right. You don't get to tell customers that they will have texting and then limit the ability to text!!! I will post updates as they occur. read more

If you think that all cell phone stores are the same, and it's better to buy a phone online, give this place a visit. This location is hands down the best store with the best and most friendly, personable service i've ever had when buying or even just looking at cell phones. I've had T-Mobile service for about five years now. A couple years ago i was thinking of going to another company when my contract was up, but everyone I know with at&t has awful phone reception and verizon is anti-union, so i was leaning back to T-Mobile. Was about to buy a phone from the Best Buy a few doors down but gave this place a shot. They amazed me. Their sales tactics were very low pressure, gave me all the info i needed and left me alone than answered more questions once I was ready to buy. The gal who took care of me (sorry, I've forgotten her name) not only took care of transferring all my contacts, SIM card, etc., but also made sure I kept my 1,000 minute plan for only $40 a month. Then, after the phone had already been sold to me, phoned me to make sure things were OK with it! I still have a few months to go on my current contract and since the iphone is still tied to at&t (are you listening, steve jobs???) i'll likely keep my t-mobile service. i've stopped back in this store a couple times over the past month just to look at phones and -- unlike a couple other t-mobile stores, such as state street and uptown -- after i told them my situation, they directed me to the working phones (those other t-mobile stores do not have working phones available!), told me about a couple new models coming out soon, and went away, but were available for my extra questions. Awesome. I know i can get better deals, save some cash by buying a phone online, but with the service and peace of mind i have when shopping here, i just may pay the extra money and get my next phone -- again! -- from this shop. read more

I had problems with unlocking my sprint phone even after paying off the full price, and when other t-mobile locations (went to one in logan and one in the loop) just said they can't do anything with it, Bryan was different! He tried what he can do with his own knowledge and also by searching up. He truly knows how to learn when facing difficulties, and the team here has great customer service !! Literally racist location. I lost my phone went in to replace the phone. Filed and insurance claim previously and just needed a phone. The agent told me since I did not want to do an upgrade he did not want to help me. The manager then took over the transaction. Apologized for the agent and assured me he'd be of better service. He charged me for the phone and added the phone to my monthly phone. So i paid for a phone, then got billed for the exact same phone monthly. All while having insurance on the original phone. They was I treated by the initial agent was nothing short of appalling and disrespectful. The fact the manager would then instead of correct the situation but just confuse the situation to where I was double billed for a phone is even worse. Now I'm paying a phone I no longer have, a phone I no longer use and insurance on these devices. Long and the short if your a person of color (especially black) evade this store at all cost. They will try to rob you rather than assist you. If you need to go to this store be very careful and aware of your transactions. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY!!! READ EVERYTHING THEY SHOW YOU TO SIGN!!! I've been a t-mobile customer for about 9 years now. They have some of the best customer service people I've ever encountered, and this particular store takes the proverbial cake. The employees I normally interact with are great. I'm having trouble thinking of a few guys' names, but Mike (the manager), Casey, and Adam are all rock stars. Out of those three, I interact with Mike the most, and he's always really nice and very helpful. All three of them were very friendly and helpful last week when we decided to upgrade our plan and get back on a contract. Casey did the paperwork, Mike helped me pick out all of the phones, and Adam chatted away with me and offered me chocolate. What's not to like about that? My only beef is with the blonde girl that works there. I don't know her name and haven't really interacted with her much, but today's encounter left much to be desired. I was trying to explain what was going on with my phone, and she stopped me before I was finished explaining. She said she understood what I was trying to say, but in all honesty, she just made me feel like an idiot, which I know I'm not. They were not busy at all, but she made me feel like she had much better things to do than discuss what issues I might be having. It wasn't that she wasn't pleasant about it, but she gave off the vibe of "man, this woman is an idiot" the whole time we were talking. The niceties felt absolutely fake. Now, were this not somewhere I need to go and there was a chance I'd have to deal with her on a more regular basis, I'd find another store to go to. However, I know all 5 other people I regularly interact with are supremely awesome, so I'll just do my best to go when I know they're going to be there instead. Unlike another reviewer, I have never encountered anyone you could remotely deem 'aggressive.' They never try to sell me anything like that, or lie to me. I'm not sure who she encountered, but maybe they were having an off day. Went in today to transfer my account to another T-Mobile account and to buy a new phone. When I explained to the employee he said I had to call customer service on the phone first to complete the transfer which was fine. But then he tried to get me to leave to do it instead of doing it in the store so that I could buy my phone right after. Basically acting like he didn't want my business. I ended up doing it in the store and after it was done, the attitude from the employees continued. T-mobile customer service screwed up and didn't add me as an authorized user on the new account nor did they put unlimited data on my account like they said they would on the phone before the transfer of service. I attempted to explain this to the employee and was again met with attitude like they didn't want to deal with my issue. The guy said that he can't put unlimited data on my plan because they don't offer it, I explained that I had unlimited data prior as does the account I switched over to and the customer service rep said it could be added for $45 he said "well then you shouldn't have switched and I can't do anything for you I can only go up to 10gb per month and I can't sell you any phones or equipment because you're not an authorized user." It was clear to me at this point my business was not welcome in this store so I left. The issue with the plan has since been resolved over the phone with T-Mobile customer service. However I have still not been able to purchase a new phone because I had to leave the store due to their poor service and attitude. I would not recommend using this location to purchase anything. There are other T-Mobile stores in the area that I will be taking my business to instead. read more

I really don't recommend coming here to this establishment. They o my have so little employees on shift to help out especially when's it's busy and there's a rush. I waited almost 15-30 minutes and no one greeted me. It was hot and humid in the store which made my wait time and experience really disappointed. The employees here and especially the manager that was on shift today was rude. I came in to get a simple thing fixed and it takes them forever. I felt totally disrespected and ignored by all staff. Man, what a difference 3 1/2 miles makes! We walked in and the girl behind the counter (Julia Lopez) who greeted us was really friendly. I explained the situation: I needed to add my fiance on to my plan (he has been on a very expensive Verizon plan for several few years) and switch over to a month-by-month plan that was not going to bust my budget. She looked up my info and took the time to figure out how we could do this without incurring any extra fees. This took maybe 4 minutes and we were all set - I could switch to the cheaper plan I wanted. Score! Then came the part where the fiance got to select a phone. Yeah, that was painful. Julia was super sweet and took all the time we needed to look at different models, even bringing out a few from the back so he could test out the flip action on them. He finally chose one and it was time to transfer over the info from his old phone to the new one. Despite some technical problems with this process, Julia kept her composure. We ended up leaving at 8:30 p.m. - a half hour after the store had officially closed. We felt bad and apologized that we kept her there late - she would have none of it. She was glad she could help us out and even gave us her email address in case we had any questions or problems with the new phone. Julia Lopez takes customer service seriously. She is sweet and accomodating and will go the extra mile (or ten!) to make sure your needs are met and your expectations are exceeded. (OK, so I may have a tiny bit of a girl crush on her now.) The rudest, most incompetent staff to ever grace employment by John Legere. I would call out the rep and manager but they know who they are and so does T-Mobile corporate. I've been a very happy, loyal T-Mobile customer with 2 lines + Apple Watch digits line ($150-$180 with device payments) on auto-pay for 2 years but recently my employer offered to pay my bill if I switched to Verizon. Reluctantly, I made the switch because who doesn't want their bills paid but in doing so it left no "active" lines on my account except my digits line which apparently can't be used for accessing my account on-line but keeps the account "active". I wanted to keep my tenured, grandfathered T-Mobile account because I had no issues with it and one day maybe I'd go back full time. I was told by customer care to head into a store and they could give me access so I could start up 2 new lines on my existing account to keep the account active with usable numbers. I went into this store and instead of trying to keep a long term customer they told me I'd have to pay $20 for a sim starter kit even though I had my own SIM card which customer service verified was still usable, so in reality it's an activation fee and I refuse to pay money to them, for them to keep me as a customer. This stores need for $20 dollars just lost T-Mobile years of service payments, smart. read more

I really wish the guy that helped me first ( I think he was the manager) would have stayed with me through out my transaction. The second person who was finishing my transaction pretty much forced me to get an extra item, especially one I did not need. His name started with an (S) He wouldn't stop trying to up sell items. I kept telling him multiple times I didn't want or need certain items but he kept saying Ill get 20% off this and that. Even though I needed a 3rd item to qualify for an installment plan. I really wish it wasn't so forced upon me. I should have purchased my phone case and screen at the t mobile store in Michigan ave. That is where I bought my phone and had a pleasant experience. Now that I look at my case I think of the annoying guy that pretty much wouldn't take no for an answer and left me with a odd feeling. After going to two T-Mobile stores and trying to upgrade my iPhone for the last two days, I finally walked in the T-Mobile store on N Clark in my neighborhood., where I recently moved. I was immediately greeted by Veronica and Karlee. They were very professional and knowledgeable. They got me the phone I asked for, they were pleasant they told me about my options and offers available. They took care of everything quickly no hassles no messing up my account as it happened at a different store. This is actually the first T-Mobile store I go to between California and Chicago where the associates are polite, know what they are doing and they actually care about their job. SCOUNDRELS working at this T-mobile store. My husband and I went into the store after thanksgiving looking to upgrade our phones. We received what appeared to be at the time "good customer service". Since my husband is an Android guy and I am am an Apple girl, Jorge said we could not get the buy one get one free deal but if we added another line we would only have to pay $120 a month for 3 lines and we would get a $750 credit towards a new phone. We went with getting 1 Galaxy 9 and 2 iPhone XRs. The XR was $749, so with the $750 credit, the 2nd phone would be free. We asked Jorge to verify several times what our final bill would be and we were told that it would be $183 ($120 for 3 lines + monthly payment of 1 galaxy 9 and 1 iPhone XR + taxes and fees). Jorge even took the liberty of showing us a complete breakdown of our bill. Bare in mind that my husband and I are both Engineers by profession and are very numbers oriented. We would never sign any deal for which the numbers made sense. Fast forward to today, we have been charged $140 for the 3 lines since December and any attempts to talk to someone in-store has led to us getting the run around. First they said the $20 will come off after a month. When it didn't, they said "there was no such promotion at the time so there is nothing they can do. Only a manager can do something but the manager is out of the country attending a funeral". When we asked for an assistant manager, another store clerk called Caeser said he didn't know when the manager will be in "sometime before we close so he can lock up". What?!?! So store managers have no set hours and just show up to lock up the store? We left out contact information and were told that a manager would call us back......still radio silent. $20 may not seem like much but over a two year contract that's $480!!! Attempts to call customer service have only lead to them asking us to go back to the store. I am very disappointed with the unscrupulous practices at this store location. I have seen other reviews that have mentioned being scammed by this store. I will continue to pursue this issue because such practices are illegal. why this store doesn't have a solid "5" I have no earthly idea. I like my Samsung galaxy - considered 'antique' by today's smart phone standards. While it's still a great phone - in this case - I'd been on the phone with tech service ... I'd certainly had done everything I knew to resolve the problem I was having; yet it still kept happening. When I confessed how badly I was lusting about the latest incarnation of my phone the Galaxy III ... I swear, he stopped time and space and showed me how I could achieve my technological desire. Worst customer service ever! They cheated us and then said..."we can do nothing, I am sooooo sorry." Avoid the Store!

I have no gripes, but whenever I come to this store about my relatively recent phone, it's not possible to get assistance or even purchase an accessory. I don't know if it's the inventory in this small space, but it certainly does not encourage me to patronize this neighborhood store. It would be nice to be acknowledged as a customer.
