I generally don't like going to cell phone stores, but I walked into this Verizon Wireless in desperation after my phone battery died (even though it said full battery) while I was out shopping in the area. I asked if they could check out my battery to see if there was anything terminally wrong with it. After finding out there was, an employee helped me order a new battery and offered to charge my phone in the store until I was done with my errands. Holy cow! Yes! If that doesn't scream excellent customer service, than I don't know what does. I was so relieved as I was meeting up with friends later but wasn't filled in on all the details yet. I thought I was going to just have to try and guess where/when to meet my friends, but Verizon saved my night! If I ever have a phone problem again, I will definitely travel a few extra miles to come to this location. read more

I have been coming here along time and since I've been with Verizon for over 10 years, I have come to expect the treatment due a loyal customer who has always paid on time, always bought the new phones, and always have the higher cost plans. However, the day the iPhone 6 came out, I was treated miserably. First, the woman who helped me, Raquel never ever smiled and yes I know it was a long day for them, but hey, it's your job to be kind and courteous. She also fed me MUCH incorrect information about Verizon's Edge program that the site and the contract she gave me totally contradicted. She obviously needed more training. To make a long story short, the very rude manager, Carlos kept telling me that I had to turn in my iPhone 5 that day to get my iPhone 6 upgrade, even thought the printed contract I signed stated I had 14 days to bring in the iPhone 5 before being charged (so I could go home and back it up at least). He loudly and embarassingly kept telling me it was different in the store instead of how it was done online where you mail it in later. Well, then why does the contract I signed IN THE STORE say I have 14 days? We went around and around about this over and over and I finally told him I was going to call customer service and after about 10 minutes of my being on hold with them, he relented. Nothing makes me more upset than someone in a store making up a policy that does not exist and directly contradicts a legal document that is written and signed. In the end, and the ONLY reason this review got 2 stars instead of one was the lovely Octavia who ended up helping me after Raquel left. Octavia was wonderful to work with. I don't know if it's love or hate I'm feeling, but part of it is respect, I guess. Amidst a huge data charge wrangle with Verizon, which charges I don't believe are legit, Verizon "generously" offered to split them with me - which annoyed beyond measure - yet somehow I allowed them to get me to stay with them and get an auxiliary line while we try to resolve this. Be careful if you have Verizon MIFI. They insisted that they have a "splash screen" that notifies you when you exceed your 5MB allowance. I have never seen that "splash screen." Making me wonder if I'm better off with Virgin, who was written up a few months ago in the NYT as having a much less expensive alternative with no "catch." There's always a catch with cell phone companies. And yet I'm still a Verizon customer. read more

The display on my phone stopped working 2.5 weeks before I was eligible for my 2-year discount. I went into Verizon with low expectations, figuring they'd give me a hard time. Not so--the manager gave me the discount early and gave me an instant rebate (as opposed to making me mail it in), and the technician was able to retrieve my contacts from the broken phone and transfer them to the new one. It did take a while (and there is only so much to look at in the store), but it was free. I also give the people that work there some credit because it seemed like many of the customers I observed were very grumpy! read more

I have been to this place since the beginning. I have to say that the customer service sucks so bad it's crazy. As soon as you walk in you have to check yourself into this computer and wait to be assisted on god knows how long. I went there cause my phone was not working and waited 2 1/2 hours to get that fixed. When I left, no one told me about the parking situation. You only get 1 hour I guess free parking then you have to pay up. I guess you have to go in at exactly 9am, cause otherwise there is no chance for you to get any service. This store drives me nuts. Half the time they cant fix anything, or they make you just buy something new. I've had my phone replaced 3 times. They keep telling me its fixed, but after a couple of minutes it just goes back to doing the same thing. I have been a loyal VZW customer for many years now, and I have to remind myself to go to the Michigan Avenue location or call the airtime free # when I have an issue or want to buy a new phone or accessories- because every time I go into this location, they somehow irritate the p*ss out of me. In particular, there is an older black lady with short hair that works here (I think her name is Pat) and why she works in sales/customer service is BEYOND me.. she needs to be back away in an office without a telephone or any contact with customers. Terrible service and the employee didn't seem to know anything about my phone, my warranty, my plan, or what I wanted. After my phone randomly stopped working (didn't drop it or fry it, it just quit responding), I went to this Verizon location and had questions about how to replace my phone. The sales person wasn't interested in helping me replace my phone with the insurance policy I purchased through Verizon, and instead wanted to argue with me about why I should upgrade or switch phones completely. The rest of the staff seemed to be having pleasant conversations with others in the store, though, so maybe I just picked the bad apple of the bunch or someone on a bad day. read more

Who am I reviewing a Verizon store, seems so odd, wireless stores are never a good experience right ? You've either dropped your phone in the toilet or your beer the night before, or even more depressing lost it all together. I used to associate wireless stores with spending inordinate amounts of money and time. Though somehow I've have managed to get 6 Blackberry storms in the past 18mo's compliments of the generous employees at the North Ave store. Everyone here is friendly, knowledgeable, and though the service is speedy they take the time to re-set up all your email and contacts. They validate parking for 2hrs in their lot, which is enough time to do a little shopping at CB2 or hit up California Pizza Kitchen, and if you don't have a car they are located just across the street from the North Ave Redline stop. The service at this store is seriously worth switching wireless companys for if you aren't already on the Verizon train !! read more

I Hate leaving bad reviews because I work retail and I understand it's tough. BUT, employees did not greet us when we came in and overall were not friendly at all. I have had terrible experience with phone stores - who hasn't? You wait 30 minutes and then they just tell you no, not possible, wait 15 months, call this number instead (you know what I'm saying). Yesterday at this Verizon stores I walked out happy - it was such a nice surprise. Sharika was incredibly helpful, pleasant and super efficient. Scam artists, unethical, zero customer service, LIARS. RUN. RUN VERY FAR AWAY from this store. Giving them this one star on this review, pains me deeeeeeeply. I [unfortunately] visited this Verizon Wireless on 11/20/17 to get a new iPhone. At that time, the employee told me that they had a promotion that if you traded in your old iPhone, that they would give you free AirPods! However, they didn't have any in stock at the time, and it would take a few months (2 - 3) for them to be in stock and they would send them directly to my address on file. He gave me my receipt, said expect them at my door sometime in early 2018, and I was on my way. My mistake.....I trusted him. Once March came around, and I still hadn't received anything, I called Verizon and checked up on my order. They said that the AirPods were still in low inventory, and these types of trade-in deals had lower priority and I should be patient, I'd receive them in the next few months..... Then I'm shopping on Michigan Avenue and realize that I still have not received these AirPods, so I decide to stop in the flagship store on Michigan Ave. The associate was very helpful, pulled up my order, said it looked strange as though I had actually walked out with the AirPods in hand that day - which was DEFINITELY not true! - I'd told the world for months about how I was getting them in the mail, and I couldn't wait. They recommended I talk directly to a manager at the North Ave store about the issue. When I walk back into this store about my concern, they looked up my order, went to the back room for about 10 minutes, came back out and told me, "That's too bad. This order shows that you walked out the door with the AirPods in hand. There is nothing that we can do." In complete dismay, I asked to speak to the manager (Joseph), and very calmly and politely explained to him the situation, that I never received my AirPods that had been promised to me by one of his employees. As I described what happened to him, he looked uninterested, found the situation to be irrelevant, and was unapologetic. He said since he wasn't there for the conversation that he couldn't say what really happened (I'm your customer and I'm TELLING YOU WHAT HAPPENED.) And he told me the employee that helped me no longer worked at this location so he couldn't speak to him about it.....(although he currently works at the Wicker Park store and apparently a cell phone company can't use a PHONE to CALL another store to inquire about the issue????) Again....I explained that his employee told me that they were going to take months to get and they'd come in the mail, and he said if that were the case, I would have an order number on my receipt, but since I didn't then I must have walked out with them (not sure how, because the store manager does remember that yes, the AirPods were out of stock in November/December due to the holiday demands....so please tell me how I walked out with them???) Regardless of common sense.....it gets worse....he asks me why I didn't ask for an order number when I left the store that day, which I asked.......HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW HOW THEIR INTERNAL ACCOUNTING SYSTEM WORKS FOR OUT THE DOOR ORDERS AND DELIVERY ORDERS AND TO ASK FOR AN ORDER NUMER?!?!?!?! THE EMPLOYEE TOLD ME THEY'D BE SENT TO MY HOUSE AND WERE LISTED ON MY RECEIPT AS FREE FROM A TRADE-IN. I trusted him. My mistake.....clearly. The manager was rude, unprofessional, and refused to solve my problem. He told me that since I had "waited too long to come in about the issue, it was too late, there was nothing he could do. All he could offer me was $20 off a new set of AirPods." HA! IF YOU HAND OVER ANY OF YOUR DEVICES TO THEM FOR SOMETHING IN RETURN********WATCH OUT********* THIS IS A CON. Clearly this employee took my AirPods with him in his pocket and this store manager could not care less. This store and their store manager (Joseph) DO NOT care about solving customer service concerns. They do not care about ethical behavior. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. Thankfully, Verizon corporate solved the problem in about 15 minutes post this extremely unfortunate interaction. As someone who has carried Verizon Wireless service for over ten years and has never had a late payment, Verizon corporate quickly and kindly solved my issue. They apologized for my experience with this store on the day that I was scammed, and for this most recent day, when the manager was rude, unprofessional, and worthless. I give this actual site for Verizon 4 stars, just as though they seem to be always busy, and always understaffed. However, the staff is always friendly, and very knowledgable. If I had to give Verizon stars, they'd get 5 stars. I've had about 3 different cell phone carriers, and by far, they EXCEED every expectation that I have had for a carrier. 2.5, actually This place was fine. Everything moved quickly, and the guy who waited on me was easy on the eyes. One problem... I chose the phone that I wanted. I was told that it was $250, with a $50 rebate. Also, it came with a holster (ummm...I'm not a 53 year old accountant, but thanks), and earpiece (circa 1999), and a car charger (I don't have a car). I specifically asked them "Hey, online it's $200, why isn't it that price here?" I was told that it is $200 after the rebate. Whatevs. I paid for the phone and went on my way. Cut to later that evening.... I am playing with my phone, getting acquainted with it. I checked something out on the receipt and I noticed...that the phone is only $200, and the other stuff (holster, charger, earpiece) cost me $50! WTF! They specifically told me that those things "came" with the phone, and that the phone itself cost $250! Grrrrrrrrr.... Anywho, I went to the store at Michigan and Illinois, and they refunded my money, no problem, and also told me that I am still eligible for the rebate. Problem solved! Thanks Verizon! read more

Walked in there about 45 minutes ago, hoping someone could replace my glass screen protector on my iPhone. I had already purchased the replacement protector so I was asking for a favor, really. Carmen helped me right away and wouldn't accept any compensation for it. While I waited a few minutes, another employee approached to me to make sure I was being helped. I first graded Verizone with 5 starts back in January 2011: My rep Eric knew I was nervous to switch the droid phone and he explained each of the ones I wanted to look at and let me know that the model I had picked out might not meet my needs. (Keep in mind this was a slightly more expensive model! He didn't upsell me, he took in to accountant what I needed- huge to me! ) Once we realized that I was a few months away from the upgrade- they took care of it- as I've been a very loyal long term customer. Score! Then, Eric sat through showing me how to upload applications: Facebook, email, Twitter and helped me connect it with my blue tooth in my car. Again, I know if I have any questions, Verizon always takes care of its customers. Again, I didn't blink when they told me I had to sign a two year contract- why would I want to switch? I know that every end of their customer service is well handled and their reps are ALWAYS polite and willing to make the customer happy. I wish I could say the same for my cable and Internet service- can you guys get in that market? Update: March 2013 Back when I wrote this review in 2011, I had a great experience. Fast forward to two years later, countless new managers and employees have changed. The few times I have come into the store, I don't recognize the new faces. I went in because my now two year old droid apparently is a dinosaur phone and my plan was up for an upgrade. Watch the vultures come in! My phone had to be "cleaned out" because the software wasn't working (hmmm... trying to sell me a NEW phone perhaps). After over an hour, my phone was "fixed". Until of course I tried to use it and found all of my contacts there- with EMAILS, not phone numbers beside them. The other great part- this was the 2nd time the rep pulls me aside to tell me that they have a "side" business that they want to tell me about. The first time, the guy tried to "sell" me his marketing business (this guy no longer works there) and this woman had some similiar story. Professional? I went back the next day- to spend another HOUR while they refused to tell me what went wrong other than I needed to tell them: 1. How many of my contacts were lost? (really???) 2. What dates did I put these contacts in? Nevermind that these contacts were ALL backed up through google. When I stated my displeasure- I was told that "my contacts might never be restored" and that was from the Dilbert looking manager! I also found out that they sold my brother an Iphone two months earlier- without Iphone insurance- they gave him non smart phone insurance- great work, right? I will take my business to the store on North and Division- I have only had GREAT experiences since they aren't completed connected (they are an independent store) with this mess of an office! read more

North & Clybourn location in Chicago has Terrible, lying service!! They are scam artists!! One of their reps transferred my five accounts to a business account, but did it incorrectly and one numb didn't transfer. Also, had my Biz address wrong so I never caught her mistake. Been to the store numerous times for hours talking to their LYING staff for over six months. Store mgr said he would correct through their DM Jenny, but now I'm getting collection calls for a bill I don't owe. Six months of the MGR lying straight to my face. Today, I switched to Sprint! Treated me great!! $700 in credits and free phones. So glad to be rid of Lying Verizon who could care less abt customers. Only getting you out the store. read more

I switched to ATT because of this store. Employee at this store opened up a second account under my name without my knowledge, and put me on a 2G per month plan. I had hundreds of dollars of charges for data transfer over my plan. After this, I switched to AT&T and only got resolution of issue after I threated to report Verizon to the State Attorney General. The employee who did this was fired, and the store manager was reprimanded. AT&T took care of me. If AT&T is not an option for you, then stay away form this store. read more

This is basically Part 2 of my St. Patty's Day Weekend Verizon Fight To The Death...(aka fight until i get my friggin' phone fixed)... After having no luck with another Verizon store in the area I wasn't to excited to try start the battle a 2nd time, but the battery on my phone was completely dead and the charger port had broken leaving the phone "unchargable" and something had to be done. At first the technician stated that due to the insurance I have on the phone and the nature of the problem I'd probably have to pay $50 to get a replacement (which I JUST had done 3 months prior). Once I told her this problem happened with my last phone she immediately called the manager over who replaced my phone free of charge. The only bad part was I still had to wait until Tuesday before it would arrive as the overnight shipments didn't go out over the weekend. So to ease my apparently distress one of the other technicians (his name was actually Angel...fitting, no?) offered to take the battery from my phone and put it into his so it could charge while I waited and at least I'd have some functionality for the weekend. Not wanting to sit in the Verizon store for 2 hours, he also let me borrow his battery until mine was ready. In the end not only does this Verizon store make it easy as pie to access due to their validated parking lot, the staff there was very accommodating, and Best Buy's within walking distance so you can play Guitar Hero while you wait for your shit to get fixed... I have been a customer of Verizon's for 11 years and this store exemplifies why I choose to stay with Verizon as my cell phone carrier. I go in there today borderline frantic because I am traveling for work tomorrow to a very unsavory city and all the sudden my phone is deciding to do NOTHING. It just has a dead battery sign on the screen and that is it. After taking it to the store I come to find out that the dead battery sign is basically its epitaph. Due to my seemingly erratic behavior the guys that work there manage to get me a brand new replacement phone and out of the store in under an hour. YES! Verizon has some of THE BEST customer service in the world. No really, they do. I have never had an issue that they have not been able to resolve and they always put their customers first. Went here on Black Friday to upgrade my phone and add a line. Waited about 10-15 minutes for assistance. David assisted us and I can't say enough good things about the service we received from him. He kept us informed and advised on additional discounts and promotions. Because of this we also received free tablets. His attention to detail showed when he was setting the phones and tablets up. The time and effort he put into putting the screen protectors on was amazing. Exceptional service and a very pleasant experience. He even brought us some water while we waited. read more

This review is about GREAT CALL & Jitterbug cell phones. As the carrier, Verizon is excellent (and why I gave 2 stars). As service providers and sellers of the actual phones, Great Call is not good. They advertise as "easy, simple" and are touted for seniors. Well, as a senior, I gotta tell you It Ain't So. The phones require frequent recharging (14-20% battery drain in sleep mode for about 10 hours) and are far from "intuitive" to operate. The instruction manual is OK but you need a search engine to find exactly what you're looking for. (I finally put tabs on the little pages.) As if that's not bad enough, the billing system is one of those pre-pay systems where you pay for the month in advance and if you cancel there is no refund - not exactly what's implied in the ads. Good thing is that there is no contract. One other thing - do not expect Great Call to unlock the phone even though this is a federal rule that says they must; this means it's difficult to switch to another service if you want to keep the clunky phone. read more

Eventhough he couldve made an exception, which they usually do, he didn't. My card does not work inside my office but he still wouldn't take it back. I went in expecting the worst and hoping for the best. Turns out, it was a pretty A-OK experience. First - This location is crazy-busy. Its in the middle of the shopping epicenter of Lincoln Park AND there's a parking lot... what do you expect? Make sure to add plenty of time for your cell phone shopping because you may have to wait a few minutes to be helped. Second - I would go in having a solid idea of the phone or blackberry you want to purchase. Not for nothing, but I was pretty solid on the idea of buying a Curve, but the Verizon guy tried to give me the hard sell on the Storm. What part of "no touch screens" didn't he understand? Le sigh. Third - Speedy set-up by guys who know what they're doing. My Curve works like a dream and had no set-up issues. So its not exactly in-and-out service, but hey, I'll wait around a bit for stellar cell phone set-up. read more

Went into this store today after shattering my iphone 5 (refer to my other reviews if you want to see who NOT to go to if that happens to you). Prior to stopping in, I had spent over an hour on the phone with Chelse at the Verizon call center who was very helpful and was patient in explaining how to transfer an upgrade my dad had available on his account to my account and we went through all the necessary steps to let me be an authorized user on his account. Chelse even let me know that I had a $200 credit, in addition to the update, so my phone would essentially be free minus any taxes, etc. I went into the store around 10am and was the only customer in there for about 5 employees. Someone walked up to me (I believe he name was Rene) and asked my name, and then added me to the list. Don't get why they had to make a list when I was the only person there, but I get they have policies and procedures, so I get it. He told me to "check out the iphones, droids, tablets, etc." even though I thought I made it pretty clear I was there for the iphone 6, like I stated when I walked in the door. Someone came over to help me (don't remember his name but my receipt says PABONPA under "rep" for what it's worth). I gave him my info and explained what I was there for. He took my info and said he would be right back. After about 10 minutes he came back and rudely informed me that I was breaking the rules and couldn't get an upgrade because I was "piggy backing" of someone else's account. Maybe so, but I was using my own father's account (on which I was an authorized user) and my dad and agreed to extend his contract for the required 2 years. He also had the upgrade available that he didn't want to use, so he was passing it along to someone who did. I am failing to see the problem here but apparently it was a big deal for these guys. He even told me he could '"lose his job" for giving me the phone. When I told him this was not the information I was told on the phone, he then came back with the phone. He then proceeded to tell me that my dad's bill would go up another 20/month. When I asked why, he told me it was because we were upgrading the phone. I explained again that we were infact not doing that and he then launched into another story about how we were "piggy backing", but proceeded to continue with the upgrade and went to the back again. I was then standing there alone while the three other people working just sort of stood there. The first man I spoke to (Rene) came over and asked how everything was going. I told him very bluntly that things were NOT going well and that I was either lied to over the phone or was being lied to here. He looked extremely uncomfortable and walked away, the woman behind the counter said they were just "following policy". At no point during this exchange however did anyone offer to help, ask if they could be of assistance or explain the policy to me - they all just went about their day and provided me with that rude answer. In the end, I got my phone and they switched sim cards so it works, however none of my pictures/music/apps transferred over so I have to call and get that dealt with, but I would rather call than have to deal with them again. I called Verizon back and worked with Chelse again who confirmed my dad's bill wouldn't go up, that the guys in the store were out of line and apologized for the bad experience. I'm glad Verizon still has a few decent people working for them and haven't sworn off the company altogether but this store... pass. read more

After my first unsavory experience with this location, I blamed myself. After my second experience at this store, I wanted to change providers completely. When I went in to get help for my touch screen phone acting up, nobody could provide an answer or test my phone or give me a new one. The only solution was "take out the battery." When I said "that doesn't always work, what do I do then," their answer was..."well, it should work." SERIOUSLY?! So I thought they must know more than me, and I left, ready to take out the battery the next time my crappy phone froze up on me. Well, the next time it happened was in an Ohare terminal. And after putting the battery back in, my screen went black with crazy colored lines on it and finally broke for good. I really wish the first Verizon rep had taken me seriously, otherwise I would not have been without a phone for 4 days in LA. So I went back, ready to walk out with a new phone. I tried to explain my issue to the man who greeted me. He rudely interrupted me, asked me "what my actual problem was," and pointed in the direction of the "tech guy." Turns out the tech guy doesn't know too much. He couldn't tell me why my phone broke, said it must have been my fault, and told me the only solution was to buy a new one. And because you couldn't see the screen, there was no way I could get my contacts back. I was devastated. So I went to a different store. They provided me with several answers, including the software issue that my phone was experiencing. They were sympathetic, helped me get a replacement phone because I had insurance, AND got my contacts back. I don't know if it's ignorance or laziness or a mixture of both that makes the North Halsted Verizon store so terrible, but I do know that had I not gone there the first and second time, I wouldn't have thought so poorly of Verizon in the first place. I work in customer service, and had I treated anyone as terribly as I was treated there, I would have been fired. Really, get it together. read more

After being on the phone with a Verizon Rep for about 15 minutes - of which he in detail told me about a certain program that I was eligible for - he told me to head to the nearest Verizon store (which was this one) and would notate my account so that I can take part of the offer he told me. I left work early to get to the store and encountered a wait, which was not an issue, and completely didn't mind. Finally when I was called up by an employee I let him know the situation I had and that I wanted to take part of the offer that was relayed to me over the phone. He said he coudlnt find any notes on it, but at least was nice about it, and said he would bring over his manager to help me out. This manager did not give a #))@ about me as a customer, my needs, or the fact that I have been with Verizon for about 16 years. (Several phone lines at that) Told me that he would try to find the best solution for me, which included me buying a brand new $500.00 phone. I went here to possibly change my service to them but I felt I was here for too long without being helped. I did put my name in to be helped but I feel that the customer service was too slow. Good for them they seem busy but I think I'm going to stay with my old carrier :) read more

I dread coming to this store but its the closest/biggest one and better then going downtown. most if not all of the employees are idiots who just spew crap at you to buy things. when something is wrong with your phone they find one possibility and say that thats it and nothing else is the problem. now i like Verison as a phone company i really do but the stores are just BAD...if your looking for a new phone just do the research yourself before coming into the store, cuz they will try and make you buy a phone that you dont want...or they wont know jack shit about the phones except whats on the post card next to the phone. read more

Switched to verizon from t-mobile 2 weeks ago after having t-mobile for 8 years, and have had more issues in the last 2 weeks with Verizon than the 8 years with t-mobile. Bought a new iPhone 5s that just went blue a week after use (not Verizon's fault, but frustrating none the less). When I went in to exchange the wait time was an hour and a half. Representative was helpful when I was exchanging the broken phone. When I first purchased the phone the representative told me the activation fee would be waived, then showed up on the bill. Customer service said they couldn't do anything, and that I would have to talk to the specific store to get it cleared up. When I went in the representative told me that I needed to take it up with the specific representative who offered the free activation (not there), and was very unhelpful about other inquiries. The phone signal is definitely better than t-mobile, I just hope there are not any more issues so I don't have to go back to this store again. read more

After 10+ years as a Verizon customer, my experience with Alexandra today is making me rethink my phone service. I understand that stores have certain policies in place regarding refunds and exchanges, but when unusual circumstances arise, I would hope that employees would be trained to offer or seek approval for exceptions - not the case here. I purchased a SanDisk SD card for my new Samsung Galaxy s5 at the encouragement of the store associate. After using the card for four months, my phone stopped recognizing it. All of my photos were lost. When visiting the store to see if something could be done, they recommended I take it to Best Buy to see if the Geek Squad could recover anything (which, I might add, gave the Geek Squad guy a good laugh that no one at Verizon could handle it). He told me, verbatim, that "it is a common occurrence that SanDisk cards fail in Samsung phones." He highly recommended that I get a Samsung-brand card to replace the SanDisk if I didn't want to face the same situation again. I returned to the Verizon store and relayed my findings. What did they offer? Another SanDisk card. Oh, or I could just buy anything in the store with my exchange credit. Well, I don't need anything else, and I don't want another card that is going to fail (all you need to do is a quick Google search to find that it is a common occurrence). Alexandra told me that a refund was absolutely not an option (even though they sold me a faulty device), and that the Geek Squad's information was "just one guy's opinion." Really? Pretty sure having numerous customers with the same issue is a fact, not an opinion, Alexandra. I attempted to call the manager, Carmen, to discuss my situation, but was put on hold for five minutes after which I hung up. Terrible service. I had a broken phone and their online sign in sent me a text to verify my identity. So i knew i had to go in store. First they sent me around the block to get my phone fixed not telling me i needed to file an insurance claim to get the special rate. When I came back they did not help me file a claim but rather gave me an automated call line. Nathan and Uriel did nothing for me as I struggled to properly fill out the claim. the automated line was even worse, hanging up on me constantly. the web form was impossible to fill out using common street terms. I filed probably 7 claims because the web form isn't clear. Massive headache is the exact opposite of what I need when i already don't have a phone. Steer clear of Verizon and their third party insurance. Head to the T-Mobile next door, save some cash and headache read more
