My 80 yr old mother in law needed a sim card. Verizon corporate and customer service stated that all she needed to do was go into a store and get one. Mary (the asst. manager/manager) would not provide her one. She then accused me of threatening her with legal action. I did not. I then had Verizon customer service call and have a joint call with "Mary". Mary again started lying about how I threatened her. I said I will come and and we can chat with her manager. She then said I was threatening her again and hung up (again). Luckily I had verizon customer service on the line and they sent me a confirming email saying in part Mr. Richard just only stating they will just go to the store to speak with a manager to clear up the situation about his mother in law who waited almost an hour just to get a physical sim card but the store did not provide."Mr. Richard did not threat [sic] Mary and Mary was the one who was so rude and dropped the call." They (not sure if Mary or not) also told this 80 yr old women that she needed to cancel her order (that she already made online) and order the phone through their story. I think the actual manager needs to contact me. I will be seeing this through (not a threat Mary just a statement of intent). Verizon's behavior at this store is beyond unacceptable. read more

I would give this place a -0 stars. The ladies in here were very rude and prejudice. I have my daughter she got a phone out of there. She's 18 is her first phone and the ladies took her through all kind of stuff. She ordered her phone online and was just going to pick it up. The ladies treated her as if she was a scam artist, and trying to scheme and scam saying the card was not valid she had the ID and everything they end up canceling her order just to resubmit it and do it in person. I asked for corporate number and they wouldn't give it to me. I asked to speak with a manager And a lady came out laughing saying she can't help me. They were very rude and disrespectful. Sooooo, let me go above and beyond with my complaints because no one at the store here off Panama in Bakersfield ca just off the 99frwy. Looked like they wanted to be there or enjoyed what they do. Sooo we have beeen going here to this location for years me personally a hand full of times because hey I'm not a customer " I know better" but I have never had a bad experience but my wife has been a customer forever.. The fact that Verizon " Now" is charging to transfer your info when you buy a new phone with Verizon and are a faithful customer of Verizon for many years . Regardless if you buy it online at Verizon. Whatever or another Verizon store etc I have never heard of being charged anything to get the info from an old Verizon phone to a new Verizon phone lol . Cool no biggie I guess any amount is ridiculous but 45 or so is wow ! Ok so before that the initial person " cough" a guy the first line of contact and not busy with anyone or doing anything says no greeting or even looks and by the time he looks up just a weird blank stare .. man am I in a comedy scene .. is John kin-yo-nez.. from what would you do tv show playing with us ? The no emotions from Renee F. Pretty robotic .. and because of the compassionate person I am I won't put the last name .. was bizarre to deal with. So here's the kicker absolutely no effort care no hi how can I help you with anything to make it seem at least that you want to be there and do what you're making money and signed a contract and went on an interview to do? But knowing any if not all or most sales you get commission or incentive aka more money or perks the more you sale ummm effort? But then you choose to be in a customer service industry and for a huge company that I know dang well makes you go be trained way more than needed regularly to help motivate and be decent at what you chose to do ? Hmmm but at the very least no attitudes please or smart mouth comments lol especially when hey as a company maybe managers fault or basically no control of yours you still know your customers are being taken advantage of . And not happy so at least bite their ear and make it enjoyable that you're making them grab ankles and take it .. was the complaint ridiculous enough ? Was I clear with my complaint ? Still not as ridiculous as your employees .. if I was the customer and if it was mine or the one I was with paying out of their pocket .. I wouldn't allow it .. oh I forgot all that said .. what we paid for was a waste of time cause the process was just initiated lol and wasn't seen through. It completed after we were sent away and treated like a red headed step child and just had to hope and pray that there was no issues after it took an additional hour after we left to complete? These guys got me to switch my number saying I could keep my old number and will be ready in 2 hours. 9 days, 4 hours a day on phone calls and being transfered... someone finally tells me they can't transfer my number and my old provider said Verizon took it so they can't get it back. They lost my number of 18 years. And they won't compensate me in any ways. Their equipment is top notch. Their customer service is now one of the worst in the history of customer services. My in-laws, who are 81 and 78, bought new phones from this Verizon locations. On the initial visit the customer service rep didn't help them get their phones set up, just tried to sell the screen savers and phone cases. When they said they weren't interested they were shoo'd out. They went back to get their pics transferred over a few days later and they told them to go to the Apple store if they needed help. They are old people. Sad that someone wouldn't help them. read more

Went in to do some changes to my account, and the saleswoman Amanda went above and beyond for me. I had to make changes and was considering disconnecting because my bill was so high. I was fearing I'd have to go down to a basic flip phone, but Amanda offered me some great options, allowing me to keep my S4 and my service. I've been with Verizon over 9 years now and am glad I can stay! I look forward to trying the new Edge program later this year, too. I will be back to see Amanda in June, if not sooner, for all my cellular needs. Truly refreshing to see such great customer service, and I'll be telling all my Tehachapi friends to go see her in the future. read more

Howie was amazing!!! He went above and beyond to help me with a new iphone. He stayed late past his off time and made sure I had exactly what I wanted. It was such a mess being on my sisters account and we kept having to call her and call her. Most people would have given up but Howie persevered! No one offered to help me and I stood by myself for a long time. I heard this very polite voice behind me say, "May I help you?" I turned around to see this handsome asian guy. He was so polite and helpful and patient. No salesperson ever will compare to him, not even the guy who sold me my new car. So, I have a new phone to go with my new car. Thanks a million to Howie. First of all, I've been a Verizon customer for 5 years, and usually have a good experience. I'm fairly knowledgeable with smartphones. I recently went into this store to get a SIM card for a used phone I bought. (My last phone needed one, and I went to a non-corporate store, bought one, installed it, and registered my phone myself. Easy, no problem.) I go in, and the tiny skinny brunette girl helps me. I ask for a new SIM card for my phone, and she asks "what size?" I wasn't aware that there were different sizes, and assumed she probably knew more than me. I respond, "I didn't realize SIM cards were in various sizes." "oh, yes, many sizes," she responds, "let me show you some." She goes in back, and 2 minutes later comes back, carrying an assortment of SD cards. This was the beginning of a long ordeal. A long story short; she didn't know how to install a SIM card into my phone, she walked into the back at least 6 times (I'm guessing to consult someone who knew what they were doing), when she encountered any problem- she blamed the phone, and even attempted to keep the phone when it didn't recognize the card- after she had put it in backwards. After almost half an hour, I took the card, put it in, reset it, in about a minute. I am a patient man, and will usually forgive small mistakes. But this was ridiculous! This store has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. We were not so much as looked at for the first 15 minutes we were in it. Half of the associates completely disappeared after they put our names on the "waiting list". I use that term loosely. It is a waiting list for people they don't know, but if you are friends of the employees, you are golden...no lines for you! If you don't know them, be peppered to wait...and wait...and wait...and wait. Gilbert, the manager, seemed to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. He did not like it when I called him out for helping people that came in after we did. I promise to avoid this store like the plague.
