This is an update on review I gave AT&T, land line,last week. As I had mentioned,multiple calls on cell and laptop with no results.....apt. to re-fix land line over a week away(for today Mon. 1/30. A repairman showed up yesterday and remedied problem,again at box a block away. Now when I had mentioned shoddy service I in no way refered to the "boots on the ground". These folks do a wonderful,fast job and most likely get an ear full from the consumer.Because of the service they provide, and I know they're stretched pretty thin, I'll stay with AT&t and keep my landline. read more

Don't let their door to door liars and scammers fool you into switching over to att fiber. They offered a "deal" and free to sign up no charge for installation. then i was billed over $200 for technician fees... when i called they said they would cover that fee never received credit for it on my account even after numerous agents saying they would take care of it... after i made my monthly payment they shut down my internet... horrible customer service was on the phone for hours getting the run around and kept getting transferred over and over but no one did anything to fix or help me get my service back... horrible experience... read more

1 gig fiber, cannot even stream 1 tv, this is the worst. 25mbs used to run everything , 1 gig is fraud.

Much better than Spectrum. AT&T is your go to entertainment. Not inexpensive, but honest and up front unlike Spectrum.

We changed our service from AT&T to Spectrum about a month ago because our connection was so poor and finally after no internet service of three days we made the change. This was not the end of it, AT&T messed up our billing. They first indicated we had a credit but then charged us 33 bucks. When we called to clarify we had to go through three callers before we were helped by an English speaking person. The customer service alone makes it worth the change. We're never dealing with a company that doesn't have English speaking representatives again, this is one of the questions we will be asking before we commit. Worst experience ever!! read more

Be warned of At&T Fiber bad business services. We signed up for a deal, 500gig speed and 1 phone line for $130 a month. They came and installed all their equipment. Got us up and running. The next day At&T called and said they no longer offer that deal and would need to upgrade our speed to 1000gig, this would be for an extra charge each month. I said no. They said the only thing they could do is downgrade our speed to 300gig a month. We've already cancelled our other service or I would go right back. read more

AT&T absolutely SUCKS. My email stopped working 2 YEARS AGO when they did some changes at their end when they merged with Yahoo. I've been told multiple times that had to escalate the call and would have someone call back in a few minutes. I'M STILL WAITING. I called again today and they want to charge me to fix their screw up. Their lack of agents who speak English without an Asian accent that makes them very difficult to understand is another big negative. I've had Uverse for years- throughout which time they have come up with some really creative ways to overcharge me. Their customer service is spotty.. sometimes you can talk to someone local and other times you talk to someone overseas whom you can barely understand and whose job I'm convinced it is to get you to the point where you pull your hair out 10 strands at a time. This summer, since my children were home during the day we saw our bill shoot up from $70 a month to around $150. I will be checking into disconnecting ASAP and going with Spectrum. Don't give these folks your time or money. I predict it will only end in high bills and frustration, as it has with us. read more

HORRIBLE service, my internet has been out since July 17th, on the 19th, they scheduled an appointment, 2-months later, I have a 6 foot hole in my yard, the sidewalk is dug up, my grass is destroyed, there's a 4 foot pile of gravel in my driveway, and NO one has been back for 2 weeks. Worse NO ONE at ATT knows whats going on. they just keep passing me to people who cant help. I have been documenting the conversations and created a file. Next stop. FILING a COMPLAINT in court. Much like everyone on the east side of Bakersfield (and probably every where else in the free world) I'm having a problem with my household internet (and have been for a while). And as you I've guessed it....... I have AT&T Internet. I called the other day to have a technician scheduled to come check my service and fix (it never really gets fixed though does it?!) what's wrong and I was lucky enough that they had an opening between 8:30am and 9:30am for this morning (just a couple days after making the call to schedule). So I get off work at 7am and I come home to wait. And I wait. And I wait some more and now it's 9:31am and I get a text apologizing...... "We're sorry. Our tech is running late. Do you still want to keep this appointment? Reply KEEP or CHANGE or CANCEL". Not so bad right???? WRONG. They have a new feature so when a tech is scheduled you can "Track" the tech to see if things are going as planned. While tracking the technician at about 8:45am I get an alert stating they were running behind and the tech would be arriving between 9:30am - 10:30am...... so I get online and start texting with an AT&T rep about this "snafu" and the rep assured me that he, "Tony", has spoken with the dispatch supervisor and my technician is running on time and would be here no later than 9:30am........ B U L L S H I T !!!! So back to my text message that came at 9:31am. Shortly after I'm texting the AT&T rep who is assuring me that the tech is in route and would be at my house in a few minutes I get a call from another AT&T rep who says he's a supervisor and is assuring me himself that the technician would be at my house in 14 minutes. That was at 9:46am...... it's now 10:06am (20 minutes later) and still no technician. My bill is paid on time every month in full..... they never have a problem getting my bill to me on time and getting their money but when it comes to standing behind their product and keeping their word about scheduled appointments they fall so short it's alarming. Can anyone out there give me the name of a company who actually does what they says and follow through with word. Who has a good product and isn't ripping you off? Let me know...... I'm so annoyed with having to deal with automative voices and not being able to get ahold of a human.

Unprofessional tech came out to "install" my internet. The tech was such in a hurry that he did not realize, we did not have any phone jack in LR. He updated place on existing jack in kitchen. AT&T wanted me to run internet cord from kitchen, through hallway, into LR. When I asked for them to install jack in LR, they wanted to charge me $150 to fix something they should have caught when they first came out. Bad experience before even getting service. I will not recommend att internet services to anyone! I have been paying for internet service and am not able to get connection. I have been calling customer service for the last three months. And still cannot get them to fix this connectivity issue fixed. They either do a box reset or try to schedule A technician to come and take a look at the box. At &t is the absolute worse company to do business with. I have been a loyal customer for many years and having direct tv as well . After I cancelled directtv in Jan. At &t started to bill me for it again in June. I did not ask for it nor did I even know it was on . They decided to charge me 498$ for services I never asked for nor did I use. So then they decided to shut off my internet unless I paid for the direct tv. I have been calling this company since July to remedy the situation . After countless hours being transferred being out on hold over several months this situation was still not resolved even though I was told it was and my account charge would be reversed. We had AT&T U-verse internet for about 8 months or so and it was quite literally one of the most agonizing experiences with a business I've ever had in my life. Their customer service was horrible. You can't get anyone on the phone without waiting at least 30 minutes usually. If you finally do get someone, they usually won't be able to help you and you will 9 times out of 10 get stuck in an endless loop of transferred calls, before likely getting hung up on and having to start over. We only had u-verse internet through them, and our bill was different every month. Literally, every month. We were paying around $50 for 12mbps of internet, but never honestly got more than 1mbps, if that. We would constantly have random and unexplainable charges on our bill; these would be listed as "service fee" or "equipment fee," yet had nothing new done to our internet service, and would usually run us anywhere from an additional $10-20 every time. It took us contacting the better business bureau just for them to answer the phone and take a real look at our account and realize that we were being wrongfully charged pretty much every month. On top of that, our internet NEVER worked. It turns out we were too far away from their service box to get service. However, rather than come forward and be honest about it, they continued to overcharge us every month without explanation. There was one week that they had a different technician out every day, and every day the new technician had no idea what he was there for. They also charged us for these "visits." When all was said and done, they ended up realizing they owed us money, and we switched to Spectrum instead. (We now pay about $40 for over 50mbps and it's never slow). read more

HIGHWAY ROBBERY~ This review is regarding the corporation. I have been a loyal customer of TUverse for almost six years. I was late making a payment and had my service suspended. The same day I went online and paid my bill. When I received my next bill I found a $49.00 reconnection fee. $49.00 for someone to press a button. Other companies might charge $16.00 or even $20.00 but nearly $50 which is the cost of an entire month of Internet. Needless to say, this is the last month I will be using their service. This company as a whole doesnt deserve a one start rate, as that is giving them credit for something they never do. The cable is bunk. Our set up has never worked to its full potential. We have had several techs out. And not one has addressed the right issue. They lie about what they promise as well. We were offerd 300 in visa gift cards. We never got them. A warning to anyone using DIRECTV. We canceled our service because we moved out of state. They told me my bill was paid in full. Without even sending me a bill they sent me to collections. I will never never use DIRECTV again. As soon as I can I will be canceling my AT&T services as well. I've been with them for over 20 years and this is how they treat me? Extremely disappointed in AT&T called got discounts excited only $59 for Internet and phone. Call back for more information first I failed to tell me about one year contract. The $99 installation fee. He straight up told me installation was free even asked about it three times free free free. And lied about the price. To start, it took almost 2 months to finally get our service installed! Then the plan they suggested was 90% infomercial channels, and the "Great 100 mbps" wifi would barely get through a facebook video without buffering. Then our service would go out on their behalf, and we would have to wait a week to get a tech out. So in short, I would not recommend this company as a provider! read more

I just moved and moved my house Internet with me. Not long afterward att started emailing me about returning my router. I would call and they would say I will take care of it but then I would get another call and email. Five calls later and promises I come home to find my internet shut off. I call and thirty minutes later I get told it was basically my fault. Canceling direct tv now too. read more

Uverse cable/ internet is horrible. Trying to get a hold of someone in customer service is basically impossible. Staff is rude on the phone and not very helpful. Every night my cable would turn off and turn back on and have to restart the process. The whole experience with them was terrible. Never got a confirmation email about anything unless I demanded it. I moved into a new house about a month ago, in an area that was served by U-Verse; the area I moved from was a mountain area that wasn't served by U-Verse, so I used a satellite ISP service. It was OK for the most part, service problems every so often but not a regular occurrence. When I moved to the new area I called AT&T to get landline service (couldn't keep my old number because the area I moved to was a different prefix) and the rep I talked to asked if I wanted broadband service too, and after some discussion I signed up for U-Verse (it was cheaper than my old ISP). Bad, bad decision. I've had the service less than a month and it's already gone dead twice. And when the high-speed service goes dead, so does your telephone service, so I had to use my cellphone to call AT&T to get it fixed. I routed to some call center in Eastern Europe--the woman's accent was so thick I could barely understand her--and when I finally got her to understand what my problem was, she said she'd try some "fixes" from her end--meanwhile my cellphone charges (at 25 cents a minute) are adding up. Finally after about 20 minutes with none of the "fixes" working, she said she'd schedule a repairman to come out. He came out the next day, fiddled around for about an hour and left, saying everything was OK. A week later the same thing happened AGAIN. I called AT&T on my cellphone AGAIN and got Madame Dracula AGAIN.This time the "fixes" she did from her end worked and the service was up and running. Meanwhile, my cellphone (still at 25 cents a minute) racked up another 20 minutes or so of charges. Tomorrow will mark one week since it went dead the last time. I have a funny feeling I'll be speaking to Madame Dracula again. If you're thinking of getting U-Verse, I would strongly recommend against it. My old satellite service cost a bit more, but it was more reliable and--despite AT&T's claim that U-Verse is fiberoptic and much faster than everything else--usually faster. If you have a landline AT&T is OK, but for high-speed I'd stay as far away from U-Verse as humanly possible. read more

Worst customer service ever. I have been calling at&t about my internet running extremely slow. Only giving me a $15 credit since its been a week with very very slow internet. Another thing they will be sending a technician to my house to see what's the issue. I can not stand this. AT&T deserves NO stars! Have had this service for 6 months and my reasoning for holding on to it for so long is because I didn't want to have to go back to Bright House and was told over and over again that new equipment was being installed and by November everything would change. Well supposedly new equipment is up and running but I'm still running (or should I say crawling) at a download speed of 0.67mbps and upload of a whopping 0.34mbps. Reminds me of the dial-up days. Called for quote. A week later get a recorded call to confirm installation ! What I never signed up. Oh gets better I call to cancel and I get grilled with questions like what's my PIN number. What's my account number. I'm upset as I was on hold 10 min only to get transferred and hold another 15 min. Asked same questions. I'm mad now and say I never signed up. I don't have an account or pin. Guy days can't look into my account so needs to call me to verify it's me. I'm furious now. He calls and verifies than I'm on hold again. I hang up so mad I'm running late for an appointment I hang up and another AT&T guy calls. I'm so mad I tell him cancel your mistake I'm done. Hang up first guy calls back and again on hold 10 min. My wife told me that she wanted to switch to fiber optic internet service. She said that it was supposed to be better than Spectrum. She did not mention it was AT&T. I would have never agreed. But, she switched anyway. Now our home internet is complete garbage. It barely works. And, she signed a contract. AT&T sucks. Always has. Always will. I'm at a loss. We bought a boaster. Payed the cable and Internet bill back in November for December because my family and I were going on a vacation out of the state. They turned off the service today because of "lack Of payment" and when we called to get this fixed they told us that in order to talk to a representative we needed to pay up. What A bunch of crap! We have had constant problems for at least the last six months. We have had U-verse technicians replace the modem (twice now), troubleshoot and then say they find nothing wrong, and I am fed up. I think we all should cancel U-verse at the same time to force them to fix whatever the heck is wrong with the system. I also think they should have to pay customers for dropped signals, which happens four or five times an hour, no matter what channel is on.
