I will be switching service as soon as Dish gets there service back online. For the last 4 days I haven't been able to get to my account or speak to anyone because of a system problem. I just found out that some how one of my Dish packages were changed and not by me and my monthly bill went up $53.00. DISH lied to us to get us to sigh up. Promise us local channels for our area then said sorry you have to have this area. Promise us we could watch our sport team with no problem but again they lied to us. They then told us it would be $400 to cancel after one (1) day. While DISH hires amazing service technicians, they lose them due to horrible DISH tech support. Why should a service tech have to use the same system customer service to get help, advice, or other service?? I've watched service tech's wait for up to an hour waiting for a "systems check" or other advice when trying to troubleshoot a service call. What could take 45 minutes, literally takes 5 hours. The service technicians need a direct phone line to technical support. If they did, field service calls would improve 90%. To watch a service tech wait for an hour, or more, is a horrific way to emphasize how BAD your company is. And stop making your service technician be "sales". Stop having them push DISH upgrades or services like drug dealers peddling drugs. Jeesh. Those service tech's cannot "push" a product while on hold for hours trying to fix another DISH product. The way DISH treats its own employees in the field, who are usually dealing with their customers face-to-face, is exactly the way they treat their customers; a nightmare. read more

Worst television provider you can get. Terrible everything ! Especially their associates over the phone. They wouldn't even come to an agreement about a dispute I had with them and my banking account. They are terrible stay away and go to direct tv or something else just not dish. read more

if i could give no stars, i would!! the only stars they get are for their techs, they are very nice. but the quality of the television is awful!! the system keeps rebooting right in the middle of shows, and loses your place, usually at a crucial moment and the dvr setup is terrible!! i'm thinking this was a big mistake, don't make the same one read more

Do not have good customer service. When one of our remotes wasn't working, after troubleshooting, they wanted us to pay to replace the remote. Prices for monthly service and extra charges kept rising and being added over our 3 year service period. When canceling service, it took 30 minutes of me arguing against all their pitches and offers. I just want to cancel please, not continously being placed on hold and told how much money i can save. Maybe you should have tried harder to please us when we were your customer, the last ditch attempt is not going to cut it. Overall, not a good value. read more

To The Better Business Bureau: We live in Lancaster, CA. This summer we decided to revisit our internet/cable/landline needs. We investigated options and settled on DISH who presented a complete plan for us. The dish setup happened in a professional manner. No complaints there. The second phase was with their Internet/phone provider, FRONTIER. At present we have scheduled 4 appointments since June 24th. We have not only NOT been informed by their customer "service", as to delays or rescheduling, but have had to call and speak to people who know absolutely nothing but to reschedule for the next week. After 3weeks my husband LOST IT, and we received a battery pack in the mail: 24988377-09EB-48D9-BCFE-C58BC9D8BB3C This is, 3rd grade equivalent, instructions on how to store a cord and how to install 9 "D" batteries; basically a battery pack. When we called we were given a new installation date of July 19th. We have kept every part of our agreement, including staying home 4 business/work days for installation.
