Horrible customer service! Spectrum doubled my mobile bill with no explanation. Expect to be overcharged with no resolution. I chatted online for 55 minutes and was told it was correct. Then i called and spoke with a manager who stayed it was correct but, provided a ticket. I was never notificied the ticket had been answered. I visited the store. A made an online appointment yo avoid s long wait. The agent who helped me was understanding but, could NOT fresolve the problem. He stated that the problem needed to be resolved by contacting customer service. He told me that I was to receive an email and letter from USPS but, it never occurred. How can we even function Spectrum! Ever since you came in to my life, I feel like I'm doomed. Internet is always dropping and this past week, it went down for more than 3hrs twice. I work at home, so this affects me badly. Spectrum is super unreliable and I would not recommend it. It's hard choosing where to get your internet from because there's not a lot of competitors in Bakersfield, so you're pretty much doomed whether you go or stay. We don't have a choice so I guess for now we will deal w the nuisance that spectrum puts us through on a daily. You're a company that knows about the internet but can't seem to keep it together in that area of expertise. Any time your service goes down, you should be offering discounts or lower bills because you're delaying us from functioning with our work and everyday life. I wonder if we can do a petition because there's no accountability on spectrums side. PS your reps from customer service doesn't even know how to function too. I'm one of few that doesn't think negatively of Spectrum but hey, to each their own. I've been with Spectrum for several years and the issues tend to be few and far between. There was a major outage a week or two ago but they sent a notification about it right away with an ETA to repair and they finished an hour before the ETA. I don't see outages often, when I had a cable issue a while ago they sent a tech out the next day that addressed the issue, fixed it and fixed another problem he found while on site which I appreciated. The store can get busy and the wait can be long but that's not really their fault. They can't control the foot traffic, they offer a reservation system online to make an appointment and they regularly have 4-6 people working up front moving people through as well as they can. I recently switched over to Spectrum Mobile and Jerry was great at getting me all the info I needed and getting me switched over quickly. The service is better than what I had with T-Mobile and I shaved off almost half the cost of my monthly bill. I'm satisfied with what I get though I don't have cable anymore. It's too expensive for how rarely we use it, we mostly stream. But the Internet service and Mobile service have been good. read more

Poor customer service. No honesty or integrity. My service stopped on a Saturday at 11 am. I was told to make an appt to return equipment which I did online for next available on Monday. Returned the equipment. My billing period ended on Saturday. They printed a new statement for a month of service. Was told to wait till next statement for the credit. Never happened. Called and they refuse to credit the invoice for service I never received. Extremely rude and disrespectful customer service personnel. They don't even care. I used them for years in two different states. My recent internet was $130 a month for service that went out constantly. I switched to fiber service for half the price with a competitor. Horrible company when it comes to customer service. I needed to make changes to my services so I did what any self sufficient adult in 2023 would do and went to the app to try and make those changes. Nothing could be found so I tried the website. Nothing there. Used the chat option and after having to waste my time typing out my request, I'm told I need to call in or make an appointment and go in. I finally got some free time to call in, and I'm given 2 options: Make the change effective today, but I'm still billed for it (because services are billed month to month) or call back in when the billing cycle is ending to again request to make the service changes. If it wasn't for the fact that they are the only provider I'm able to get at my home, I would've cancelled immediately on the call. Good thing it's month to month and not a contract. read more

I decided to upgrade my iPhone to the max Pro 14 so I went into my local spectrum store off of California. The young man who help me who's name is a Steve was very helpful. I had chosen his cell phone and when I showed him the one that I wanted to upgrade to he told me that I was actually downgrading phones and told me which phone was the one that I actually wanted. he let me choose my color. He was just so patient so respectful and then he knew that it was taking just a little bit to cross over my items from one phone to the other. He was a jokester. Everyone around him was just coming in and just laughing and it was just a very comfortable experience I highly recommend going to that store and speaking to anyone there to help you with your needs whether it be mobile or cable they're just phenomenal there. I recently had to close my spectrum account and was told to go to the local spectrum store to turn in my equipment. It seemed simple however at every turn something seems to go wrong with this company so I wasn't surprised when I got there I told them what I was there for and they said to wait in queue. I waited 30 minutes for the woman to call my name in the rudest way I have ever heard it called EVER .. I went up and told her I need to turn in my equipment and she said they don't do that there and I told her maybe they should have let me know that before I waited if I asked if that's the case but the phone help desk said to come here .. she proceeded to argue with me and yelled that i didn't ask her so it's not their fault .. I did ask in the beginning before the wait a different worker .. I have never been treated to rudely in my life! I have been a customer for over 10 years and have had struggles with the phone help center sometimes but this is just ridiculous .. mandeville location is absolutely terrible. Also overheard this same worker not even trying to help a woman that came in to change her phone plan (that's a whole nother story). Really REALLY wish spectrum would hire decent workers and change their policies to look out for the customers more but that's just never gonna happen. I call them about 3/4 times a year because 8 to 10 of my channels freeze up at the same time and I get the same DAMMM run around. So sorry but we're having difficulties and they'll get right on it, and they don't. I called last year to get my bill down, they told me they couldn't help me but when I went to cancel my service for a better service that is finally offered in my area they all of a sudden can lower my bill by a lot. Definitely was disappointed when dropping off my equipment. Why? Well, first of all, an older lady was standing outside and FELL! It was shameful to see that the staff didn't offer to lend her a seat/chair. I also replaced the standard router they give you for a faster gaming router and because i did that they charged me $50 extra for the technician to come out. It's just the fastest service I believe that my neighborhood has. The internet speeds can be good at their best but their are often outages. My husband and I purchased a business which of course needs internet. In the last month we have had them out 3 or 4 times replacing routers and wires which were supposed to be new to begin with. When we called customer service because the poor service was hurting our business the first rep (thought she was on mute) was caught laughing about the situation and when asked to speak with her supervisor (Antonio) was not very sympathetic saying he would credit us $13. Today our internet was out from 8:00am till the tech (that got there at 9:45) left at 11:15am. Needless to say we lost business.
