I went it as soon as they opened and dropped off a phone for a screen replacement since it was broken (cracked and unusable). Price was about right as I called another place with the same quote. I was told it would be ready by 2ish, I called and then they said 4ish. I called again before they close at 7 and it turns out my phone was ready for pickup. They were supposed to call to let me know but had I hadn't called myself it would likely have stayed on the shop overnight. That needs a bit more work, but the job was completed effectively and it was done the same day which is what I needed. For that I'm grateful to this place and technicians. Aftermarket products technicalities not disclosed properly ! Brought in a phone with cracked screen , which we had been using with the cracked screen for over a week already , calls , scrolling etc . Bottom touch was becoming difficult already and screen needed to be replaced . Once they replaced screen Face ID stopped working . Took it back to try and get that issue fixed and he said " Face ID never worked " how are you going to tell me Face ID never worked when we had been using the phone and the Face ID on it because the touch was bad ? He said I put in my notes Face ID doesn't work at 4:31pm but I dropped the phone off at 4pm and Face ID was always working . I asked him if it happened because the part was aftermarket , he said "no You brought me the phone with Face ID not working". Insinuating I am lying . If he would have told me , when I fix the screen , Face ID will not work because it is aftermarket screen, I would have just gone to the Apple Store . Keyboard has like half of the keys working and lit up and messed up. Expensive af and literally got nothing done and took like 3 weeks Update: A day later after waiting weeks on weeks for my device. At first it was just the screen that needed to be fixed. Once I went in to pay after the replacement of course i got charged more than what they said it would be at first. Then i noticed ink on my touch bar on the keyboard so i took it back inside and showed it to him because that's not how it was. He's like i got it and then we wait another 2 weeks. Picked it up yesterday which is why i was so frustrated. Upon opening it Some keys are brighter than others and the next day the screen is literally all black except the top. i've spent over $500 trying to get it done and now i'm all that money and a laptop short. read more

!!!PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!! So I waited to give this review just to see how honest their work is. The screen to my phone was cracked, so I entrusted in this company to fix my phone, hence the "amazing" reviews they have. So first time I got my phone back, it was such a horrible job. They lady that fixed my phone put a different color rim on my phone without consulting me first, the camera was messed up, and the back was coming off. So I called, they said to bring it in after the lady basically tried to say my camera was broken due to me handling it, but they "fixed" my phone again along with all the concerns I had. Second time I go pick up my phone, I was mostly satisfied, being the back of the phone glued on but wasn't completely fused shut. The owner ensured me it would stick together if I put a case on my phone, which it did not. Now, my camera has an error message to it, after they "replaced it" and I've done every troubleshooting idea I could find on Google. Now I can't use the camera to my phone and I'm sad and pissed off at the same time, and the "high quality screen" they replaced it with makes anything black have a green hue, unless you have the brightness on 100% and also has a wrrid grain to it. I basically took a loss after paying almost $350. Again, please take your service to someone who is 100% going to do an amazing job and not accuse you of breaking your phone just a few minutes after you leave the building. read more

These guys are top notch. I have a 2013 MacBook Pro & my speakers were busted. I originally went to the Apple store at Valley Plaza Mall. Because it was an older model, and I didn't have Apple Care anymore anyway, they referred me to two shops in Bakersfield, and I went to the closest one to me, which was The Computer Depot. The Computer Depot charged me $40 to run diagnostics first, then said they could order the part for me for around $120-$140 or so in price. I needed my computer that week after the diagnostic test so took it back, I prepaid for the part and took it back the following weekend. They work super fast & called me as soon as it was ready. My almost 10-year-old computer has speakers as if the computer is brand new. I am glad I didn't have to buy as a new MacBook Pro as those computers aren't cheap & aside from the broken speakers, the computer was working perfectly. Thank you for saving me $1500 so I can still work from my laptop, while also using it for entertainment. Amazing, cost efficient, & effective work from this local repair shop! And it wasn't even fixed 100% when I finally decided to leave with it, they pretty much use YouTube to fix it. They don't use good software or anything! They have terrible customer support! DON'T SPEND A DIME HERE! JUST GO TO BEST BUY! I recently purchased an off brand GoPro. Being new to this type of camera, I discovered I needed a memory card before the camera would be operational. I opted to shop locally, and found a local electronics store, rather than going to the chain store. This was a mistake. I arrived at Computer Depot just before noon. I asked Ali, the man behind the counter, for a memory card that would fit my camera. I brought the camera with me, so I handed it to him to get a recommendation. Note: Had he said, "I can't help you - I don't know this camera and can't make an informed recommendation," the responsibility would have entirely been mine. This isn't what he did. I trusted his expertise and his recommendation. These were also mistakes. Ali showed me three memory cards - 2 cards of 32 Gigs (One HD, the other 4K HD) and 1 card of 64 Gigs. I asked specifically, "Any of these will work in my camera?" He assured me they would. I opted for the 64 Gig card, which was also 4K HD, at a price tag of $75 - with tax, just over $80. I asked Ali to install it, so he's the one that opened the package, installed the card, and disposed of the packaging. I thought he had checked the camera to make sure the card worked. He had not. I then left. I ran a few errands and got home about 1:30. I checked out the camera and discovered it did not recognize the card. I looked at some videos online, examined the card closely, and eventually discovered that a camera like mine (as well as some older model GoPros) will not recognize a memory card over 32 Gigs. I went back to Computer Depot. Ali was not there; another guy was. I'd arrived just minutes after 2 p.m., just over two hours after purchasing the card in the first place. I told him the story. He called Ali. They refused to help me. They said the best they were going to do was take the card back, then give me 50% off whatever card I ended up buying. I objected. The guy behind the counter told me, "Your best bet is to file a report with the BBB. IF they decide we're at fault, then we'll refund your money." I was furious. I'd trusted their expertise, their recommendation and their pricing. Computer Depot had failed their customer on every level, and worse, did not care about the problem they had created, much less rectifying it. Two customers arrived at the store during our dispute. Outside, both asked me what had happened. I told them the same story. Both left without entering the store. I went back to the front of the store to find the door locked. I called the store and informed them I was going to go to Best Buy to purchase the card and would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Chamber of Commerce if applicable, and posting reviews on Yelp, as well as any other consumer protection services I could locate. I gave them a final chance to make it right. He declined. I purchased a 32 Gig card from Best Buy for $14. A 64 Gig card at Best Buy is $18. The same card I purchased at Computer Depot is available from Amazon for $14. I posted the card on Facebook Marketplace for what I paid for it, listing it as unused and practically new. I was told how ridiculous that price was and was offered $10 for it. Computer Depot ripped me off. I won't make the mistake of shopping with them again, and will reevaluate my policy of buying locally because of this experience. Yeah, I should have known better. That doesn't make it right to price gouge, claim expertise in something you know nothing about, and make recommendations that aren't appropriate for the client. Additional note: I discussed my experience with a friend of mine this morning, and when I said the words "Computer Depot," he rolled his eyes and told me I didn't need to say anything more. He'd had experience with them, and his opinion was, "They must be a money laundering front, because they don't care about the customer and don't seem to care about actually making money." read more

They did a great job I contacted them late Friday night after my laptop went up in smoke literally smoke pouring out the vents Went down there on Saturday morning they met me a few minutes before the store opened, took in my laptop explained to me they would try to save it if possible and retrieve my data for me which was crucial I was under a very tight work deadline and loss of the data also meant loss of close to $2000 in income and I would no longer be able to retain one of my major clients The manager called me later that afternoon and let me know that the processor was not salvageable but he would be able to recover the majority of my data they explained the options and told me I could provide my own laptop or computer in which to transfer the data to or they could just put it on a external hard drive for me I want ahead and decided to get a new laptop that they had in stock it was a business model and was devoid of all the junk software that you normally get from an Office Depot type computer My old hard drive had a huge amount of data on it including pictures work files and a massive Windows Outlook file containing all of my emails I told him no matter how late it was to please call me and I would come get the computer once it was ready even though they had an extremely busy day they diligently worked on my computer and kept me updated throughout the night At 11 PM they called and said the laptop is ready if I wanted to come get it or I could pick it up the following day now this is five hours past normal business hours I jumped in my car and ran straight down there he demonstrated to me the features of the new computer and showed that my where my data could be located they even took the extra step and removed my old hard drive from the dead laptop and enclosed it in a case where I can access it anytime I wanted as a next external Drive I can't believe they waited until midnight for me to come pick up my computer but I sincerely appreciate them going the extra mile to get me a working computer with all of my old data and saved my business Relationship with an important customer the service and the new computer were very reasonable I would recommend them for your Computer needs Yelp has saved me once again not only telling me where to eat and where to avoid to eat but also where to get my car fixed and my computer repaired sometimes people post bad things about places maybe because they were in a bad mood that day or who knows why but I always try to give a place a second chance even if they have a bad review several restaurants I've been to that were given one or two stars by some people and four stars by others and they end up turning out to be some of the best places to eat.
