This is the worst Verizon store ever. If I am correct, it is located right next to Wing Stop and the habit. I have been here twice and both occasions have been a waste of time. The first time I came I wanted to replace my screen protector. I have a lifetime warranty on my screen protectors and usually get it replaced at the Verizon on foothill however, I decided to go here because I was around the area. I walked in the store and the workers were just lounging around. I had to approach them and ask for a screen protector replacement. They barely acknowledged me and said they could not do it without a manager who will be back next week. That was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. I walked out very angry. I came back months later hoping that maybe their customer service has improved. When I first pulled in the parking lot, their were two men smoking outside. I walked into and empty store waiting with my friend. Finally, the two men who were smoking walked in and asked if I needed help. I never expected them to be employees. I told them I needed to get my hotspot working because I pay for it every month but every time I try to activate it, the link Verizon provides sends me to a nonexistent website. So, I gave my phone to the worker and they did exactly what I have been doing multiple times (clicking the nonexistent link). After three minutes, the worker said that he could not fix it and I should take it to a real Verizon store. Overall, just do not waste your time by going to this Verizon store. I personally love Verizon as a company, but this store is seriously a joke. I've never been to a more unprofessional and disorganized place. So I desperately needed to change my phone carrier back to Verizon and unfortunately it took about 3-4 hours. Despite the inconvenience , I had amazing service with one of the workers named Leo! I've been scammed! I would give them a zero if Yelp would let me. I came here a day after Thanksgiving 2017 to buy Google pixel2 and pixel2xl because we saw a promotion for 50% off each device. We were told that it would take couple months for the promotion discount to kick in. That's fine. Couple months go by, and I'm still not getting the discount. I call Verizon customer service and tells me to wait another month. I wait, still no discount. I call again (2/1/2018) and again, I'm told to wait til next bill. By this time, I'm frustrated so I direct message their customer service on Twitter. I get a response right away telling me that reason the discount isn't applying is because I'm suppose to be on Unlimited plan!! Why didn't the sales guy inform us about it if we are clearly NOT on unlimited!? Why are customer service people keep telling me that it will appear on my next bill!? Had I known about this, I would have never bought these specific phones! So I'm on a dispute with the customer service on DM, and all they are offering me $108 credit and 25% off accessory (like I want to spend more money?!) I was clearly misinformed and misguided. I'm beyond furious. They make me wait "couple months" to clearly avoid me from the return policy time frame. Now I'm stuck with 2 full priced phones. On top of all this, as we are signing up, sales guy tells us that we have to either purchase some roadside assistance device or a tablet to qualify for the promo. I told him no, we just want phones. We relucantly agree to get chargers and cases. We could have easily switch to another carrier, but instead my husband transferred over to Verizon so we can be on a same plan. (We are newly weds so lot of things are still separate) I will be filing a complaint to Better Business Bureau, because this was clearly their neglegence. read more

Victor himself deserves this 5 star rating from this location. He definitely went above and beyond to help us out even as far staying WAY later than work hours to get us done. He took care of us from start to finish even when he ran into some difficult issues. Regardless of the issues, he worked it out with his store manager Jessica to make sure we leave the store happy. He's a real professional that knows what he's doing and he's very friendly. I'm really impressed that an associate would go this far for a customer. I called the store to find out their newly moved location (since last November but Google is still showing the old address) is in the Alhambra plaza. First of all, it's a smaller Verizon store, which was not an issue with me. I got there at 5pm. I could see there were some customers being helped with 4 reps in the store, but there was no one waiting before me. The rep who greeted me asked what I need help on so I said I need to transfer data, port my current number to a new phone that I purchased from Verizon website. Basically, I am not making any purchases and just needed some grunt work to be done. He told me to wait so I did. As I am waiting someone came into the store and looking for phone covers. The rep who greeted me started helping them and little did I know at the time, I was being skipped. Finally, another person who seem like a manager asked if I have been helped, which I was not, and told that same rep to help me out. He said, "Oh, I am helping these customers." (The ones came in after me.) But the "manager" still told him to help me next when he could of helped me. They said they need to use "this" computer to be available to help me out. (I am thinking, seriously?? Okay...) Finally, when it's my turn, he was yarning as I am talking to him, then chit-chatting with another rep that he was starving. Even though he apologized for yarning and it's late in the day, put your act together and have some professionalism? With his half yarning, half asking information on my account, he couldn't get my login and password to work to get into my account. By then, it was around 5:30pm, I needed to be somewhere else. I got NOTHING DONE. In conclusion, my experience with this store was I felt neglected and disrespected. The rep was unhelpful and a big waste of my time. If you are looking to get Verizon service, DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE!! This store may look like any legit Verizon store, but it is not!! You should go to Verizon web site and find the closest location to you. Go to the one in Montebello mall or Pasadena if you are in the nearby area. They are the legit stores from Verizon if you are in the area. If I can give this store 0 star, but I can't on Yelp. This store misleads everyone. They put up the Verizon sign and crew puts on Verizon lanyard. They do not tell you that they are a third party store. When you ask them, they say they are the "premium retail store". Bullshit, they are not!!! They have "A Wireless" on their invoices. One of the salesperson even said the store was 4G Wireless, and was acquired by A Wireless later. They didn't have time to update that. Whatever, the bottom line is this is not a Verizon corporate store. Therefore, you'll get billed for some unknown charges. They charge you for service they do not provide - set-up fee for $20, some waterproof insurance and some VIP membership. All these charges are not legit Verizon charges. If you sign up for any of the above service, that is not part of Verizon service. You get a bill from Verizon for activation and insurance later. Yes, you get double charged!!! Problems: 1) Porting lines without final authorization; 2) Double Activation Fees (Verizon and Victra); 3) Failure to email receipt; 4) Failure to follow-up on ordered phones. I had planned to switch from my current mobile service to Verizon. I had tried signing up for Verizon online with a chat representative. It did not work out, so I walked into this Verizon store, which was NOT a corporate Verizon store but an authorized dealer. To begin, nowhere on their store front signage was it posted that this was an authorized retail dealer, rather it looked pretty identical to a corporate Verizon store. They are not the same entity nor do they operate in the same manner. I was helped by a sales person who was eager to assist me in opening 5 lines for my family. She was clearly eager to sell me phones that I did not need. She told me our iPhone 7s were locked and could not be brought over to Verizon, but could be traded in for $450 on an iPhone Xr. It turns out, the iPhone 7s can be unlocked. Based on what this Victra representative told me, I ended up buying four phones, instead of the two phones I needed. I had to return home to bring one of the iPhone 7s to the store, and told her I would return shortly. While I was gone, she had already ported two numbers over to the new phones, even though that was not what I had authorized. I told her it was ok to open the account, ie. Name, address, phone number, stuff like that. When I told her I was not ready to proceed, she told me I stood to lose those phone numbers because they had already been ported. I could tell by the look on her face that she knew she had made a mistake. I felt trapped and could not afford to lose my phone numbers , and felt like I had no other choice but to proceed with opening up an account and ordering the phones. She then told me to come back on Tuesday 10 am when she would be working and the phones would be in. Guess what? She wasn't at work on Tuesday at 10 am, but I was told she would come in at 1 pm. I left message for her and asked for a return call. She did not call me back. I took off work on Wednesday morning to find out what was going on. A capable store manager helped me on Wednesday morning but he could not find the phones; they had not come in yet. I was pretty frustrated with the process, so I decided to cancel the account. This store manager was really professional and pretty wonderful. He was working on trying to keep my business (even if down the line) and saw that my account was beset with problem and tried to rectify the situation. In the process of cancelling the account, the store manager explained that I had paid Victra for the new phones and ACTIVATION fees, and that I was going to be billed by corporate Verizon for the service and ACTIVATION fees. I realized that the first store representative had not given me a Victra receipt nor had she sent it to my email as promised. The store manager was honest enough to confirm this. The store manager also told me that the Verizon activation fees and the Victra activation fees would NOT BE REFUNDED, even though there is a "worry free" 14 day refund period and the whole fiasco happened due to the Victra sales person's overstep. I called Verizon and spoke with a representative who was able to cancel out the bill and the Verizon activation fees. The store manager called his boss to see if he could cancel out the Victra activation fees. The boss said no. REALIZE YOU ARE PAYING FOR TWO ACTIVATION FEES - ONE WITH VERIZON AND ONE WITH VICTRA. Victra will not honor the "worry free" 14 day refund and will not refund Victra activation fees. While I electronically signed a bunch of documents that day when I reluctantly opened this account. I did not see or was not told that VICTRA would be imposing Activation fees as well as Verizon's activation fees. read more

I came in to this store just to ask questions about iPhone 7 plus and I ended up buying a new phone. I was given a very good customer service by Nick, he was very patient with all of my questions, and concerns. They don't have the color of the iPhone 7 plus I like which is rose gold but Nick made it possible for me to have it. He went to another store to get it for me and was immediately back in less than an hour. Now that's very nice I think so that he could make me happy with my purchase! He prepared all the paperwork and explained to me in details all the transaction he did. He made sure that I get all the discounts that I am entitled to, I have a discount from my work if I use Verizon and also I turned in my iPhone 6. He assured me that I can always call him if I have anymore more questions and concerns which I do so I've called him at least 2 or 3x and I never had any problems with him. Extremely unsatisfied with this store, went in initially looking to buy an iphone 11, which they had, but of course like similar stories seen below was told "It's in stock, but previous customer didn't pick it up, so you have to buy it with screen protector and case, can't be unbundled." Of course the screen protector and case on their own add an extra $120. When going over how I wanted to make payments for the phone, I explicitly told the salesman Jesus that I wanted to just come into the store to make a payment of a few hundred every other week to just have the phone paid off. I was very explicitly clear and he expressed understanding of what I wanted and said it was no problem. Of course I go back into the store, and I'm told that I am unable to do that, was told by the manager that "I must not have made myself clear." My quick trip to make a payment turned into a 45 minute trip of them having to completely redo my agreement. Would strongly recommend against purchasing from this store, they will try to upsell you by lying and telling you "It's the only one in stock and has to come with x, y, and z," and then when they are magically able to ask the manager to take it off, then suddenly you feel like you're getting a deal. I have zero trust in the salespeople here, please buy your phones and other needs elsewhere. They only care about taking your money. read more

Kevin was the sales representative at the store who helped us. My phone wasn't turning on after many attempts and being charged for hours. He first performed a diagnostics test to see what the issue was before finding out that the motherboard was fried. He then patiently helped walked us through the whole process to set us up with a new phone to get it up and running. We couldn't have asked for a more professional employee with excellent customer service. I like supporting our local business because I personally know how hard it is to keep business open on Main St. This is the one business I cannot support. I went in to purchase a phone. I was greeted by Jesus. He told me I was in luck because the iphone pro 11 I wanted was available. The previous customer didn't pick it up. The catch is, you can only buy it as a package with screen protector, case and car charger. Without even thinking twice, I bought it. Later when I called (he didn't know it was me) to see if they have a different color iPhone pro in stock, Jesus told me yes. Same story, customer didn't pick it up, it's a package deal (coincidence?). That gave me suspicion to check my receipt. $64.99 for screen protector, $44.95 for case, $24.99 for car charger and $19.99 for set up and go plus ???. What the heck??? What happened to integrity?? On top of that, I told him I don't want the premium plan. Later after I downloaded the app and check my plan. There it was, $90 month premium plan. I spend over an hour with Verizon changing all my plan. Business that straight up lie to customer just to sells accessories are not worth supporting. Left with a new phone and a better plan when initially I was going to cancel my service. Avoid this store at all costs. Jacqlyn Garcia especially. She lied to both my dad and I about a trade in promotion and assured that our monthly bill would be around 350 dollars. We leave the store thinking we got a good deal. Come to find out they charged us over 800 dollars the second month and when we called the store and spoke to the supervisor, she hung up on us in the middle of our conversation! When we talked to Jacqlyn, she was incredibly unhelpful and tried to justify the insane amount of money being charged to us by trying to convince us that they were late fees and payments we failed to make on our previous month. We were only with Verizon for 2 months because it was such an awful experience. These people are super unprofessional and Jacqlyn kept giggling when i returned to the store and asked her for help initially which was very annoying. We are talking serious business why do you keep joking around as if this situation is funny. In addition, their service sucks I barely had any good signal in most places and the monthly payments are outrageous for such shitty service. That's why I switched as soon as possible!!! Situation: Mom's phone broke and she needed a replacement. Her phone's warranty had expired but she still had 1 more year left on her contract. Few pointers to that guy that I will have the courtesy of not naming... 1. If a customer walks in asking for a replacement phone and only a replacement phone, referring them to Craigslist is probably not ideal. 2. It does not make sense to "convince" a customer to add a 2nd line to their account for an additional charge of $25/ mth, which will eventually cost them $600.00 for the 2 year contract they will have to sign, to save them $35 on a replacement phone. I get you want to up-sell, do it on accessories then. Isn't there a huge markup on that?! 3. You're in Alhambra, the majority of the residents are ESL so make sure you are clearly explaining what you are offering. 4. Be a sales guy, but try not to be that sleezy-car-sales-guy. read more

I just had the most awful customer service experience. Claudia, the "manager", is a very poor choice for this company. She refused to offer me a reasonable explanation on why they couldn't assist me with unlocking my phone (so I can use it with the wireless carrier in the country I now reside in). She kept repeating "Oh, we don't do it. You need to go to a third party store". I asked the questions not because I was trying to challenge anyone, I just needed answers to a baffling situation. Claudia, appearing readily annoyed and impatient, stood there with her hand on her hip and leaning on the front counter, waited to shoo me out of "her" store. I am a current VICTIM of Verizon. I have learned that they screwed me coming and going. I was bold faced LIED to by their "District Manager" Joe Wang (you can see many negative reviews about this guy in allllllllllllllllllllll of his stores- LMAO some district manager he is.) and supposedly "Regional Manager", Aaron Alaniz. They are the most misinformed, deceiving, and conniving people I have ever dealt with. First, they spammed me with text messages to come into the store and talk about my account with them, which I don't even think is legal to go into my account without my permission and text me to solicit business based on what they see IN my account. That's a HUGE problem since my account is protected by password and my SSN....So how were they able to just "take a look" at my account when I wasn't even in store nor have I been in the store ever?? Second, while I was there the District manager was talking down to a rep in such a demeaning way, because the sales rep didn't want to sell a customer a device they didn't need, all the customer wanted was a charger anyways (GOOD FOR YOU REP!). Is that how to teach and coach your reps to force devices on people who don't even want them? I'll never go back to any A-Wireless store because of these two snakes (Joe and Aaron). Sorry to all of the representatives that work at the stores, I'm sure you're all great people, but your "upper management" sets the worst example and the company should consider who they hire/promote as leaders, because from what I saw they are terrible people who will do anything to get money in their pockets. They are not considerate of the customer or their own reps. Why would anyone want to use a company that treat everyone else like they are below them? Being recently married, We went here at the end of November 2011 to get a new combined phone plan. WE DID NOT REALIZE THAT THIS WAS NOT AN AUTHORIZED VERIZON DEALER!! Anyway, We told the manager JOHNNY CHAVEZ that my husband was on a plan under his mom's phone. We told him we wanted that one cancelled. Now his mom is getting harassment calls from Verizon saying she owes $125 for that account. Turns out Johnny never actually cancelled the line. We are still in the middle of trying to rectify this. We have seen Johnny twice now since then, and both times he said he would straighten it out and not to worry. We just talked with Verizon again, and they say nothing has been done. We were feeling like something was up... and now that I read these other reviews, I feel like we are screwed!! read more

No smiles, just down right negative and sour attitudes. Came in, got what I needed, a sim card(that didn't work) got myself a different one from a DIFFERENT STORE. Came to get my money back, but they dont mentioned to you that you can't get a refund until the receipt is printed. Was force to get something different.
