If I could give zero stars I would. When you read bad reviews online, believe them. I read some of the reviews and wanted to challenge my luck, hoping to get an agent to help set up my account correctly. At the time of setting up the account I felt rushed, a lot of hard sales going on. But I looked the other way just cause I really needed to change my phone plan right away. Fast forward a little time, now it's been 3 months after I set up the account, I received no paper bills, no electronic bills. The reason? The rep who helped me put down the WRONG email address, and FORGOT to send me paper bills. So Verizon is hunting me down for missed payments, and i have to make blinded payments without verifying ANY charges. So do your self a favor, read through all the reviews on yelp, there's a reason this place is getting 2 starts based on 90 some reviews. Over all horrendous experience coming here, a lot of issues still not resolved after 3 months, fingers crossed I can at least see a bill by the end of next week. read more

I went to the Verizon store in Alhambra on Main St to change my carrier do to high prices and slow internet (AT&T) Kevin assisted me and was SUPER FAST, FUN AND FRIENDLY. He explained everything to me and broke everything down. I had went to T Mobile to see what they had to offer which was not bad and just only $10 cheaper but after researching between the two, Verizon was the best over all, especially being helped by Kevin himself. I appreciate his service and hospitality. I bought the new Google Pixel here in Feb 2017. Love the phone, however, my own stupidity caused me to have the joy of visiting Alvin yesterday. I recently tried to resolve a complaint about being over charged on my monthly bills. I was told by Devin Chou and James Shin that I would only be charged 75 dollars a month for an iPhone 6 but my monthly bills were being charged at 94 dollars a month. They admitted that they gave out the wrong price but insisted that there was nothing they could do to reverse the new monthly charges. I eventually had to terminate the contract and pay the full retail price of the phone. Customers, if you have had the same problems, then write a formal complaint to The Better Business Bureau. Write your complaint to sound as professional as possible versus sounding like a rant. Within a week, a Verizon executive relations coordinator will contact you and you can begin to resolve your complaint. After contacting The Better Business Bureau and speaking with a Verizon executive relations coordinator, I was able to get back my money back. read more

The absolutely worst customer service I have ever experienced. After sweet talking us into tha new program and selling us three phones they were incapable of doing the most simple tasks after the fact. The woman who appeared to be the manager, I believe her name was Claudia, was the most thoughtless and rude individual I have ever met. When we came back later asking for help, you know customer support, she basically just blew us off. She handed us a Post-it with the phone number of Verizon's technical support on it and told us to call them. We are deciding at this point what kind of legal action we will be taking in order to rectify the situation. If you are looking for an upgrade and new phone don't come here. Go to Best Buy instead. At least their technicians are capable of setting up your phone while you are at their store. We love Verizon but our local Verizon store has really bad physical customer service. So when we stumbled into this Verizon while killing time in Alhambra we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service. Our intention was to just look at phone and when Joshua accompanied us (not in an overbearing kind of way) he began to tell us about their Black Friday promotions. We ended up upgrading our phones and taking advantage of the deals. Joshua was an awesome CS representative and made our experience very pleasant. I've been using yelp since 2012 and never felt the need to leave reviews until I visited the Verizon Wireless store in Alhambra, CA. Keep in mind this store is what they call a premium wireless retailer. Some services are limited compared to official locations. That being said, I've been with verizon for several years now but never had a great in-store experience. Thats not until I met James, the store manager on Thursday January 8th. Came into the store there were 4 representatives & 6 customers total including myself. Waited 10min to be addressed, the male representative decided I needed a new SIM card, was told have a seat & it would be about 5min. Waited another 12min until I was seen again. Male representative passed me onto a female rep. She first tries to up sell me into buying more data. Politely refused the offer saying all I needed was a new SIM. Additional 10min wait before she tells me it's going to cost $25 to get a new SIM. I informed her that Verizon Help said on the phone I could get a new SIM free in-store. She said they're a "premium" retailer and this and that so $25 fee.. I declined the fee and took my business elsewhere, more on principle for not being up front. I understand that she was just following protocol but couldn't the male representative who diagnosed the issue warned me about the fee prior to me waiting an additional 20+min?? In total I wasted almost an hr going there. Not worth your time for service help if they can't be up front about things in my honest opinion. read more

However, Kevin whom sold me my phone helped on Friday evening by explaining all the security features and how to work them. Pretty worthless store if you're looking at phones. How do you not have any demos? You only have toy phones! Plastic phones that look like the phones you want. You expect me to buy or upgrade a phone without using it first? How would you like to buy a car without driving it first? You can play with the toy model though! How would you like it if you couldn't try on any clothes when shopping? You can see how it looks on he mannequin though! The sales associate was pretty clueless too. I was asking to compare two models of phones from the same brand. She tells me one is essentially a little bigger in size. So you are telling me there is a $100 difference in price and there is only a size difference? $100 may not seem a lot, but in terms of cell phone prices that is huge especially when the max price of a phone is usually around $200. read more

He switched me over to an unlimited plan, and while I might not be able to afford my kids anymore I can certainly call them whenever child services has them removed from my home, because I will be on Americas largest and most reliable network. I went in on a Thursday afternoon and wanted to upgrade to an iPhone X. There was 2 salesman and each of them were busy with someone, and there was another client waiting. So I left to grab a bite to eat, came back about 30 minutes later, and now there was one salesman and he was helping another client. So I sat down and he started asking me what I wanted to do and what not, so I tell him and we're exchanging all this info over the heads of the clients he's currently "helping". It continues like this for over an hour until finally he finds the phone I need at another store. Now from my understanding there were two options for me, I either buy my old phone and keep it, or I trade it in for the new phone and turn it in within 14 days. I confirmed this with the salesman Paul multiple times. Towards the middle of the process he mentions he can get me a screen protector and a case for my patience, which I thought was cool. I finally sign for my new phone, almost 2 hours in, and I still have to pick it up in San Marino. I was tired of waiting at this point and leave to go pick up my phone. When I get there I mention to the SM salesman that Paul said something about a case. He told me I have to go back to that store to get the case and I should try again tomorrow. I come back today, (this all happened last night) and Paul is there telling me that in order to get a case and screen protector, I needed to participate in the "trade in program". A completely separate program he never made clear last night, and when I told him my understanding of my two options the prior night, he shook his head with no emotion. I asked for more clarification of this "trade in program" and he gave me short "Yeah" or "No" answers with no emotion again. Moral of the story, don't go here. Shoppers beware of this place! Walked in and asked if they had the iPhone X in stock (this was for me). I was told no by the first associate. So I then I talked to another associate because I was really there to upgrade my parent's iPhones because they had a BOGO for iPhone 8's and said I would have upgraded mine too if they had iPhone X's in stock, and was told yes they do?!? So we go back and fourth and finally decided to upgrade all 4 of the lines I have with Verizon, 2 x iPhone 8 and 2 x iPhone X. As everything was getting processed, we were told that we would be getting "FREE ITEMS" with our upgrades, SCORE!! (or so I thought). We were ask to pick out cases. They picked out the screen protectors, Verizon Qi charging stands, a set of BT headphones and a (WAY OVER PRICED) lightning cable that we did not need. When walking around the store, no accessories have a price tag on them, you won't know how much you are paying for something unless you ask for the price or look on your bill. After everything was said and done, we were told all we are responsible for was paying the tax on the phones (2 certains in life.. Death and Taxes). Was given the 14 day return policy + Restocking fee disclaimer. Sign on electronic keypad and out the door. After looking at the receipt, I realized, the "FREE" stuff was actually paid for by the credits from our traded in phones?!?!?! (can you say false promises?) We were told that they can't credit toward the phones/account since it was under the "Monthly Payment" plan. By this time, I was tired, hungry and didn't want to deal with it right then and there. Went home, ate, realized we only got credit for 3 out of the 4 phones. Went back and was told they knew about it and were on the phone with Verizon to get the credit put on our bill for the 4th phone (what happened to "we can't credit toward the phones/account?"). Later that evening, I looked at the bill even more and see we were charged for something called "Redux Multi-Device Memberships" and "VIP Annual Memberships?" We were never even told about these memberships and what benefits they come with. In checking out www.victra.com, I found out "Redux" is a service they offer to "Save your wet device" with some sort of machine and their VIP Membership offers 10% discounts on accessories and other "money saving" benefits. 1) The iPhones we purchased are water resistant, why do we need the Redux service? Out of all the years I have ever owned a mobile device, I have yet to get any wet to the point where I need a drying service. Went back next day and was told it was part of a "Bundle Deal". I eventually got a refund 2) If I was a "VIP Member" and eligible for 10% of ALL accessories, how come I was charged full price for things that were said to be "FREE"? Went back next day and was told the accessories were part of a "Bundle Deal." What a great Deal! I got a whole $10.01 OFF for over $435 worth of accessories. (cases, screen protectors, 3) Asked the manager if it was true that we couldn't apply the trade in phone values to our bill, how come they were able to do it with the 4th? Manager said she doesn't know what happened, but they are able to send in the phones and credit the accounts. In the end, we were charged for over $555 worth of accessories and memberships that could have been applied toward our account to offset the over $4000 in phones we just bought. We was able to get about $120 back for the memberships that I was never told about nor agreed to sign up for. If you do plan to shop here, eat a hearty meal first, get a print out of the sales invoice and check that you are only charged for things you that agreed to before signing/paying. read more

Like others, zero stars if possible. My girlfriend and I were in this store for 4 hours last night, trying to upgrade two lines on her existing account and to transfer my account from T-Mobile. Aryana was the representative who helped us and promised my girlfriend that she could help her with getting two new iPhone 6s and two new tablets while increasing her monthly bill by only $10-$15. Sound too good to be true? YUP. She and the district manager, Joe Wang, completely rearranged her account and didn't disclose any fees or what was being done. However, their system "Euros" went down during part of the transaction so we didn't get receipts or print-outs of some of the documents. They reassured us that everything would be fine and to visit the store today and everything will be squared away. Today, we found that her monthly bill increased by $100, they actually OVERCHARGED for the iPhones by $10 more than what Apple or Verizon Corporate would charge, and sold us equipment that wasn't even processed/activated - which is against company policy - and were marketed WAY above MSRP. They also messed with a line that we SPECIFICALLY and REPEATEDLY said not to make any changes to but they did. Aryana and Joe completely screwed us over. The poor guy Devin who helped us heard an earful but told us he couldn't help us revert back to before we stepped into this gawd-forsaken store. We called Verizon Customer Service while in the store and they told us to go to a corporate store and to return everything and cancel all orders. We visited the corporate store in Pasadena and was told they couldn't assist because an "indirect" store sold us the equipment and made the changes. We drove BACK to 4G Wireless and another employee tried to tell us they couldn't help and we had to go to corporate. I shut him down and told him we already went and they can't assist because an "indirect" store screwed everything up. So these employees returned all our equipment and after a 45-minute phone call to Verizon Customer Service (with me doing most of the talking and not the 4G sales representative), we got confirmation that the plan would be reverted back to its original state prior to visiting 4G Wireless. Great, right? Well, then 4G Wireless was saying they could only refund us $290 - nearly $80 less than what was paid upfront the night before. They tried to convince us there was nothing that could be done but after asking them to call Joe to come down to the store and pay us back the $80 out of his own pocket because he lied, misrepresented services, and acted without consent, they suddenly were able to refund everything with a press of a button. Do not come here. The district manager, Joe Wang, will lie and do what he can to make the sale but you'll end up paying for it. While we were there for 4 hours last night and nearly 5 hours today, we saw the same people who were helped by him yesterday come in today completely irate and annoyed and requesting refunds. Here's another 1 star for this place. I came into this store to buy the new iPhone xs max. I knew Verizon had a deal of getting free XR for opening a new line. It sounded like a great deal. My sister was in need of another line and she would like the phone for herself. Verizon phones are known to be unlocked and the salesman (Kevin) said it would work for any carrier. He said a new line would only add an additional $10 to the entire bill. Then, there is the "Hey, we have to charge you for the set up fee and taxes of the phone, so we offer you a free case and screen protector to justify for the cost." It sounded sketchy, cause what's free? Ever? He led us to pick a case and proceeded to install it on the phone. About an hour after, we got everything... I was charged about $400 ish. I didn't look at my receipt until I got home because my sister had to leave for work right away. I logged in to my Verizon account and found out that he changed my plan too. I was grandfathered in an old plan and he updated my plan to the newest one. I was able to view my estimated next bill which was double the cost. On the receipt, it was Victra - NOT VERIZON! It said "VERIZON" outside the store and it was not known to me that this was an authorized retailer until I got my receipt. After reading other Yelp reviews, I guess they don't have to disclose that info to you. My brother in law and I went back trying to return the XR the same day. The sim card did not work for the XR as promised. There was one lady working and said they cannot process the return. Only the manager can do it and she'll be in the next day from 12-3. My sister went back the next day at the time specified. The manager is not in but traveling internationally. They said she will be back Thursday. I feel like they were trying to prolong the process to bill for terminating phone lines early, restocking fees, etc... I live chat with Verizon online and they said I can walk in any store to do the return. I went to a different store in Irvine. They fixed everything that this guy jacked up with the exception of getting me back on my old plan. I had to call corporate to fix it. This was a complete waste of time and money. I do not recommend this place. For future phones, I'm never walking in a store to deal with idiots. Order online or directly from Apple. read more

My uncle went to this place because it shows Verizon. He wanted to ask them how to use his old phone. But the promoter cheated my uncle to buy their over $500 productions. He is almost 90 years old, even doesn't know how to use iPhone, they still promoted iPad, iPhone and hum to him. I actually went to a Verizon corp store, where it took 45 min to get help and then had a pushy salesperson being too agressive for the sale. I disagree w the person that wrote a review. I went to this 4G Verizon store after i broke my phone and didn't have an upgrade available. The manager there, Johnny, was very helpful and patient. Not only was he able to push my upgrade date, I got a GREAT deal on my new smartphone. I will mos def go back and recommend that friends go there too. It would be better if you already have an idea of what you need then what you want. read more

After purchasing a phone and case three weeks ago, the case has yet to arrive. I've called 7 times since and while acknowleging I bought the case, no one in the store has been able to give me an answer or confirmation it is being sent. Each representative has said they would look into it and not called back or followed up. Often they would just hang up. Undoubtedly worst customer service and have failed to deliver a product I paid for. While in the store the rep just tried to up sell me and was going to overcharge for a phone until I showed him a lower price on Verizon's website. Continued to cost more with fees and phone case I have yet to receive. I would not recommend this store to anyone even if you need the phone that day; it would let be cheaper and safer to order online through Verizon or amazon and rush ship it. Came in to upgrade my phone, and was told it would be $150 for some weird package, which include access to a machine in their store that would fix your phone if it was water damaged. They also tried to add some weird HUM gadget that is a diagnostic machine for your car?? After telling them I just wanted to pay the activation fee and taxes on the new phone, the rep said to me that he can not sell me a phone unless I pay the $150 for a case, a charger, and access to their silly water machine, and that doesn't even include the activation charge and tax on the new phone. As he was telling me this his face was turning red, and it was at that moment I knew he was full of shit. Do yourself a favor and go to a legit Verizon store. I went up the street to the Verizon on Lake and was out of there within 15 mins. Got a new phone and only paid the $30 activation fee and tax. read more

Really bad service. I went in on a Friday after a rep told my son that I can exchange my new phone for a different color any time. A lady by the name of Claudia helped us. I explained that I wanted to exchange the phone and at that moment is when her tone changed. Her responses were very unappealing. She said, "I don't even think we have it. Let me check." As she checked, I noticed she was texting someone on her cell phone and smiling. How unprofessional is that?! She continued and finally said, "I don't have it but I can have it for you by tomorrow at 3pm." I was already furious with the awful service we were receiving that I just said ok and left. The next day, I had my son call to check if the phone had arrived. Sure enough, he was told that the phone was not there but it would be on Tuesday August 12th. Are you kidding me?! Do yourself a favor and GO TO A CORPORATE RETAILER. Do not go to an Authorized Reseller. I was scammed at this location (and at another in NYC). I have two phones on my account and both were eligible for an upgrade. When going through this process the sales rep threw in all these extras "for free", one being Samsung tablets. We confirmed numerous times that these were indeed free and he assured us they were no charge. "We could even sell them if we wanted to." Days later I find on my bill that we are being charged $10/month for each tablet and they're on a two-year contract. Again, there was no mention of this. Irate, I took these tablets back to the store to get them returned since I didn't want or need them in the first place. Of course, the manager was not in, nor was the sales rep who initially helped us. This other employee called the manager and the manager said he would not accept the return since it was over 14 days even though there is a holiday return policy: "Your holiday gift not what you expected? No sweat, our holiday worry-free guarantee makes it simple to return or exchange through January 14, 2017. Our policy applies to all purchases made between November 24 and December 31, 2016." So now I have to go back again and make him honor this policy. This whole thing has been a major pain and I would consider switching carriers if it weren't for the helpfulness of corporate. So to reiterate, I would stay away from "authorized retailers" if I were you and only go to an actual corporate Verizon store. read more

I do a lot of my shopping online because of my busy schedule, but I needed some face to face hands on live service this time, and these two service consultants walked me through it step by step.
