WoW..I am Blown Away :) this place is GREAT! I had no idea what to expect when I was meeting a friend here for lunch but of course I was willing to give it a chance and I am happy I did. I walked in to such a cool alive place, music is playing and lots of local people enjoying what looks like good food. I walked up to the cashier looking a little lost and Kristina was great in helping me make a choice and informing me on what my meal included and my options. I ended up ordering the Santa Fe Chick'n with a side of fries and let me tell you it was so delicious. Kristina updated me on the app and advised me to download it and I will receive $5 off for my first purchase which of course I immediately downloaded with her waiting for me. How cool was that already saving money :) she gave me info on the app and how it works. I sat down to my food being brought to my table rather quickly. The price here seems to be very competitive to other places and the quality of food and service is 100% There is a parking lot out back with 90 min free parking or you can purchase a parking pass at the small box. Delicious! Taste amazing so much flavor! Iv eaten here several times and love the food But the Service is slacking. No one acknowledges you and the staff avoids looking at you and walks to the back instead of greeting you or helping you even for a simple pick up order. And I had to ask for my preordered drinks then was told no I didn't order any, and then I showed them the receipt that's was on the bag and I was given cups . I had to pour my own drinks for the pick up order all this after having to wave at the staff to acknowledge n help me awful customer service . read more

I love Veggie Grill and have been to several locations and generally find them to be all good. This Pasadena location was also good, however the macaroni and cheese was SUPER watery and the pasta was very overcooked. This is one of my favorite items at Veggie Grill so I was pretty disappointed. We also ordered the fork and knife mushroom burger which was just OK and not as tasty as the regular veggie burger or buffalo chicken patty burger. The location is not too far from the Pasadena Playhouse and open kind of late for the area (9:30PM on a Friday night). The bathrooms are kind of difficult to access as you have to ask them for a code. I wish restaurants would just tell you up front when you ordered so you don't have to go back in line later on just to ask about this. I still recommend this place if you want something healthy in Pasadena but I hope they can fix the mac and cheese because VG's non-dairy mac and cheese is usually so delicious. read more

This is my 2nd visit to this location. I've enjoyed their nachos and their crispy chicken sandwich with fries and both were so tasty.

I come here so often it's ridiculous, but I love their all hail kale salad. Light refreshing,healthy and delicious. It's just perfect for those days where you want to eat something healthy so I usually come here for dinner after a workout. The kale is marinated with a light dressing. I've Googled the recipe for the salad ,but honestly it takes a lot of preparation and isn't really worth making yourself unless you're making it in bulk. I'd definitely recommend this item. Their chicken strips/buffalo wings/tofu are all pretty good as well. There's usually a line,but it goes by very quickly. So we've been coming here since they have been opened. Today is the first time I was somewhat disappointed. The drink station was dirty. Ice and water dispenser was nasty and gross. I don't think I'd want my customers to drink from this if I owned this establishment. The price is pretty ridiculous. Why are you ruining a good thing? New trip and I got served a "fresh" little salad with wilted arugala. There was no comment from the person I returned it to, instead I got offered a salad without it, which is disappointing. If you eat arugala you know that it is very stiff and it stays like that for a long time, so that was old or left out, anything but "fresh". We accomplished this by ordering: * Crispy Chickin' Plate ($10.95 for fried chickin', cauli-mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy, and steamin' kale) * Harvest Bowl ($11.50 for field roast sausage, herb-roasted veggies, supergrains, steamed kale, mushroom + miso gravy, and hemp seeds), and * Chill Out Wings ($7.25 for wings with ranch and roasted red pepper sauce) The food, being what it was, was good and keeps you full, but your stomach will know all it had was not meat and still want something more. Great vegan/ vegetarian option that even meat-eaters can enjoy. The prices are extremely reasonable, the food is fresh, delicious and healthy. My friend and I both ordered salads, which took some time to come out, but they were worth the wait. They were light, the dressings/vinaigrettes on both were delicious and for just a couple dollars more I added on crispy tofu to pack in some more protein. My only complaint is that the design of the restaurant is a little strange because if you enter from the back you walk through the food pickup line for the servers which I find a bit strange. Too narrow of a space for both patrons and the kitchen staff to both fit through. Can't wait to get back and try more things off the menu. read more

I'm kind of torn between giving this place a 2-3 stars. I got their fish tacos which was pretty good for vegan food but then overlooked my visit again. I ordered over the phone and they asked me if I want to add beans and rice for a $1 more which I said yes to. My total ended up being about $13. I can get a pretty big entree for almost $15 but for the money, you can make something healthier at home or eat somewhere else. The calories are also pretty high. Almost 600 calories for three average size "fish" tacos? I rather make something healthy and organic at home. Veggie grill has some really amazing burgers that will really make you question why you haven't become a vegetarian or vegan yet. This restaurant is a completely vegan friendly place that is great for everyone! Usually I'm a big meat eater but this restaurant makes me rethink. They have a large selection of items that have meat substitutes inside them. Their southwest chicken sandwich is so amazing it's hard to believe it's not real chicken. I also tried two of their burgers and they were pretty good as well but still couldn't compare with the chicken. They have a lot of other appetizers as well which may be good to get if you're a big eater. The portions here aren't that large but is great if you're on a diet. Although this place is obviously more expensive than most restaurants. It's worthwhile because the food is definitely delicious. You can tell that the spent a lot of time preparing the dishes to ensure that they taste as good as the real meats. Overall I thought the restaurant was really great. Would definitely go back. But for whatever reason, this location CANNOT get delivery right. About 90% of the times that I've ordered delivery from this specific location, something has been wrong with the order. Most commonly, salad dressing is missing. If it had happened once, it wouldn't be a big deal. But orders have arrived to me incomplete or incorrect so many times, that it's worth knocking off two stars. I usually get a burger and fries to satisfy that craving but I had the Caesar salad for the first time the other night and it was really good. My only complaint is they use too much plastic. I felt bad when I saw the big plastic bowl the salad came in. And the desserts are all wrapped in plastic.
