Food was delicious!! I'm always looking for tofu options and this one was definitely a great pick. Reasonably priced and flavorful. We ordered online and it was ready sooner than the expected time. The bean and corn combination had a great sweetness to it. The green cilantro salsa was a perfect topping for the bowl and the tomatillos were well balanced mix in with the tofu. My bf got the carnitas bowl which he also mentioned was tasty and enjoyed the salsa. It is located inside of the allied food hall which is like a ghost kitchen. There's no seating inside, just an order and go type of establishment. I was skeptical at first but everything from ordering and picking up to eating was smooth and tasty. I was searching for healthy food options because my friend is gluten free and lo and behold this place covers all the allergies and more (non dairy, no gluten, no nuts, no refined sugar, minimally processed, etc...) It's not a sit down but you place your order and pick up, which is fine by me. We ordered for a party of 7 and our food was ready for pickup within 20 minutes. I must say very easy on the wallet. Now what about the food? I wasn't expecting much but it was delicious, hearty (you feel full without the bloat), and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. OMG, I stumbled upon this little spot after a late-night gym session. We realized we could make it before closing but had to order online. So, as we drove, I quickly put in a mobile order, not really knowing what kind of place this was. When we arrived, I saw this small building with lockers and a kiosk where you scan your order to pick up your food, so cute! Opening the locker, I found my bag with a little personalized note, which was such a nice touch. The portions were great the chicken with all the veggies was light yet filling, packed with protein, and their hot sauce was a must-try. However, after coming here multiple times, I did notice an issue. On one visit, I paid extra for more chicken, but the portion was actually smaller than when I ordered the regular serving. Wow so yummy, we were back up in Pasadena after a while and looking for something quick to grab before we headed back down toward OC. This place popped up on Yelp and hit the spot! We got the tofu mixed bowls and they were a yummy salad rice mixture with corn, black beans, tofu and delicious sauce. Only downside was we ordered add tofu for $2 each bowl and one was missing avo and the other only had a few tiny slices. But it was so tasty and affordable and easy to pick up that we still have it 5 stars! read more

It's 11 p.m. at night, and I'm trying to decide between ordering from Palmita (a ghost kitchen restaurant, I had never tried) or a predictable greasy fast food place. I roll the dice. Palmita it is. My expectations were low, but honestly the tofu grain bowl exceeded my expectations by a mile. I've gotta say, I'm impressed. Excellent tasting and flavorful all around, easy on pocketbook, and a healthy, late night option. It almost feels too good to be true. The mole sauce was bomb. This is my dream restaurant-- nutritionally dense, minimally processed, AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS food available as a late-night option! I haven't had food this yummy, nutritious, and well priced since moving from San Diego. We ate for the first time Friday night and ordered again Sunday night. The service was also above and beyond-- they were out of carnitas so they (unprompted) gave my boyfriend double chicken instead, wirh a sweet handwritten note. Palmita is part of the Allied to go services at 1060 Colorado in Pasadena. They have the most delicious bowls where you can pick a protein and salad topping and you know and can tell they're all fresh and it's very health conscious. It takes about 10 minutes to make your order and then you are sent a text to a locker and you just follow the directions and the locker pops open with your food. Go here many times, especially since there's only so many places open till 1 AM in the morning, but they are definitely filling And leaves you with leftovers for the morning. It's very decently priced. Is that becoming my favorite Late Night stop. It is a Mexican style meat and salad boxes and you can literally make your box. However, you want it.
