The portion is HUGE and could easily be shared. Service was fast, breakfast was yummy, and it's a good value for the amount of food you get. Would I wait forever or go way out of my way for it? Probably not. But if I'm in the area, craving a good breakfast burrito, and can grab one quickly, I'd absolutely be happy to come back.

I arrived anticipating my breakfast burrito, but I was quite disappointed to discover that the hot sauce had been changed. I find it difficult to understand why they would alter a component that was one of the reasons why people ordered their burritos.

Heard of this place in the top 5 list for LA Pastrami joints and I've never been. Was in Pasadena…read moretoday for work and happened to see the sign - YO had to roll in for an early lunch - 11AM. Service was fast on both ends. Place is clean as a whistle, even the Johns. Wowzer! I've never heard of a pastrami sandwich dipped before. Fantastic twist on what's normally a Jewish Deli experience in LA, with beautiful sliced meat, maybe add cheese (Swiss of course) and deli mustard. THIS is NOT that type of sandwich. Very thin sliced, maybe more like shaved pastrami. Bread fresh - I assume baked there? Dipped. Wow. That's all I had. Nothing else. Folks were ordering fries and burgers (they looked good). I kept it real first time and did the classic Highly recommend. Top 5, OK. Tough to beat the classic deli style sandwiches (I won't name them you know) but I'd be back here again no issues.

I am extremely disturbed by what I witnessed tonight at The Hat in Pasadena while having dinner…read morewith my family. At approximately 8:00 p.m., I personally saw an employee come out of the bathroom wearing gloves and carrying two bags of trash, which appeared to be from the bathroom. Without changing his gloves, he then picked up two of the towels used to wipe down the tables and proceeded to wipe down almost all of the dining tables. He also wiped down the counter area where customers pick up their food. The employee was wearing a hat and black glasses. I was sitting there watching this happen, and I honestly could not believe what I was seeing. Handling bathroom trash and then immediately cleaning dining tables and a food pickup area with the same gloves is an extremely serious sanitation concern. I am writing this review because management needs to be aware of what happened and address it immediately. Proper glove changing and sanitation procedures are essential in any restaurant, especially when employees are moving between bathroom cleaning and areas where customers eat and pick up their food. After witnessing this, my family and I will not be returning. Someone in management needs to take this seriously and make sure employees are properly trained on sanitation and food safety procedures.

Sandwiches by Connal is a Pasadena institution and an essential stop whenever I am back in my…read morehometown. I have such fond childhood memories of going there with my parents and grandparents and receiving what seemed like foot-tall soft-serve cones. They also make the best malts, terrific burgers, and excellent deli sandwiches. The pastrami on rye and grilled cheese are dependable favorites--or you can splurge on a classic banana split. Add fries, with or without chili, and you have the perfect old-school meal. When I was growing up, they called what most people know as a chocolate-and-vanilla twist a "ripple." That is still what I order--and what I call it--wherever I am in the world, even when people look at me funny. Whenever I am in Pasadena visiting family and friends, a stop at Connal's for a ripple, shake, burger, and fries is practically mandatory. Some places serve food; others hold generations of memories. Connal's does both.

I ordered a typical salami grinder. I have had done this for 30+ years+…read more Today there was no menu to-go, no menu inside the restaurant, and no available menu online. The salami was processed, not dry. It came with a major portion of yellow mustard (not requested), tons of finely chopped wet lettuce, no cheese. Horrible and soggy. I would have requested my money back, but it was a to-go order. The quality of the entire restaurant has gone, and it seems no one cares, as this has been going on for over a year. Inside the restaurant, the tables were empty and unclean. The wall decor sign for the restaurant, was broken and meant nothing as it was missing the store name. It was an icon restaurant, but now broken, and terribl.

Simply the best Baja Cali location , as well as best fish taco in neighboring cities…read more I have been coming for years and even moving out of the area I come here for their fish taco. The staff is great! I miss the old ones years before but Osvaldo and some of the newer staff like Daniel are so amazing and understanding that it still feels like home. Their aqua fresca is the best! Besides the regular horchata , I love their other rotating ones the most (eg passion fruit or guava ) punchy flavor that warms my hearts The best part about the fish taco is their thin crunchy crust with soft fish inside, good tartar sauce) Their condiments are also great (yellow peppers and pickled red onions). Prices are higher than before but Tuesday special is still very good. Their new Serrano sauce is actually quite good and different. The only thing I think worth improving is - I ordered some bowl a year back that tasted great but a little small. 5 stars as always. hope more patron come as they probably lost a lot of regulars after the fire. That is why I always choose this location . Thank you for the best aqua fresca and fish taco
