This is my first time picking up food from a 'shared kitchen' (in this case from Goop Kitchen in Pasadena). The 'restaurant' I ordered from was Moonbowls. My review here is of Moonbowls! I was in the mood for a Korean-style tofu bowl in my area and Google directed me to this 'kitchen'/restaurant'. I was not disappointed! The bowl was large, with plenty of choices of rice (and a cauliflower or noodle option, sides and 'dressings'. I ordered extra sides (besides my 3 choices that came standard with the bowl) and extra tofu... delish! The price point was appropriate for the amount of food in that bowl. I would get the sesame tofu bowl again in a heartbeat! There were Korean chicken choices and a beef choice, as well. If you were watching your carbs, the bowls also came as salads!! I was able to order sides on their own, too. Kimchi? Yep! Moonbowls also offered a small selection of beverages and sweets for after. I give Moonbowls 5 stars! Parking was a snap. 10+ parking spaces in the pharmacy parking lot were dedicated to the Goop Kitchen patrons (5 minute parking limit). Order before you pick up (or have it delivered)! The food is absolutely delicious!! We had the bulgogi bowl & the steak bowl. Both were so tasty and deceivingly filling as it didn't look like a lot of food but it sure did fill us up! Everything was seasoned well and the flavors all melded together wonderfully. But the real winner for me were the crispy cauliflower "wings"!! Oh boy, were those phenomenal along with the vegan ranch!! This place is a ghost kitchen so you can order online or via the little kiosks and wait to pick up your food from the lockers. Its pretty neat. There are people there if you have questions or run into any issues. It is also pricey but what isn't nowadays in this economy?? Its worth it, especially if you have food limitations like gluten or are vegan/vegetarian. read more

We ordered delivery and were excited to try this place since we were in the mood for healthy options. Got the chicken and broccoli bowl with a jammy egg, and it was sooo good! Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked--especially the egg, which was spot on. The only thing I wish could be better is the portion size, but maybe that's just how a healthy serving is supposed to be for one person, haha. Sadly, the reviews were right. This place sounds promising, but the food didn't quite live up to the hype. I ordered the spicy chili chicken bowl. The veggies and rice were tasty, but the chicken was extremely dry. One highlight was the pickup experience ,it felt like an Amazon package locker, but for food, which was pretty cool. The space was clean and modern, but I do wish there had been someone available to greet guests or help out, especially for those who might be visiting for the first time. read more

I ordered via the moon bowl app and picked up here at the Pasadena location. It's another one of those ghost kitchens where you checkin and a locker opens up with your food. Process was simple, no human interaction needed and you get your food. In terms of the food I loved that they have healthy Korean style fusion rice bowl with impossible meats. Here are my thoughts. Korean BBQ Cauliflower Wings - If you like cauliflowers or not I feel like these are an absolute banger. It's delicious, fried and tasty. Maybe not the healthiest but hey live a little. (5/5) Meat Lovers / Avocado Bulgogi - The bowls were pretty similar and I enjoyed the impossible meat and also the chicken. Felt the different veggies and sides worked together and were healthy. In a way reminded me of a Korean bibimbap. Only complaint is the rice felt kinda soggy, not sure if that's intentional or not but I think this would've been a 5 if the rice was dryer. Just my opinion. (4/5) They have a small parking lot on the left side of the pickup building and also some street parking on the nearby cross streets of the lot is full. There is a parking lot at rite aid which is right next to the pickup spot but you're not supposed to park there so be warned if you do. Great healthy food, I like it! read more

Currently running bogo deal through Ubereat. Had their chicken and broccoli and thought it was pretty solid taste wise. However the broccoli was a bit undercooked and the portion was on the smaller side. $15 for one was a bit much. Def would take advantage of the bogo deal before it expires! read more

I had the opportunity to try Moonbowls because my boss wanted to buy us lunch. Moonbowls is a Korean inspired build your own bowls type of restaurant. They offer different protein selections along with a variety of sides and sauces to choose from. I ended up ordering the BBQ chicken along with roasted sweet potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and avocado over a bed of rice. The food is pretty flavorful and the chicken was pretty tender and not dry at all. Since we ordered through delivery, we didn't get a chance to actually dine in and experience service. We will order more food in the near future since we were all pretty satisfied with it. read more

Very nice and reasonably healthy options for reasonable prices. Very tasty. Ordered once through Postmates and received a free bowl coupon ($15 value). Ordered again through the company's app, which was simple to navigate and provided nice explanations of what was included in each menu item. This second order was unfortunately mixed up somehow and I recieved the incorrect order. But because the staff has excellent customer service, they corrected their mistake, notified me of the error, and helped me fix the situation. 10 out of 10 would order again. read more

Love the food here and as soon as i downloaded the app to make the order, i got a confirmation text immediately that gave clear instructions on how they usually make food within 20min unless you put in a scheduled order, they give clear location address on where they are located within the "Allied Food to Go" building, how there's customer parking on the side of the building in the back lot on Colorado Blvd and to check in the tablet or scan the QR code on the wall to put in your order name/number to open up your locker. They also make it an open line of communication to text them if there's any issues and they appreciate feedback. Overall i like the healthy concept, the delicious contents in the bowl, and how efficient the service is. Ambiance was super casual and chill for those on the go! You can order inside too. read more

i was looking for something healthy and ordered the BBQ Chicken bowl bogo deal on UE. The portion was decent it filled me up after my pilates workout. The sweet bbq sauce has lot of flavor, i ordered an extra one because i love sauce but I didn't even need to use it since it came with the sauce on the side already. The only thing i wasn't a huge fan of was the corn, i'm not sure if it was supposed to be cold but i think it would have been better hot. I will most likely be ordering again and trying different sides. Packaging is also cute and comes with a coupon! read more

I used to live next to a place that served bibimbap and was missing the flavors, so decided to give this place a try. Definitely not what I was hoping for, but I was pleasantly surprised. Here's what I ordered: Chicken and broccoli bowl: This was very balanced. Not too heavy but filling. Good flavor. The sauce they gave me was a little on the sweeter side, but not overpoweringly. Crispy Chicken Nuggets; These were great. Crispy and light. Flavorful. Came with the same sauce as the bowl. Delicious! Moon Fries: Not as crisp as I was hoping, but could've been due to the time it took to get to my house. No biggie, though. Nothing an air fryer couldn't fix. But these were pretty good. Love the seasoning. Got their spicy special sauce to go with it which was spicy, garlicky, and creamy. Probably one of the best sauces I've had. Definitely recommend getting their spicy special sauce for everything. Chicken taco: Probably the worst item I got. This wasn't special. Not sure I'd call it a taco. It was just their chicken nuggets with some kale wrapped in a tortilla. Probably wouldn't order it again. Overall, I enjoyed it. Side dishes were tasteless and were basically things I could cut or make on my own. For example, broccoli was basically just steamed broccoli with no seasoning, cucumber slaw was just chopped cucumber slices, corn was not roasted and unseasoned, etc. We also ordered sauces and they were not provided to us. It's a ghost kitchen which I found to be kind of weird, but wouldn't mind if the food was amazing (or at least pretty good). The order was ready fast and portion size was decent, but the food was underwhelming. We got the avocado bulgolgi and Korean hot chicken. The avocado in the bulgolgi was very limited (only 3 slices), but it wasn't a very ripe avocado so I don't think I would have wanted more anyway. The potatoes were way undercooked and not really edible. The Korean hot chicken was just fried chicken with buffalo wing sauce, nothing really special. read more

This was outstanding! The steak bowl mixed with Chile sprinkled pineapple and avocado was so incredibly delicious! The meat was cut into small cubes and so was the pineapple making it easy to mix together and the Korean sauce on top was the best. Wow! read more
