Hot Honey Chicken Caramelized Garlic Steak
    Megan H.

Came to this location for the first time! Food: I ordered garlic steak. The flavors were there.. but the steak did not taste fresh. It was tough to chew on. I don't think I'll order it again.. my partner ordered the hot honey chicken and it tasted fine.. it wasn't too special according to him. Service: You order at the front and eat at a table. The tables were clean. Overall, the interior looks nice. We felt comfy. There's also outdoor seating! Parking: Parking fee wasn't too bad. It's $1.50 for 1 hour at the Playhouse parking lot. There's also a lot of street parking with meters. Overall: I would come back.. I just don't think I'll order the same thing. Maybe I'll stick to chicken next time. The chicken did taste better in my opinion. Free water is available and they even have the crunchy good ice!

Salad bowls! First time having it, my brother got it for me and it was delicious leaving me wanting more. Then we went another time but this time, I went physically into the shop. It was a nice place with indoor and outdoor seating. Walking in we got in line to make a salad bowl and service was quick and we went right after the lunch died down a bit. But this reminds me of places like chipotle or cava and these are my type of places! I had all the greens and proteins I wanted with being able dress up my salad bowls with sauces! Delicious and a bit pricey but once in a while it is good!

I was super excited to try this spot but honestly, I felt like it was super overpriced and overhyped! It's open daily 10am-9pm but it's open until 10pm on Friday and Saturday Parking can be tough since they don't have their parking lot but there is street parking and nearby paid parking structures Service was ok and pretty welcoming Inside was quite small with not much seating Menu had a good variety of "build-your-own" bowls, as well as a good selection of other bowls. Prices were very pricey so expect to pay ~$20/bowls! They charge extra for pretty much everything - e.g. avocado, cheese, etc. Got the Build Your Own with half salad & wild rice, steak, tomatoes, broccoli, sweet potatoes, apple, goat cheese, and avocado and it came out to $23! Got 3 dressings - Spicy Cashew, Lime Cilantro Vinaigrette, and Pesto Vinaigrette The steak was too overcooked and bland. Some of the arugula was not fresh. Honestly, everything tasted very bland and wasn't worth $23! My favorite dressing was Pesto Vinaigrette because it was more on the "lighter" side and it wasn't too salty. Strawberry Mint beverage was way too sweet. I was expecting it to be fresh and not so sweet so I was very disappointed. Overall, I will definitely not recommend or return unfortunately

I was so excited to try Sweetgreen after seeing TikTok videos of people enjoying what looked like the most healthy, delicious salads ever! I finally made it out on a Sunday afternoon and ordered the Chicken Parm Salad from their menu. The staff member who helped me was very friendly, and it's clear that the team does a great job keeping the restaurant clean and inviting. The salad itself was good...Honestly, nothing as amazing as the TikTok videos made it seem (lol). The main reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because I ended up with a really bad stomach ache after eating here. Update: I originally left a 3-star review because my first visit wasn't great, and I wasn't sure Sweetgreen was for me. However, their customer service reached out to me with genuine care and made sure to address my concerns. That kind of effort and attention really impressed me.

Sweetgreen is a similar dining style to chipotle where you line up and choose your type of bowl - salad, protein, a premade style, etc. and you can choose your toppings/add ons, etc. They give you a free slice of bread as well. This location has indoor and outdoor seating. I've tried their salmon, chicken avocado, and garlic steak bowls and all were delicious. Of their sides, I've tried the sweet potatoes and ripple fries. Both were good, but I think I like the sweet potatoes better. Tried the Ghia Le Ginger Spritz, didn't expect the fresh ginger grated inside, but it was good and not too sweet.

A great first experience at the Pasadena branch of Sweetgreen! Sweetgreen is one of those places that delivers exactly what it promises, which includes extremely fresh, customizable, healthy meals that feel lighter than many fast-casual chains. My to-go is the romaine lettuce with Blackened chicken, and their house made hot sauce adds a low calorie option to enhance those natural flavors. Certainly a place worth stopping at!

My eldest daughter and I were at Pasadena for a Yelp event. Prior to the event, we wanted to have a light dinner. We parked at Pasadena Plaza and walked about one block to find the restaurant of choice because I didn't want to be too far from the event. Nothing came to mind on the way to the end of the block, but on our way back we found sweetgreen. Funny, I've walked on Colorado Blvd in the past and never noticed them until that night. We didn't know what exactly is their food specialty, but we love sweet and we like green so why not give them a chance to intrigue us so here we are. The restaurant front door is deep inside with ample tables and chairs on the outside available for dining. Maybe that's why I never noticed them. Anyway, they weren't too busy at the time. Inside was very bright with decent bench seating. They have a water station which is the perfect drink of choice to compliment a healthy meal. Restrooms are available. Their specialty is bowls, salads, and protein plates. Adequate number of protein, veggie, and grain choices. You can build your own starting at a base price and you add on ingredients for additional costs. Or you may try one of their very own chef crafted and inspired creations. Btw, proteins, veggies, and grains are cooked in 100% extra virgin oil and avocado oil... now that's the way to do it! We at first got the Miso Glazed Salmon thinking it was enough for the both of us. It wasn't that big of a plate unfortunately. So we ended up also getting the BBQ Chicken Salad. The lady behind the ingredients station was very nice, patient, and helpful. I probably asked a lot more questions than the usual customer. Thank you miss! For both of our plate and salad, the ingredients were very fresh. I can taste the quality, freshness, and lightness in every bite. Salmon slab was a tad small IMHO. Wild rice was light and delicious. Veggies were cooked to perfection. Ripple fries + garlic aioli were amazing, but fries weren't hot and crispy. Probably they have been sitting there a while... will have to get them again when they are hot or at least warm. Tortilla chips in my salad, now that's a first for me... it worked very well. Love it! The slice of sourdough bread that comes with each entree was good. All the sauces were very tasty and complimented the entree nicely. I will definitely come back here for more healthy meals now that I know they are here. Thank you sweetgreen for staying true to your craft in serving healthy and delicious foods! Funny, Tender Greens is across the street from sweetgreen. Who has the better greens? LOL

This is my go to for when I'm feeling lazy for dinner and don't want to feel completely unhealthy! I've been here more times than I can count and I have never had a bad experience here! Service is always quick and friendly and the interior/exterior are always clean and well kept. I had their steak once and I wasn't the biggest fan but their chicken is really yummy, and veggies are always so fresh! I enjoy seeing all the locally sourced products that they use on the sign in the dining area! If you haven't been I highly recommend you trying it, and if you're already a Sweetgreen fan this is a solid location!

I'm an avid salad eater. I can literally eat it morning, noon, and night if left to my own vices. I was excited when Sweetgreens made their West Coast debut and now they are more readily available in SoCal to visit. It's the Chipotle style of service where you meet your Salad Angel (not their official title), but that's what I'm calling them and they ask you how they can make your day exceptional. My exceptional day at Sweetgreens is the Hummus Crunch Salad where I get to make so many substitutions that the old-timer Angels basically tell me I just made a Green Goddess salad (RIP from the OG menu) and yes, that's what I'm basically doing. The dressings are so tasty here, especially the green gooddess dressing. I also cannot say no to the bread. Their miso salmon or blacken chicken are also the stand out proteins for me. Indoor and outdoor. Seating available. Parking is by street and can be difficult.

    J. W.

Overall, Sweetgreen salads are really good. The staff are friendly and orders are done on time. Parking in the Pasadena theater district area is terrible, so plan some time to find parking if you're just stopping by to pick up. It's the one reason why we don't back more often. The restaurant is in an old theater so it's not easy to see off the street but there's plenty of seating and it's always been pretty quiet and empty if you want to dine in.

    Bianca C.

Sweet green is honestly my favorite place to get a salad. Yes, $20 ish for a salad is insane which is the only reason this is not a 5/5 review. However, the salad portions here are HUGE and sometimes I want a salad and don't want to pay for a million ingredients for one meal. I have been eating here for at least the past three years and I have never had a bad experience. The dressings here are also very good and I like you can customizes the bowls in different ways depending on what your diet is.

One of my to-go places for some healthy easy dinner. Their app is good with filtering out the allergens such as gluten and dairy which I'm intolerant to. And you can also substitute with other items if you don't like the items in any bowl or plate. Just note the price difference when you're trying to substitute with different items. There are some comparable items that will be same $ but some others will be extra. Also - if you're ordering in the store; you can ask them which one will be same price. Some of my favorites are Crispy Rice Bowl and the Shroomami (with tofu). Sometimes I order the fish taco bowl if I'm craving some salmon. App time track is pretty good and they're always letting you know if your order is not ready yet. Staff is pretty good with cleaning as it's open kitchen and you can see they usually always try to keep the counter and serving area clean. Love their ripple fries but I actually love the pickled ketchup even more. Wish their parking situation is much easier as the area is not forgiving at all with the parking and maybe this matter is something that Sweet Green can look into so customers can go there more often and not have to worry about parking.

I absolutely love sweetgreen! I always create my own bowl and get the lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette dressing and it's delicious-- tangy and spicy! I tried the new caramelized garlic steak and it was very tender and well seasoned. I definitely recommend if you like steak. The service is pretty fast as it is scooped right in front of you as you order. The workers move pretty fast and I never have to wait too long even when it's peak lunch hours. There is also an order online option for fast and easy pick up. Parking is a bit hard to find sometimes as it is all street parking in a busy area. Might have to park a bit further and walk.

It consisted of lettuce, avocado, corn, black beans, jicama, tomatoes, onion, quinoa, krispies, kale, cilantro, and cotija. The lettuce wasn't too fresh and there were some that were yellow green but not a big deal. It was packed with flavor even without the chipotle vinaigrette (relieved I got it on the side because I wasn't s big fan). The avocado was very fresh and plentiful. I added chicken for extra $4.74 and it was very tender! Overall, I enjoyed the salad but a bit pricey so it was a good one time experience! The Chicken Pesto Caprese ($14.10) was pretty good. It consisted of chicken, mozzarella, red peppers, pesto, and mixed greens. The greens were very fresh and the sandwich was packed with flavor. The chicken was a little dry but not a big deal. There was a lot of red pepper and it was a bit overwhelming so I wished there wasn't so much. Really enjoyed the pesto since it it wasn't too salty and was the cherry on top to the sandwich! I also really liked that the bread was soft and fresh. Got the "Not so Fried" Chicken Sandwich ($13.68) - 1/2 portion and it came with a side (paid extra $1.26) for tomato basil soup. It consisted of chicken, krispies, mustard pickle slaw, tomatoes, onions, and herb aioli. The bread was very fresh and soft. I'm glad I got this in half portion because I thought this was just ok and nothing special. The tomato basil soup was very oily and salty so wasn't too enjoyable. The Pomegranate Mint Lemonade ($5.10) was sooo sweet. It was refreshing but the mint was a little too overpowering. Definitely recommend adding ice and/or water otherwise it's way too sweet! On May 7th, 2026 at 3:30 PM I ordered for pickup my usual meat and potatoes plate. Weirdly, the order was ready for pickup in a couple of minutes when usually it would be ready in 10 minutes which would have been less sketchy. I should have trusted my instincts. I walked in to pick up my order and there were zero customers around, usually there are a few customers eating at the tables. Sign that the quality has dwindled and the regulars aren't retuning. I get back home to treat myself (I spent $28 for the meal plus a drink.) Much to my dismay I opened the plate and was so disappointed. It was half of what normally comes in the box but the potatoes were stacked high and of course extremely oily. I was like ok let's just eat this because I don't have more time to find another place to get food plus I've already splurged. The chicken was undercooked and rubbery and came with no chicken breast like it normally does just some boney legs. Since I was so hungry and paid the extra money for "light" chicken I still ate it. I'm sick now, the night of May 8th I'm still on the toilet. Save your money and go to Zankou if you want good rotisserie chicken they've been doing it right in LA since the 80s. Or Costco; 5$ chicken unless you want a $32 dollar chicken here to make you and your family sick and poor.

I got the Tomato Basil Soup. I also paid +$1.00 for Chimichurri. The 1/2 sandwich looked pretty small but it was stuffed with very generous portions of steak! It was an incredible medium rare and it was grilled very nicely. It was slightly dry and wished it had a bit more flavor but not a big deal! The Chimichurri was a bit disappointing. It seemed more like olive oil with bits of parsley than a sauce made with olive oil and blended herbs and parsley. The tomato basil soup was good. It seemed more like tomato sauce than a soup since the consistency was very thick. I liked that they used fresh tomatoes and it was packed with flavor. Also, really enjoyed the complimentary toast and croutons! Overall, I thought it was a good deal with the promo but a bit overpriced if I were to pay full price. I enjoyed the steak but thought the Chimichurri and tomato basil soup was just ok.

The food was amazing, and the waiters and employees were incredibly sweet and attentive. What really stood out to me is how child-friendly and pet-friendly they are. We came here for our anniversary dinner, and everyone was so kind and excited about our pet bird -- people were truly in awe! I ordered the protein-style hamburger wrapped in lettuce with the kale salad, and oh my gosh... it was SO good. The portions were generous too. I wasn't left feeling heavy after eating -- I felt happy, light, satisfied, and still had half my food left over. The chef came out to take a picture with our bird. This place deserves five stars all the way. We will definitely be coming back!

To note- The kitchen is open, so you can see from the bar into the back with staff working. I don't care how good the food is, I lost my appetite and won't be going back. The waitress completely understood and she was great about it all. I don't write many reviews but this needs to be addressed by management. I get that gross stuff happens in kitchens, but don't do it in front of all the customers in the bar. I really liked this place too. Pity.
