    Chicken Pesto Parm
    Mariana G.

I was so excited to try Sweetgreen after seeing TikTok videos of people enjoying what looked like the most healthy, delicious salads ever! I finally made it out on a Sunday afternoon and ordered the Chicken Parm Salad from their menu. The staff member who helped me was very friendly, and it's clear that the team does a great job keeping the restaurant clean and inviting. The salad itself was good...Honestly, nothing as amazing as the TikTok videos made it seem (lol). The main reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because I ended up with a really bad stomach ache after eating here. Update: I originally left a 3-star review because my first visit wasn't great, and I wasn't sure Sweetgreen was for me. However, their customer service reached out to me with genuine care and made sure to address my concerns. That kind of effort and attention really impressed me.

Sweetgreen is a similar dining style to chipotle where you line up and choose your type of bowl - salad, protein, a premade style, etc. and you can choose your toppings/add ons, etc. They give you a free slice of bread as well. This location has indoor and outdoor seating. I've tried their salmon, chicken avocado, and garlic steak bowls and all were delicious. Of their sides, I've tried the sweet potatoes and ripple fries. Both were good, but I think I like the sweet potatoes better. Tried the Ghia Le Ginger Spritz, didn't expect the fresh ginger grated inside, but it was good and not too sweet.

A great first experience at the Pasadena branch of Sweetgreen! Sweetgreen is one of those places that delivers exactly what it promises, which includes extremely fresh, customizable, healthy meals that feel lighter than many fast-casual chains. My to-go is the romaine lettuce with Blackened chicken, and their house made hot sauce adds a low calorie option to enhance those natural flavors. Certainly a place worth stopping at!

My eldest daughter and I were at Pasadena for a Yelp event. Prior to the event, we wanted to have a light dinner. We parked at Pasadena Plaza and walked about one block to find the restaurant of choice because I didn't want to be too far from the event. Nothing came to mind on the way to the end of the block, but on our way back we found sweetgreen. Funny, I've walked on Colorado Blvd in the past and never noticed them until that night. We didn't know what exactly is their food specialty, but we love sweet and we like green so why not give them a chance to intrigue us so here we are. The restaurant front door is deep inside with ample tables and chairs on the outside available for dining. Maybe that's why I never noticed them. Anyway, they weren't too busy at the time. Inside was very bright with decent bench seating. They have a water station which is the perfect drink of choice to compliment a healthy meal. Restrooms are available. Their specialty is bowls, salads, and protein plates. Adequate number of protein, veggie, and grain choices. You can build your own starting at a base price and you add on ingredients for additional costs. Or you may try one of their very own chef crafted and inspired creations. Btw, proteins, veggies, and grains are cooked in 100% extra virgin oil and avocado oil... now that's the way to do it! We at first got the Miso Glazed Salmon thinking it was enough for the both of us. It wasn't that big of a plate unfortunately. So we ended up also getting the BBQ Chicken Salad. The lady behind the ingredients station was very nice, patient, and helpful. I probably asked a lot more questions than the usual customer. Thank you miss! For both of our plate and salad, the ingredients were very fresh. I can taste the quality, freshness, and lightness in every bite. Salmon slab was a tad small IMHO. Wild rice was light and delicious. Veggies were cooked to perfection. Ripple fries + garlic aioli were amazing, but fries weren't hot and crispy. Probably they have been sitting there a while... will have to get them again when they are hot or at least warm. Tortilla chips in my salad, now that's a first for me... it worked very well. Love it! The slice of sourdough bread that comes with each entree was good. All the sauces were very tasty and complimented the entree nicely. I will definitely come back here for more healthy meals now that I know they are here. Thank you sweetgreen for staying true to your craft in serving healthy and delicious foods! Funny, Tender Greens is across the street from sweetgreen. Who has the better greens? LOL

This is my go to for when I'm feeling lazy for dinner and don't want to feel completely unhealthy! I've been here more times than I can count and I have never had a bad experience here! Service is always quick and friendly and the interior/exterior are always clean and well kept. I had their steak once and I wasn't the biggest fan but their chicken is really yummy, and veggies are always so fresh! I enjoy seeing all the locally sourced products that they use on the sign in the dining area! If you haven't been I highly recommend you trying it, and if you're already a Sweetgreen fan this is a solid location!

I'm an avid salad eater. I can literally eat it morning, noon, and night if left to my own vices. I was excited when Sweetgreens made their West Coast debut and now they are more readily available in SoCal to visit. It's the Chipotle style of service where you meet your Salad Angel (not their official title), but that's what I'm calling them and they ask you how they can make your day exceptional. My exceptional day at Sweetgreens is the Hummus Crunch Salad where I get to make so many substitutions that the old-timer Angels basically tell me I just made a Green Goddess salad (RIP from the OG menu) and yes, that's what I'm basically doing. The dressings are so tasty here, especially the green gooddess dressing. I also cannot say no to the bread. Their miso salmon or blacken chicken are also the stand out proteins for me. Indoor and outdoor. Seating available. Parking is by street and can be difficult.

Overall, Sweetgreen salads are really good. The staff are friendly and orders are done on time. Parking in the Pasadena theater district area is terrible, so plan some time to find parking if you're just stopping by to pick up. It's the one reason why we don't back more often. The restaurant is in an old theater so it's not easy to see off the street but there's plenty of seating and it's always been pretty quiet and empty if you want to dine in.

Sweet green is honestly my favorite place to get a salad. Yes, $20 ish for a salad is insane which is the only reason this is not a 5/5 review. However, the salad portions here are HUGE and sometimes I want a salad and don't want to pay for a million ingredients for one meal. I have been eating here for at least the past three years and I have never had a bad experience. The dressings here are also very good and I like you can customizes the bowls in different ways depending on what your diet is.

One of my to-go places for some healthy easy dinner. Their app is good with filtering out the allergens such as gluten and dairy which I'm intolerant to. And you can also substitute with other items if you don't like the items in any bowl or plate. Just note the price difference when you're trying to substitute with different items. There are some comparable items that will be same $ but some others will be extra. Also - if you're ordering in the store; you can ask them which one will be same price. Some of my favorites are Crispy Rice Bowl and the Shroomami (with tofu). Sometimes I order the fish taco bowl if I'm craving some salmon. App time track is pretty good and they're always letting you know if your order is not ready yet. Staff is pretty good with cleaning as it's open kitchen and you can see they usually always try to keep the counter and serving area clean. Love their ripple fries but I actually love the pickled ketchup even more. Wish their parking situation is much easier as the area is not forgiving at all with the parking and maybe this matter is something that Sweet Green can look into so customers can go there more often and not have to worry about parking.

I absolutely love sweetgreen! I always create my own bowl and get the lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette dressing and it's delicious-- tangy and spicy! I tried the new caramelized garlic steak and it was very tender and well seasoned. I definitely recommend if you like steak. The service is pretty fast as it is scooped right in front of you as you order. The workers move pretty fast and I never have to wait too long even when it's peak lunch hours. There is also an order online option for fast and easy pick up. Parking is a bit hard to find sometimes as it is all street parking in a busy area. Might have to park a bit further and walk.

Finally tried sweetgreen couple of weekends ago and was pleasantly surprised. It is fast-casual "higher-end Chipotle" as my husband called it, lol. It can be quite daunting to order, but just know you can ask questions! I'd skip the roasted chicken next time because it was super dry. I got the Chicken Pesto Parm, and you are able to substitute any ingredient you don't want for something else - though there may be a surcharge depending on the ingredient. I didn't want the breadcrumbs, but I can't remember what I substituted instead. I enjoyed my Pesto Parm salad very much, minus the chicken. Hubby created his own bowl. If you ask for the sauces on the side, they will not toss. If you order w/ sauces mixed, they'll ask if you want them to toss/mix for you. My one gripe is their water machine is super slow. Open indoor space with a few tables and booths, and a few tables outside as well (dog friendly from what I saw). Parking is either street parking, or you can pay & park at Target nearby.

I am literally writing this as I cry about how badly the craving is. It had been a minute since I've had sweetgreen. I also have not given enough credit to the one so happily placed in old town Pasadena taking over such a unique old theater looking venue. Though I do not always write on chains, I really wanted to after that miso salmon bowl this location whipped up for me... With a few personal choice add-ons, of course. Now enough of the small talk and onto the order! Got the Miso Glazed Salmon from one of their protein plate options. If you're a salmon-lover, trust me on this one. The pickled onions were perfectly vinegary and a great pop of color and crunch along the crispy onions and juicy bite of cucumber. Spicy cashew and avocado added in the right amount of creaminess with crispy rice and seasoned mushrooms worthy add ons. All on top of some nori and white rice for $17? Honestly, its my weekly dream meal if I wasn't on such a student budget. For now, it's one of those treat yourself meals when cooking and washing dishes feels absolutely draining. My mouth is salivating every time I reimagine having this meal. My partner's bowl was made by him which consisted of steak, kale, sweet potatoes and quite a few mixed in ingredients that surprisingly came together in a delicious bite. Somehow this was one of those spots we wished we made a sooner go-to spot. The inside also was very modern and the woman serving us complimented us for good taste. Clearly, I could imagine her saying that to any customer but I did let this comment sink in a little because that first bite of my bowl was more delicious than I expected. You have no idea how much I wish I could teleport this meal to myself whenever I feel down from a long day, if I got out of finally getting to squeeze in a workout class, or if I just needed a quick date spot with my favorite person. Okay, enough words... I'm due for another ASAP!

Sweetgreen offers a variety of ways to build a delicious salad. SERIOUSLY DELICIOUS. The ambiance is okay. It felt kinda like a healthy fastfood vibe. Almost like a salad chipotle. Nothing crazy or special. The service was okay. It was my first time going to sweetgreen and nobody greeted me or helped me figure out that I was supposed to order chipotle style until about 5 minutes in though I was the only person there. I was very confused, but not confrontational enough to say anything. Eventually someone asked if I had been helped and when I said no she got someone to help me and explained how sweetgreen works. (I'm not from this area, we don't have a place like this where I live- wish we did though bc great food). The girl who did help me was very helpful and explained everything to me. I wish I got her name. Shout out to her for her patience. Overall, would return. The meal is enough for two meals, huge portions.

I tried the Chicken Caesar Wrap and the Margherita Pizza. My most candid thoughts: Margherita Pizza: This resembled more of a flat bread than a pizza. The sauce they used tasted like tomato pasta sauce from a jar and not necessarily pizza sauce. The dough tasted somewhat undercooked and thick, and the sauce and cheese did not stick well to the dough. Very bland in flavor. Huge portion though for the price. 5.5/10 Chicken Caesar Wrap: Very underwhelming as the chicken tasted dry and rough. I really liked the Spicy Caesar sauce though. It really spiced things up and added more flavors to the bland wrap. Portion was great and lettuce was fresh. I loved that they added avocados. However, it was definitely not the best Chicken Caesar wrap I've ever had and I would most definitely not be dying to order it again. 7/10 Parking is convenient as there is a free lot nearby. It's the perfect shareable meal and worth every single penny. It's been a minute since I wrote a review, but these guys deserve the love. The photos I snapped don't do the chicken, salad, or any of the fixings justice, but trust me: if you're hunting for some of the best herb-roasted chicken in town, Kismet is a must-try. The name fits the vibe perfectly--meant to be. I'm picky about rotisserie/herb-roasted chicken and always benchmark against heavy hitters: Mi Piace's Prezzemolo (still my all-time favorite), the long-gone Lemon Herb Roasted Chicken from Cheesecake Factory's heyday, and more recently, Verde in Costa Mesa's killer Lemon & Sumac half chicken (easily top 3). Kismet's half chicken holds its own in that elite group. It's juicy, tender, and packed with bright Mediterranean flavor--a healthier, more refined take on the classic Zankou Chicken style I've loved forever. What pushes it over the edge for me is the quality: free-range, non-GMO, antibiotic-free, air-chilled, and raised right here in California. Bottom line: Kismet belongs on any serious "greatest herb-roasted chicken" list (at least mine). If you haven't tried it yet, go fix that. Highly recommend.

I had 2 other experiences prior to this where the chicken seemed off but I kept trusting it would be as good as it when I first had Kismet when it first opened back in March 2025. On May 7th, 2026 at 3:30 PM I ordered for pickup my usual meat and potatoes plate. Weirdly, the order was ready for pickup in a couple of minutes when usually it would be ready in 10 minutes which would have been less sketchy. I should have trusted my instincts. I walked in to pick up my order and there were zero customers around, usually there are a few customers eating at the tables. Sign that the quality has dwindled and the regulars aren't retuning. I get back home to treat myself (I spent $28 for the meal plus a drink.) Much to my dismay I opened the plate and was so disappointed. It was half of what normally comes in the box but the potatoes were stacked high and of course extremely oily. I was like ok let's just eat this because I don't have more time to find another place to get food plus I've already splurged. The chicken was undercooked and rubbery and came with no chicken breast like it normally does just some boney legs. Since I was so hungry and paid the extra money for "light" chicken I still ate it. I'm sick now, the night of May 8th I'm still on the toilet. Save your money and go to Zankou if you want good rotisserie chicken they've been doing it right in LA since the 80s. Or Costco; 5$ chicken unless you want a $32 dollar chicken here to make you and your family sick and poor.
