I hate hate hate to write a bad review for a small business but I really don't have anything good to say about this nail salon. I only came here after my regular salon couldn't fit me in for an appointment. I called in for a gel pedicure and gel full set. They have a small selection of polishes but I was still able to find something I liked. I sat down for my pedicure first. Like one of the other reviews mentioned, they don't use liners for the bowl. They also don't use a fresh pack of sanitized tools on each customer. My nail lady was using the same tools as the lady next to me who was doing a pedicure on a customer. I should've walked out because that is nasty but I was desperate! Next I went in for me mani. I couldn't put my hands down because the towel she put down for me was soaking wet. I also had 3 different techs work on my nails because they were so busy but they also kept taking more appointments and were overwhelmed by the time I was leaving. Another thing I didn't really appreciate was that they forced me to use Venmo for my entire service when I only asked if I could tip using Venmo since I didn't have any cash on me. My nails weren't bad but they weren't good either. My cuticles were messy with dry acrylic powder all over my fingers. Some nails were bulky and bumpy. My pedicure was a ok. Deff not a place a recommend or will visit...even if I'm desperate. read more

FOUND MY NEW NAIL SHOP!!! Having grown up in PG county, and been getting my nails done for over 10 years, I know what I like, and I know what quality is. I moved to VA back in 2013, and I've been searching for a decent shop since then. Most of the shops are overpriced for basic services in NoVa, (I paid 63 for a gel fill in, after being quoted 35) and give out work that doesn't hold up for the normal two weeks. Needless to say, I'd been venturing back to PG for the WHOLE summer for fills and pedis. However, I can be lazy, and I was CONVINCED there had to be a good shop with reasonable prices. I was right. It's Van's. The work was amazinggg, the service was pleasant, and the prices were right. It's a no frills shop, but if I wanted 'extras' I'd go to a spa. I want to point out that there is a barber shop inside the salon with men consistently coming in and out for haircuts. The place is not a fancy salon but more of a quick service salon. The employees are consistently chatting with each other in their native language while your sitting there feeling awkward. so glad i found this place when i did. people haven't stopped complimenting me on my nails since I got them done and that is just a genuinely awesome feeling to have when the recommended nail color by your nail lady hits the mark. Overall I will say I was super pleased by how attentive and careful the ladies here are and how quick they are to response and get you in and out. The rush wasn't one of your we're going to do a half ass job just to get you out of here but rush like I will do it gently cause I am doing two clients at once but both of us walked out of there with bomb nails. I was also surprised at the woman power in this salon. Some dude (ethnicity will not be disclosed) kept rambling about how girls sucks and his daughter is shit and how he's proud of kicking her out and beating her in public because this is America and us kids want to have it the American way and the salon owner went offfffff and I mean like in the nicest way possible telling him to sock it and then even said good bye hope you have a nice day. Needed my nails done ASAP cuz I am traveling OT tomorrow and I wasn't able to find anywhere that had availability for me. Then I called vans and they told me to come in right now. As soon as I got in there I was greeted and me and my daughter were able to get our gel manicures and pedicures. I love the way they cleaned my pedicure and got in there really well to remove all of the dead skin. It was a pleasure finding this spot because you can tell they've been here for a long time most of their clients are loyal customers that I've been going to him for over 17 years. All I can say about this place is "Eh...". I came here based on reviews and I was in desperate need of a manicure. There were two ladies working, one I could tell was a helper, the other I assumed was the owner. The helper started on my gel manicure (gel removal, filing, cuticle cut, etc.), while the owner was doing another manicure, someone else's eyebrow tattoo and watching over the helper's work. Apparently, the helper wasn't moving fast enough because the owner took my hand from her and rushed through my manicure at various stages of the process. They were so rough with my nail beds and filed the hell out of them. I am a little concerned as to what my nails look like underneath the gel polish. However, I was in and out in less than an hour, the service was cheaper than what I'm used to ($28), and my nails look pretty good. I can't say I'd definitely come back, but I recommend being vocal about their technique if you are concerned for the health of your nails, because they are not. Good luck!! read more

I've been here 2 times, the first time I went they were so friendly and they did everything great and I was the only one in the salon. The second time I went it was like madness there was one lady doing everyone's nails and if people came in to do their eyebrows the lady would stop doing my nails and do other things. On top of that I told the other lady that worked there that my nails needed something fixing and she basically screamed at me and told the lady who was already doing my nails and they just rushed through it. I attempted to come here, because of the reviews and prices. When I came, the nail tech asked what i need done, i said I need a full set. She then looked at my nails and said no you don't. I explained to her why i need one and she said well she can't do them. I asked if she's the only one there and she said no there's another tech but she's busy. I am not sure why she had an attitude. I asked for a full set because the last tech who did my refills did a horrible job and I just wanted new nails, regardless they're my nails that I would pay her! And full set costs more so obviously I don't café for price. Anyways I went to KNN Nails which was 5 mins from there, I know the owners and they're great and I told them my issue with the full set and when they took them off they agreed, they said they look good but the popped off my nails too easily. read more

Tried out this place due to the strong yelp reviews and everywhere ive tried so far just doesnt satisfy me as nobody is as good as my former nail technician . First of all , this place was located in a plaza i didnt even knew existed in springfield . When i walked in , i noticed how hot it was in the store ... So i assumed they didnt want to use the AC . The store is small and theres only like 3 nail technicians . I got Van since everyone said she was good . Being half vietnamese i understood some of the things they said and i felt rather offended when she said to her coworkers "this girl has such small nails why even bother doing it" . From there i knew i made a mistake even coming here ... So rude . I got a full set of gel acrylics and she rushed through it as more customers came in and one customer apparently had an appointment but she forgot .. Halfway through she told the other customer to sit down and decided she could do two ppl at one time ... Who does tht . Other than not filing my nails unevenly , nothing was really outstandin about her skills . The nails she did for me were thick and unprofessionally done .
