I usually ask for Helen because she's really careful, jolly and never rushes the pampering process.

We have also gotten our other friends to come to Kate and they also love her. Kate is an independent nail artist and is absolutely amazing at what she does. She pays attention to detail, will take time to prepare your nails properly (including proper gel removal that won't damage your nails), and is super sweet and mindful all around. You will notice the difference between her service and a typical nail salon you go to. I certainly did, along with the amazing results she produces.. this and her insanely low prices compared to nail salons (I would be paying around $200 at other salons for the same complicated designs I get vs less than $100) are what got me and many others hooked. SHE ONLY DOES GEL (no extensions) BUT LISTEN UP FOLKS.. the gel she uses is so STRONG. I used to think only SNS could keep my nails long and strong but NO. I keep my naturally long nails now with her gel and they rarely break.. and I have WEAK thin nails. So if you want long nails but currently have short nails, just go and get a cute manicure from Kate and the next time you go to her your nails will be long and you can have a naturally long nailed manicure. Once you go to KATE you can NEVER go back.

It was either the acrylic or old polish but they decided to charge for fixes if it was needed after 3 days! Wendy did a great job - I had all the old acrylic removed along with the few nails still hanging on. I got a full set with 2 designs on each hand, gel. The total charge was $80. I like Wendy's style and care. The designs were beautiful! The only downside was so much confusion when I arrived. They kept yelling for some guy who eventually came over to me. But, he insisted someone else help me as he was not good at even a simple design. Communication in English was very difficult. Still, if my nails hold up for at least 2 weeks, I will return.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable…read more I booked a Gel-X manicure and pedicure the day before my birthday and spent hours in the salon only to leave without the manicure I came for and with damaged natural nails. Early in the appointment, I pointed out multiple times that red polish from my previous set was still visible underneath. My concerns were not taken seriously, and a full Gel-X set was applied anyway. The red remained visible, and the entire set ultimately had to be removed. After the first Gel-X set was removed, a second Gel-X set was applied despite not having tips that fit my nails properly. The tips had large visible gaps along the sides of multiple nails, particularly my thumbs. When I pointed this out, I was told they did not have a size that fit. Instead of stopping the service, an attempt was made to fill the gaps with builder gel. The lack of technique made the builder gel chunky and they would not file it down, leaving an uneven texture. If the salon did not have tips that fit my nails, the service should not have proceeded in the first place. I asked not to proceed with the service and have the nails to be removed. The problems did not stop there. There was visible debris under the nails, leftover glue, uneven shaping, and repeated issues that I had to point out myself. Throughout the appointment, my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed and the tech ignored my requests. The removal process was especially upsetting. The technician was very rough with my hands, soaking my fingers in pure acetone and then ripping off the nails with her fingers. I repeatedly asked for a different removal approach (filing) and eventually had to pull my hands away to prevent further damage. By the end of the appointment, my nails had been heavily over-filed, were significantly shorter than when I arrived, and one nail was filed so short that it's painful. I walked in with healthy natural nails that I had spent months growing out. I left with thin, brittle, painful nails after two failed Gel-X applications and no completed manicure. The condition of my nails when I left was worse than when I arrived. The only redeeming part of my appointment was the second technician who stepped in at the end. She listened, treated me with kindness and respect, removed glue residue, corrected some of the damage, cleaned up the shaping, and did her best to salvage the situation. I genuinely appreciated her help. I was not charged for the Gel-X manicure and was given a discount on the pedicure, which was the right thing to do. However, that does not change the fact that I lost hours of my day, lost the healthy nails I had worked hard to grow, and left without the service I came in for the day before my birthday. I will never return and I recommend you do not go to this salon

My nail tech, Rose took such good care of me from start to finish. I got the deluxe pedicure package and it was honestly one of the best pedicures I had in a long time. From the scrub and callous remover to the massage, she really took her time and was very detail oriented. I even had a cracked nail on my big toe and she was able to fix it up with a little acrylic in a way that looked so natural and matched my other big toes' nail in size and shape perfectly. Although this salon is a bit out of the way for me still, I'm going to prioritize getting back sooner than later (especially if I'm in need of a pedi.) Thanks so much, Sunflower!

Unfortunately, my experience with Chinh was disappointing from start to finish. While she wasn't rude, the quality of work was subpar. My nails were cut significantly shorter than requested, my cuticles were rushed, and she did not clean under my nails at all. The gel application was also clearly low-quality; it is now Sunday and the polish has already completely fallen off two of my nails. What was most unsettling was the service experience. Midway through, right after she clipped my nails, she insisted I pay for the service immediately. I noticed every other customer in the salon was permitted to pay at the end of their appointment. As a Black man, being singled out and forced to pay mid-service while everyone else paid at the finish felt incredibly disrespectful and unwelcoming. I was looking for a long-term shop to keep my hands looking professional, but between the poor craftsmanship and the disparate treatment, I will not be back.

A few weeks before they sold the business, I had decided I was never coming back, after going to them for almost a decade. I was a loyal customer who always booked one of the most expensive pedicures, yet the last three pedicures I had, they rushed through them. The last one I got in July was only 20 minutes long after my nail tech's next client came in early. People getting regular pedicures at the same time next to me were still going when I was finished. When I complained, I was told I was wrong by Tina for a complaining. I just want to be clear this was the third time it happened in several months -- I told her that -- and she dismissed it and loudly said I was wrong. Honestly I said I would never go back to them. But when I saw Ivy had changed hands, I came back with cautious optimism today. I am so glad I did. I booked the Ivy Special for $80 with Nina and it was wonderful. She worked on me for a full hour with strong and skillful hands. The service included a soak, massage, mask, hot stones, and then more massage. It was absolute bliss. I will hands down go back to the new Ivy's and will recommend you give them a shot. The salon itself is clean and professional. The pedicure chair tubs still have protective bag coverings that are switched out between clients, and all tools come sterilized in sealed bags. The care and attention to detail are clear. If you had written Ivy Nails off in the past, give them another try. The new owners have completely turned it around. Ask for Nina, she is fantastic.

There was a steady flow of people but it wasn't overly crowded around 1:30pm. There's parking in front and around the side. The space is clean and bright. My technician was Lucy and she offered me a drink (soda, water, tea) which was really nice. I got the classic gel pedi ($55) an acrylic fill with gel ($45) + chrome (+$15). The pedi was relaxing - I like the scrub that they use - and massage chairs are solid. Overall she did a good job with everything (if I'm being a little picky, some corners were sharp versus smooth/rounded and the dark color felt like I might have needed a third coat to be more even). The acrylic fill was not bad. With the drill, sometimes it was a little too rough on my cuticles to the point I was wincing or said "ow" a couple of times (this left my fingers a little sore the next day). Some of the acrylic powder didn't make it all the way to the edge of my nail on two fingers. The painting was decent; though some of the nails had too much paint so it was on my cuticle. For the chrome, it was pretty but this being my first time ever, I didn't know until after that I ended up getting more of just a shimmer (versus something like the Hailey Bieber glazed donut/reflective chrome look). All in all, the experience was pleasant and I'd come to this nail spa again! **Update:** it's been just past two weeks post service and many of the edges of the acrylic seem lifted. My one thumb nail, both the acrylic and chrome/paint has chipped off around the tip. Not sure if I'd go back for another acrylic fill here now... Color reference: 870 DND tea time - sheer light pink +chrome for mani 750 DND fudgesicle - reddish brown
