But once th mail tech/Hanna began my pedicure, she rushed through it so quickly that I was finished before my friends, despite us all getting the same service. She also skipped the hot lotion foot massage entirely -- both of my friends received it, I did not. I also couldn't help noticing that I was treated differently than my friends, who are white -- I can't say for certain why, but it's something I noticed and want to be transparent about. Given how rushed and incomplete the service was, I chose not to tip. When I raised the issue with the manager (Ashley) , I was met with a dismissive "oh" and nothing more -- no apology, no effort to address it. I would not recommend Aura Day Spa. Equal service shouldn't be a surprise -- it should be the standard, and that's where I'll spend my money!!!

I like Wendy's style and care. The designs were beautiful! The only downside was so much confusion when I arrived. They kept yelling for some guy who eventually came over to me. My nail tech, Rose took such good care of me from start to finish. I got the deluxe pedicure package and it was honestly one of the best pedicures I had in a long time. From the scrub and callous remover to the massage, she really took her time and was very detail oriented. I even had a cracked nail on my big toe and she was able to fix it up with a little acrylic in a way that looked so natural and matched my other big toes' nail in size and shape perfectly. My nails were cut significantly shorter than requested, my cuticles were rushed, and she did not clean under my nails at all. The gel application was also clearly low-quality; it is now Sunday and the polish has already completely fallen off two of my nails. What was most unsettling was the service experience. Midway through, right after she clipped my nails, she insisted I pay for the service immediately. I noticed every other customer in the salon was permitted to pay at the end of their appointment. As a Black man, being singled out and forced to pay mid-service while everyone else paid at the finish felt incredibly disrespectful and unwelcoming. I was looking for a long-term shop to keep my hands looking professional, but between the poor craftsmanship and the disparate treatment, I will not be back.

Sad negative review…read more I was really hopeful about my gel manicure here, especially since I just moved close by & have two wedding weekends in a row. My nail tech was very sweet, and I tipped her $15 on a $40 service because I appreciated her kindness. Unfortunately, the manicure was a little uneven which I def would overlook, but then my nails started chipping and bubbling after just two days (got the manicure last Thursday, started chipping on Sat before the wedding)....which is wild bc I usually go 1.5 months in between gel manicures (&yes I know that's insane - but if they last, which they ALWAYS have in the past, who am I to I say otherwise??) I usually try to overlook negative reviews ,since people rarely post positive ones - but I understand them now for here. I'm really disappointed, and I guess I'll have to get my nails redone before next weekend somewhere else BASICALLY: Sweet employees, but the end result isn't worth paying for the service
