I've gone here for pedicures and manicures and I keep coming back because this place is so great! I go to Kim for hard gel manicures. I'm so impressed by how long they last! I've kept them for a month before and they don't chip! Kim and all the staff are very kind and welcoming and considerate of what you want. read more

I've been going here for years, and has been my go to nail place in the Springfield area; however recently I had one of the worst gel manicures done and the business did nothing to rectify it. Mistakes happen but a lack of customer service is an issue to me. It's been two weeks and my gel manicures is chipped and peeling off. This seems unacceptable for a gel manicure and I've never had this happen before. The front sssk said they can't do anything over a week without management and gave me the manager's number. I called and left a message but never heard back. The pedicures have been consistently good so I would go for those but maybe skip anything else unless you have a technician you know and love read more

My daughter had previously visited this place and was very excited to bring me here for a manicure and pedicure for my birthday. She also treated herself to a manicure. However, I'm not giving 5 stars because the technician working on my daughter's nails accidentally cut her during the process. I understand that mistakes happen, but the technician continued working while my daughter's finger was bleeding. My daughter had to ask her to stop to clean the wound. Then, the technician brought out a bottle of white powder and attempted to apply it to my daughter's finger. When my daughter asked what it was, she received no response. The technician next to her, a guy, laughed and said, "Oh, it will help you," but still, no one explained what the powder was, so my daughter refused it. Finally, without even apologizing, the technician applied a Band-Aid and continued as if nothing had happened. My daughter didn't want to cause a scene or ruin my experience, so she didn't complain, but a simple "I'm sorry" would have made a big difference. On the positive side, my technician was amazing. She took her time and did a beautiful job. read more

My nails were always damaged from gel but I found the best nail tech here! Her name is Angie and she does an amazing job removing gel w/o damaging your nails. No acetone soaks. I have been going to her for about 3 months now and my nails grow strong, no breaks and they grow fast! Ask for Angie! read more

Very detailed and did not rush my pedicure. Offered a drink by the staff. Fair prices.

Awful quality and overpriced! I've been coming to this salon for over two years and the quality has gone down. There are two amazing nail techs if you can get an appointment with them (Tao and Dee). Two weeks ago I went in for SNS with grown out natural nails with the exception of two being broken. Without asking the nail tech cut off my natural grown out nails, MONTHS of work gone. I was very upset by this. I continue to let her do the set. She argued with me about how long I wanted my nails... mind you, I've been coming a getting the same service for years. I felt defeated after telling her x3 times I wanted them longer. I asked for almond and got really sharp stilettos. My pinky, the nail she showed me, was perfectly shaped. The rest did not look the same. She didn't even bother to get my two index fingers to have the same length on both sides. This service took nearly 3 hours which is also something I was getting annoyed with. Again, I've had this done before and never ever had to sit for long! She made them extremely thin so within 48 hours, 3 broke. I normally pay around $60 before tip for this service. This time I paid almost $90 and she claimed it was due to the length and the shape. Neither of which was what I wanted. I went back to have the nails fixed on my next day off and over the course of the next week, 3 more broke. So 6/10 of her work had broke. When I went back to have them fixed, one of the employees told me that she did a good job as I have multiple broken nails. Therefore after more nails breaking, spending 3 hours the first time, spending additional time to go back the second time, I am not going back a third time within 2 weeks. I will certainly not be back to this salon and it's a shame because again, I'd been coming for over two years. My real nails are gone, I had 6 break within two weeks (as of today), I overpaid for crappy service, and now I have to go find a new salon. I wish I didn't pay for this service at all. read more

I have been going here since the time they opened. It's been a long while. However my daughter went to have her nails done and asked how much and she was told 55$ however checkout time it was 85$. 10$ for shape 10$ for cuticle cutting and 10$ for French. The technician was showed the picture when she quoted the price. At the checkout she told my daughter you didn't hear me as I have a mask on. My daughter paid and left. This place is now a rip off. They charge for everything. Instead of sticking to the price agreed they just took the extra. For them it's all about money. read more

Been going here on and off for several years and last week was the last time I will go. Recently anytime I get my nails done the technician is always in a hurry and no one knows how to do nail design. Even though I specifically have made an appointment for design. During my last visit the technician made my cuticles bleed and kept burning me with the tool. I picked my gel color but she came back with a completely different color, told me they were out of the color I wanted and got angry when I told her I did but want the color SHE chose. She had a terrible attitude with me the entire time. I was a customer, paying for how I wanted my nails to look, the technician should not be visibly angry with me because I did not go with what she wanted. I will no longer be a customer. read more

Large, clean, and orderly venue. Many nail technicians working at once. Relaxing music plays amid the classy decor, enhancing your experience. I walked in for a gel pedicure. They were able to seat me relatively quickly. The spa pedicure chairs don't adjust back far enough for tall people. I'm 5'9" and was comfortable with the chair adjusted back all the way, but I'm sure anyone 6'+ will probably have to bend their knees a bit more than average. I was super impressed by the care taken to groom my nails and remove previous gel polish. My technician even noticed that I was starting to get an ingrown toenail and gently removed the offending edge of my nail, relieving the pressure on my cuticle. Total for gel pedicure was $55 + tip. I very much enjoyed myself here. I will be a return customer. My only gripe was that the parking spots outside are incredibly narrow, but I can hardly blame that on this establishment. read more

Visited so many salon including the famous mosaic salon but none compares to Vivian. The ladies completely know what they are doing. To these date it's the only salon I have returned to and will completely recommend and continue to go. One salon ripped my acrylic off my natural nail while taking off pieces of skin and nail using not one once of product. While Vivian lady's always are careful and try not to damage the natural nail. I do not recommend one in specific I have gone to multiple of the lady's and they have all done an amazing job. For this picture product use were "OPI put it in neutral & mirror chrome 88 ($15 extra for the chrome)" not the opi chrome. The picture quality does not do it justice. I've been coming to Vivian for over 5-6 years (from before they expanded to the larger space) and they do an amazing job. I was not doing much personal care unless it was at home during COVID but they were one of two places I began to go when the pandemic seemed to be slowing down. They are very clean, pleasant, always have techs who are eager to know their customers and I've always had a great experience (Linda and Tina are both terrific!). I can call usually less than 24 hours out and get an appointment slot easily. They take care of their customers well. I will not go anywhere else as long as I'm in the DMV area! read more

I have been going to this place for almost 2 years now and their technicians and ambiance has always been amazing. But this specific time was painful like i've never felt in all 6-7 years of getting my nails done. Dee; the technician was really bad, she confessed to being in too much rush and scrapped practically every cuticle so much that they are all bleeding. I would really advice anyone reading this review to NOT go to her. read more

I tried to treat myself on my first mother's day to a gel powder Mani with tips and left with this disaster! I am not sure if my technician (Nina) flat out didn't care or just didn't know what she was doing. I repeatedly asked her to soften the edges and told her they were crooked numerous times. It wouldn't have been so bad if she saw the mistakes and tried to fix them, instead she scoffed and rushed through it as if I were annoying her or straight up acted like she didn't see an issue. After the third time asking her to fix things I gave up and paid to leave. Then she had the audacity to ask if I would be tipping her in cash or credit!!! After leaving I sat in my car in shock at what a sloppy job she had done. I went back in immediately asking for any other technician to fix things as Nina clearly wasn't going to be any help. I was given a much nicer tech who was also shocked at the terrible job. I was told The only way to fix my nails would be to take everything off and start all over. I had already been there almost two hours and did not have time to start all over. Instead of truly fixing things she was only able to somewhat straighten the lengths and then paint over everything with gel polish, not powder. So now I am still left with crooked, bulbous nails that feel entirely too thick and heavy. I wasted THREE hours at this place, on my first mother's day only to leave angry and disappointed. Nina should not be doing these type of manicures if she's not able to do the job properly! I will be going back tomorrow for a refund and to have this junk taken off. read more

After being unhappy with my original pedicure service here, I called them back and asked them if I could please get my pedicure redone. They agreed. When I came back, they were very sorry and had me taken care of my Ms. Moon. She was awesome. She took her time and was very meticulous with the ingrown toe nails that were left by the other technician. Her nail polish application was flawless! She took her time and made sure the color pay off was good. The lady making the reservations apologized again. I feel very comfortable coming back since they really made a wrong, right! I really appreciate that! I am now ready for my vacation! Thank you Moon!! read more

Came in yesterday around 515pm to get my daughter nails done for back to school she had a certain design she had in mind and show a picture of what she want done I did not want to make a scene while I was there but the 3d flowers do not look like flowers they also was not sealed after glue on which I said something to the nail tech about it she said she put the clear coat on the nails before gluing on the flower that looks more like a bow then flower because it was cut to fit. We also told her 3d flowers on 2 fingers on each hand and draw them on the other fingers that didn't happen it like she didn't understand the language I was talking. This place came highly recommended from 2 people who goe sher regularly sent them the Pic and they even agree it was very sloppy work it cost $115 it went down to $108 cause I pay in cash and even gave $11 tip to Cathy the nail tech. One of the flowers had already broken off some because it is not sealed and my child cannot do her hair because it is not sealed and hair gets tangled on to flower on nails. Very disappointed and want them ready done but by Sang or Kim this time cause there suppose to be the best. Please have management call me ASAP. Client name is Aryanna and nail tech was Cathy. I will be returning tomorrow to have this corrected. I also have pictures of what we ask for and what we got. read more

Tam from the management team left a comment; I responded and called the location aBout 5 days ago and there has been zero response regarding how I can obtain a refund for customer dissatisfaction. You just don't get what you pay for; I hate asking someone to do what you're paying them to do. Remove excess skin, file nails, clean them up, remove cuticles, etc. my cuticles and skin weren't removed and neither were calluses, my fiancé has the same complaint and he asked for his to be polished and the girl was weird about it and then he was uncomfortable and we just left. We paid $104 for mediocre service that shouldn't have been half that price. Initially, We waited 25 min for service, we went to get a Starbucks during our wait. We came back and I had finished my drink and we weren't asked if we'd like water or anything that is complimentary. I just don't get why you have to ask someone to do their job or for something that is complimentary. I don't recommend this nail salon; you don't get what you're payi read more

I need to update my last review of Vivian's. At the time of my previous review, it had been a couple of years between my obtaining manicures and pedicures. Clearly, I was out-of-touch with the pricing. I recently had another manicure and pedicure and the price was similar with the price I paid here for the same service. Therefore, I feel obligated to change my previous rating ... I'd really give it a 3.5, a little above average ... but a 4 will do. read more

I live nowhere near Springfield but my inlaws do so I decided to try them out one day after dropping off the kid to spend the day with the grandparents. I decided to splurge on a gel spa pedi and an SNS mani. I've just started trying SNS and gel mani's, and I'm still torn over which I prefer. The spa is spacious and the staff was friendly. My tech was super patient as I debated over the perfect red and whether or not I should get an SNS or gel mani. I went with the SNS since I was traveling over the holidays and wanted to make sure I would have something to last. The mani was gorgeous although my nails were cut a little shorter than I would have liked. Not all of my nails were even, so I asked the tech to make them so. I think she really ran with it. They still looked lovely though. The spa pedi was NICE. I will fully admit that I haven't had a pedicure since last almost a year, so I was a little more than self-conscious at showing off my feet. The tech didn't judge and got to work. The spa pedi came with a hot stone massage and paraffin which was a nice touch. My feet were pretty, soft and supple. I felt like such a lady!! Results of my first SNS mani: I lasted almost two weeks. I was in the kitchen a lot over the holidays and was outdoors a lot so after week one, I could see my nail pull away from shellac. One day I hit my hand on the car door and my nail cracked. I was disappointed, but I didn't complain because the manicure achieved what I needed. By the time I went back, two of my nails were completed chipped and one was broken. I decided to try the SNS again. This time I decided to get a little fancy and did a multi-color nail (one sparkling silver). I was NYE and I wanted to start the year festive. I'm happy to say that 21 days later the SNS is still going strong. The only thing you can see is the growth. I'm not super picky and could probably make it another week before needing to change, but since I need to go to Springfield, I'm stopping by. If my third mani goes well, I may have to start making special trips :). BTW, the gel pedi that I before Christmas is just starting to peel. Not bad. read more

My pedi lasted 6 weeks! Great service too!my friend and I could sit together and her daughter had a pedi chair to sit and watch her shows

I made an appt. ahead of time (due to COVID restrictions and regulations) for a SNS mani and gel polish pedi. The salon did a great job enforcing regulations for social distancing while still maintaining a relaxed salon environment. Ken did my mani and pedi and took his time to make them perfect. I'm very picky when it comes to my nails and was a little worried that I might have to sacrifice quality with everything going on. Fortunately, that wasn't the case and both my Nails and toes turned out fabulous. Thanks Ken and Vivian Nails! read more
