There were no customers there and she rushed, sloppily slapped on acrylic which resulted in bulky and chunky nails in addition to the various misshaped Nails. I asked for ombré summer colors and the technician wasn't able to, so I picked a solid dip and they didn't have the first three colors so I ended up with a totally different one. The lady was rushed and I felt that she was new and maybe wasn't well trained on the drill as she burnt and cut me a few times. My nails have really ugly ridges and are not smooth. This is my togo place after work for a treatment. The location is easy to find and plenty of parking, which is a plus. I used to get my eyebrows here and my regular nails polish done. Hien did good job on my nails! (I didn't know her English name sorry). The nails salon is very clean, plenty of space, and smells nice. It is good to enjoy in a place like this after a long hour of work. I will come back to try other products like dipping powder. The salon looks modern and clean. I got a regular pedi and under arm wax. The pedi was fine and the lady who did mine did a great job with massaging my legs. I asked how much they would charge me for under arm, she said she would check. So I took my phone out and checked for prices on their website. It said $15, I showed it to her and she agreed. According to their website, a regular pedi costs $27. I didn't get anything extra so that's what I was expecting. She charged me $35, after I showed her my phone, she said it was $35. I didn't fuss because normally pedi are around that price. Maybe they haven't updated their website... Now to my waxing, she double dipped. I'm really hoping they don't do that for Brazilians, and the room was kind of small, not enough space to move around. I will not return. Hannah does an amazing job with my nails! She is professional, attentive, an outstanding nail technician, and kind. When I schedule appointments with her she is responsive and takes her time to do a great job based on what I ask. I've been getting dip and gel manicure combos from her and an occasional pedicure. Sometimes she recommends colors and I always get the best compliments when she does! Once in a while she gives me a nail treatment. I'll admit Oh Nails isn't the cheapest place to do nails but they offer great customer service in a welcoming atmosphere; you aren't just another customer there and I've always gotten great nail jobs! read more

I've been coming here since 2017 and the owner Tammy always takes care of me! I ask/show her what I want and she always goes above and beyond to get the job done. Even when she's busy I've gone to others (Andy/Helen) and everyone here goes out of their way to take care of you. If they can't do what I show they're always honest and we just talk about other options. The spa pedicures are great and relaxing and never fail to get me in a good mood! The experience was great and the workers are friendly. The place is really nice and they offer fruits and drinks! Unfortunately, I had someone who didn't clean my nails. I am very disappointed with her effort. I got a pedicure and the color was bright but it was ok. I noticed she doesn't like cleaning and wiping off any mistakes. Afterwards, I got gel polish manicure and that was horrifying. Right after I left OMG my the polish was stuck to my fingers! I went back and asked to fix the nails. She tried but of course if she continued she would have to re-due my manicure. She gave me back $10 and said ok. I am so dissatisfied with this person. I wasn't cheap either! I received a gel mani and regular pedicure. The foot massage was good; hand massage was mediocre but all in all they did a good job. The manicurist I had spoke no English so I was unable to communicate with her but she was pleasant. The facility is clean and they offered water and fruit which I thought was a nice touch. I have been to Oh Nails a few times. The location is convenient because I get my eyebrows done at the place across the street from it. I should've read the Yelp reviews prior to going there. While they do a decent job, I think the prices are set arbitrarily. I went in April and got gel acrylic nails with design one each ring finger. I paid $72. I was told the design was $10. I went again on Sunday and got the same exact thing without design and somehow the price was $68. Somehow now the design is only $4? It made no sense so I emailed them but they haven't gotten back to me..at least yet. I don't mind paying for a job well done, but I do expect honesty and integrity in the way business is conducted. They're not transparent over pricing. Upon checking their online price list, it made even less sense. Disappointed at the lack of honestly and transparency in regards to this. I, actually, liked the nails I got done there so I hate having to find a new nail salon as a result. Either way, I suggest clarifying the price before starting to get nails done. read more

Very, very nice. Might have a new favorite nail place in NoVa... I was in the area and needed a mani/pedi and found this place tucked away in the corner of the shopping center. The pedicure chairs are serious. This will massage every muscle in your back and not only that, YES they massage your butt. This was certainly a surprise but yes, I enjoyed it! But these chairs are fabulous. I asked for a full acrylic set and like the other reviewer said, they ended up giving me gel nails... which ok, I have to pay more, but it's not what I asked for. So if you're going for a full set make sure they don't charge you for gel nails if that's not what you want. Still, they did a great job and the look of their shop was very nice and calming. I've been getting my nails done for years and usually stuck with one nail tech at one location bc she's amazing (best pink&white tech named Lisa at Star Nails in Springfield, also excellent pedicurist). But she was always booked and sometimes I just wanted to walk-in somewhere for a simple pedicure. I visited several places in Springfield and they've all done mediocre to bad jobs (i.e. filing was crooked, polish was gooped more on one side, or side of nail bed wasn't completely polished!) I was losing hope until I randomly walked into Oh Nails! I've been here 3x now. I walked in each time and tried 3 different random nail techs, and I'm very, very happy with all of them! The pedicures were done very well w/minimal mistakes! It kind of makes me think this place does special pedicure training or something bc they are far better than the other salons I've been to. I definitely recommend if you are in the area and want a quality pedicure. They are located right next to Hard Times in the same shopping center, in the corner. The techs I tried are Cathy, Helen, and cant remember the third. But I like Cathy more than the other 2. PLUS they have the best pedicure massage chairs I've ever tried! I asked and they said the chairs are the "new" kind. It's feels like you're getting a real massage up and down your back with all different kinds of pounding and kneading motion! Went for mani pedis with my 8 yr old for her birthday. The ladies were sweet in wishing her a happy birthday. Pedicure was ok; she got a basic flower design on hers. Vivian was my stylist and left me underwhelmed. Overall, the polish is super sloppy. I mentioned it several times and she just kept telling me it was fine. Prices were on the high side and she tried to charge me more than what the posted prices were. They chatted in their language my whole visit but did say some things to me intermittently. I visited this salon based on a referral, asked very specific questions based on what I needed done: remove acrylic tips and replace with powder and then ombré pink and clear/white gel polish. My appointment was at 10 am for a mani/pedi, the pedicure took about 30 mins and the lady did a job. After much explaining, getting attitude from one nail technician, explaining to someone else, WAITING, explaining some more, I eventually left around 1pm after much assertion to just throw a clear coat on my nails because I NEEDED TO LEAVE. I as getting married at 4pm and I should've been done by 11:30 at the latest. It got to the point where it was getting so late that I said just take the acrylics off I have to go. I was told it take no time to do the powder, "Very quick", she botched it, took LONGER trying to fix it, another "very quick" to paint it gel. I finally had to get firm in my "no I have to go". Folks, I want to like this place. In fact, I used to love this place but in the last 6 months this place has deteriorated. I stopped going here over the summer because my nail technician left and I had a sub-par experience. This review is based on my experience on 2/4/18. I went in on Sunday afternoon to get a pedicure and filling. My pedicure was alright.... No issues there. I was then led to a nail tech who was to trim my nails, fill the nails and shape them. Pretty standard. After she trimmed the nails, I informed her that I wanted almond shaped nails. I wanted the same shape that I walked in with. She said ok. She began filing and proceeded to destroy 3 nails. I stopped her and informed her that my nails were pointy and incredibly short. She then said, "oh, you wanted almond shape?" This is when I should have cut and run. But she had already started and mistakes happen. So, I said, "you know, you have already ruined the shape, so cut the nails down and make them neat". She cut the nails and started filing and shaping. I pointed out to her that the nails were uneven and poorly shaped. They were neither round nor square. After asking her to make the shape even and neat multiple times, I asked her to stop working on my nails. I went to pay for my pedicure and asked to speak with the manager. This is where this place went from a 3 to a -5. This lady was combative, unapologetically racist, and insinuated that I did not want to pay which is why I told the nail tech to stop. At no point in this interaction with the nail tech or the manager did anyone apologize. Rather than be customer focused, I was stereotyped, rudely informed that I could go since I was not happy with the service. Yes, I, a paying customer was racially profiled, rudely stereotyped and essentially told to leave the store. I showed the manager my nails and she had the audacity to say, "they are not bad, but if you want me to fix it I can" (pictures below). Meanwhile still no apology. I asked her how she intended to fix my now too short and horribly shaped nails. Additionally, I pointed out to her that not once have I received an apology. And that it was insulting to insinuate that I did not want to pay. In the year and half that I have been coming here, I have always paid and tipped 20%. If you are a woman on color, please find an alternate place to be pampered. To conclude, I left feeling dejected, frustrated and offended. My nails were horribly done and rather than taking responsibility for the mistake, I was harassed and insulted. read more

Nothing bad to say Bout this place.. even if I did I was more than likely having a bad day to begin with. Yet this place always makes it better. Tam is great and Nice. The owner is a bit much and tried to suggest I was using my partners card without her permission. After multiple apologies I gave it another try and Tam has been great. My nails are always beautiful now that I just do an overlay and no acrylic. They always offer complimentary bevs. coke dr pepper, coffee and water. Sometimes its the little things that make a person destress. Did I mention Tam gives you a shoulder massage while your nails are drying. If they added alchohol I'd live here. This place isn't great for a couple of reasons. 1) when we walked in and requested a regular pedicure, the owner immediately ushered us over to the gel nails selection to pick our colors. I had to say I wanted a regular pedicure 3 times before she admitted that we should pick our color on the opposite wall. 2) while the spa section of the pedicure is nice, my technician did an incredibly average job. I didn't pay $30 for nails that look like I did a crappy job at home. 3) when we got our bill, we realized that they had given us the spa pedicure WITHOUT ASKING, and then charged us extra for it. They never asked us or gave us any options - we just sat down and they started doing it. Overall scummy business practices and a crappy pedicure. To start, I wanted an acrylic french manicure but she gave me a gel manicure-that's fine, it'll just cost me some extra money I can live with that..... I'm not a nail professional but I could even tell she did a HORRIBLE job. For a french manicure, the tip is supposed to be white but she made like 80% of my nail white which was odd looking. She also did not bond the fake nail to my real nail well and water got under the acrylics and fungus grew--ew, vomit!!! After spending $45, I had to rip them all off and keep my nails bare for weeks. I've been getting my nails done for close to 15 years and this was hands down one of the worst jobs I've had. At least she was a sweet girl. read more

Been going to this place for years but my favorite techs are sisters Helen and Heidi. Helen does an excellent job with French pedicure which I always get. Heidi can do good pedis too but is great with facials and massages. I'm glad Tiffany does not work here anymore since she's the only real mean person I've encountered here. There was another good tech named Lee but she can be argumentative for no apparent reason at times. When I walked in and didn't see any prices listed anywhere, I knew I should have asked. But most mani/pedi places are in the same ballpark so I didn't give it much thought. After getting started, the tech asked if I wanted a "spa" pedi. At first I declined, but after stating that the regular pedi was $27 and it was only $5 more for the "spa" treatment, where you get a leg scrub and heel smoothing, I went for it. She did a nice job and my heels felt great. However, when I was sitting under the foot dryer, she asked for payment, and when she brought my receipt back to me, the charge was for $37! I reminded her that she said it was only $5 more for the spa treatment, and all she could say was "No, $37." and smile and nod at me as if suddenly there was a language barrier! She did a nice job on my toes, but I don't do business with shady characters. I won't be returning. Oh, and about 5 days later my heels were like sandpaper. read more
