I brought in a picture with some ideas and Fancy Nails made it happen! Thanks, Vivian, for my Halloween inspired nails! Love them!

Rip off and poor customer service

I came to do my nails. Wanted just a gel color polish change, which usually cost $20. I brought MY OWN perl type of powder which I wanted to rub on my nails after the top coat and then the technician covers with a second top coat. What was my surprise when I go to pay and they want to charge me 35$?! For what? When I asked why are they charging me for using my own product, they got angry and protective and told me they charge for anything even if it's my product and even when I do it myself! Told them this absolutely doesn't make sense and that's not the way you treat your customers! Absolutely DO NOT recommend this place!

Love this salon. I've been going here for 20 years. Amy is the best. She did this for me.

Jay, Amy and Christine are my favorites. It's been about a year and I haven't been disappointed. From spa pedicures, designs, french-tip, gel and dip (Jay only) manicures, I'm always satisfied. I used to wear an acrylic tip on my big toes but after 5 months I didn't need it anymore because my natural toenails were healthy and thriving. I recommend calling to make an appointment if you're interested in service

I had a very pleasant experience! They were all super nice, and made sure that I was comfortable and knew what I wanted. I was happy that it was also done in a timely manner! I wish I remembered to ask who did my nails They weren't thick and perfect length! I will be back!

I've been going here for over 6mos and I could not be happier with the service. Jay is my go to and she never disappoints. She's very quick and thorough, my manicures last me weeks! The salon is always welcoming and clean. Their prices are decent and fair. They have lots of staff to accommodate walk ins, but they do make appts as well. I've tried other nail salons in the area and haven't been too impressed. I would definitely recommend Fancy Nails.

Classy French. Not too thick. Not too creamy.

Tammie did an excellent job! -no instruction needed, clean lines and nice massage :) I'll definitely go back. Overall, friendly staff and fair (transparent) prices.

This place holds very dear to my heart, simply because I believe it provides the best nail tech service in the area. The creativity and lively hood of the nail shop is shown through their compassion towards their work, and it also shown by the smiles on customers faces. They gave me the most beautiful nails on all sorts of occasions. I remember coming in every time I had a big event such as prom and homecoming, and always getting compliments after! Yeah, you might not trust a 17-year old girls expertise on nail establishments, but I really do love this place. They never fail to give me a touch of elegance every time I leave thrthe doors. The owner,Amy, really takes pride in her shop. She worked this place from the bottom to the top, and all I can say is that I'm very proud of her. She's kind, caring, and really cares about this place. So please, give this place a try! You won't be disappointed :) UPDATE* Really not sure why yelp deleted my review, but please give this place a try!! You won't be disappointed

Cathy was the best! She was so sweet. I came in at 6:20 pm and showed her this design I saw online and did this with dip powder and gel design. She was so patient, and kind. She wanted to make it perfect! She even worked after they closed till 7:20. She was so sweet and I'm definitely going back to her!

Gel manicure with accent nail.

I had my nails done today with Tammy and am very pleased with the results! I brought in a picture of a design that I wanted to replicate and she took her time to help me find the perfect color and matched the design perfectly. I also had a pedicure, which unfortunately turned out a bit sloppy but my toenails are hard to paint because they're so small. The gel manicure with two accent nails was $40 (base price of $35 for a gel manicure with $5 per decorated nail) and I opted for the spa pedicure #1 (basic foot massage, exfoliation, lotion, etc. in addition to regular polish), which was $40 as well. I'm happy overall with the results and will plan to return to Tammy for future manicures.

I LOVE JAY! She's so amazing honestly and even if she's never done a design before she'll try it no matter what. I called literally the day before my baby shower on August and she squeezed me in for a full set of acrylics AND a pedicure and I have to say she did an absolutely amazing job! The pedicure is honestly what set me over the top though, she got out ingrown nails that places have never even attempted to removed. It'll be 4 weeks since I've been there on the Monday and my nails are still rock solid and not even close to coming off.

I did my pedicure last week here with Nancy. She is very nice and kind person and also she is professional. She did really good job and took care of my nails very well. I definitely recommend her and will make an appointment for Nancy.

Jay is the best nail technician I've ever had. She takes her time, and her work is extremely neat. I love the way she shapes my nails. They end up still looking fresh after weeks. She's also very accommodating and patient with me as I can be a bit picky sometimes. I would highly recommend!

Allure Nail Bar in Burke, VA was the MOST disgusting nail bar I have ever been to. I read good…read morereviews about Allure and thought I would try it out. What a complete disappointment. First off, the nail technicians that worked with me were very nice. So, I am sorry to throw them under the bus here. That was the only positive thing I can reveal about this place. From the moment I set foot in the nail bar, there were 3 nail technicians just sitting around chatting; no one greeted me until I stood at the counter for 10 minutes. The technicians just sitting and staring at me, said nothing, like, "Hello, welcome to Allure." After 15 minutes, I had several technicians try to rush me to pick a color and then disappeared when I was looking at the nail kiosks. Other nail technicians came by to ask me what I wanted then they also disappeared when I showed them a picture of what I had hoped to do with my nails and toes. One of the technicians waved her arms at to small kiosks and a display and said those kiosks (and display) were the only Gel colors available to me for what I wanted. When I picked out several of the colors, they told me they did not have them. Then, again, the technician waved her arms over the kiosks and display. Then, there was the issue of clear communication. Finally, I had to ask if I would be able to speak with someone in English because no one else was able to communicate with me (and I am not being mean here...I support cultural diversity and I love Vietnamese people and I was an ESOL teacher for 20+ years, so it is not a negative dig). Finally, I decided to go with a simple color that was available, but that was just the start of the horror. One huge red flag were the nasty nail polishes. These bottles of polish were like those out of a garbage can. They looked as if they had NEVER been cleaned---EVER; sticky gross caked on polish (all over the bottles) with visible handprints on the plastic bottle brush tops almost made me want to throw up. The polishes in the clear boxes were ALL disgustingly used 1000 times without ever being wiped down or thoroughly cleaned; the polish used on my feet was sticky and caked all over the top of the bottle, and the technician had to keep shaking the bottle to get polish out. It looked like the dregs of the dregs. I was so disgusted and disturbed by the polishes, I should have just walked out right then and there. Next, the filthy pedicure area was a sight. The chair arm rest table looked like someone had just eaten their lunch there and just left the grossness all over the little space. No one bothered to clean up. Maybe those three technicians just sitting around chatting could have done some clean up! Then I was told that the $60 Gel pedicure did not include taking off my two small toe calluses. This could easily be done with a scraper in two seconds, but it would have cost me another $15.00. I was dumbfounded that it was not included in the pedicure like it is at every other nail bar. My feet looked like ass despite the pedicure since calluses remained on the big toes. Unsightly! The technician's product and tool caddie were also filthy. There were crumbs on the surface, crud all over the products, other peoples' skin, dirt, and pieces of nail all visible on the surface. Some of the products had broken pump tops. Most alarming was that there was no visible antiseptic cleaner anywhere where tools are normally kept in jars. Nothing about that area was clean or looked like that it was even a priority. I am praying that I do not get some toe or foot fungus from that place! After the pedicure, I went over to have my nails done (Acrylic Gel). The nail bar was also just as disappointing and disgusting. Nail powder-dust everywhere, the technician's tools to remove the polish (sanding-file heads) were sitting in a gross, blackened, very unclean shot glass along with super glue tubes. The tools were clearly unorganized, uncleaned, and non- anti-bacterialized. The jar of the acrylic powder was so off putting (never ever cleaned or wiped down---crud all over the jars lid and around the threads of the jar were caked with grunge) and all lumpy. This gross acrylic powder display was in tandem with the dubious, cloudy, purple liquid whose jar was equally covered in filth. The technician then pulled out some random fat brush from a dirty drawer of tools and other junk. I was frozen in fear. Lastly, the UV light lamp was so crusty that when I placed my hands in it (like a cubby hole) I could feel the crumbly, lumpy, bumpy crud under my palms from so many who came before me. It is unfathomable that Allure Nail Bar in Burke, VA is not shut down for its terrible management for gross negligence in cleanliness and open display of filth in their products and their pedicure and manicure stations. Please DO NOT waste your health and money in this cesspool.

My friend and I were so excited to try this place because of the high reviews and limited places…read moreto select from in the area. We did the sauna and facials. Well needless to say, we will be on the hunt for a better spot- FOR SURE. Here's what our feedback was to the establishment since they asked, and I decided to share here in case it's helpful to anyone thinking about going here: "The overall experience was disappointing and did not meet the standards expected of a professional wellness or spa environment. The walk between buildings felt awkward and disjointed, and the areas where services were provided were visibly unclean. This immediately detracted from the sense of calm and comfort that clients typically seek when booking spa services. The sauna instructions were overly complicated and nonintuitive. Rather than supporting a seamless, stress-free experience, the setup required unnecessary effort and attention at a time when guests should be able to arrive, decompress, and enjoy the service. One of the facials was particularly concerning. The provider fell out of her chair during the session, left the room for approximately 15 minutes within the allotted service time, and complained openly about missing supplies that had not been ordered. Her presentation and behavior appeared impaired or otherwise not fully attentive, which was alarming in a setting where professionalism, focus, and client safety are expected. There were also sanitation concerns. Gloves were not worn during the sessions- in particular extractions & close facial work, which raised hygiene and safety questions. Given the nature of skincare treatments and direct contact with facial areas, adherence to clear sanitation protocols is critical. Both facials were performed below expected standards. Product application felt careless rather than intentional for both clients. Creams were applied in a manner that resulted in product entering the nostril area for both clients. In one instance, the technician had to awkwardly clean the inside of a nostril during the service, which was unexpected and uncomfortable (and something never experienced prior). In the other facial, cream entered the nostril and remained there throughout the session, creating concern about inhalation; the client ultimately had to clean it out herself after the session. This experience was distracting and far from relaxing. Additionally, massage and sculpting techniques reflected a noticeable lack of refinement and training, particularly for clients accustomed to higher-quality services. Overall, the experience lacked attentiveness, professionalism, cleanliness, and the level of care expected in a premium setting."
