I came here on a Saturday right when they opened at 9am. I was able to be sat right away for my pedicure. I noticed around 10am it started to pick up. Julie, who did my pedicure & manicure, did an amazing job. She made sure the water was the perfect temperature. She also took extra care and time with the massage parts of the experience which I appreciated. I did a #1 spa pedicure and it was $43 which I think is in align with other places. It took about 40 minutes. I also had a manicure where I had them just clean up my nails, no polish. She did a nice job with that as well. It was $21. When I checked out, the receipt didn't have a place for me to add a tip so I gave it via cash. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would recommend to others. read more

All I can say is Jay did a fantastic job my toes never look so good, getting a fungus is a serious matter,the files and was worn buffer as if they were reused several times. They're the ones that you normally see in the little pre-packets. I got a gel mani/pedi for my birthday, within 24 hours I developed an infection on my big toe. After taking a closer look you can clearly see two small cuts at the side cuticle. It's been 48 hours and am now at urgent care bc of their negligence. Don't be fooled by the plastic covers on the pedicure tubs. They're clearly not disinfecting the tools or hand washing. I, too, was at the salon when the incident with Ava happened (see her response below). I have gone to Fancy Nails and always received impeccable customer service from all the employees. I have loved my nails each time I left the salon. Ava went to the salon for color change, but also wanted to put her own chrome that she had brought from home on her nails. She doesn't realize that people go to the salon for the service of getting their nails done. The prices are set for the labor cost and not product. As she mentioned, she came in for a gel polish change. If she wanted chrome on her nails, she would need to apply the chrome, gel top coat AND then cure it with the UV light that the nail technician clearly provided. It's like me bringing my own cup to McDonald's to get a fountain drink, but not pay because it's my cup and not the McDonald's cup. ‍ read more

I brought MY OWN perl type of powder which I wanted to rub on my nails after the top coat and then the technician covers with a second top coat. What was my surprise when I go to pay and they want to charge me 35$?! For what? When I asked why are they charging me for using my own product, they got angry and protective and told me they charge for anything even if it's my product and even when I do it myself! I had my nails done today with Tammy and am very pleased with the results! I brought in a picture of a design that I wanted to replicate and she took her time to help me find the perfect color and matched the design perfectly. I also had a pedicure, which unfortunately turned out a bit sloppy but my toenails are hard to paint because they're so small. The gel manicure with two accent nails was $40 (base price of $35 for a gel manicure with $5 per decorated nail) and I opted for the spa pedicure #1 (basic foot massage, exfoliation, lotion, etc. in addition to regular polish), which was $40 as well. I LOVE JAY! She's so amazing honestly and even if she's never done a design before she'll try it no matter what. I called literally the day before my baby shower on August and she squeezed me in for a full set of acrylics AND a pedicure and I have to say she did an absolutely amazing job! This was my first time going to Fancy Nails and I had no wait time. The store was very clean, aesthetically pleasing, and well organized. While getting my nails done, I noticed that my nail tech did not want to talk and we remained silent for the entirety of the session. When she needed me to move closer, wash my hands, switch hands, etc. she would make hand motions to signal me or shoo me away. Some people may be very upset by this, but I was slightly frustrated. I do wish she would ask me to do things verbally rather than shooing me silently with her hands. Wow, this place took a toll for the worse. I used to come here all the time, until I started to work in Herndon. I got off work early and decided to give this place another go. Horrible experience. It's was dead in there all the nail technicians were watching movies or soap operas on their phones or iPads, bored out of their minds! They didn't even care to take me which should have been a red flag for me to bounce, but I didn't. I don't know the technicians name who helped me and maybe that for the better, to be honest. I don't know where to begin so I'm just going to start listing things.. * I told her medium length and she butchered them as short as possible * each nail has its own definition of shortness * I kept telling her I wanted my nails more narrow compared to the upside down triangle shape looking thing (she finally got it down to a square shape... ) She just didn't give a shit. The only upside is that I like the nail color... I'm so disappointed and annoyed. I'm currently on my bed filing my nails to a decent shape so I won't be embarrassed at work. Eight weeks ago I had a pleasant mani/pedi at this salon. It was my third visit. Unfortunately a few days after the manicure I noticed a tiny, dark spot at the base of my nail. (I have very strong, good nails). At first I thought the technician hadn't cleaned her brush and had put a touch of dark polish on my nude colored nail. Fast forward eight weeks and the dark spot ended up being a full blown nail fungus infection. Not only is my nail destroyed but I had to go the doctor to get a prescription to help clear the fungus. It is painful and annoying. I just want other potential customers to be aware that this occurred. For that reason, I give his salon one star for lack of cleanliness. read more

Would not recommend. I got my nails done last Friday (gel mani and gel pedi) and was very upset with my service and the outcome of my nails. They were lumpy when completed and my nails were not evenly shaped. It's been two days since I got my nails done and 3 nails are already completely chipped. I am not sure if it was due to the brand (I've never used the Perfect Match color brand before- only OPI) but I've never had nails chip that fast before! Will not be returning, even for the chip fix. I'm not a frequent but I have been coming here for many years when I need my nails done for special occasions. I got a Mani pedi for my wedding and they did an amazing job! I was hesitant on what I wanted but after showing them a few pictures I told the Jay to feel free to be creative and she did an amazing job! So happy I went there, everything was amazing. I used to frequent this nail salon years ago and then due to a move had to stop. This past weekend I decided to pop in. I was quite disappointed with what I saw and the service I received. First thing I noticed was that it seemed as though the toe separators are reused as they aren't placed in a trash can but a basket. The tools used on me were definitely not cleaned from the previous client. My nail tech seemed frustrated with me because I only wanted to remove the dip polish on my nails and the gel polish on my toes for a regular pedicure. After I soaked my toes in the water she proceeded to remove my gel polish with the cuticle cutters (no acetone). I was in such a shock I didn't know what to say or do. She then did an awful and hurried pedicure on me and then directed me to sit for my nails. She did not remove all of the polish from my natural nails and left them so weak and ruined. I will NEVER visit this establishment again. If I could rate it 0 stars I would. read more

Came in with a terrible, horrible set of acrylic nails done by a different salon so I was a little worried about getting them filled. I shouldn't have worried at all!
