Fabulous. Lee does a great job!
    Joann M.

Under new management! I followed Lee to her new location. This tells you a lot since i live in Reston. She is a amazing lady. Does a fabulous job on nails.... Of course they still do hair..... Okay so why am I traveling from Reston to Burke.... I started going to Lee when she was at a nail only salon in Springfield. My bff thought it was time I kick my habit of nailing biting and that acrylic nails with tips is what I needed. I commented I had tried this a couple of times but the acrylic would pop off. She assured me if Lee did them they wouldn't and she was soooooo right. That's over a year ago. I have fabulous nails and the acrylic stats put even with me still putting my fingers in my mouth out of habit. After I had them grown out I started going to places closer to me...., hummmmm the acrylic popped off..... I don't know why what she does work but it's magic and it works..... She doesn't appear to do anything different than other folks..., and yet my acrylic stays on.... Polish lasts..... Let's travel to Lee. About a month ago I found that she had moved to this new location. And she is now the owner.... Or maybe her hubby is but it doesn't matter. It's Lee and for my nails I am happy to go where she is. This location also does hair. While I didn't have mine done I was watching the lady there this morning who was working hair. She first washed and styled a older lady who appeared to be a regular. Loved how she skillfully chatted about the changes in her hair and what she was doing to make it appear fuller. Her next client was a short trim. She appeared very skillful in her razor cutting technique. My apologies for not getting her name. Lee did a remodel of the location. The 2nd lady who got her trim is a regular and commented how nice everything looked . Since I didn't see the place prior to Lee it appeared it was a much needed upgrade in chairs, tables, and supplies. Not sure how many employees.... I saw the front three stylists chairs all had licenses on the mirrors.... Not sure about the other three stations. The nail area is setup for 6 technicians as well with additional seating for pedicures. I'm thrill Lee is at this new location as its a bit easier for me to get to. Highly recommend her for nails!

Lee's has always been my go-to since I moved to Burke a few years ago. They never disappoint! Every technician is amazing. Yesterday, I went in with a specific picture of how I wanted my nails (half moon gel manicure). I couldn't be happier with how they turned out!

I've been going to Lee's for over 5 years for special occasions. As my first time was new but painful ending with cuts on my nails due to this lady who did my cuticles with a electric nail drill(buffer?) , after that time then I had different ladies who were absolutely amazing and gentle with my cuticles and nails, none of them using the buffer to shear away at my cuticles. I went again yesterday and noticed right away the same lady from the first time I ever went and ended up getting her and wow it's was the most pain filled nerve racking experience. It's started ok but then the drill started and I was a bit worried but ended up being ok for the first few minutes and then cut. Again and again cut and every time she's said sorry I'll be more careful. It's hurt a lot and I ended up bleeding and she just took cotton and dabbed it away and later at the end she said it's because you have so much cuticle. Then should I have said sorry my bad or something? I just wanted my full set acrylics. I'm pretty disappointed that nothing really changed and I even read a review by Lyeba Q on here and it seems she as well has face a pretty painful experience. I don't usually post reviews but I feel that people should watch out for this one lady. I got cut 4-6 times 4 of them bleeding for sure. I still tipped well because I understand the time and work put in but I'm really disappointed in how painful this experience was.

    Color changing in nails.

Came here for a gel manicure. After a few days the color of the gel started changing and after a week completely faded. I called and they told me to come in to fix them. When I went in to have it fix, they kept telling me I had put my hands in chemicals (which I never did). Instead of changing the color and fixing my nails completely, they just filed them down and did the same color over again. Within a couple days the color changed again and started chipping in many places. I also got a pedicure and after taking the nail polish off got many spots on all my nails. Won't be returning. Was also quoted one price over the phone and charged more when I checked out.

I rarely ever write reviews on yelp and I was on the hunt for a good nail salons because the ones closest to my house weren't that great. However, this place was just so good! I never really feel that complete without having my nails done so I get them done often; the ladies here took their time and did such an amazing job. I usually get gel but this time I decided to try the dip nail trend and I was not disappointed. I had a bad experience before with the dip nails at another shop but I'm so happy with the way they came out. Their prices are very fair and their customer service was great.

    Cuts from electric nail drill

Super sweet people! I've been coming here for the last 3 years on my birthday. I really wanted to give them 5 stars but each time I've come, I've had the same women do my nails and she is very rough and cuts my skin. I don't mean like a small cut on one finger, I mean big noticeable ones on each finger!! I went in 3 days ago after a year because I found a super nice guy at another salon to do my nails who is super gentle but he couldn't squeeze me in last minute before I left for a party. she did my nails very well but of course cut me and made me bleed on 3 of my fingers.

Went in not knowing what to expect for the first in years. I'm impressed with how my nails came out. Kim, did an amazing job and stayed in my budget. She knew I was a college student and part time worker. Will for sure come back for a fill.

Nails done in Richmond va, by my normal nail tech.

The appointment was never confirmed and when I showed up saying I had scheduled an appointment, the staff were confused. I decided to cut my losses, forgo my own manicure, and just have my daughter get her nails done. When I told them I wanted to get just my daughter's nails done, they tried to direct her towards the gel polish colors--she's 8 and way too young for gel (most places recommend 16+ for gel). Gel is also $55, whereas a kids manicure was listed as $17. I told them and my daughter that we were not getting gel and redirected my daughter to the standard polishes. They said that they recommended gel for her because she is a kid and it was more durable. I said, "no gel," and my daughter pointed to a standard polish she wanted to wear. They took her over to one of the manicure tables and sat her down, then walked away to get the folder of samples for gel colors. Again, I had to tell them I did NOT want gel for my 8 year old!! I should have left after this because they were not respecting my "no", but I didn't want to ruin it for my daughter. After saying no for the third time, they took my daughter back over to the regular polishes to get the one she wanted and had already picked out (and pointed to and showed them prior to sitting down at the table). When they took her back to the table, they asked me if I wanted to get a pedicure (even though I had already said "no" to getting any services done for me). They the asked me if I wanted her cuticles cut, and explained that a base manicure was $10, but cuticles cut was an extra $8 (NOTE: this did NOT match the price on their service list, which said a kids manicure for was $17). My daughter has never had this done before, so I asked her if she was interested in trying it and let her know that sometimes it can hurt (for various reasons from sensitive nails to not soaking the cuticles for long enough, etc.). My daughter looked scared and said, "no." So I told them we were not interested in getting her cuticles cut. The lady said, "you're cheap, but that's okay." I know there are some language differences, but they acted like it was an inconvenience to do a basic service that took them less than 10 minutes to do. As if they would rather have sat there doing nothing than preform the service. And respecting what my daughter wants doesn't make me "cheap". And I declined services for myself in the first place because they didn't have the appointment and clearly weren't organized and wouldn't listen to me. I just wanted to get the nails painted and get the hell out of there. The manicure itself was fine. They filled her nails, buffed them, did a single coat of glitter polish (the coverage was good for one coat), and did a top coat (again, this took maybe 5 minutes to do all this). I went to pay and they charged my card, then handed me the receipt to sign. I put down that I wanted to tip (despite my best judgement) and the lady kept asking me for cash for the tip instead of charging it to the card. I told her that I didn't have cash, and she said, "it's fine." I'm not sure how that was 'fine' but the charge hasn't yet posted to my account so we'll see what happens. Manicure was fine...not a great experience overall.

Well needless to say, we will be on the hunt for a better spot- FOR SURE. Here's what our feedback was to the establishment since they asked, and I decided to share here in case it's helpful to anyone thinking about going here: "The overall experience was disappointing and did not meet the standards expected of a professional wellness or spa environment. The walk between buildings felt awkward and disjointed, and the areas where services were provided were visibly unclean. This immediately detracted from the sense of calm and comfort that clients typically seek when booking spa services. The sauna instructions were overly complicated and nonintuitive. Rather than supporting a seamless, stress-free experience, the setup required unnecessary effort and attention at a time when guests should be able to arrive, decompress, and enjoy the service. One of the facials was particularly concerning. The provider fell out of her chair during the session, left the room for approximately 15 minutes within the allotted service time, and complained openly about missing supplies that had not been ordered. Her presentation and behavior appeared impaired or otherwise not fully attentive, which was alarming in a setting where professionalism, focus, and client safety are expected. There were also sanitation concerns. Gloves were not worn during the sessions- in particular extractions & close facial work, which raised hygiene and safety questions. Given the nature of skincare treatments and direct contact with facial areas, adherence to clear sanitation protocols is critical. Both facials were performed below expected standards. Product application felt careless rather than intentional for both clients. Creams were applied in a manner that resulted in product entering the nostril area for both clients. In one instance, the technician had to awkwardly clean the inside of a nostril during the service, which was unexpected and uncomfortable (and something never experienced prior). In the other facial, cream entered the nostril and remained there throughout the session, creating concern about inhalation; the client ultimately had to clean it out herself after the session. This experience was distracting and far from relaxing. Additionally, massage and sculpting techniques reflected a noticeable lack of refinement and training, particularly for clients accustomed to higher-quality services. Overall, the experience lacked attentiveness, professionalism, cleanliness, and the level of care expected in a premium setting."
