I've been searching for a salon that does properly does Gel X extensions as I was trying to grow out my nails and found that Peony did them. I went ahead and made an appointment for a Gel X manicure and gel pedicure. I received a text confirmation when my appointment was booked as well as reminder texts as well for my upcoming appointments. I had a great spa pedicure experience and felt relaxed throughout my service. The gel polish was applied neatly and my nails weren't cut down too short; there was plenty of room left for growth. Moving onto the manicure... there was way too much glue added onto each nail and there was so much residue left underneath my fingertips. When the LED light was placed over each finger, I vocalized to my nail tech that it was getting pretty hot and she said "it's okay" (of course it was, because it wasn't hot for her!) and I just ended up taking my whole hand out because she clearly didn't care or listen to my concern. When the polish was applied, it was done neatly and I liked the final color result, but there wasn't any cleanup done beneath my nails. I was able to pick some of the glue residue out when I got home, but wasn't able to get it all out. The pricing here is reasonable and the salon is clean and well kept, but I don't think that I'd come back since I was brushed off during the process of getting my Gel X manicure. read more

Nice salon and staff. 14 pedicure chairs and maybe 10 mani chairs. The massagers on the pedi chairs are phenomenal with a little more pressure than other salons. Bathroom was clean, and overall the ambiance and decor is very nice. Lisa was my tech and she was very sweet with strong hands. I got the peony pedicure which took about 45 mins. Fair and comparable price for the quality. Very relaxing and will definitely return! read more

Should be zero stars. Bad experience from the first phone call until....well, looking at my nails, it's still bad. I told them when I called that I was very particular, and said I could go elsewhere if they were concerned about that. I have a wonderful technician at another shop but I forgot to make my appt. when I left 3 weeks ago, and he stays booked for 2-3 weeks, back-to-back. He couldn't work me in, unfortunately. This shop is expensive and the technician took twice as long as the same type of service elsewhere. Waste of time and money here. I'm more than happy to pay well for good service, and I didn't complain about the price but it was steep and if I paid by the amount of time it took, it was because she was slow and I'm not quite sure she knew what she was doing. I was there almost 2 hours just for my hands. And it was nothing special. My actual nails are hanging out from under what the technician did. I'll post photos, but I'm not sure if you can see the issue. Tried to sum up this shop review. Would take too much time to go through the entire scenario, and it would be a novel. I do my own nails at home but I wanted to treat myself and I had called ahead to see if they took walk-ins for extensions + dip powder, and they told me to come in 20 minutes. I had also warned them I had extremely short nail beds and that if it was going to be too difficult then I understood if I got turned away. When I showed, they greeted me but only showed me that there were basically 2 sheets of nail references for colors and when I asked if there was more, (because the dip powders on the wall were clearly more than what I was shown) they told me no that's it. My selection was very limited.. I was seated and immediately the nail tech looked at my nails, made a face, and started talking to her coworker. I asked for short almond nails and it seemed she was confused with how to go about it.. I asked her to fix some parts because my finger kept feeling sharp parts and each time she told me to just wait and she'll get back to it but never did. I kept watching as she did my nails and it looked more square-oval than almond.. One of the male nail techs came rushing in and he took over for her - As he's doing my nails he's explaining how to shape them and everything. Then when they started the dip, everything was rushed and not how I remembered dip was done. I decided to just trust the process and let them do their job. I was so distraught with the first 20 minutes of shaping my nails that when we were done with everything I thought it looked nice. I went home and looked at my nails again to notice that the lengths were all completely different, width and shaping were not even as well - and they were not almond as I asked. To top it off, it was so thick, it didn't look natural at all. I was going to return to fix it, but I ended up fixing them myself. It's a very clean area and they seem very friendly. The prices are fair, but due to how I was brushed off in the beginning and how unsatisfying the nails turned out, I will most likely not come back. read more

I came in here before Christmas with my young adult daughter and got a powder dip manicure, and now I'm hooked. I went back today and had another great experience with Laura doing my nails. The place is very clean and well designed. The attention to detail with my nails was incredible. I felt like Laura made sure they were perfect before I left. Great, attentive service! I came here one day after work to check it out since they recently opened. I talked to owner and he told me about this location and the other one. He welcomed me to give them a try! I made an appt and explained I only had a short amount of time for gel pedicure for the next day. The day of the appt, I received a reminder text message about the appt. When I arrived, they were ready and we talked about how much time I had. For the short time I had, they were very attentive to detail. The owner made sure everything was ok and to my liking. They really worked with me to make sure I left on time. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! Went in to get tips with dip, walked out with what looked like bad quality press on nails. My cuticles and surrounding skin on my fingers were completely botched, and as she was doing them it hurt a lot. The staff was SO RUDE. I witnessed one worker completely ignore a woman and her young child as they were asking about the different types of nail polish. These nails were $68 dollars (photo below), and my friends' who had a similar asked for style was $86?!!?!!!? Overpriced, horrible experience, horrible nails. Never EVER going back again. I got a gift card to go back as a refund for my horrible nails, probably won't even use it because I never want to step foot in there again!!! read more

My pedicure was good, my manicure not so much. The nail technician took ages to do a simple gel manicure. My nails were cut too short and my hands look fried from being under the hot lamp for so long--she did not set a timer. She also pulled out skin from the top of my fingers leaving just under my nails looking raw and red. I had to ask her to stop so that I could leave. read more

BAD EXPERIENCE: My mother and I had an appointment at 6PM. I called the morning of to book it and let them know what services we would be getting. We arrived and you can tell a lot of ladies wanted to go home even though salon closes at 7:30. They didn't have the charcoal pedicure my mother really wanted and only reason we drove 40mins to the salon. Then surprisely they informed me they don't off design on toes unless you pay the upcharge for gel pedicure. Overall really disappointed and we left there unsatisfied. I found them on a yelp search because my normal place was to busy to fit me in. I am so glad my normal place was to busy lol. Peony is my new place:) Trish did my nails and toes. This was the first time I had powder rather than gel, and I just loved it. My friend Pat had her nails and toes done as well. I got french tips down via powder and my toes just got regular polish. I like that I had a choice! Recently I went to a place that only did gel even if you didn't want gel! Peony made me feel so comfortable! I like the fact that the place didn't have the overwhelming smell of acetone. I had such a fantastic pedicure it will keep me coming back. I had a srub then a hot and cold pedi, I think they used biofreeze then warm/hot towels. 15minute massage and about 5 min of massage done with hot rock! My old rugged size 9.5 feet felt so good Trish is amazing! So shocking to seeing her tiny hands beat and probe my hammocks into relaxation. The shop is so clean and very peaceful. Vincent and holly do it again!! This is my second time to this salon, Vincent did my manicure using the dazzle dry system (it has the gel chip free effect but without the chemicals and UV light) and I loveeee it. My nail shape is consistent across all my fingers and cuticles have held up as well. Holly did my pedicure and did a fantastic job. My feet felt silky smooth at the end and I didn't even get the spa treatment. Both were really accommodating with my special requests of short nails. There's a great color selection too in variety. I love that they have all their colors painted on those fake nails things so you can see how the color looks. Dazzle dry is a bit pricier but it's worth the costs of not soaking your nails in chemicals. Can't wait to come back! read more

Most unimpressed. Made an appointment four days in advance with Vincent for a mani/pedi. Called the morning of to share I was running five minutes late-assuming Vincent had answered the phone. When I arrived I waited a few minutes as I watched Vincent do a manicure on someone else. So my appointment was completely ignored. He abruptly came up and asked if I was getting dipped nails. That was my intention initially but I could tell I would be treated differently and poorly if I got the classic. So I said I was just getting a regular mani/pedi. Already majorly disliked the vibe here. Had a random person tend to me even after I said I had made an appointment. She brought me a menu after I had already told Vincent what I wanted. Pedicure was rushed and manicure was even worse. I was rushed out of the pedi chair and by the time I arrived to the table for my manicure, the paint from three of my toes had smudged onto other toes. Manicure, while better than what I could do at home, was not much better. Nails are jagged and the job was super rushed since she had a client (no appointment) come in looking for her. When I went to leave, I asked the person at the register if it was typical when people scheduled appointments to be switched to other technicians. Her response to that was, "oh you want another appointment?" I laughed and left. I had high hopes for this place and I live close by but have no interest in returning. read more
