I come here all the time because it is so close to my home and the price for value is so great! Good atmosphere, nice techs and lots of colors to choose from. Best place in our area hands down. My favorite nail techs are Tina and Traci who sit in the back on the left, specifically for SNS and SNS French Tip! Their style is very natural looking (not thick) but last a while, for my naturally flimsy nails (2 weeks +) and if I get a color with sparkles, it lasts me over 4 weeks without chips or cracks! Before I got into SNS nails, my favorite nail tech was Ruby for was gel/shellac - she is fabulous for gel and so nice!!! She also does great SNS but only Tina and Traci can get the SNS to last more than a week on my nails without cracking, and I rarely do gel anymore. If you live out this way I'd recommend giving them a try! PLUS - George's Steak n' Things is right next door and it's so good! I always order a cheesesteak to go!! Extra fries! I saw Ruby here on Monday night and she absolutely amazing!! I've never gotten more compliments on my nails before and they're so clean. She even added tips on my shorter nails to make everything look great!! I get SNS polish, and to get them off instead of wrapping them in uncomfortable foil, she had these special things that stayed on my fingers so well!!! I was hesitant to try this place out, given the reviews (that woman's toenails - ), but I was desperate and I figured I'd be safe if I got Ruby who everyone swears by. I called and made and appt. there was a little bit of a language barrier but I thought I requested Ruby and they were going to squeeze me in but she has an appt. so I was confused but still went. I was disappointed when I didn't get Ruby. I got Diana randomly and I have to say... she was great!!! I highly recommend her. Polish job was great, she didn't rush through cuticles and she made sure the nails on each side matched in length. The place was very clean - and I was on high alert! The reviews said it was expensive. IDK what people typically pay, but I spent $40 total on a regular mani/pedi. Y'all that's like Florida prices! So affordable! Unsolicited, Golden nails donated several boxes of face masks to myself and coworkers from their own supply, and did so graciously and with poise. It is because of people like them, that this country has a chance of normalcy again. Been going here for some time now. I came in to get a pedicure only to find out they had raised all the prices without changing it on the website or in the salon. When I went to pay I was surprised and they all started getting frantic trying to explain about all the money they spent on the salon with the shields between chairs, masks, etc. They all got really rude after that talking amongst them selves about me I guess. I really don't think that was necessary to do-say all that but I most likely I won't be returning. DISAPPOINTING & CONDESCENDING Took my daughter for a quick pedicure - they asked if she'd like to 'clean up' her fingernails (no polish, just cuticles, she said. I didn't catch manicurist' name). Upon checking out, surprised that they added $18 (!) to the cost. Beside us, another customer was offered a spa pedicure or callous treatment and was told the prices (one as low as $5.) We naively assumed just 'cleaning up' fingernails wouldn't be the cost of a full manicure ($15) PLUS additional....What?!!! I'm surprised after reading the reviews that my experience was not a good one. I made an appointment online and unfortunately was told the she was not available. So I had to wait for someone else. She was a lovely lady. I expressed to her my nails were weak and I was using gels to keep my breakage to a minimum. Unfortunately instead of soaking my nails to remove the gel she was additionally removing the gel with a scraper and filling it down. This was painful and damaging. The gel paint went from nail to skin so this causes some of my gel polish to peel days after the gel application. It was a waste of $$. My salon in GA they lasted a full 2 weeks. Today was the first time I ever debated not tipping. If it weren't for my dad instilling in me to tip no matter what, I wouldn't have. I Used to tip my technician 20 bucks for a 40$ job because I was highly impressed. Today unfortunately I saw someone different and boy was she awful. I sat in her chair (no greeting, no water, straight business...) and I faced an onslaught of insults. I go tanning, so she said I look "dirty and unclean." I said she didn't have to finish, and throughout the entire time she huffed and puffed about the gel manicure I had on prior then accused me of having fake nails(?) she continued complaining while giving me the worst manicure I ever had. Crappy massage, barely even bothered to touch me. I almost got up to walk out half way through the job. Just a crappy experience... sadly even if I liked that 1 tech, I won't be back. I wish I could give this place -5 stars. I have never been so appalled from getting my nails done as I was leaving here. Came here to fix ONE nail. Would never come here for a full set. Sat down with Vi? Vi vi? (forgot her name). She spent maybe 5 minutes filing down my broken nail (acrylics) and putting new acrylics on there. As she started to file away, a corner of my entire nail melted off (acrylics were still wet). She continued on and started the french tip manicure. With a nail with a corner that was no longer there. What?! Who does that. So she continues to add paint, puts me through the UV gel machine. And a piece of fuzz/string is stuck in the gel. She said I was all set and charged me $5.00 for this service. It was SO bad, I asked to speak to a manager who upon seeing my nail, started yelling at her nail tech in their language. I have never seen someone send a customer away with a nail with only ONE corner (other side sloped) with a piece of giant fuzz melted into the gel. The manager/owner offered to file down my nail so it wasn't so lopsided, which I let her do. In terms of the paint, I had no time to stay and get that fixed. read more

I have been here twice and both times have been good! It's very tranquil in the place, so it's a good relaxing "me" moment to have. My pedicures have always turned out very nicely here and have only JUST gotten a gel manicure today, so we will see how it turns out. Did you know you can get a design painted on your big toe for a small charge extra? I think it adds to your look especially if you are trying to get sandal ready for summer. I have read reviews saying they use unclean implements but I have never seen that the times I have been, always using tools from almost a medical sterilizer type bag? I have posted pictures of my HORRIBLE mani and pedi and will let them speak a thousand words. Even after the nail tech Cindy did this to my nails the manager refused to issue a refund. When I went to my regular salon to have my nails redone they thought I had done them myself. I was pretty happy with this place. I decided to come here for a mani/pedi before heading out on a cruise vacation. I didn't have an appointment and was able to walk in with only a short wait.The pedicure was nice and it lasted a long time. My legs felt soft and my toes were pretty afterwards. The manicure was fantastic. I had let my nails grow a little bit and the french tips that the lady painted on were flawless. She used the gel polish and it lasted almost two weeks before it started growing out. I'd probably give this place 3.5 stars if that were an option. I paid about $70 for both which I think is reasonable. However the lady at the front desk was a little gruff and not overly friendly and the lady who worked on me never spoke a word except to ask me what colors I wanted. She tapped the lightboxes she wanted me to put my hands in instead of asking nicely. I was a little lonely throughout the whole process (but their magazine selection was good and current!). I came here once after I had heard nothing but wonderful things about this place from multiple friends and coworkers. The service, price, and atmosphere were that of a standard nail salon. I had no problems with any of these things. What completely turned me off was when my nail tech (can't remember her name) used a cuticle trimmer and a nail file that clearly had been used in a previous pedicure client and then not sanitized. I was mortified! She proceeded to use the tools on my hands. I was honestly too shocked to even question it (my fault). I left and have never been back since. Ladies and gentlemen, I am warning you. They are not consistent with proper sanitation, and that's a huge problem. Update: I see others have reviews related to sanitation issues. Their places have gone WAY up recently. Yes they do a great job, and in a nice and convenient location, but they don't warn you about their new prices until it's time for you to check out. I think they have long established clientele and that they have become a little complacent in what they are doing. I like the environment, it's a pretty salon. Folks are friendly. The staff here is polite, clean and exceptional. They always know my name, don't keep me waiting for my appointment and knew there stuff. Largest enough to take walk ins without waiting but small enough to know me as a person. There are nail salons everywhere but this place has become like family. Why I like it? Clean and polite!!! I have been coming here for over 10 years now. This place use to be located nearby the tanning salon closer to Gold's Gym (which used to be a Food Lion), and ever since they moved.. their business seemed like it boomed with more customers. They got a lot more employees too. This place just always seems to be busy. There has always been a wait time when I come in, so I recommend an scheduling for an appointment. The interior is really nice, but the place is smaller than a lot of other nail salons I've been to. It can get a little crowded but it's manageable. They even have a masseuse. I think it's almost $1 for every minute for a back massage. I've never gotten one done, but I've heard many great things. Now, as for the nails, I always get acrylic full set nails. A long time ago, it was easy for me to walk in and request a nail tech, but since this place got so busy... whenever I walk in, it would take me forever to get seated to a nail tech that I prefer. So the results of my nails always varies. sometimes they look amazing, sometimes they're so-so. I guess it's partly my fault that I don't ever make an appointment. anyways great place, just busy! read more

I have been here multiple times, I started coming here about a year or two ago and getting gel UV manicures. The gel manicures were satisfactory, but I found another place I liked better. I gave this place another chance after I switched to doing SNS acrylic dip powder manicures and was really disappointed. The woman who did my nails was nice, but she trash talked my previous dip manicure saying how when Golden does manicures they stay on for three or more weeks. I was excited thinking that my nails would be good to go and my nails looked great when they were done but three of my nails chipped within 2 days of getting them done. I went back to Golden to get the 3 nails fixed, and they gave me so much attitude after my technician assured me that they will fix the nails if they chip before 1 week. They tried to charge me for the nail fixes. The manicure was way too thin for my nails so it was cracking and chipping, the woman who fixed my nails made me BLEED and left me with acrylic residue all over my hands. I should have just gotten them redone somewhere else. I will never go back here. I paid so much money to get these done and they were not quality and the staff was not friendly or apologetic to me when the poor quality of their work had me take time out of my day to return to the store and get the nails fixed. I'm only giving them two stars because my technician was friendly and nice when I initially got them done, despite the poor quality of the manicure. read more

I think that means that they are treated right! At other salons I would get attached to one technician I liked -- and then she would leave and I would never know where she went. I frequented this salon three times saw three different technician. What disturbs me is I noticed none of them rinse the soaking bowl with any antiseptic or soap. They are rinsed in the sink and put away in the cabinet for the next persons use. This is unsanitary and I am afraid I will not go there again. I wonder if the owner is aware of this procedure. is it laziness or just a way to cut costs. Either way I will not go back there !
