I can't say enough great things about this place. Online booking makes it so easy to set up an appointment. From the start they make you feel comfortable and never weird or out of place like some nail places do. They are warm and welcoming. They are accommodating and give great advice. I used to get gel or dip and it ruined my nails. They suggested I get builder gel and, yes, it's a bit more expensive, however, my nails will last 3 weeks, no problem. Additionally, my nails aren't weakened by the whole filing process. They are super professional. Their work speaks for itself. It's beautiful, lasting, and, if you have a problem with a chip or anything, they fix it for you. Lastly - they are dog friendly. Rodney is an added touch to the whole experience. Alright- it was great. Ivy did an amazing job with my nails on the fly. I was a walk-in. I was super happy. They are a very cool modern salon. It was well worth it. Will I go again? I think you can tell a lot by a salon and how the skills of technicians vary -here there do seem to be at least a few high quality technicians but many scary inexperienced ones. Mine unfortunately nicked my finger not once but three times, including one time on the other side of my finger (where the fingerprint is..) while she was laughing and distracted chatting with someone and twice drew blood (around the nail). She also kept knocking stuff over and forgot to set the timer. She did apologize for the bleeding but she didn't even notice until I mentioned two of the three times...it's scary when there are sharp tools used to cut cuticles and a lot of trust is involved. Overall the technicians seemed to be more serious and focused, but I think I got especially unlucky. My friend also said she bled and her technician just graduated high school..I noticed the place taking a lot of photos for social media, but being very selective about who they asked (they also requested Google reviews, which might explain why I saw so many positive reviews). My nails were a bit messy (some nail polish around fingernails) and it was rough around the nails so the skin became very dry because filing was imprecise (I've had nails done before and never had it that rough and dry). It was just a lot more aggressive for my personal preference, but my toe nails were acceptable and still tipped 20% for service. I know the work is thankless so I tried to be as objective and fair as possible. My other friend did share she had a positive experience here but said she had to be really selective about the technician so hope this helps someone! So one of my good friends saw this nail salon and sent it to me. She said that based on the reviews and their Instagram, they would be perfect. My current nail salon just hasn't been cutting it recently and has sadly gone downhill... so of course, because I needed to get my nails done, I figured I would go here instead. I wanted to try Nieon Nails after I noticed their grand opening in Mosaic! I was able to book an appointment online when one of my nails was about to split in half while I was at work. Grace was very gentle removing the old polish and charms as well as cleaning my nails and cuticles. She was also able to fix and strengthen my nail that was about to break in half! I've been here twice so far to get a builder gel refill and both experiences have been great! their online booking is pretty easy and they generally have plenty of availability online a few days out. Their Instagram is very helpful if you're wanting a sense of each tech's ability because they tag them in their videos. Their appointment portal has reminder features! Free parking is easy nearby and a short walk from two garages. The salon is bright, friendly, and clean. The staff have always been friendly and timely! I had two diff nail techs and both times were good. My recent time was with Sue and she was great! She took her time to double check the shape, layers, painting designs, etc. she was also very helpful in identifying best color matches based on my pics and double checked each step to make sure I was happy! The tricky part (for me, anyways since I may be newer to nails) is I'm not sure how expensive a design will be. I know it varies based on complexity and how many fingers (which they do note on their website when you're booking), but I find their prices reasonable based on what I've seen elsewhere. read more

TL;DR bad work, poor ventilation, and unsanitary with tools. no cuticle prep = nails popped off in 4 hours. Lumps, bumps, raggedy cuticles oh my! And no refund. I didn't look closely enough at the work on Instagram, which with the graininess makes sense as to why I couldn't see the shoddy cuticle work. I have been getting my nails done professionally for over a decade, hard gel for the last five. My girl Minnaleah.Beauty from Orlando, FL is my gold standard but I've been looking for someone who can at least do a good job without chopping me up in NOVA. Most places I go to do good work generally but never do designs so I wanted to try a place that could design. The nail salon has a very strong smell from the moment you pass by the shop, door closed. The ventilation is not as strong as the other salons I've been to, there are no suite ventilators either. I arrived on time and waited about ten minutes before meeting Quin. The salon wasn't busy, mind you. There were two other clients and one who arrived when I was almost done. I filled out the questionnaire online, but when I arrived Quin didn't read it I guess because she didn't have a clue what I was getting. So I had to wait some more for her to prep for the pedicure. The pedicure wasn't great. And that's besides the lackluster leg massage that didn't include a foot massage. She was just putting lotion on the skin like Deliverance. She dropped the bag of utensils all over the floor and before I could say "hey!" She grabbed the buffer from the floor and started going at my toenails. She didn't get a clean bag of utensils just dumped the fallen ones into her work caddy. She mushed the fresh paint with her hand and put the color over the hole instead of repainting the nail so there's a glob of dull red color over shiny top coat and a ridge where she mushed it back. Thank God she already did my cuticles and didn't have to use them after she dropped them on the floor. Though I had to physically remove my foot when she tried to clip the inner part of my nail and yank it out (been there, done that, got the ingrown it causes). I don't know where these salons learn to do that. Please don't. Speaking of cuticles, there was no cuticle prep work for my hard gel nails. Quin buzzed parts of my nails with the drill to rough them up (standard), but did no cuticle push back so my nail beds still have plenty of cuticle stuck on them. First she glued nail tips (i usually have mine built because my nail beds are so small and she had a hard time finding tips that fit. Then she filed the side of my thumb so hard that it was red and tender. She kept putting my nails under the UV lamp when it wasn't necessary. Dehydrator? UV. Primer? UV. Why? She didn't know and neither did I! There are no apexes on my nails (apexes hold the strength of the nails where they are most fragile) and the built gel nail is wobbly with dips. I thought she would nuke them to add the apex in a different way, maybe? Nope. I showed her the design I wanted, just jelly cat eyes, but she seemed frustrated about it. "You should have picked a different color!" Hey, i just showed the guy at the front what I was getting and he gave me the colors he said yall had for the design. Apparently them looking 1 week grown out with raggedy cuticles is the way they do things here? I needed to make my hands look manicured on my own at home I guess. You can see in the photos, day of fresh in the salon. I should've know that after a piece of faux fur from their social media area caught under my nail, it was going to be trouble. And I was right; after I showered, my first nail popped off that night! By Saturday I had my thumb pop off and two others lifting at the edges. Once is a mistake, twice is a coincidence, but three times is an enemy action, so I called asking for a refund. There's no point in getting two nails fixed when it's obvious the whole thing is falling apart. Do I want Quin to fix them instead on Tuesday? No thanks, I've got an event Monday (why I got my nails done) and my nails are torn and thin from the drilling and nails popping off. Can I get a refund? No, the manager said no refunds. But you can get them fixed by the manager. I don't have time to get them done next week. I'm looking crazy with my hand half done and my other hand catching in my hair from the lifting edges. I just wanted a refund, I can soak the rest off at home. All in all, I won't be coming back and can't recommend you do either. read more

I am new to nails and Lexie not only was super responsive but she was also very understanding. She not only guided me through the process but even took time to follow up with me on how my nails were holding up and whether I wanted to change it up for the next time. I went back and saw Leo the second time and his attention to detail is like no other. I showed him the design I wanted and he went above and beyond to match it. At one point, he was unsatisfied with the way the design looked and took the time to redo it to his standards. We wanted to get pedicures this past weekend for my birthday, so we went to Mosiac and saw Nieon Nails. It must have been new, so we walked in. We didn't have an appointment but luckily they had a spot for us in a few minutes. I don't get my nails done often, usually on special occasions. The staff was so kind and explained all their specials. The pedicure station all have massage chairs and they offer you a drink while you relax. I didn't get the gentleman's name who did my pedicure, but he also did a great job painting my toes. A different nail tech worked on my manicure and was so kind and always asked if things were okay and needs any changes before continuing. Elvis did an awesome job!! I don't write reviews. Ever. But that this salon has a 4.7 rating at the time of me writing this is insane. I'm not picky when it comes to nail salons- most are fairly similar, so you'll get run of the mill customer service and ambiance. BUT out of my 3 services (BIAB manicure, deluxe pedicure, and an eyebrow waxing), 2 were epic fails. My eyebrows are horrible - when I arrived, they were just a little overgrown. Now one is thinner than a pencil and still has hair in the wax area that should've been pulled ( only used a total of 4 wax strips for between both brows). They're horrible and it's not really something that can be fixed--- and I wouldn't trust them to try-- would I just end up with Disney villain eyebrows!?! And then the BIAB manicure. I asked for what I wanted and I was told no to tips being added- not because of time but because I work at a computer. Andy said he could make it work with my natural nails. He said he could do it. I chose to believe the professional. I have no less than 4 shapes across my nails. None are even close to the same size or shape AND I left bleeding. I've never had such a horrible experience. My nails didn't last long at all. The product started lifting and chipping after a week and a half. I lived too far to return so I just left it. And though Lexie was very nice, she basically shouted me down when I told her that the product on my nails was gel and not acrylic. I should have taken pictures but didn't think of it until someone suggested I write a review. It would be beneficial to be more respectful of your customers and listen when they tell you what's on their nails. I would know, as I was there when they were done. I would also suggest a higher quality acrylic so the results are more professional and not messy underneath the polish. I would never go back here to have my nails done ever again! read more
