Kim was my nail tech, she did my nails and did a phenomenal job. The reason for the mid rating because of the price. It was 34 for the fill in and then an additional 19 because I have gel nails , that's 53 for a fill in , that is absolutely ludicrous. Then I was charged 15 for a few lines. Nancy FOR LIFE. I followed Nancy to Pro Nails 3 after having my nails done by her for the past 10 years. That's right, 10 years. It's not that I'm loyal; it's that Nancy has gained my complete trust when it comes to my feet, nails, and eyebrows. She used to be in Annandale (which was literally 3min from my house) but I will gladly drive 20min to her. Nancy has done just about everything with my nails- full sets, gel, shellac, SNS, etc. right now, I'm a huge fan of SNS as it allows my to grow my nails out (which has been something I've been unable to do for years due to a horrible anxiety induced nail biting habit). Nancy has seen the evolution of my nails and has been SUPER patient with it. She is meticulous and cares about my nails and the way they look. If they don't look perfect, she will be the first to say it and will insist on fixing it. She also cares about the health of my nails. She will tell me if something isn't good for my nails or will prevent it from being strong. This is something I appreciate as she knows I've been trying to grow my nails out. Now that my nails are long on their own, she's been amazing with caring for them. Don't even get me started with the way she's able to design nails. French tip, half moons- she will go what it takes to give you what you want. She has been the only one to shape my nails just right. I've been to other nail techs and they just don't seem to be at her level. With pedicures (especially the spa kind), she really exceeds expectations. I have ingrown toe nails and Nancy makes sure to help in that department. If you have ingrown nail problems, Nancy is you go-to as she knows what she's doing. Also- my. Eyebrows. Nancy not only discovered my shape but has been keeping my bushy brows tamed. She listens to what you want and triple checks to be sure she delivers. As for the location and salon itself- it's clean and accommodating. The ladies are all so friendly and I feel very welcomed when I come in. They have a great selection of colors and SNS powders! I followed Nancy here from her last salon in Annandale, even after I moved all the way to Reston. She's worth it!! This location is well-located, clean and offers a variety of services, including SNS (which I've grown to absolutely LOVE). Nancy KNOWS NAILS. She never glops on the polish but is patient and will do two to three layers without ever rushing. I got a regular polish pedicure and a gel manicure, I paid 65$ (with out tip obviously). Both services included a paraffin wax treatment for both my feet and hands. I've never had it done on my feet so it was a nice experience that made it worth the 65$. I had two different people work on me, one was Nancy, she was really sweet but had to move onto another client who walked in a little after me. This kind of bothered me but it was really not a big deal because Ms. Nancy did a nice job and still took her time. Overall, I felt very relaxed and was pleased with my polished toes! :-) The other woman who did my manicure, (sorry I don't remember her name, I will try to update) started cutting my cuticles really roughly and aggressively, she actually cut me and I started bleeding. She treated it with some drops and yellow powder (she told me its anti-bacterial or something along the lines). She relaxed a bit after this and gave me a nice manicure. I didn't see the color I wanted, so I asked her and she told me sorry hunny I don't know. Okay well can you find out?! Finally I found a color similar to almost what I wanted. She than told me to come to the last seat. Water temp was great. But from there on it went okay, then to bad. She cut my nails too short. Over scrubbed my heal and it started to bleed. Then when the hot paraffin went on, it burned my heel. It was kinda quiet until next group of customers came in. Then the co-workers started talking more and more. I wasn't even asked if I wanted something to drink. There was not key pad for the massage. I totally felt uncomfortable, and rushed like I was wasting her time. Everyone's experience is different. Nancy is the best! I do dip nails with her and no one compares to her. I used to get gel at other salons and it would only last a week. I used to get dip nails at other salons and they would get progressively worse each time I got them done. They would be thick and wouldn't last long. Update *****: I changed the rating from a 3 to a 1 star. One of my nails came off and I didn't even notice it. Meaning, the nail was not put on right. If it was put on right and secure it would have been painful and definitely noticeable. Not coming back Did my nails okay enough for me to possibly come back.
