If you want your nails to be rough with deep vertical nail ridges, Vogue is your salon. My regular, excellent nail technician was away and I needed a mani-pedi. I chose Vogue based on reviews and I am now experiencing the problematic results. Although I rarely use gel, I was going away and a very nice, competent nail technician applied it and gave me a regular pedicure. When I returned to have the gel polish removed, Ginny scraped it off despite almost digging into the nails, and my requests to be more gentle. More than a week later after using nail strengthener, my formerly smooth nails are dry into the cuticles, and will have to totally grow out to repair themselves. read more

I rarely leave reviews but feel like I should in this case. There are so many nail salons in the area. Try somewhere else. I ended up at Vogue nails when two of the other salons in the area that I frequent were booked up. I thought it was weird they had plenty of availability but was happy someone could take me. In that first nail appt I got red nails. Somehow they forgot to put down the primer layer so they dyed my nail beds red. When I came back, I had to go dark in order to cover it until the entire nail grew out. In that second appointment, it was at Christmas time and they were running a special where you could get $250 on a gift card for $150. I agreed to buy it and planned to use it for that trip. I was then told when checking out that it was only good in the future. So, fine. I left with a $250 gift card. The dip nails didn't last so I was quickly back using my gift card. I thought that was ok, because at least the gift card was a good deal and they had texted me a 10% off offer if I booked an appointment. I was quite annoyed however when the manager informed me I couldn't combine the deals...and even more annoyed when the nails didn't last, again. I went back 2 more times to use up the gift card with similar results and customer service each time. The card is finally used up and I won't be back. Adding a few pictures of my nails including pictures of my nails right now, little over a week from my last dip treatment, with 2 cracked and 1 totally broken off. read more

Amazing went there 5 + times throughout the year ! And consistently listened to what I wanted. And executed it beautifully . The staff is super nice the last two times I went with ruby. She's fast and good at what she does ! And the other times were with Jenny and tk and loan. The boss is a great host too. Just be vocal of what you want and they will do it beautifully. I did my pedicures with Jenny ! And I love the color we picked ! I went to a lot of places in Fairfax and this is the one place that is consistently executed better than i anticipated. I got a traditional gel manicure and saw no lifting or chipping over nearly three weeks! I'm not sure what happened during my recent visit there, and I may come off as that one bitter one among these many good reviews. I'm a bit taken aback my treatment at the nail salon because I came in looking to get my nails done after not having them done after a long time and after a major surgery on Sunday. So, I was a walk in customer. I asked about the different types of services and then how long the service might be. The manager asked how long I have for the service, and I said that I'd have to get back home as soon as possible because I have a newborn. In reply, he said "talk less" - .. I get it. Ok, so I go get my mani and pedi started and the technician was very aggressive and seemed angry and condescending towards me the whole time! She did not say a word to me during the whole pedicure, but was kind enough to throw out $20 of food I bought. (I lost my appetite to eat because of the way I was getting treated and did not care that she was throwing it out.) I did a chin wax too and she also seemed as angry! She filed my cuticles down with the electric filer and then the other devices but proceeded almost angrily. Hours later, I feel the impact of the aggression on both my hands and feet. I'm not sure what I did to get treated so badly. But, I'm upset because it was over $100 (which of course I was willing to spend as long as the services were good). And, once again I wanted to go get my nails done to clean up after giving birth and major abdominal surgery. Instead, there was unexplained and misguided anger. Honestly, don't go after someone's cuticles if you're pissed. But, don't just get mad at someone within 2 minutes of taking them in as a customer. Nails came out looking ok so 1 more star for that. I'm sorry I forgot the name of the lady that did my pedicure but she was pleasant, friendly, offered me refreshment and gave me the BEST pedicure I've ever received. My friend and I came in as a last minute booking. The place was SPOTLESS and decorated nicely. I noticed they were pretty busy but didn't seem rushed; Tony at the front was very nice and professional. I love it when salons offer you drinks or snacks as it shows warmth and good customer service and that is what he did! We only had a wax appointment so I can't speak for any nail treatments. But TK was super sweet and professional. Again, I was impressed with the cleanliness of everywhere I looked. I will probably make this my new regular place as I just had an issue with my old one. This salon is crazy overpriced for work that is subpar, minus Jim. Jim is great, and deserves recognition. Let me first start by saying when my daughter got her tips done she asked for French tips and they said it would be 10$ more. The technician asked if she wanted dip and we said no. At the end of the appointment she charged my 14 yo daughter 75$! When I questioned it she told me she did dip. I told her we specifically said no dip, and the technician said sorry these don't last unless it's dip! So she outright did a service we didn't ask for and charged a ridiculous amount for it. Then, today, I walked in for my daughter to have her tips removed (Now they did last the full time but she was ready for them to be off). The manager was there and I walked in saying we had them done here and we wanted to remove them. He called a technician over and she was starting to remove them, half way through the removal, he came over and said that will 12$ to remove! I was shocked and told him before he stated the process he should have told us this, he said, "it's in our pamphlet" I said I didn't read the pamphlet and he said "sorry." I said well I'm not okay with this charge so he then had the technician remove the foils on my daughter's fingers! I couldn't believe it! He was rude and did not care. I will never ever step foot in this scam of a nail salon again!
