IMPORTANT UPDATE (August 13, 2024)…read more I was a loyal Luray customer for over 3 years but my last visit this week has made me walk away from Luray and find a new nail salon I can call home. My go to nail tech Tammy was taking a much needed and well deserved 5 week vacation and ensured that before she left she let me know who would be doing my nails (as I get very intricate designs and pedicures every 2 weeks) and that nail tech was Kate. I had a hunch Kate may be nervous about doing my nails so I intentionally waited 3 weeks before making my appointment and also selected a very basic nail design for her to complete to make things easier for both of us until Tammy returned. Kate immediately greeted my by saying she hoped I didn't have a difficult design and began removing my prior design and completing my refill. When I showed Kate the design I wanted (which was simple) she immediately said she could not complete that design and that I needed to get cats eye or chrome to which I reminded her she knew that was not my style ... Kate basically said too bad and that she wasn't doing the design I wanted. I then stated that I would find a different salon to do my design and pedicure and she simply said OK. I was truly disappointed but became even more upset when I looked at my nails to see that Kate completed my refill over FUNGUS! When I asked her why she would do that she said because Tammy would fix it when she returned from vacation in 2 weeks. To make matters worse when I discussed this experience with the owners they said Kate could refuse any service she wanted to and that there was basically nothing they could do other than offer me a 10% discount on my NEXT SERVICE! Needless to say I told them there would be no next service for me as that day would be my last day patronizing Luray since they were providing such a terrible experience in addition to potentially causing me HEALTH CONCERNS by completing a refill over evident FUNGUS and allowing it to sit under my nails for 2 weeks until Tammy returned. I went to another nail salon and explained and showed what occurred and they immediately removed the refill removing the fungus and also completed my design PERFECTLY on the first try! The new salon (The GLOSSARY in Reston) won me as a new customer that day and although I'm sad to say goodbye to Tammy. I am happy to now give my money to a salon who values me and takes nail health seriously.

My first time coming to this salon- it was an impromptu nail day after yoga…read more I called ahead and they had time to accept two walk-ins for me and my friend (we had struck out at two other places). It's in the same shopping center as Moby Dick and PJ Skidoos. Parking is easy and complimentary in the shared lot. I lucked out with Mia- she was wonderful and allowed me to see what the color would look like on my nail when I was having trouble deciding between two colors. She was patient but also asked if she get started on the shaping while I decided on the color. It was my first time getting a jelly gel nail- so I was kind of indecisive. Treatment consisted of shaping, cuticle care, and a hand mask. I got the cuticle oil at the end but noticed my friend also got lotion, which I didn't get so I think could be slightly different per tech. On the other hand, my friend picked a color and the color on the nail didn't match it- it was more orangey- when she brought it up; her nail tech went to my nail tech to ask for help. They did re do it for her but I think it took some courage for my friend to speak up. The gel nail manicure was $40, and a $8 tip. Wouldn't be opposed to going back. I also liked that it looked clean and didn't smell of chemicals like some other salons. Edit: less than 1.5 weeks and my nail polish chipped off :( so sad and it seems like the end portion is far from the start of my nail, making it look like a need a new manicure soon- and looking back she did start slightly further than the start of the nail. I wished it would at least last me 3 weeks

Updating my last review!…read more I have posted before but I need to give another shout out to Bella Nails in Centreville! I have been coming here for years and this is one of the very FEW places where I can come in and go to any nail tech if my go-to people are booked up, and I leave with a fantastic set of nails every time! Services I have tried: mani/pedi, gel mani/regular pedi, full set, fills, gel, designs, French tip, and the various levels of pedicures (I highly recommend the one where they do the scrub and the paraffin - forgot what it's called)! On top of the actual nail services being great, the salon is clean, adorably decorated, and well lit. The prices are reasonable and the staff are always so friendly and pleasant! My only wish is that they had some spa music playing to complete the spa/salon experience, but earbuds and Pandora suffice :) Highly recommended!!

From the moment you walk through the door, you are treated with such warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality. Everyone is incredibly friendly, personable, and welcoming, and they have a way of making you feel like much more than just another appointment on their schedule. One of the things I appreciate most is how authentic the experience feels. The conversations are genuine, thoughtful, and personable--you can tell they truly take the time to get to know their clients and remember the little things about their lives. Over the years, that has made every appointment feel comfortable and familiar, almost like catching up with friends while also getting a little time to relax and be taken care of. They are also incredibly attentive and detailed in their work. They take their time, listen to what you want, and genuinely care about making sure you leave happy. I have always felt well cared for, and I love that they seem to give that same level of attention and kindness to every person who walks through their doors. Something that has become especially meaningful to me is how welcoming and wonderful they are with children. Bringing a child along can sometimes feel stressful or like you are inconveniencing someone, but I have never been made to feel that way here. Instead, they are patient, sweet, accommodating, and make children feel just as welcome and special. That kindness means more than they probably realize and says so much about the type of people they are. There is such a warm and positive atmosphere here. They manage to make every client feel seen, valued, comfortable, and cared for while still providing beautiful, detailed work. It is rare to find a business where the customer service feels this genuine and personal. After years of coming here, I can confidently say that it is so much more than simply getting my nails done. It is the kindness, conversations, familiar faces, attention to detail, and the way they make every visit feel special that keeps me coming back. I am so grateful to have found a salon where I always feel welcomed and taken care of. I cannot recommend them enough!
