I have been coming to this place since we moved to the area in 2018. It has definitely gone downhill since. I appreciate that I can stop by any time, with minimal wait times. The color selection is also decent. Now, to the cons: - I have had a couple of gel manicure that peeled off within a day or two. - many of their nail polishes are old, and you can tell that by the consistency of the polish, or by the fact that it indent within a few hours of application. - I have also had regular nail polish applied that would literally peel off like a sticker and then a couple of hours of application. - I was also surprised that they stopped offering the paraffin wax dip for regular manicures. I really loved those. - they charge +$1 for every extra color they apply for children. I think that's crazy! If your kid wants 5 colors applies, for example, that is $5 extra! I hope they get their act together because they were really good and their technicians are good for the most part. read more

I took me mom here for her birthday and we had a great experience! She got a mani and pedi and I got gel mani and pedi. I made an appointment the day before and thank goodness I did because they were busy! In spite of that, they they still took their time with each customer which was nice! I love that all of their utensils are cleaned and bagged so each customer gets a fresh set every time. My mom had a great time. The only thing that she didn't like is her lady accidentally cut a little too close on one of her toes to it hurt her. But thankfully it did not bleed Other than that, the vibe is great. Wow! I can't even express how much I love my nails that Vivian did. On top of that I was a walk in and had no idea if I'd get what I wanted. I showed the front desk lady a picture of what I was hoping for and she told me to go pick my color for my toes, and two for my nails. I did as told and shortly after was in a seat getting a well needed pedicure with Vivian. Afterwards, I was moved to her nail station and she practiced with the colors I picked and suggested a different base color and showed me why with examples! After that I left her do her thing and it shows that she took her time because they look phenomenal. The nail tech I was assigned to today nearly ripped my nails off with a clipper. And when I told her how much it hurt, she laughed. And continued to laugh as she was watching me hold my finger. Once she was done laughing, she told me that she thought the acryllic that was on my finger was already loose and was already coming off. Hence, the reason why she yanked it with a clipper. At which point, I told her I will pay for what I owe, I stood up from chair and told her that I would be going somewhere else to finish my nails. A manager ran outside while I was getting in my car to ask what happened. And I explained what happened to her. I thought that the Manager would apologize for the nail tech's carelessness but instead, she only made excuses for her. And once I called her out on it, only then did she offer to wrap up my finger. Absolutely horrible!! T-T the nail technician didn't say a single word to me. Never asked if I liked the color. The massage was half way done. She had the worst attitude ever. Didn't even pass me my shoes or help me out of the chair. Never thanked me when I paid. Will never go back to that place and everyone in the salon when I was there seemed to be new. Needed a mani/pedi bad. Made time in between mtgs today. Glad I called for a last minute appt. Service did not disappoint. I was dozing off sitting in the massage chair, then again while trying to sit upright at the nail station. No paraffin wax with the regular pedicure anymore but they do scrub, lotion, and hot towel. They also put booties and gloves on your hands and feet during your service for a min or 2, so the lotion can soften your skin. Prices were very reasonable. The manicurist had started filing nails AFTER gel was applied so the edges were not sealed with the topcoat, resulting in major lifting a few days later. She also was not accommodating about color choices. I asked for a particular color and she claimed that they did not have it and did not offer to bring another color swatch when I saw several hanging on the wall. When I moved from the pedicure chair to have my manicure done, the woman next to me had the color I asked for. I wanted to really like this place, read the reviews on a pedicure and I typically like to do regular pedicures until I know I can trust a $55 gel one. Unfortunately my experience was rushed and the tech didn't even bother to check for ingrowns or clean my cuticles well. She rushed my $40 pedicure. The parafin and oil massage was nice, but it burned me really bad. Honestly super sloppy work and didn't appreciate receiving an attitude from the lady who did my nails everytime I asked her to correct her sloppy work. I asked for french tips, a nail salon staple and essential to know as a nail tech and she messed that up. the manager tracy offered to redo them for me which I appreciated but still, the quality is poor. I have gotten this exact same set before at a different salon & it has lasted me a month. Let me start off by saying that I've visited almost every nail salon from Lorton, to Springfield and all through Annandale and this was by far the best all around experience. Nail Technicians: My suggestion is always to make an appointment as walk-in's are notoriously rushed services squeezing between appointments. In this case, I did make an appointment. I asked my Tech about the other tech's and she genuinely stated that everyone in the salon was great - not the generic sense I usually get from the person that answers the phone. Atmosphere: By the looks of the outside (located in a corporate strip mall). This Salon was very clean, stations were not full of personal clutter, enough space between pedicure bowls that you don't feel like a cow getting into a chair and all around really great layout. Having been at this location for (5) years, you would never guess the age of the salon. Choices: Really great selection of colors. I did choose gel however they had two full racks of regular polishes. On A personal note I was happy that their whole gel selection was not all OPI as OPI always makes my nails break and not last a regular 2+ weeks, so happy to see other color bands. Shortly 5 days of getting a shellac manicure here, my nails started to grow out and the polish started ripping off when I washed my hair. I went back to the salon to get the nail polish removed. Although I had experienced poor service when I got my nails done from a rude technician, I decided to go back and give another try with a different technician. The staff had recognized me immediately and profusely apologized and only charged me $5 for removal and gave me some complementary water. It took about 20 minutes for removal with acetone and nail polish were scraped off. Although I was impressed by the service, there was one thing the technician said that caught me by surprise. She told me my nails were weak and that I should come back to strengthen them. This is ironic as my nails are growing out very jagged, become extremely thin, chipping, and keep ripping off thanks to that shellac manicure that I had...6 weeks ago! See my poor nails from the pics. Before I got the shellac manicure here, the last time I had a manicure was over 6 months ago I've had my fair share of manicures and pedicures done, and never have my nails been so weak from just one shellac mani. You gotta keep going for your nails to start thinning. Although it's tempting to get the shellac manicure here with "chrome" (which gives a nice glossy look), your poor nails (not to mention your wallet!) will pay a hefty price! read more
