I've gotten plenty of waxes and there's usually a hair or two left behind or it grows back quickly, but you get your time and money's worth at Kasi Wax and won't need to come back for at least four weeks. Prices are reasonable and less than other places for some services. Outside of leaving completely hair free, you won't have many (if any) ingrowns even if you usually get them. The worst possible experience a girl could have! I bought a package because they said it's applicable at anytime! Showed up, told me not useable by first time clients. Wanted a refund. 1) manager IS NOT EVEN THERE!! Her employees can't call her and can only "text her", whatever that means. 2) finally spoke to the manager after waiting, and she said the name on the payment doesn't match mine or my mothers, which is not even possible. I'd give more stars if it were possible. I'm so grateful to have found this place! I waited a week after my visit to Kasi Wax to post because I had to both (A) look for any latent adverse reactions to the procedures and (B) come to terms with the idea that waxing could be "fun"...Seriously, working with Poorja was a dramatically more pleasant waxing experience than I'd had at another establishment who doesn't even deserve acknowledgement in this review (but their post wax serum is bomb, tho). My previous waxing professional had 10 months experience and did no kind of prepwork, other than letting me use the on-site single-person bathroom for my brazilian. No trimming, no numbing lotion, and no idea how to remove the hair most efficiently. Poorja has 7 years experience, told me all about her husband and son and her move to NOVA from Nepal all while threading and waxing my brows and handling my underarms and undercarriage with near military precision. I'm VERY sensitive but Poorja minimized my discomfort so effectively I almost thought I had been drugged. I missed the lack of a private restroom (you have to use the Family restroom across the mall walkway) but I loved the addition of the numbing agent AND Poorja's competence. My last wax was legit painful and I couldn't understand how waxing could be a luxurious experience until now! I'm sold. I'll be a regular at Kasi for sure. Went to Kasi wax for the first time for my birthday this year and I had a really pleasant experience. I booked my appointment with Pooja and it had...been a while lol. She was so sweet and my wax was pretty much painless and it went by so quickly! Everything was very clean and my appointment was also in the morning and it was super quiet too. If it's your first time, make sure to get there early and to park as close as possible. You will need to walk through Macy's and past Sephora to get there, important to factor that into your travel time so as to be on time to your appointment. I had such an amazing experience here pre-COVID-19 and can't wait to go back once it's safe! I'm so used to going to the chain in the mall, Eyebrow Designer 21 and they usually do a decent enough job for a good price. I walked into KASI Wax on a weekday without an appointment and was stunned by the beautiful layout, individual rooms, and nice lighting everywhere. Pooja greeted me and I told her I wanted hard wax for my troubled chin area and threading for my eyebrows. The wax was amazing!!! It was so painless and fast and when I asked her about it she said they make their own. Her threading technique was also fabulous and I love how my eyebrows looked. I was done in less than 10 mins. It is a little pricier than eyebrows designer but nothing was messed up as sometimes they can be a little off at eyebrow designer. It looks like they have a lot of clients who come in for regular Brazilians as you can buy packages and its great how the rooms are nice and private. I would definitely trust these ladies for any wax or threading job. Another bonus was the lovely snack area that they set up with healthy snacks, chocolate, tea and coffee. Very thoughtful! I love their message on Facebook that they will see us soon after the pandemic is over and not to shave! Yes. I've had appointments with multiple waxers but recently I've been going only to Kathy. Everyone is great but Kathy really just does an incredible job. She's really nice and doesn't miss a single hair. She applies the wax with a new stick every time and uses tweezers at the end. The prices here are also better than others in the area. The best wax salon by far, that I've been to. I've been going to them to get work done, since they were at their previous location inside of the hair salon. I trust this salon so much, I only book with them and make the drive all the way up from Crystal City. I don't believe I've been waxed by all of their staff, but I wouldn't be worried as everyone I've had so far has been great. Their new location is really nice and cute, I'm glad they were able to grow and expand their operations. The decor is really chic, and they offer free beverages, snacks, and they have bowls of candy scattered around EVERYWHERE (even in the enclosed waxing rooms). I get my brows and lip done consistently here and I like that they wax first, then thread the rest. They also trim my brows and groom it, which I find is the nice little finishing touch. When I get my Brazilian waxes done, they're always so efficient and caring when they know a patch is going to hurt. I had a Brazilian wax with Pooja about 3 wks ago. I loved that they offer scheduling through their website and pricing is very reasonable for the area. The actual waxing part was very efficient but also very thorough--everything was done within 30 min. This place does not double dip, which is so important for sanitary purposes. However what I appreciate the most is that Pooja was able to get every hair. After waxing she used a tweezer to remove the hairs that were missed. I really appreciate the attention to detail. I've been to a few waxing places in the area and not everyone does this. The location in Tysons Corner mall is very easy to find. And depending on the time of the day you can get in and out very quickly. One minor con: the bathrooms are the same shared ones for the mall. read more

I asked Sammy not to wax, only thread, because my skin reacts to wax and I get hives. Every. Time. After she finished she saw my skin was red and bumpy. She said that first time customers must always get wax but going forward I will be able to request thread only. And, the worst part, the brows are uneven. Right one is lower and thinner than the left. It doesn't look good at all. I'm embarrassed to be seen. I also asked for information on brow tint and had a few questions. Her answers were short and didn't provide much insight into the process so I kept asking questions. My wife stopped in to get her eyebrows done while we were at the mall. They had a 30 min wait which isn't too bad, but the best part is that they call you so you can continue shopping while you wait. We showed up five minutes before her scheduled time and the aesthetician was free so they took her out back early. My wife was really happy with how the rep took her time and made sure she was getting even and full eyebrows. My wife paid in the back with the rep and was in and out within 15 minutes. My regular waxer is Indira - she always does an excellent and thorough job and provides advice on how to care for the skin afterwards, how to avoid ingrown hairs, etc. I have also been waxed by Sammy and Pooja, and all of them show the same attention to detail and thoroughness in their work. This will continue to be my go-to place for waxing! The location is also quite convenient inside Tysons Corner Center.
