First time visiting this salon. I stopped by for a gel pedicure as a walk-in without an appointment. I came during the week, midday. They took great care of me. The tech was attentive, paid attention to detail and was very nice. The atmosphere is very relaxing, clean and very modern decor. The pedi massage chairs are wonderful. Exceptional service and relaxing ambiance with views displaying the lower level of the Boro. I truly enjoyed how thorough my nail tech was. Often times nail techs in salons tend to cut corners and the experience ends up feeling rushed. It seems as if steps within the pedicure are done simply for the sake of checking off the box of each step in the pedicure, rather than the overall health of your feet. However, I appreciated that the staff seemed to really take their time to make sure each step of the pedicure was appropriately done. I was offered tea during my visit and a heated neck wrap during my pedicure. There was also a visible difference in the texture of my skin and was pleased with the results overall. Despite not getting what I asked and continuously reminding the woman doing my nails what I wanted I kept being reassured she would do it then she continued to just focus on talking with the rest of the staff. What started as a peaceful experience turned into not listening or caring about what I was wanting. The entire staff took turns coming to her and speaking with her which would make her pause and give them her full attention. (Made the process way longer). After making my cuticles bleed and telling her I was in pain she kept laughing and saying sorry. I then just asked her to fix my shape and make it sharper which she didn't do at all. Also the gel was very thick on the inside and pressing down very hard on each nail which was extremely painful. This place is a total scam. Extremely overpriced and completely unprofessional. I went twice to fix my nails and they still looked horrible. They charged us $390 for a pedicure and Gel-X manicure, and I even gave them almost $120 in tips -- and they still had an attitude and did a terrible job. They do my natural nails using dip powder but apply it as a gel (which I haven't seen done/ offered at other salons I've been to), they're so strong and do not chip. I was sat by the windows and although it was raining that day it was still a nice scenery to look out too. The pedicure itself was very relaxing and she handled me with such care. I have finally found my nail shop and I'm so thrilled. The salon is modern, nice and the staff is very friendly. My technician is Jenny and she is an amazing artist. She is diligent, gentle, and very skillful. I have been seeing Jenny for a while now and she is always up to a challenge of my request for design. It was my first time there last Saturday. Now it's only Sunday night, and already five of my nails have fallen off (see pictures). I'm not sure how long other people's sets usually last, but $40 plus a $10 tip for something that didn't even make it through the week is pretty ridiculous. I've never had an experience like this before. This week is my vacation--I haven't been cooking or washing anything--so there's no reason for this kind of wear and tear. I've been going to Tysons Nail Lounge for over 3 years. I absolutely love my nail tech, Henry. You can tell he's married to the craft and has been doing this for a while. When it's time for fill ins, he's usually not there, soo take whomever has availability. However, I think it's time to take my business elsewhere. One thing that pisses me off is shady business practices. This is the second time I've gone in for a fill in and felt like I was bamboozled! The first time, I was charged nearly $70....I could've gotten an entire new set for that price! I was told they charged extra for my length and because they had to shape. My nails were already shaped and I didn't ask for a new shape. The length was the length of the original set....its a fill in....how do you charge extra for that?! Okay fast forward to today. I checked prices online before making my appointment. I called and indicated I wanted a fill in. Upon check in, the screen reads fill in with gel polish. I know that's almost $20 more and I express that I don't want gel polish, I want regular polish. The clerk tells me that I can't get regular polish on acrylic nails....excuse me?? She says I have to do gel and it'll be $53. I'm pissed, but okay fine. The tech who's doing my nails asks me if I have gel on my nails; if so I can't use the regular polish I'd just chosen (I always choose regular polish and Henry will go get the gel version if it's a color he thinks would look better in gel). She says she'd have to take my nails off and start a new set. M'am just go find the gel equivalent of this color. I noticed she proceeded on my nails and didn't go get the gel. So fast forward to it being time to paint my nails, she's finally gotten the gel, however what I find weird is that she's trying to sale me on the gel. She explains how the color will look richer, dries quicker and lasts longer..... ummmmm excuse me? I thought I didn't have a choice?! I don't have the energy to argue, so I tell her to move forward with the gel. Then a light bulb goes off, I ask her to paint one nail with gel and another with regular polish so that I can see the difference. She's hesitant at first and says, "there exactly the same"....weird response from someone who literally begged me to get gel...nonetheless prove it....she paints one nail with gel and the other with regular....I end up liking the gel shade better so I proceed with that one, but the quality looked identical. They're putting multiple layers on either way. Moral of the story, if I have choice, let me choose! Don't upsell me based on lies....I find this to be bad business and quite unethical. read more

I came here on a Sunday afternoon to get a pedicure and overall it was a good experience. I chose the "stress relief lavender & mint" option and it was very relaxing! I definitely felt pampered and the nail technician did a great job applying the polish. When I first sat down, she asked if I wanted water, tea, coffee, or wine. The salon is clean and has a nice ambience. Note: I'd recommend making appointments online versus calling. I had made my appointment via phone, but when I got to the salon and told the receptionist I had booked an appointment, it seemed as though they didn't have my name in the system. (She looked confused and had asked me more than once if I had booked my appointment online.) Thankfully the salon wasn't crowded at all and I was able to get my pedicure done right away, but I can imagine that I'd have probably have had to wait if there were more people. read more

I am updating this review in response to the business. I never asked for all dip powder to be removed and redone. That is absolutely not true, and is exactly why I had to write the review in the first place. I simply asked "is there anything we can do, to prevent the rest from chipping" this is when the manager produced a piece of paper with their 10 day policy that I had never seen before and continued to argue with me. As I said before had I known about this policy I would have not paid for the first terrible service and left. I only paid because I thought the business would take care of any issues that arose. Again. I have been to this salon many times and have never complained even when my nails didn't last past a week. On this occasion however it was very clear that my service was not done well and that I did not receive the quality of service I paid for. In an effort to stop this unnecessary argument I remained quiet and polite while my nails were fixed. I said thank you with a smile and left knowing I would never be returning. read more

I go to a local spa in Alexandria but choose this spa since they looked fancy for a better experience for my parents first time and myself before my wedding . I spent $350+ . On day 2 for my rehearsal before my wedding on 8/6 my pedicure didn't even hold up. People thought I did it myself and the design. Henry tried but seemed frustrated on my Nails and toes. It was just all too rushed. Charged $75 for a Brazilian by Ann who was great but again rushed and that was too much and cost I was unaware of. My moms finger was bleeding due to the manicurist cutting some skin. Next day it was swollen and ruined the polish from blood under the bandaid. Emily reached out and offered me 20% but then what's the point when my wedding is over. We booked 5 pedicures for a birthday spa day. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I sat underneath the air vents and they provided me a blanket and offered hot tea. Most of us had a great overall experience. One of my friend's nail technician dug too deep while cutting her cuticles and my other friend (birthday celebrant) was scratched with the hot stones and left marks on her legs. Jenny & Kim are AWESOME!! I went hear after reading all the reviews online regarding the salon and it's service from different patrons. One review discussed Jenny so I made an appointment with her. I am EXTREMELY particular when it comes to my nails & feet because I truly believe in great customer service and I I'm paying for a service I want it done correctly. The reason I went here is because it wasn't far from work & by the time I leave work and cross the bridge everything is about to close down anyway (the salon I went to closed at 7pm and I didn't appreciate the last comment that was made when I went there - I was told that I wanted my nails to perfect and this was because some of my nails required rebuffing/filing as there were crooked and not straight). So I made my first appointment after work and was able to be seen the same day I requested. The Salon is clean, great bright lighting (not dim so you think things look good until you get home into bright lighting and see all the mistakes). They offer drinks water, juice, tea, or wine (this is a +++). Jenny reworked my nails for me and Mae them look as the were a completely new set of acrylic nails after she reshaped & filed them to my request. All I said was - I hate my current set of nails, there to thick, uneven.& too wide. She okay and went to work. - Kim did my feet and normally I have to say can you please cut alot of the skin around the toes (if not te skin if left will be hard 2 days after feeling like you require a pedicure) and this is because I wore boots every day for 20 years in the military. Which also has made me prone to ingrown to toenails that require the corners of every toenails to be cut on both sides- Kim listened to my request and needless to say I've had 3 appointments which them since first utilizing their services and I haven't been disappointed!!! They even convinced me to try a color (red) which I never wear on my ands for he holidays, I ended up liking it so much the next appointment I got my feet & hands a different shade of red again!!! These two are awesome in the service they provide for me!! Which means I tip well!! Doesn't matter who you get, all technicians I have had were incredibly precise and so professional! Today I came in to repair a fill done by another salon (not cute!). Suzan began to fill my nails, realized halfway through that my set had begun to lift, and consulted me to recommend starting from scratch. She definitely could have just provided the service I asked for, got her money, and sent me on my merry way but instead took the extra step to ensure a quality service - and didn't even charge me extra! I never write reviews but today's subpar dip manicure needs to be shared. I gave 2 stars as Ann was a very nice lady. Truthfully my manicure deserves a -1 star. I just moved to VA 2 weeks ago and need a new nail place and person. When I made the appointment I was told a dip manicure with removal was $55 which is more expensive than Miami/Coral Gables if you can believe that. Being I'm in VA I agreed to the cost but much to my surprise it did not include an actual manicure just a dip change. I asked for a color similar to the one I had which was Hello Kitty dip. I wasn't shown any color options but was assured they had the perfect light pink and proceeded to remove my old dip. Next thing I know Ann is dipping my nails at lightning speed from coat to coat. When I realized I asked what about the manicure? She responds that it's not included and that it would be an additional $12. Now on the spot I had to agree as my cuticles needed cleaning. After a very thin and flimsy dip change and NOT a pink I was guaranteed she soaked my nails for a few seconds and barely cut any cuticle. I repeatedly asked for the cuticles to be cleaned throughly and Ann let me know that deep cuticle removal was a Russian manicure not a regular. Please see photo and judge for yourself if I was asking for deep or simply a properly cleaned cuticle. Also, see that my nails are the sheerest light pink that almost looks like clear dip instead of pink dip. Needless to say this was the most expensive (almost $80 with tip) and worst "Dip Change" not "Dip Manicure" I've ever had. Very disappointed. read more

Today was my third visit at this place, and it was the first time I left a bit disappointed. I have loved this place in the past and have recommended to several of my friends. But today was a different story. Let's talk about the good stuff first: - It's a spacious nail salon located in an amazing area. They validate the parking ticket, which is great. - They have sneeze guards at the manicure table which is great, especially during these covid times. - The nail service has been good. The first time I saw a lady who was super nice and meticulous, but cut my toe nail a bit. She did apologize but I was in pain for a while. Second and third time I saw a gentleman named Toni. He is nice and does a good job, but everything feels rushed. I have fungus in my toe which he didn't even bother cleaning. Other salons definitely clean the fungus toe but not here. Overall, they do a good job. Now to my concerns from today: - A pedicure and gel manicure costs $70. If you pay cash, you get a 5% discount which comes to $66.5. Today I took cash with me but Toni charged me $68. I told him it's supposed to be $66.5, but he didn't agree. I don't care about the $1.50, but it's about the policy. Will be great if all staff was knowledgeable about these things. - I felt my mani and pedi were rushed today. Each time I've come here, the pedi lasts 40 mins or so, and the gel manicure takes 30-35. Today I was out of the building in less than an hour. Usually before putting polish, they ask us to wash our hands. Today Toni was in such a rush, he quickly filed my nails and put polish. In the rush, he cut my finger a bit which he didn't notice. When I showed him blood, he quickly cleaned it up. The last two times I had a different experience but today it was just so rushed. No washing hands before polish, no hot towel over hands, and no filing in the end to ensure the gel is good. A bit disappointed. - As I was getting my pedicure today, I noticed three women on the opposite side getting pedicures. One of them was just sitting and chatting. But her mask was off her face. At first I thought it was just for a moment. But no - she did not put her mask on for the entire one hour I was there. None of the staff members bothered to ask her to wear a mask. I don't care if the spa policy does not mandate a mask. But the website says it does and there are signs outside the spa. I felt bad for the pedicure lady as she was less than 6 feet away from someone not wearing a mask. The technician even invited her to sit at the manicure table with her friend....without a mask. Would be great if management takes special attention to these matters, especially during the pandemic. - I also did not see them sanitize the gel machines. I saw them bring the gel machine used for a pedicure at the manicure table for charge, so it could be used for someone else. But I didn't see them clean the machine after every use. Maybe just take a disinfectant wipe and clean the inside? I wasn't sure if the gel machine my hands were going in was sanitized or not, so I washed my hands after and sanitized it. Not a big deal, but during these covid times, these small things matter. I want this place to flourish and be successful as I do like the place. I hope the manager reads this review and works to sort the above mentioned concerns. Will I go back? Yes - I will. Maybe will pick an odd time and take my wipes with me. read more

They don't follow nail trends and for the quality of service they are definitely 100% overpriced. For the prices they're charging you, I would think that they could do designs replicate colors from inspiration photos but they don't. I'm rating on the lower side because the nail technicians are very confrontational when you ask if they can file a nail or if they can correct a nail. I'm not a confrontational person so there have been a few times I walked out of the salon with just subpar nails and a big bill. If you're gonna come in with a photo of what you want your nails to look like it's most likely gonna be a five out of ten. read more

I went in for the first time after seeking out a new nail salon, the staff was friendly, and the had a HUGE selection of colors to choose from. Ana did my pedicure and gel manicure, she was really nice, and paid attention to the small details, she made sure i left the salon with perfect nails. The main reason I was seeking out a new nail salon was because the one i previously went to was good, but my nails would chip after 3-4 days every single time and Ana gave me a 10 day guarantee certificate that my nails wouldn't chip within that time frame, and if it did i could come back and fix it which is a big plus for me!
